Glyconutrients History and More

Glyconutrients were discovered during the 1980’s. It is rather interesting that it started out as research into the active ingredient in Aloe Vera. When the active ingredient was discovered several years later and determined to be a carbohydrate. Not just any carbohydrate but mannose in a complex molecular structure, the reason for this was the Mannose had to be stabilized which required it to bond to something else in order to remain stable. This was the first step in discovering that Glyconutrients played an important part in the communication and function of the body on a cellular level.

If you would like to read, more about Glyconutrients there are a significant number of journals and periodicals that can be obtained which contain information on Glyconutrients and the studies done on them. Some of these are Scientific America, MIT’s Technology review even Harpers Biochemistry a medical textbook contains information on Glyconutrients and their importance.

Natural sources of Glyconutrients are all around us and surprisingly easy to come by. The first is Mushrooms, for a long time people believed these had no nutritional value but they contain glucose, galactose and mannose all are known to be able to help boost the immune system of the body.

Saps and gums also contain things like galactose, rhamnose, arabinose and glucuronic acid, xylose and arabinoglactan depending on the gum or sap you are looking at. These carbohydrate combinations can have anti-inflammatory benefits, anti allergic benefits; assist in blocking cancer promoting agents and aid in the recovery of illnesses like chronic fatigue syndrome.

If you are looking for something natural to help your body consider adding mushrooms, saps and gums to your diet or foods which contain these naturally occurring foods. This will help to provide you with the Glyconutrients you need to maintain a healthy and active system.

Finding Cheap Flights to Spain

Make sure when you are looking to book your flight to Spain to enjoy the Spanish culture that you know what it is that you should be trying to do in an effort to get the most out of your flight when you are booking online. You should book your flights either really early or late, be willing to leave maybe a day early or late as well as trying to locate where the airports are located to see if you can find a local flight into that city.

Tip 1: Book your flight early or late

The best thing to do is to try and book your flight as early as possible in order to get the best rates possible for your flight. In many cases there will be a number of seats that are made available to early birds in order to fill the plane and drive up the prices for the people who are in need of a flight closer to when the flight is set to leave. In most cases it is recommended to book your flight at least 14 days in advance.

The other extreme is to wait until the very last minute. This works best if you have no concrete plans set out so as to be more flexible as long as you do not mind or have no true preference of where you are really going.

Tip 2: Be flexible

As far as flexibility is concerned you have to look not only at the city you are traveling to, but also surrounding airports are concerned. Look into where the locations are in proximity to where you are going. See if it conceivable to find a cheaper route that is close enough that the savings will be worth the drive to get where you want to be.

Some discounts or cheaper rates may also be available to those that are willing to work with the airline and deal with plane changes and layovers. If you are willing to deal with these then you will have the ability to get lower rates and be able to apply more money towards your vacation.

One last area flexibility can be helpful is if you are willing to alter your dates either one or two days in one direction or another. In many cases you can use these to your advantage. Possibly squeeze one more day out of your trip or save large amounts of money by leaving in the middle of the week as opposed to leaving on a weekend.

Day Job Killer - 2007 Clickbank Super Affiliate Marketing Handbook?

So who should you trust? Well, if you manage to roll back the clock to 2003, direct linking was so called the basic and staple of how internet marketers made money online back then. However, by 2006, Google and other major search engines began to punish and discontinue direct linking by purposely firing up the bid prices for specific keyword terms, actively encouraging advertisers to create proper landing pages, and limiting each search to only display a URL one at a time. The one ultimate motive they did that was to improve and increase the search experience for users all over. But this new rule that was brought down had the negative effect of enormously reducing the profit margins of all internet marketers and advertisers.

What Day Job Killer proclaims is to actually bring direct linking back to life as an advertising strategy that affiliate marketers and so forth can use in 2007 and beyond. Also one of the methods revealed is that, instead of just solely relying on existing affiliate strong holds like Clickbank and Commission Junction, Day Job Killer advocates marketers to start leaning on less saturated affiliate groups like Wal-Mart, Target, and the likes of them.

What I can only say is, only time will be capable in telling whether this will be an effective strategy that can be practiced and kept. Truly, the appeal of Day Job Killer’s premise is that affiliates do not need to master HTML or whatsover, cloaking links will never have to be in their inventory anymore, they surely do not need to waste time creating proper landing pages, and they do not need to create squeeze pages to build their list in order to make money.

With all things said and considered, the promise of Day Job Killer is that the easier, good old days of affiliate marketing are back for good. Is it really true? Can this be the true one perfect gift for you? To time, the jury is still out though on whether just simpler is better and profitable or how these search engine workarounds will actually be here to stay for us in 2007.

Bottom line is, whatever you do, before you even think about purchasing Day Job Killer, you should read up more about the book, including what other affiliate marketers like you are saying about it, real people who have used the product are reviewing about it, and not just people who are trying to make a quick buck from you.

A 30 Day Crusade Against Smoking - Day 11 Punish Those That litter

Bans on public smoking are spreading throughout the world. That suits Eric who is a lifelong non-smoker, nay, ANTI-smoker. For 30 days he will change the world and the habits of current smokers.

Day 11

My campaign has not been as successful as I would have liked. So far I have made more enemies than friends which is odd as it is ME that is the victim of the smoking scourge, not them. But there’s nowt as queer as folk, as they say. I will persevere.

So my attentions today are directed at litterbugs. They are everywhere – in alleyways, shop door ways and entrances to public buildings. I don’t mean normal litter louts (although they are bad enough) I mean smoking litterers. This has got a lot worse since certain places have banned smoking indoors. So now everyone stands outside to smoke which is bad for two reasons. First, I have to walk through their clouds of smoke and second they drop litter everywhere – cigarette butts and ash.

They don’t seem to care either – don’t worry that my local taxes pay for the Council to clear up this rubbish. We get our dog owners to use pooper scoopers and plastic bags for dog excrement. Well, smoker-excrement like this needs action too. So I am lobbying outside a public building today – wearing a 9 foot high costume of a litter bin. That should do the trick. And if anyone drops cigarette butt litter I am taking their photo, fingerprints, name, address and iris scans and reporting them to the local police department.

If it is their fist offence I would expect only a year’s jail term.

Symptoms of Genital Herpes - Know More To Save Yourself

Many people who contract genital herpes may not show any symptoms. Some may show mild symptoms that are taken as something else, while others may get severe problems.
Genital herpes occurs in episodes. When you contract the virus, the virus travels to the nerve centers near the spinal cord. It travels back from there to the genital area and breaks out from time to time.

First Episode-

The first episode begins within a fortnight of contact. Some people get severe symptoms of herpes in this episode while others may get very mild symptoms of herpes during the first episode. The main symptom is appearance of lesions. You may see blisters filled with fluid or ulcers. The blisters rupture in to ulcers in few days and crust and heal within a month. The common areas are: on the vulva, penis, near anus, thighs, and inside vagina. Commonly women get more severe symptoms then men. If women get blisters in the vagina, cervix or urethra they may take it as something else. The symptoms of urethra may be treated as urinary tract infection. The symptoms of the vagina or cervix may be treated as yeast infection, if they are also accompanied by a discharge. If a woman repeatedly gets such symptoms, she should get herself checked for herpes. Blisters in the urethra of men may also be misdiagnosed by the patient. One should keep watch over any such symptoms after having unprotected sex.

Painful urination and headache may also occur during the first episode. Some patients also show flu-like symptoms during the first episode. Those who get mild symptoms may take them as insect bites, rashes, ringworm, etc. As these symptoms resolve soon, people are left unaware of the fact that they have herpes.

Recurring Episodes-

Most often the recurring episodes are far milder than the first episode. While some may have up to eight episodes in a year, others may have only one or two episodes. The recurrence depends upon the triggers of herpes. Certain factors trigger herpes. If you are careless about them you may get more recurrences.

In the next episodes, the symptoms of genital herpes may appear like: ingrown hair, insect bites, pimples, spots, etc. If blisters form, they crust over in few days and resolve. Most of the following episodes resolve much quickly than the first episode. Symptoms mimicking hemorrhoids may also appear on the anus. If you get repeated fissures or any other symptoms near or on the genitals, you should get screened for genital herpes. On average, a person having genital herpes from HSV2 may have three to four episodes of recurrence every year. Many times, despite the virus being active near the genitals, one may show no symptoms. But during this phase the person sheds the virus. That is called asymptomatic shedding.

Prodrome phase-

Prodrome is the early symptom that indicates that a disease attack is imminent. Many people feel some pain, tingling or itching before active onset of genital herpes. Within a day or two, lesions appear on the affected area. Once you recognize the prodrome, you should begin your medicines to reduce the intensity and duration of the attack.

In The Market For Benidorm Apartments

There are many apartments that are available to rent when in Benidorm. Mostly in the area of Costa Blanca where they are located in high rise Benidorm apartments. In most cases the price of these apartments will vary based on the length of stay and of course whether you want city or shore view.

Extras In The Cost

Usually an apartment will cost in the same range as a mid priced hotel. However that is usually with the minimum of a week long stay as well. Rates will increase in most cases if the stay is less than a week and it is possible that the rates would decrease if the stay were to last longer.

In many cases many of the high rise apartments that you can say at will have a large balcony that will allow you to look out into the large expanse of the city. Many of the apartments also come with all of the furnishings one would need including appliances. This will allow you to cook and clean much as you would at your own home to possibly save money on eating out and not having to pack so much for a trip.

Since Benidorm has a reputation for the party it is likely that you will need to placer a breakage deposit on your apartment. This is a normal fee that you pay in the event that one or more items in your apartment are damaged as a result of your acts.

Usually the apartments that you rent will be either 1 or 2 bedroom and will have pull out sofas to allow for extra guests. However, usually the manager will have a limit to the number of people that will be allowed to stay in the apartment at one time. Check the guidelines that they have in order to know for sure.

Get Ready To Golf In Spain

There are many options when it comes to golf in Spain. In the warmer areas there are plenty of places to golf especially for the holidays near the coast. There have been many resorts and courses that have been established in the areas near the coast.

Make Your Plans For Your Trip

Costa del Sol is a wonderful place for golfing not only in Spain but in most of Europe as well. There are many new courses that have been developed as well as different places to stay while you are on your golf vacation in the area.

The wide varieties of courses that are located throughout the area are countless as more and more are being developed. In many cases these courses offer more than just this one sport on their sight. They will have a full service spa possibly they will even have a place to stay right on the property. In some cases they will be a full service vacation destination providing a place to eat as well as many different options of activities such as tennis or swimming or other sports.

In many of these places they also offer all of the services that a full service spa will offer. This includes massages, saunas, heated swimming, relaxation areas as well as special treatments for the women. Proper Golf In Spain

Make sure that you follow golf etiquette. Be aware that at times the courses will become very crowded and you will need to pay close attention and be on your game. All golfers get very frustrated if they are forced to wait because you are not going at a good pace or if you are messing around. So pay attention and look at what is going on and pay attention to what the people around you are doing.

Learning to Love Yourself With Self-Improvement

Sometimes, when all our doubts, fears and insecurities overwhelm us, we come up with the idea of “I wish I was somebody else.” More often than not we think and believe that someone, or even most people, are better than us, when in reality, the fact is that most people are more scared than we are. Learning to love yourself is part of the process of being both real and happy. Forget the “I will be happy when…” and learn to accept things as they are now.

For example, at a party, you spot an attractive girl casually sipping a long drink. You think to yourself, “she looks so perfectly calm and confident.” But if you could read her mind, you might see a dark clouds of thoughts and be amazed that she’s thinking “are people wondering why I am seated here on my own?” - “Why don’t guys find me attractive?” - “I don’t like my ankles, they look too skinny” - “I wish I was as clever as my best friend.”

We look at a young businessman and say “Hey what else could he ask for?” Yet he sees himself at the mirror and says to himself, “I hate my big nose, I wonder why my friends won’t talk to me, I hope mum and dad can still work things out.”

Isn’t it curious? When we look at other people we envy them for being so obviously perfect and we wish we could swap places with them. They look at us and think the same thing. We are as insecure as other people who themselves are as insecure as us. We suffer from the same low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence and lose hope in self improvement because we are enveloped in quiet desperation.

I have a friend who never gets tired of talking. And in most conversations, she is the only one who seems to be interested in the things she has to say. So all of our other friends tend to avoid the circles whenever she’s around, and she doesn’t notice how socially handicapped she is becoming and gradually affecting the people around her.

One key to self improvement is to LISTEN and TALK to a trusted friend. Find someone who you find comfort in opening up with even the most gentle topics you want to discuss. Ask questions like “do you think I am ill-mannered?”, “Do I always sound so argumentative?”, “Do I talk too loud?”, “Does my breath smell?”, “Do I ever bore you when were together?”. In this way, the other person will obviously know that you are interested in the process of self improvement. Lend her your ears for comments and criticisms and don’t give her answers like “Don’t exaggerate! That’s just the way I am!” Open up your mind and heart as well. And in return, you may want to help your friend with constructive criticism that will also help her improve her self.

George Benson sang in one of his great songs: “Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all.” True because in order to love others, you must love yourself too. Remember, you cannot give what you do not have.

Before telling other people how to improve themselves, let them see that you are an example of self improvement. Self improvement makes us better people, able to inspire others then the rest of the world will follow.

Stop thinking of yourself as somehow second-rate. Forget the repetitive thought of “If only I was richer” “if only I was thinner” and so on. Accepting your true self is the first step to self improvement. We need to stop comparing ourselves to others and start comparing only to ourselves; that way we can see self-improvement in action as we improve.

We all have our insecurities. Nobody is perfect. We always wish we had better things, better features, better body parts, and so on. But life need not be perfect for people to be happy about themselves. Self improvement and learning to love yourself is not a matter of shouting to the whole world that you are perfect and you are the best. It’s the virtue of acceptance and contentment. When we begin to improve ourselves, we then begin to feel contented and happy.

8 Things You Don’t Want to Cut from Bridge Saws

Bridge saws are the essential saws in manufacturing of products made of stone. This large saw can provide accurate cuts in slabs of material such as marble at a faster production rate than manual handsaws. When a company is considering the purchase of a bridge saw, it has several features to check out in order to choose the best bridge saw.

1. Beams and Bridge

Since the saw mechanism moves along the bridge and beams, these parts need to be strong and stable. The pressure created from cutting through heave stone will transfer to the bridge and beams. If the bridge and beams are not strong enough, they will give causing the cut to be off. Although cast iron beams can add up to 2 tons of weight, it is best to have a bridge saw that is more accurate and durable because it is built sturdier.

2. Oil Bath

A life saving feature for a bridge saw will be the oil bath. Stone cutting produces a great deal of dust and moisture that can be detrimental to the rollers and bearings of the machine. An oil bath will provide a self-maintaining lubricated track saving maintenance costs that come with bridge saws that have open, dry channels. This oil bath will also provide smoother tracking to increase the accuracy of cuts.

3. Controls

The modern programmable controls make running the bridge easier for the worker if it is user friendly. Look for a controller that allows manual, semi-automatic, and completely automatic programming. The operation of the controller should be simple enough for anyone to figure out fairly quickly. The best location for the controller is on a hanging pendant so that the operator does not have to walk around to set all the features. This type of controller will make production much more efficient.

4. Water System

When cutting stone, the water system protects the stone from cracking from overheated blades. The best water system for a bridge saw is an automatic valve that lets water out only when needed. This eliminates having to manually turn the water on or off from a distance that lets the water run longer than needed thereby increasing your water usage. Another cost saving feature to consider is a closed water system that recycles the water through the machine and possibly through the dust booth.

5. Tilting Table

For limitless options of angles, a hydraulic table that can be positioned to any angle rather than preset angles is preferable. Not only does it make loading the slab easier, it also allows angles for any required cut.

6. Motor

Depending on the material you will be cutting, you can choose a smaller bridge saw with a 10 to 15 horsepower motor. This is sufficient for up to 3cm thick stone. However, a larger 20 horsepower motor is needed for thick materials such as granite or marble.

7. Blades

Ranging from 24 inches to 48 inches, the size of the blade will also depend on the material you intend to cut. The larger blades do allow faster cuts, but they will have to use the larger motor.

8. Other Accessories

A laser can increase accuracy of cuts by projecting a cut line across the material to help line up the bridge saw blade with the cutting line. A safety shut-off device is a must to help prevent accidental injuries to the operator. The warranty should also at least meet the industry standards, which are one year on mechanical parts and labor and 90 days on the electrical parts.

Consider all of these aspects before investing in a bridge saw. Use colleagues who are familiar with the industry to find references for reputable bridge saw manufacturers to consider.

3 Features to Consider in the Best Portable Table Saw

How do you know which portable table saw to buy? Well, you need to look at each saw’s accuracy, motor/mount system, and portability and then match those features’ levels with your level of need. Do you intend to use the portable table saw at several job sites or will it probably stay in your shop most of the time? Is it going to be used heavily or only occasionally for your hobby? Mainly, you should consider the table and fence set up, the motor and blade mounting system, and any accessories.

Set Up of Table and Fence

The table and fence will affect the accuracy of your cuts. A fence and guide rail that extends beyond the table will allow wider accurate cuts.

DeWalt’s DW744 model has a large table with a fence and rail that supports a 24 1/2- inch rip cut. The table can extend on a cogwheel and tooth-track system that adjusts the fence, which locks at the rails’ ends.

Both Bosch and Ridgid make a portable table saw that has an extendable table that pulls out with the rails to increase the width of the cut. Ridgid’s saws are made only for Home Depot. Bosch’s portable table saw has aluminum rails that are less likely to flex under heavy plywood, but Ridgid’s rails are even sturdier.

Ryobi’s BT3000SX is the only table saw that has a wider cutting capacity at a 33-inch width. This portable table saw pushes the term portable because its extendable fence, sliding miter table, and quick-change inserts all add considerable weight to the overall unit.

Two other heavy portable table saws include the Jet and Hitachi products. The Jet has a cast iron table and double extensions making it too heavy to easily move, especially if you have to go up stairs or lift it up into a truck. However, it is wide enough to rip plywood in half. The Hitachi C10RA2 has a table made of cast aluminum, but the unit has a steel jacket which makes it too heavy for one person to move even if it is not bolted to its stand that is made of steel.

Delta, Powermatic, and Skil all offer bench saws that are small and lightweight for easy moving while providing a price tag of almost half of the larger portable table saws. Delta and Skil both come with a cast aluminum table and cam-locking fences, while Powermatic has a larger, brushed-aluminum table that has two accurate extensions. However, these three will not be able to compete with the workload of the larger saws.

Motors and Mounting

The way the motor and blade is mounted is an important feature on portable table saws.

The smaller bench table saws mount the motor on a single side bracket. This system then pivots in order to raise or lower the blade. This system can ruin a cut by deflecting, or it can bind the blade if it has to cut a heavy load.

The bigger portable table saws use guide rods or symmetrical tracks to adjust the blade. If left straight, this system reduces vibration of the blade and motor allowing more accurate cuts. However, if the angle is adjusted, the vibration returns.

Improving on this blade/motor carriage, Makiti and Ridgid portable table saws use a tooth and cog adjuster on their height adjuster wheel.

Ryobi and Hitachi both have a push/pull hand-wheel adjuster. However, Hitachi uses plastic gears and track, so its durability may be compromised.

The Jet portable table saw has the best blade/motor mount system with a heavy gear-screw system on two separate hand-wheels: one for height and one for angles. This does make it heavier, but more accurate.

Accessories

The accessories are evaluated for just how portable they make the portable table saw.

Makita has a way to increase the width of cuts to 49 inches with its accessory stand. However, the stand is bulky and adds to the time it takes to set up.

Although Ryobi offers a steel cart with an extension table, these are mainly useful for shop use only because they detract from it portability to different sites.

The universal stand with legs and bolts is offered with Jet, Delta, Skil, Hitachi, Makita and Powermatic. The weight of this steel stand detracts from the portability of these brands.

The easiest stands to move and set up are found on DeWalt, Bosch, and Ridgid portable table saws. Bosch and DeWalt have stands that pop open and fold flat in one easy movement. However, the legs do not adjust for uneven footing. Ridgid improves portability by using a stand that folds into a hand truck to move both the stand and the saw.

Overall

DeWalt, Bosch, and Ridgid stand out as the best when looking at portability and useful features. They offer the largest cutting widths, most durable motor/blade mounting systems and easy portability for use on several job sites. However, they may be more than you need and more than you can afford. If you need accurate cuts at a cheaper price, you can still get good quality cuts from Makita or Hitachi at a much more affordable prices. And, if you are the occasional wood worker that does not travel or need professional results, the least expensive bench models may be the way to go for you. Each portable table saw reviewed has its positives and negatives depending on your particular wood cutting needs.
