How to Get Low Cost Health Insurance in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Did you know your credit score could be affecting your chances of obtaining low cost health insurance in the Commonwealth of Virginia? It’s true. Many health insurance companies look at a potential policyholder’s credit score when determining how much that person will pay for a health insurance plan.

Be careful not to confuse your credit score with your credit history - they’re very similar, but still different things. Your credit history is a full outline of your financial past - payments made, credit applied for, credit received, foreclosures, bankruptcies - you get the idea. Your credit score is an abstract of all of the factors included in your credit history summed up in one number.

So why could your credit score be affecting your chances of obtaining low cost health insurance in the Commonwealth of Virginia?

Well, if you have a poor credit score, health insurance companies may charge you more for a health insurance policy than someone with a good credit score. Large insurance companies may also create a specific list of health insurance companies under them that can offer you a health insurance policy based on your credit score.

If you have no credit at all, i.e., you have no credit score, the health insurance company will treat you in one of two ways: as if you had a neutral credit score, or, specialize their underwriting policy for your health insurance policy based on the fact that you have no credit score.

Remember, a health insurance company can indeed refuse to offer you a health insurance policy - much less a low cost health insurance policy - in the Commonwealth of Virginia if they aren’t pleased with your credit score. They can not, however, refuse to renew your health insurance policy based completely on your credit score.

To give yourself a heads up, check out your credit score before you begin your search for low cost health insurance in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

How to Find Kids Affordable Health Insurance

Unless we are eligible for an excellent employer-sponsored group health insurance package, health insurance can sometimes be anything but affordable. When this is the case, many of us opt not to purchase health insurance for ourselves. We rationalize not purchasing health insurance by telling ourselves there are mouths to feed, bodies to clothe, and other bills to be paid.

Denying ourselves health insurance is not wise; however, denying our kids health insurance is even worse. Kids’ health needs even more attention than our health. For example, kids need immunizations to help them ward off infections and diseases and grow healthy and strong. Kids need special attention to help them learn to practice good dental care habits and nutritional ways of life. Plus, a bout of the flu, which usually means lots of rest and chicken soup for adults, could be much more serious for kids.

Do, how can we find affordable health insurance for our kids - especially if we can not seem to afford it for ourselves?

The best option is to contact our state’s department of insurance. Many states in America provide at least one kind of state-sponsored health care program for individuals who can’t otherwise find affordable health insurance. Even better news is that most states in America provide kid-specific state-sponsored health care programs for kids with parents who can’t otherwise find affordable health insurance for them.

Health care provided by state-sponsored affordable health insurance for kids includes all or any combination of the following: regular check-ups and hospital visits, immunizations, X-rays, lab work, prescription medications, and even dental care.

There may be days when obtaining affordable health insurance for yourself seems impossible, but finding kids affordable health insurance is always possible. Just pick up the phone and call your state’s department of insurance. Or, check their Web sites for more information. Find affordable health insurance for your kids; make sure they grow up safe, healthy, and happy.

How To Increase Your Online Business And Destroy Your Competition…

I know, I know. It doesn’t sound too nice. But lets face it, in business, if customers don’t pick your business, they’ve picked somebody else. I want to help you so that the customer picks YOUR business over somebody else’s.
This is basically for e-commerce, so for traditional business, emails, e-zines, etc., might not apply but you might still be able to implement the idea behind the statement.

* Give people a free subscription to your e-zine. Almost everyone is publishing a e-zine nowadays so it’s important to give something extra with the free subscription. You could offer a free gift or advertising when people subscribe.

* Offer a free online directory. The directory could be full of interesting ebooks, e-zines, web sites etc. If people find your directory to be a valuable resource they will visit it over and over.

* Give your visitors a free ebook. You could also include your own ad in the ebook and allow other people to give it away. If you don’t want to take the time to write one, you could ask other writers permission to use their articles. I have written a few articles on this topic. Go to Google or Yahoo and search under my name and e-books. Otherwise, email me and I’ll send you my article.

* Give visitors a free entry into your contest or sweepstakes. The prizes should be something of interest or value to your visitors. Offer more entrys based upon # of items purchases or total dollars spent. Example: 1st entry with purchase, additional entries for each $50 spent. Also, most people who enter will continually revisit your web site to find out who won.

* Offer free original content. It’s important to give your visitors information they can’t find anywhere else. If you’re the only source, they’ll visit your site. If you are selling beauty products, do your homework and find beauty or health tips and post them on your site.

* Make your web site look professional. You want to have your own domain name, easy navigation, attractive graphics, etc. Again, target your competition. If they have a very basic site, take advantage of that and get a great looking site.

* Survey your existing customers. Do this on at least an annual basis. It is VERY important to find out who your customer base is. By knowing who you are servicing, you can serve them better.

* Test and improve your ad copy. There are many people who write an ad and never change it. Make sure you get the highest possible response rate. Ask people for their opinion.

Take what you can from this; hopefully I’ve helped you today. Remember, its your business, & you know it better than I do. The goal is to have you know more about your customers than your competitors do.

Promotional Marketing - Effective Tradeshow Traffic Arrest Tactics

My client was dumbfounded. The answer wasn’t complicated, costly or hard to do. The question was, “How do I effectively engage people at the tradeshow?”

“All you gotta do,” I said, “is invite people to take a sheet of your letterhead, make a paper airplane and see if they can fly it into the open window of one of your units.”

My client was a Recreational Vehicle (RV) dealer selling motor homes, travel trailers and 5th wheels to the upscale camping crowd. She was spending a wad on tradeshows but wasn’t getting the results she wanted. So I went to an RV show and had a look around.

Talk about BORING! Every booth was staffed with polite people standing outside their RV’s smiling and saying, “Hi. Howyado’in” to everyone that passed by. RVing is supposed to be exciting and fun. But not one single dealer at that show had a mechanism by which to break the boredom, arrest and engage attendees.

I went back and told my client, “You gotta give these people something fun to do. Something that captures the spirit of RVing.” That’s when I shared the paper airplane concept with her. “If they get the airplane through the window,” I explained, “then they have to go inside to retrieve it and receive their prize. You’ve got ‘em where you want ‘em - INSIDE THE UNIT!”

Too often, trade show exhibitors believe that handing some cheap do-dad to everyone who walks by their booth is effectively promoting their business. Key words in that sentence are, “everyone who walks by.” The whole point of a tradeshow is to find qualified prospects. That means you have to find out who is interested in your product or service AND can afford it. You can’t do that if everyone is walking by.

Here’s how I engage people at tradeshows. I use a water globe game where you attempt to get a golf ball to sit on a tee. I stand at my booth with the thing in my hand with 2 or 3 more sitting on the table.

I play with it and invite passers-by to try it. I tell them, “If you can get the ball to rest on the tee, I’ll give you a free flashlight.” You can offer anything you want … I just happened to get a great deal on flashlights.

While they’re trying to accomplish the task, I ask them what they do and ask appropriate follow ups from there. Most people can’t get the ball on the tee. So after a couple minutes, before they get frustrated, I say, “Would you like an easier way to get the flashlight?” They always answer “yes”. I then hand them my “Needs Assessment Profile”.

I say, “This sheet pretty much mirrors our approach to promotional marketing. 1) What do you want to accomplish with your marketing? 2) Who do you want to impact? 3) And most importantly, what do you want the target to do? Because after all, what’s the point if you don’t get your target to do something.”

Each section has check offs to make it easy. If they fill out the form, I give them the flashlight. If they take it with them and fax me the form, I mail them their gift.

A number of important things happen here: 1) If they fill out the form, it’s likely on some level, they are interested in what I have to offer. 2) I give away something IF, and ONLY if, I get actionable data first. 3) My company and me are associated with a happy/fun moment in their life.

This tactic stops people and engages them. While they’re playing with the game, their guard is down - they’re likely to open up a bit more. The focus gently transitions into my creative problem-solving approach and how they can benefit from it.

There are hundreds of ways to arrest tradeshow attendees. A paper cup, a golf ball and a putter. A magnetic dartboard. Ring toss. Throw a ball in a basket. Firing rubber bands with your finger to knock over a cup. Drop a coin into a shot glass that’s inside a large jar filled with water. Some of the best activities are the ones that elicit the comment, “I haven’t done this since I was a kid,” such as hula hoops, paper airplanes, silly putty … playing tic-tac-toe.

With a little creative thought, you can come up with a simple, fun activity that will arrest tradeshow attendees and increase your ability to achieve your tradeshow goals. Remember, you don’t have to be in law enforcement to arrest someone. Sometimes, you can stop traffic with a paper airplane.

Edmonton Bankruptcy Series- Do I need to open New Bank Account When Filing a Bankruptcy or Proposal?

When we are contacted by individuals who are considering filing a bankruptcy or consumer proposal in Edmonton, Alberta, we always suggest that they immediately open a new bank account. While this is a suggestion and not a legislative requirement; it is almost always in their best interests to do so.

There are really only three scenarios that opening this new account is critical, but we find that at least one of these applies to virtually all of our inquiries.

The most common situation involves people who owe money to the institution that they are currently banking with. In this situation, the institution (i.e. the bank) often tries to seize any monies in your account and directly apply them to the outstanding loans. Legally speaking, this is referred to as “set-off,” and in the absence of a bankruptcy or proposal this is their right. However, the day you file the bankruptcy or proposal, this right is lost. Unfortunately, there is a delay between the time you sign all the required documents and when they are received and processed by the bank. Realistically speaking, if during this delay any funds are seized, the trustee can arrange for the funds to be returned, but this often can take up to 3 months and may cause some difficulties for you if the monies are required for day to day living expenses.

Over the last decade, it has become common practice to arrange bill payments to automatically be withdrawn from your account (i.e. direct payment). Due to the same unavoidable delay, payments are often withdrawn after the date of signing. In fact, it often takes a couple of months for the bank to recognize the filing of a bankruptcy or a proposal, and if they continue to take payments out of the account when they aren’t entitled, you may again experience the same problem as in the first scenario. We can get the money returned, but again it can often take time.

The third scenario that can create difficulties is if you have an overdraft on your account. Technically the overdraft is an unsecured debt, and the filing of a bankruptcy or proposal will serve to automatically cancel and clear this debt. This really only becomes an issue if you make any deposits into the account, because the bank will automatically use the monies to reduce the amount you are in overdraft, and it can often be very difficult to trace these types of transactions. As a result, the funds may not be recoverable by the trustee.

As a result we always suggest that it is in your best interests to open a new account with an institution that you do not owe money, prior to filing either a bankruptcy or consumer proposal in Edmonton, Alberta. For more information on this feel free to contact Goth & Company Inc. at 780-435-5110.

Getting Children To Help Without Paying Them A Cent

Children generally belong to their families in two ways- either through positive contribution or through self-centredness, which often shows itself through misbehaviour or helplessness.

Effective parents provide real opportunities for children to contribute to their family’s and their own well-being so they feel valued for what they bring to the family, rather than what they can take. We often call this contribution ‘jobs’ or ‘chores’, but it is better to call it ‘help’. It is just a little rebranding, but the term ‘help’ better reflects what it is about.

“What does my child do around the house that other people rely upon?” is a question we need to ask ourselves constantly.

Training for contribution and independence starts from a young age and continues into adolescence. Developmentally, children are ready around two years of age to learn the skills of independence so it makes sense to begin these habits early.

Encouraging a positive contribution is one the best ways to promote self-confidence. Parents who teach children to do jobs for themselves and provide opportunities for input into family decisions related to age, issue and interest send a powerful message that they believe that their children are capable. Actions speak louder than words.

Children are capable of doing complex tasks if we show them how. It is useful to break complex jobs into simple tasks. For instance, a young child can begin making a bed by arranging teddies and pillows, progressing to smoothing out a doona and so on.

Children will often make mistakes when they assume greater responsibility so expectations need to be in line with children’s capabilities. Parents need to accept their genuine efforts and also be supportive when they make mistakes.

It is difficult sometimes to know when to allow children to assume more responsibility for their own well-being. Parents need to continuously assess our children’s capabilities and consider letting go when they appear ready. “What am I doing now that my child can do for themselves?” is a challenging question for many parents.

To give children the opportunity to contribute at home:

1. Establish a weekly HELP roster. Lists have the advantage of placing responsibility on to children to perform the helping task - without you reminding them. Involve your children in establishing the roster.

2. Think about what you are doing for children regularly that they can do for themselves. Identify one thing and give that responsibility to your children.

3. Ask children to take prepare or help you make at least one evening or main meal a week.

4. Identify a helping task (e.g emptying the dishwasher, taking out the garbage) where your children can take turns being The BOSS for a week. They can make up the rules for that week about how the task is organised.

The most effective way to promote responsibility in children is to give them responsibility. When we give them more responsibility we are making ourselves redundant, which is the main aim of parenting!

The Law of Attraction And Your Life

Are you happy where you are right now? Are you living your dreams? What do you think about? Have you ever noticed that you are living and experiencing what you are thinking about? Would you like things to be different? Are you interested in better connected relationships? Are you interested in creating more wealth? Are you attracting positive energy or negative energy? Do you realize the power you have within? When you are ready to change your life begin by changing the thoughts inside your own mind; and the energies your new thoughts put out will attract like energies. This is the most powerful law of nature - The Law of Attraction.

The Law of Attraction is about attracting into your life that which you think about. However you must know and believe down to your core what you want.
So first be very specific about what you want. Write it down. Believe and have faith in what you want will become a reality. Keep these thoughts close to your heart. Your life will now reveal opportunities to you.

Your responsibility now will be to say yes to new opportunities even if you feel a little off-balance. If you feel off-balance or resistant to these new opportunities, go back to your list of desires. Think about them for awhile so that each time you read those words you bring about belief in yourself and the confidence that you deserve to be blessed. Now when an opportunity arrives say “Yes!”

Align yourself with others who feel the same and you will create a force that is unstoppable.

Change exceeds all expectations.

How To Write Ads and Banners that Make People Click!

Sure there are pages and pages of articles telling you how this color or that music on you web page will encourage people to buy but here is the truth: The most important tool is the words that you use. Most people shop with emotions. Figure out a way to get them “emotional” and you have a sale!

Here are some techniques that I have used in the past to get my sales moving:

* Use reverse psychology on your banner ads. You could tell people not to click on your banner ad. For example “Don’t Click unless you want to make money!”

* Make your banner ad words as attractive as possible. Use words like ultimate, powerful, sizzling, hot, etc. Remember emotions will cause them to buy and very descriptive words do the trick.

* Offer a discount offer on your banner ad. People are always looking for good deals. You could offer a percentage discount, dollar discount, buy one get one free discount, etc.

* Use a testimonial on your banner ad. This’ll give people proof they aren’t wasting their time clicking on your banner ad. The testimonial should include enough information so that they understand the offer.

* Use a strong guarantee on your banner ad. You could include the guarantee as a headline for your offer. It could read double or triple your money back guarantee, lifetime your money back guarantee, etc.

* Tell people to click on your banner ad. Newer internet users may not even know they can click on banners. Just having the phrase “click here” on your banner will increase your click-throughs.

* Tell people the major benefit of your product, web site or service on your banner ad. It could be benefits like make money, lose weight, increase energy, save money, save time, etc.

* You could advertise a free offer on your banner ad. People love free stuff. The freebie should relate to your target audience. If the freebie is attractive to them, they will click. For example, if you were selling diet product, offering a free water bottle or food journal will get them to click.

When talking about the actual language of the banner ads, it is important to not only know what words are effective but WHY people are motivated to click once they see certain words.

* Fast: People want fast results, fast delivery, fast ordering, etc. We want everything NOW. Your customers do too.

* Guaranteed: People want to be assured they are not risking their hard
earned money buying your product.

* Limited: People want to own or receive things that are exclusive or rare because they are considered to be more valuable. A “limited time offer” encourages people to act now.

* Easy/Simple: People want easy ordering, easy instructions, easy to use, easy payments, etc.

* Testimonial: People want to see believable proof before they buy your
product. It should be reputable and also an emotion-evoking statement.

* Discount/Sale: People want to find bargains. They could be rebates, one-time sales, percentage offers, two-for-one, etc.

* Free: People want free incentives before they do business with you. The key here is incentive, as in incentive to buy more than one item. Three or more items = free shipping or $200 purchase is 10% off or whatever. People will always buy more in order to save money.

* You/Your: People want to know that you are talking them. This’ll make them feel important and attract them to read the whole ad.

* Important: People do not want to miss important information that could affect their life. People will stop and take notice.

* New: People want new products or services that will improve their life like new information, tastes, technology, results, etc.

Well that’s certainly not everything, but it’s a start. And I guarantee (see I used it myself) that it will help your business.

A Seiko Watch - Long Lasting And Reliable

You have wanted to purchase a Seiko watch for as long as you can remember but you just never got around to it. You have seen this company’s watches advertised on the internet and in stores and now you want to purchase one for your very own. Seiko was established in 1881 and is one of the premier watch manufacturers in the world today and introduced their first quartz watch in 1969.

Sekio believes that the best way for you to select and actually buy one of their watches is by going through one of their authorized retailers in a store. This will help ensure that you have an opportunity to see the latest Seiko styles that are available to the public. In addition, by purchasing from the authorized retailer, they will ensure that your watch is properly sized so that it fits correctly and they will provide you with any special operating instructions about the watch.

So, you want a Seiko watch. Now, what watch are you interested in getting? Did you know that you are no longer confined to the standard watch that your father and grandfather had? Consider one of the new Seiko watches-such as the world’s first electronic paper watch. It was touted as being the first watch to utilize an electronic paper display-this design incorporated an easy-to-read, ultra-thin, low-power display integrated into an eye-catching curved band.
How about the Seiko Kinetic watch?

You will never have to worry about taking your watch to the jeweler just to change the battery. The Kinetic watch has a quartz movement that does not use a battery. By the simple move of your wrist, the capacitor charges itself. Once the capacitor is fully charged, your watches will store energy for up to 6 months. If you wear your watch everyday, the capacitor is continually recharged and there are over 20 models to choose from.

Are you concerned about the plight of people in far away countries that are working in mines or supporting terrorists? Well, Seiko advertised that the diamonds used in their watches were purchased from legitimate sources and that they were not involved in funding conflicts.

So, what Seiko watch will you buy for yourself? It really does not matter because they are all excellent products. What you need to do is to make up your mind. Not an easy task to do since there are hundreds of different makes, models and styles to choose from.

Go into an authorized dealer and take a look around. Or, go onto the internet and look at what is available. It may be that your perfect watch is on the internet and that your local authorized distributor will have to order it for you. But, what is better than having a watch ordered for you and sized perfectly to your wrist. And, if there is a problem, you can go back to the dealer or contact Seiko Corporation of America directly by emailing their web site.

Good old fashion customer service can go a long way, and Seiko watch authorized distributors know about their products and how to please the consumer.

For more information on watches try visiting http://www.Watches4All.com, a website that specializes in providing watch related tips, advice and resources to include information on the Seiko watch
