Generating traffic from forums and making money in forums goes hand in hand, in my opinion. You see, everything we do on the internet, if it is going to make us money, is generally about creating and converting traffic.

Think about it – the only time you make money is when you get someone to buy from a sales page, or pay you for a service. And how do you get people to do that? You have to have traffic – that is the bottom line. But just because you have traffic doesn’t mean that you are out of the woods – you still have to convert that traffic. But without traffic, you aren’t converting anything.

So you may be thinking – well I make money with my list – and that is not traffic. Why, yes it is – think about it – with a list, you are simply driving traffic – sure, your own traffic, but traffic nevertheless – you are driving traffic to your web site with your list.

And generating traffic from forums is just about that – getting people to your sales pages and your squeeze pages. And I say squeeze pages because I really think that something that is really important is to get people onto your list. You see, if they are on your list, they are not just traffic once, but they are traffic forever.

So the key to making money with the forums is to drive traffic from the forums to your squeeze page so that you can create long-term traffic out of them. That is the real key – getting long term traffic out of them.
