Blogs are popping up everywhere. The blogosphere has become huge and
now you want to know how you can make money as a blogger. Sounds great,
doesn’t sit? Sit at home all day. Get up when you want. Work when you
want. Stroll a few fee from your bed to your home office, turn on the
computer. Make some posts on your blog. Check and see how much money
you made while you slept. But how do you do it? How do you make money
blogging?

Yes, you can blog for profit. But you need to keep in mind, that starting
a blogging business is still work. Sure, there are a lot of advantages, like
those mentioned above, to many other jobs or businesses you could start.
But if you want to make a full time living blogging, you need to treat it
like a serious business.

Most people who start blogs fail to make any money, just like most people
who start businesses, see those businesses fail in the first five years.
So how do you avoid the same fate?

First, you have to have realistic expectations. Don’t let all the internet
marketing sales letters you see put it in your head that you can start a blog,
work 1 or 2 hours a day and be raking in more cash than you can handle within
a month. It’s not going to happen. People with those kinds of expecations
will quit long before they see any results with their blog because their
expectations are unrealistic.

Another problem is the lack of a plan. As I mentioned above, blogging for
profit is a business. You need to treat it like one and that means having
a business plan. Put together a realistic business plan and then stick with
it.

Understand that the most important aspect of running your blog is marketing
your blog. No, it’s not the quality of your writing (although that has to
be good, too). Why? Because, no matter how good your writing may be, if
no one visits your blog, if you don’t get traffic, you won’t make any money.

Can you really make money with squidoo? I think the appropriate question is, how can I use squidoo to generate traffic. You see, my traffic has a monetization rate – I make so much money on average everytime someone visits one of my web pages.

And that money corresponds on squidoo – but squidoo itself does not make the money happen. You have to make the traffic happen on squidoo, and then use your email marketing and list building to monetize that traffic – and that is how you make money with squidoo.

So how do you generate traffic with squidoo?

There are a few different ways you can generate traffic with squidoo. One of the ways you can create traffic with squidoo is by creating lens (they call pages lenses, in squidoo-talk) and then linking to other lenses and getting traffic that way. They have a lens ranking system and the higher your lens is ranked, the more traffic you should get.

So you want to get good at getting a high rank. One of the things about squidoo that is really nice is that they use a 14 day ranking – so if you are more active with your lens than someone that has been there from the beginning, you have the opportunity to be number one in squidoo.

There are a few things you can do to get better lensrank, including get more traffic to your squidoo page, and get ranked by other lensmasters. To do this, just go in and rank other lenses, and ask the lensmasters to do the same for you. Your lensrank should go up. There are a number of other factors, including how often you update your lens – so why not update your lens daily?

One of the ways that I generate the bulk of my traffic is through article marketing, in addition to squidoo, etc.

Cats are as common as dogs, but somehow there are a lot of people who dislike cats more than they do dogs, but when asked why, their reply would be, oh, I just hate them, no particular reason. Why is it that some people dislike cats? Are they misinformed? Do they have misconceptions about the furry felines? Given a chance to change their opinions on cats, it is certain that they will find these animals just enjoyable as dogs as pets.

Since cats and dogs are the most common house pets, they are frequently compared and judged. Through these constant comparisons, misconceptions about cats are formed, and people will realize some not-so-attractive qualities about cats. But a cat shouldn’t be compared with a dog, as a dog is an affectionate animal, and requires constant love and attention, whereas a cat has a more independent character. That would be appealing to some people who prefer a pet which isn’t so demanding.

Let us now rid ourselves of the misconceptions we might have towards cats. Here are two examples which you may find familiar.

“Cats are cold towards people and have no personality.”

Yes, compared to dogs, cats are a lot less affectionate. They do not run to you with wagging tails when you come home from work to greet you, and in fact, they may even seem indifferent towards you. Therefore cats are misunderstood as being cold and would not make a great pet. But cats are very loving creatures; it is just that they have selected moments when they want to be affectionate, and it is not all the time that they want to be friendly.

Don’t misunderstand your cat’s rubbing and nestling up your leg as a sign that it’s hungry and wants food or treats. Just because they are not as affectionate as dogs does not mean that they do not appreciate some warmth and affection from their masters. Cats are more quiet creatures, and they rather chill on your lap, table areas or smuggle up next to you when they want to get some rest.

“Cats are able to handle themselves and do not need human contact”

Here is another false impression about cats which is not totally true. There may be more stray cats than dogs in your neighborhood, but it does not mean that your pet cat since birth will want to wander into the real world and take care of itself

Cats are easy to maintain, and they take care of themselves well, as we all already know. A cat, however, if well taken care of with a lot of love will be affectionate towards its master, and will want some contact with them. These are probably the most appreciated qualities about cats- low maintenance, compared to any other pets out there. See below for more information on Siamese Cats.

One of the most popular and fresh areas of online traffic generation lately is that of MySpace. MySpace is one of several social networking communities, and for some reason it is one of the most-used of them all. I guess everything online (like in life) has elements that rush to the top, and MySpace has done just that.

The thing about MySpace is that a lot of people are using Myspace.

One word of warning – I am hearing reports of more and more spamming going on on myspace, with people inviting like 400 people per day to visit their myspace portal. Of course that generates traffic, but I fear that is going to kill the golden goose.

I am going to suggest that myspace be used as part of a big picture in internet marketing. Use myspace to augment your traffic generating presence.

Put a squeeze page on your myspace page – I think that is real important. At least monetize your myspace portal. Make it relevant to your tags, and you can make some money there.

Of course, I am operating with the basic assumption that you are monetizing your list – I monetize my list at around $4 subscriber who comes into my list.

So how do I do the bulk of my traffic generation? Actually I use article marketing. Of course article marketing is the process of writing and submitting articles to various online article directories – and of course that content can be used on myspace. But my biggest source of traffic is the online article directories.

How to win in an online poker game? Over the years there have been a lot of strategies devised to beat online poker gaming. Here we go over some of the few winning tips you could consider to win in the game.

Bear in mind that these are just tips not set in stone methods that guarantee you to show you how to win online 100% of the time.

1. Always make sure you play your starting hands using hands with higher value.

2. Know when to hold ‘em and when to fold’em. As a player you need to learn the best time to fold a hand in online poker. You will not know how to win online playing every hand. As every profession poker player say, winning or losing depends mostly on the player and not just luck.

3. If you have just started to play poker or if winning is what you always want to do, then make sure you pick easy opponents to bet. 8. Knowing how to win at online poker will mean learning how to play the different types of hands. It is an asset in poker to have high flexibility with different types of hands. Professionals are able to glean right away what a beginner’s hand is as well as knowing when they have bad hands so that they can take advantage. So you must practice continuously using different types of hands so that you can taylor your
play in such a way that you do not give away the fact that you are a new player or an experienced one.

9. How the players are seated at the table should also be considered. It is always to your best advantage when you are the last player to take action because this will allow you to observe your opponents action making it more easy for you to create a game plan.

10. Spend a lot of time researching online, read books and articles about poker and most of all learn from your mistakes. Being prepared with al the information and skills is how you will know how to win in an online game or any game of poker.

The third thing you need to do is master listing your items, and this will get easier with time.

In today’s auto shop there are many potential hazards to the fragile human body. In order to have a safe and productive work environment, there are simple steps that need to be taken in order to insure the physical safety of everyone in your automotive service shop. There are many tools and pieces of equipment in use that can potentially seriously injure someone. The first step is to take census of your auto or mechanical shop and locate machinery and tools that can be potentially hazardous. Any machine or tool that can cause a serious injury must be safeguarded. For example, a band saw is common tool in a mechanical shop and has the ability to cut off fingers and limbs. This piece of equipment needs to be safeguarded and all applicable safety features should be correctly installed. It is all too common to the plastic safety guards removed on a table saw because they are in the way of the operator. Safety cannot be sacrificed for convenience.

But remember machinery is not the only hazard, you need to be aware of in the shop. The power cords and air hoses that power equipment also presents a tripping hazard. Many auto shops have several air hoses and power cords stretched all over the place and most of them are not even being used at the moment. To combat this problem and help keep your shop floor clutter free we recommend using an air hose reel. Air hose reels are mounted on the shop walls and are usually self retracting. When a mechanic finishes working with his air tools, the air hose can be retracted and stored with a quick tug on the hose. There are similar devices for extension cords as well. Lets face it, a mechanic is much more inclined to keep his air hoses and power cords retracted if its easy and an air hose reel makes it easy. Also, spilled grease oil and oil can collect on a shop floor and produce a slipping hazard. It is inevitable that motor oil and grease will end up on the concrete floor. Most auto shops have containment spill kits that can contain the oil spill and aid in cleaning it up the minute it happens.

The next level of safety is the person. Once the auto shop is a safe and secure environment, you will need to consider the mechanics and other workers in the area. Eye protection should be worn at all times. There is almost always some type of work going on that is a potential hazard your fragile eyes. For example, grinders and needle scalers are capable of throwing debris a long way from the point of contact. People working in the same area are in just as much danger is the operator using the tool. Also, chemicals and gasoline can be splashed onto unprotected eyes causing anything from mild discomfort to blindness.

Hand and feet protection is usually fairly obvious. Most mechanics wear gloves to prevent burns and cutting while working on automobile. But gloves are also needed for a variety of other tasks as well. Do not handle chemicals and solvents with out wearing gloves and remember to remove watches and other jewelry as well. Always be aware of where you fingers are especially when lifting heavy objects. It may seem obvious but it is all too common to crush your fingers by letting a heavy object down on them. Mechanics gloves are a great choice when you need to work with small parts and tools. Mechanics gloves are light and tight fitting on your hand. This allows you to feel the parts and tools and still maintain protection. For your feet, there are advanced mechanic shoes that help you gain traction on oily floors and boots with steel toes to protect you from heavy objects.

Safety in the auto shop requires some basic common sense and attention to detail. A safe work environment is a combination of both the work area and the workers themselves. It is everyone’s responsibility to make sure the proper safety gear is worn and the rules are followed.

You see, in making money with email marketing, the biggest thing is driving traffic. Sure, I have to have a great product, or I have to have an affiliation with a great affiliate company, but I have to drive traffic to my pages – and email marketing is the fuel that does that for me.

Seo is of course search engine optimization, but it makes for a whole lot easier typing if I do not spell it out! But seriously, seo is pretty important.

Seo is one of the most important things you can do for traffic generation long term. You see, in the short term, seo is not really that important. When you are first getting started, you really need the direct traffic, and you need it fast. Seo can takes months to take effect, and sometimes it moves up and down. You are number one for weeks and then you fall out of place. It just happens – but when you have many pages and many sites it affects you less than when you first get started and you only have a few sites.

Seo is just really a long term strategy, but the changes take awhile to take place – so you have to work on it now, while you are small, and it will help you get big. That is the bottom line. You have to work on seo now.

So what are the first 2 steps to seo?

1) You have to have your keywords on your web pages. I like to have my keywords on my titles, in my content, in my heading tags, and in my description tag.

2) You have to get backlinks to your web site. I like to use article marketing and web directory submission to do this. Article marketing can create faster inbound links than web directory submission, but the web directory submitting can help you get longer lasting links.
