Creating Your Own Ghostwriting Army - Without Spending A Dime

There are many methods of creating content on the fly for your information product. Most of them are great and very effective, but there is one method that is often not discussed, and it’s a wild one.

I’m sure everyone has posted on forums or message boards before. These are places where every discussion about every niche you want to know is available. To put it simply, these places are information goldmines!

The Search button is your friend here. Go to all popular forums on your niche, go to the search facility and use these power root words to help you find problems in your niche, and then the content:

problem
help
solution
how to
learn
want
need
learn

You will find posts like ”How do I solve this ________ problem?”
”I need to learn how to ________”
”A solution to__________”

This is a tactic you can use on the search engines as well. With this, you can find content that is created by experts (you have to use your finely-honed judgment and visit quality forums) As an example, there are many forums in the Internet marketing niche.

Now, if you want content for any part of your project, just simply create a new thread, make it controversial if possible, and you will have answers flying in left and right. You can use this content and create an informative ebook or report with a catchy title. This type of information always sells well.

With that, I wish you all the best in your content creation efforts and your online ventures.

Why Membership Sites Are Like Magazines

Nine percent of online users currently pay for online content. This number is increasing every year.

The magazine section of a bookstore is often the most crowded place in the store. People love magazines.

What do membership sites and magazines have in common?

I’m sure, if you buy a magazine, and like it, you will buy it again the next month (or the next fortnight). This means you are providing a recurring income for the magazine publisher.

If I buy a $15 magazine 12 years a year, what is the value I am providing to the publisher? 15 x 12 = $180. And my relationship with the magazine may go on for years yet. What is a simple purchase every month turns out into a big purchase. It is like a buying a television set using installments.

Now, this is great for magazines. However, only the best magazines make the shelves. The cost of printing the magazine is very high, and most of their profits come from the advertisers.

With membership sites, you don’t really depend on advertisers, unless you are a big player. What you depend on are customers renewing their subscription every month.

But look at it this way, as long as you provide the content they want, they won’t leave. For those that do, the new customers that you find will replace them. The average customer value of a membership site is often higher than that of a one-product site. 100 paying customers every month is better than 100,000 visitors who are getting free content.

If you ask me, getting 100 loyal customers is far easier than getting 100,000 people to your site every month!

To start a membership site is not difficult. In fact, you can start a membership site for very little!

How To Deal With Acne Problems?

Acne. The word itself brings shudders to most people as the thought of these monstrous beasts that sprout forth from their faces, neck, back and other places that would be indecent to mention, is one of the most horrible punishment one’s skin can receive. How can one show his face in public when it looked like it was attacked by a hoard of bees? How can one bear the embarrassment of acne on his neck that looked like a love bite gone wrong? Or how can a girl wear a bare back top knowing that her back acne probably matches the polka dot top she has on? Oh, the nasty red blemishes that threatens our vanity, confidence and our reputation!

It is an inevitable condition for some people, and others, blame it on ignorance. There are various kinds of acne, such as whiteheads, blackheads, pustules (zits) or papules (pimples that do not have a head). There are several myths on how acne comes of, but there aren’t solid proofs that each myth is true; it varies between each individual. Aside it being genetic, which can’t be helped, there are steps one can adopt to prevent acne.

Certain foods seem to trigger acne, as well as poor hygiene. If eating spicy foods or oily foods seem to cause more breakouts, by all means, avoid them. Drinking more water helps circulation and keeps the skin clear. When the body doesn’t have enough water, it tries to conserve water which is known as water retention. Water retention puts pressure on the skin cells which will cause blocked pores, hence the acne.

Bad habits such as picking on the pimple, or sleeping with make up on will just cause clogged pores, or inflammation, and therefore cause the condition to worsen when it could have been avoided. Although washing the face regularly helps subdue the budding of acne, excessive cleansing, especially with the wrong formulas, will bring undesired results.

A good dose of sunlight and adequate rest will help keep acne away, as vitamin D helps protect against infection and begin the normal repair process. Hormonal imbalance is also a cause of outbreaks, as androgen, when excessively secreted, will cause oily skin which triggers the acne. Stress can cause hormonal imbalance, but that can be rectified by exercising regularly, as exercising relieves stress.

That said, acne is still something we all have to accept as part of our lives, like it or not. For those who are blessed with clear complexions and never have to stare at rows and rows of acne treatment solutions or pimple gels, congratulations. But as for the rest of us, life goes on, and it is up to us to prevent it to make facing the world a little easier. For more information on Acne Treatment, please see below.

Have You Started Your Internet Business?

Have you started?

Your Internet business I mean. If you have, well done! You are on the road to achieving more freedom in your life. If you have not, well, why not?

Don’t quit your job! You can start part-time. In the past, starting a business often meant quitting your job. Now you can start your home business with as little as one hour a day. You can see if it is successful before you quit your job.

However, what I like to do is to train my mind to see that there is only option, don’t fall back on your job if you fail. This puts you into a ‘failure’ mindset right from the start. Often, it is giving yourself no option but to succeed that you will then do your best. Trick your mind to think that way.

There is no better time in history to be an entrepreneur. This is the worst time to be an employee. More and more tasks are becoming automated, and this will be more so in the future.

Starting a business has never been cheaper. Let’s compare your offline rent with an online business’ equivalent of rent - web hosting. Web hosting may cost $5-$25 a month, a store rent will cost you easily $50,000 a year or more, and with contractual obligations to boot. From day one, you are in debt.

I also do not know of many offline businesses that operate 24 hours. Ok, there’s McDonalds, there’s 7 Eleven. Not much more is there? I am looking down from my window, and all the shops are closed. These shops are not bringing in revenue at this moment. It is not physically possible.

Offline businesses live in the world of atoms, online businesses in the world of bits. One is a world of scarcity, one a world of abundance. Look at a supermarket, how much goods can it store? It has to decide what goods it can place on the shelves, and this is a very stringent process. Often, we think we can get everything in the supermarket, but there are more things that are missing.

You are judged by the quality you deliver online. You are not judged by your looks, your hair, your eyes, your shoes, your fingernails, or any of those things which are ultimately unimportant.

In the past, starting a business was enough to make one cower. Now, there’s no excuse.

Natural Born Pest Killers - Home Remedies for Pest Control

Not everybody likes cucumbers. You may be interested to learn that ants hate cucumbers, especially cucumber peels. You’ll especially appreciate that fact if you want to get rid of them. Just spread some cucumber peels - the more bitter, the better - where ants enter your home and they should get the message. Consider cucumber the “anti-welcome” mat for ants.

Cucumbers are one example of natural pest control. It’s using natural and generally non-toxic ingredients to repel or get rid of pests including ants, wasps, mites, moths, flies and other insects.

People are slicing up cucumbers instead of spraying Bug-Be-Gone because they don’t want toxic chemicals in their homes or in their garden sheds. There is growing evidence that synthetic pesticides pose a health risk to humans and animals.

Here at Planet Natural, we have a whole slew of natural pest controls, including Orange Guard ($8.95) which uses d-limonene, or orange peel extract, to control insect pests; Safer BioNeem ($12.95), which uses the active ingredient of neem oil - azadirachtin - to kill insects before they become biting or reproducing adults; as well as a variety of traps including the Disposable Yellow Jacket Trap ($4.95) and Apple Maggot Trap ($15.95).

For those willing to invest some time and effort at crafting their own remedies, we’ve gone on to list a variety of remedies to help you battle pests on the home front and in your garden.

Barriers act like barbed wire to keep crawling pests, such as ants, out. These include garlic - grind it up with water and apply - cayenne pepper, cinnamon, powdered charcoal, bone meal, talcum powder or chalk. Keep in mind that different pests have different aversions, so you’ll have to see what substance works best with the ones trying to sneak into your home.

Another way to think of barriers is to grow certain plants around the periphery of your home. They not only look nice, but will also deter pests. Plants known to repel ants and aphids include: spearmint, peppermint and pennyroyal.

You can use the same trick for fly control. Just substitute the above plants with mint and basil which repel flies, but smell good to humans.

Boiling water is excellent for ant control or if you see where they are creeping into your house, squeeze some lemon into the hole or crack.

Barriers also work for snails. They dislike sand, lime, copper or ashes, so use these borders to keep snails away.

Baking soda and powdered sugar mixed in equal parts is a good roach killer. Just spread around the area where you see roaches and soon you won’t see them anymore. (Boric Acid, while slightly more toxic, is naturally occurring and is another way to get rid of them.)

Here’s a really sneaky way to get rid of fire ants. (All’s fair in love and the war against insect pests.) The only way to get rid of an infestation is to assassinate the queen. Wait until a dry spell is about to end. Sprinkle instant grits on the fire ant hill. The workers will carry the grits to the queen for her royal meal. She’ll eat the grits and when it rains, she’ll drink. And that’s what will kill her. The grits will expand in her stomach and she’ll “bloat” to death. Once she’s out of the way, the leaderless ants will die off. (This suggestion came courtesy of the Tightwad Gazette II book.)

Cloves smell better than moth balls and are a natural deterrent against winged pests. You can also create a water trap by filling a small basin with water and leaving a night light suspended over it. Moths will be attracted to the light and will end up crashing and burning and falling into the water. Add a little dish soap to break the surface tension of the water.

Corn Gluten Meal may not sound very appetizing, but it’s a natural, preemptive strike against weeds. Apply it early in the spring before weeds sprout. Corn gluten meal is a byproduct of the corn milling process and is a natural fertilizer.

Diatomaceous earth is made up of the fossilized remains of diatoms, single-cell organisms. The glass-like nature of diatomaceous earth makes it one of the oldest forms of insecticide. The sharp surfaces cut through the insect cuticle and the insect dies of dehydration. Diatomaceous earth kills earwigs, ants and box elder bugs. Since it’s non-discriminate when it kills, be sure to only apply it just to the ground surface where you think insects are overstaying their welcome.

Grind rosemary leaves into a fine dust and sprinkle it onto your pet or its bedding to ward off fleas.

Ivory liquid dishwashing detergent can act as a natural insecticide. Dilute with water until it is a 1 or 2 percent solution and then spray on plants.

Need neem oil? Neem oil - made from guess what? - neem seeds, prevents fungus growth, and repels and kills insects, including mites. While it fights many scourges, it’s nontoxic to birds, mammals and most beneficial insects. One word of caution - it can sometime affect bees so use it as a spot treatment to minimize contact. Neem oil is usually sold in a concentrated form, to which you add water.

Fruit flies are wine connoisseurs. Okay, maybe they are not wine snobs, but they have been known to quaff a few drops here or there. They particularly like Chardonnay or so we hear. Use that knowledge to your advantage: fill up a saucer of some cheap white wine and add a little detergent to it. Leave it around for the flies to sip and die on. This solution brings knew meaning to the expression “rot gut.”

A natural fly catcher related to wine is to put something sickly sweet like mango peels in the bottom of narrow-necked wine bottles. The flies can fly in, but can’t fly out.

You can even make your own fly paper. Boil water, sugar and corn syrup together. Spread the extra-sticky mixture on brown paper grocery bags and voila you have your own fly paper which will trap flies.

For mosquito control the aged old custom of burning citronella candles will help repel the pesky critters.

To get rid of slugs and snails, invert a flower pot near a shady plant. Use a stick to prop up the flower pot or place on irregular ground - whatever will give enough of an entrance way for slugs and snails. They will crawl under the rim to avoid the heat. Check the flower pot at the end of the day and remove the slugs and snails.

Vinegar is a great herbicide. Fill a spray bottle with vinegar - white is best since it won’t stain, you certainly don’t want to use expensive, aged Balsamic vinegar on weeds - and spray the vinegar on your unwelcome flora on your porch, patio or back yard. It’s one of the few things that will work against noxious weeds such as Canadian Thistle. All vinegars are diluted, so try and buy the highest concentration you can at the supermarket.

Using organic lawn fertilizers will not only keep it green, it will make it healthy and more equipped to defend itself against weeds and pests. Organic fertilizers, such as bat guano, grass clippings, alfalfa meal, fish emulsion and worm castings, work well.

While natural pest control products are a step up from most commercial insecticides, you should still be restrained about using them. Don’t just leap at something that cures the symptom - look for the underlying or root cause and seek a solution for that problem. Overuse can end up creating new problems - getting rid of one pest in exchange for another.

That said, natural pest control can be a great non-toxic solution to keeping your garden and home pest free.

The 10 Commandments For Avoiding A Public Relations Disaster

Unless you’ve been living alone on a desert island with no communication, you know that we’ve experienced recently a spate of public figures who have virtually lost their careers because of inappropriate statements that became public knowledge. If only they had received divine guidance in how to manage their personal public relations, they might still be enjoying their successful careers. The
author has recently discovered an ancient scroll with ten sacred commandments that can ensure that the reader will avoid these public relations pitfalls.

1. Thou shalt think – and think clearly and carefully – before thou speaketh or writeth.
2. Thou shalt not write or say anything (that is, ANYTHING) that thou wouldst not be proud to see quoted in the media.
3. Thou shalt never say or write anything that is “off the record,” since thou knowest that in today’s world, NOTHING is off the record.
4. Thou shalt avoid jokes and trying to be “funny” or “cute,” since thou knowest that most humor has a hostile and sarcastic element. Thou shalt leavest the humor to the professional comedians and comedy writers.
5. In whatever thou sayest and writest, thou shalt ask, “How would someone who hates me interpret this?”
6. Thou shalt keep things positive, and avoid the negatives.
7. Thou shalt not insult any specific individual or group.
8. Thou shalt avoid the temptation to say something controversial, or to offer an “off the cuff” opinion about anything controversial.
9. Thou shalt offer opinions only within one’s own areas of knowledge, competence, and experience.
10. When in doubt about what to say or write, thou shalt consult.

The author is not certain which ancient public relations firm wrote the above ten commandments. However, their relevance for today’s world is unquestioned.

Sales Letter Writing - Sales Letter Writing Tips

Sales letter writing is not my favorite thing to do online – but I have had to learn how to do it. You see, I cannot afford to pay $5000 for a sales letter – and I didn’t want to have lousy sales letters – so I had to learn.

Now, if you have seen some of my sales letters, you know that I am not the best.

But my average sales page converts at around 5% - and I think that is pretty good.

This article is not going to do justice to learning to write a sales letter – I have read hundreds of pages and many sales letters, and even bought Yanik’s sales letter product – and I am still learning.

But this will give you the basics.

But before I get into that, let me tell you this – download the big books on writing sales letters. Start reading sales letters. Start writing out sales letters from the experts. Just practice. Write your own sales letter. It won’t be the best – but the second one should be better – and the only way you can get to the better 2nd one is if you write the first one.

And you need to test everything you do. More on that in another article, perhaps (I do not like writing about testing – it is so hard to explain).

So how do you write a sales letter for the web?

1) Write an exciting headline

2) Write some exciting copy, starting with a story illustrating a problem – then follow by indicating how your product solves the problem.

3) Create a long bullet list of benefits – benefits, not features –

4) End with a powerful guarantee.

5) Add an order button – then a PS.

That’s about all, folks.

By the way, how do I generate the bulk of my traffic to my sales pages? Ultimately, by writing and submitting articles like this (article marketing).

Do you want to learn more about how I do it? I have just completed my brand new guide to article marketing success, ‘Your Article Writing and Promotion Guide‘

How To Gain The Confidence Of Your Clients

How to gain the confidence of your clients

Imagine, you just started your new job as a sales assistant. You know nothing about sales and techniques and you have been figuratively been ‘Thrown in the deep end’

Well obviously, skills don’t just come to you in one go. Its something you have to build over time and develop. But, there are some basic steps you can follow to help you in your way to earning big bucks on commission.

Know your product There is nothing more to me than a sales assistant who doesn’t know the product. One example was at a local hardware store, I asked about a product and the assistant was looking though the instruction manual of the product to answer a very simple question.

How can you solve this? Simple, spend a few minutes a day when business is slow to have a look at the products in detail, read the manual during your break and ask other staff questions about it. This can be a very helpful technique if you have limited knowledge on the product.

Look Smart, Keep Clean Dress to impress your customer. If you dress smart, it makes the customer feel more in the fact that you know what you are doing. It gives yourself and the company a good image. Make sure your uniform if neat and tidy, and check you have no awkward smells or markings that may deter customers.

Build a relationship Build a relationship with your customer, if they have just popped in to browse, just ask them how they are. (Try not to force any sales techniques onto them)

If you find out there name, call them by it. It makes the customer feel welcome to your shop.

Commission This is a tip a friend gave me a few months ago. If you get commission for selling products, a good tip is to print off your name and reference number in small cards to hand out to customers who aren’t ready to buy the product yet. With this in mind, customers who do return can say “John Johnson told me about this product, this is his reference code” This technique is very affective and can gain you a few extra $$$ even when your not about!

Grieving and Moving On - Nanny, Why Don’t You Sell that House?

My grandmother could not sell her house or any of Pap’s belongings for many years after my grandfather died. She just wasn’t ready to let go of the memories they had shared. No one in our family pushed her even when she let his 1971 Datsun pickup truck sit in the yard until it literally rusted and dry rotted. It wouldn’t crank so no one could move it.

The neighborhood was going down in value and crime was increasing as renters took over the 50 year old homes. Then, one day Nanny came to my mother and said, “Doris, it’s time. I’m ready to sell and get out of this neighborhood. Pap isn’t coming back. He’s not in that house or his truck. He lives in my memories and I can take them with me no matter where I live.”

My mother lived next door. She and Dad had wanted to sell for years, but they waited for Nanny to make up her mind. Once they got the okay from Nanny, Mom and Dad put their house up for sale along with Nanny’s house and the vacant lot between them that we had used as a garden plot for nearly 30 years. All three properties sold within a month at a price much higher than they expected.

Then, they found the perfect one-story house that backs up to the lake for all three of them to live together, each having their privacy in a split bedroom floor plan. It all worked out so smoothly, even the closing of the loan (HA!) we knew it was divinely guided. Mom added a glassed-in porch a few years ago with windows that open to let in the fresh air. Nanny has a place to sit outside just like she used to in the old house.

Everyone is happy with the arrangement and my grandmother doesn’t have to live alone any more. She is 90 now and truly enjoying her life.

I visited my family over the Easter weekend. I know my grandmother is nearing the end of her life, but there are few lessons she has taught me.

  • Do what you want and don’t let others influence you to change your mind.
  • Stand for what you believe in, even when it goes against popular opinion.
  • Live each day to the fullest; give it all you’ve got and you can rest when it is over.
  • Keep on going even when you feel you can’t. Life is a journey and each step counts.
  • Love without expecting anything in return. Unconditional love is God working within us.
  • Let others help you. Don’t be afraid to ask for assistance.
  • Be kind to the strangers your kids bring home. Let them eat at your table.
  • Let others do as they please and do not judge them for having values different than your own.

My grandmother has had more influence that I thought. She is a remarkable woman. If you’ve ever met her, you would agree that she is at least a saint; more likely she’s an angel in human flesh!
