Although there are many people who belong to this school of thought but the other school of thought also exists. There are many people who think that submitting your website to the search engines is of no use. According to them this step must not be taken. To increase the website traffic it is important that you are able to retain your place on the first page which comes in front of the user when he or she searches the internet from any search engine.

Both of the points of views are correct in some sense. It is good if you submit your website to the search engines. It will be picked up by them and your chances of getting more traffic will increase. This goes in the favor of search engine submission. On the other hand, there are many people who think that if the search engine and the contents of your website are good, it will find you.
