eBay - Are You Wasting Your Most Valuable Asset?

Many eBay sellers totally disregard one of their most valuable assets. This is their customers details. When you have made a sale and dispatched the goods what do you do then? If your answer is that you move on to your next listing then you really are missing a golden opportunity to double or even treble your profits.

Elsewhere both on and offline businesses will pay incredible sums just to capture the details of potential customers. Yet here you are literally throwing them away. For instance if your customer buys a book about aeroplanes from you there is a fair chance that they might be interested in any similar products you offer in the future.

According to eBay rules you cannot send unsolicited mail to your customers but a legitimate method you can use works as follows. When you send the item to your customer send them an e-mail telling them that you have dispatched the goods. In the same e-mail you could ask them if they would be interested in receiving your newsletter or current sales list. Alternatively you could offer some type of gift related to the product they have just purchased. If they respond you can consider them to have opted into your list and send them further mailings as you wish.

I also include a flyer advertising another product in with the item I am dispatching. This can be very effective if you are offering a special “new customer” discount on this product. It is initially all about building up a rapport with your mailing list. It is also important that you make regular contact. I usually send out a short newsletter about once a month and possibly send an e-mail in between if I have something really special to offer.

If you have a good niche market you will also be able to add people to your list who have not actually made a purchase from you yet. You can do this by giving details of your newsletter in your about me page. The best way of doing this is to set up a single page web site with a sign up form for visitors to register for the newsletter.

None of these measures will cost you very much money but if you do this diligently you could find that you are selling more off of eBay than on. This will save you a bundle on listing and final valuation fees. In the meantime your eBay listings will continue to bring you names to add to your customer list.

Personal Loans - Secured Loans For Maximum Benefits

Personal loans are the only loans that touch most lives, as they provide credit assistance for a wide range of the personal needs - for varied business requirements; to recover from a bad credit situation; for education and career development objectives; to renovate the home; for medical and beauty treatments; to consolidate multiple debts; for new or used car purchase; to cover vacation and holiday season expenses; and for endless wedding expenses.

Industry report reveals that preference for secured loans is on a rise in the UK financial market - even for small monetary requirements - as they are much cheaper than other credit options like unsecured loans and payment cards (credit cards, store cards, charge cards and overdrafts). Borrowers are gradually realising that unsecured debts prove to be more costly because they have high interest rates, and that secured debts are the most cost-effective way to thrash financial problems.

Secured personal loans, as the name suggests, can only be availed by those loan seekers who are willing to pledge an asset (like home) as collateral against the loan amount. Collateral protects the lender’s investment, and thus makes it easy for him to part with his money and facilitate the loan seeker with favourable loan terms and conditions like:

  • Quick attention - as secured deals are safe for the lenders

  • High credit limit - typical range is £5,000 and £250,000
  • Competitive low APR - typical range is 6.7% to 19.9%
  • Variety of rate plans - fixed, variable, discounted, capped and flexible
  • Different repayment methods - capital, interest only, and partly interest and partly capital
  • Negotiable loan terms and conditions - deferred payment up to 6 months, repayment holiday and accelerated repayment
  • Please note: Irrespective of the reasons, repeated defaults or non-payment can lead to repossession of the pledged collateral to recover the loaned amount. But, the borrower can easily take care of the risks by paying his EMI’s (Equal Monthly Instalments = Principle + Interest) as decided, and by choosing a suitable repayment plan on the basis of his payback capacity and future plans.

Ideal for big monetary requirements, secured type of personal loans are the best option for adverse credit holders and probably the only alternative for people who have been denied unsecured credit.

    Small Sailboats are Fun

Small sailboats are from about 10 to 18 feet in length (3 to 6 metres). Small sailboats are often called sailing dinghies, because almost all have open cockpits without any cabins. They are usually made from either marine plywood or fiberglass - the big manufacturers use fiberglass, but wood is used for some boats, particularly if they are sold in kits.

Small sailboats are ideal for learning to sail -much better than a bigger boat because things happen quicker, and you learn to respond to changes in the wind and sea. I recommend that anyone interested in sailing starts with a small sailboat.

Among wooden small sailboats are the Mirror, Streaker and GP14 all designed by Jack Holt, while the Topper, Lasers and Yamaha small sailboats are all fiberglass. There is a whole range of small Laser sailboats. Waverleys were made from plywood in the early days, but are now all fiberglass. Most 420s and 470s are fiberglass.

    Centerboard or dagger board

Because small sailboats are usually launched from the beach, you need a retractable keel, so and all have centerboards or dagger boards - these are types of lifting keels. You need the keel to counteract the force of the wind which is trying to push the boar over. In a small boat, you have to lean out to counterbalance the force of the wind when sailing to windward. Sailing to windward is when are at an angle of about 45 degrees to 75 degrees from the wind.

The dagger board is a keel that is just raised or lowered by hand, being pushed down or pulled up vertically in its housing in the small sailboat. It is very simple, and is usually held in position by a pin - fully up when running before the wind, maybe halfway down when the wind is on the aft quarter, and with it fully down when beating to windward.

A centerboard is a type of lifting keel used on most small sailboats. It pivots in a housing, and has an lever projecting from the top end. When the centerboard is raised, the lever is right forward and you pull it back to lower it - with this arrangement, you can have as much of the centerboard lowered as you like, moving the lever to any point from fully up to fully down.

The reason that the position of the centerboard or dagger board is important is that these small sailboats are used mostly for racing, and you want the maximum performance you can get. If you are just going out for a sail in a small sailboat, leave the centerboard fully down except when you come back to the beach, or of course if you run aground.

Small sailboats are a lo to fun to sail, cost little, are robust, and as they are kept out of the water require very little maintenance. The Lasers, Streakers and Europa are among those that have ‘cat’ rigs - just one sail, like a mainsail on a normal Bermudian rig. They can still sail very fast, and can be sailed easily single-handed. They are used for single-handed racing.

Most other small sailboats have a Bermudian rig, usually with a small jib and fairly large mainsail. The exception is the Mirror Dinghy which has a gunter rig - the mainsail is hoisted up the mast and a spar that goes almost vertically from the top of the mast. The shape of the sails is almost the same as the Bermudian, but this rig was chosen because the mast is shorter making the boat easier to store at home and transport to the water.

Small sailboats come is all sizes, shapes and weights. Some are built with a gaff rig, some with the gunter rig, some with cat rigs, and most with Bermudian rigs - there are even some with two masts, each with a cat rig.

The great thing about small sailboat is that you can take it from the boat store or from your home to the shore easily and launch it single handed. This hardly takes any time - and then you are sailing. Mostly, small sailboats are used for racing, or for short cruises of a couple of hours, but some people have cruised across oceans in modified small sailboats like the Waverley and Drascombe.

So if you want to get a sailboat and have limited funds - or no experience - I recommend you buy a small sailboat.

John Hartley has been sailing for over 20 years, and has owned three sailboats - one small one and two cruising yachts. He gives helpful information about sailboats and yachts at SailboatsYatch He is the joint author of “The Leisurely Route to the Med”, and has written over a dozen other books.

Unsecured Personal Loans - For Quick Cash Release

Every borrower knows that unsecured loans are not at all cost-effective when it comes to the rate of interest charged. Then, what is it that makes this loan product attract the maximum number of borrowers in the UK loan market. The demand for unsecured personal loans is so much that secured loan market, which monopolised the loan market for so long, is getting seriously threatened in the process.

Unsecured personal loans are usually covered by the terms of consumer credit act. The amount of loan granted as unsecured loan is usually lesser as compared to the secured loans and so is the loan tenure. Following are the points where unsecured loans score over secured loans.

  • Quick cash release- unsecured loans get processed faster than the secured loans. Hassle-free documentation and elimination of the legal formalities are the reasons. In case of secured loans, it takes months for the loan amount to actually get transferred into the account of the borrower. To avoid all these difficulties, most borrowers prefer unsecured personal loans to materialise their financial needs quickly.

  • No security needed- Unsecured loans are the viable borrowing options for non-homeowners like tenants and students. Since no asset is required as collateral to be produced to the lender in lieu of the loan amount, unsecured loans are low risk alternatives and hence tempt customers.

  • Best for short term financial needs- It’s not worth pledging your home for a small financial need. So, secured loans don’t work when you require less amount and want to pay it off quickly. Unsecured loans help you fulfil your immediate monetary needs.

While availing an unsecured loans, having a good credit history always helps. It becomes difficult to procure an unsecured loan if you have a bad credit record. But, with increasing competition among the lenders, getting an unsecured bad credit loan is no longer an unachievable dream.

  • How Do You Get And Keep Customer Satisfaction And Loyalty?

Customer satisfaction and loyalty are the cornerstones of a successful internet marketing business. It forms a major part of the life blood that keeps the business solvent through difficult times and slow periods. Cashflow is maintained at a steady rate as the business, small or big, evolves and grows.

In the world of internet marketing many marketers burn their bridges at an astonishingly regular rate because they believe that the world is a large place and the old fashioned values that companies used to be built on are quickly forgotten. How do they burn these bridges and how can they get them back?

It takes one breech of trust to loose a customer. Remember this and you will be rich beyond your wildest dreams. If you promise that they will be financial well off after purchasing your products and service then they better be well off, at least. Not more confused and $19 short. Such blatant robbery brings more problems to the young entrepreneur’s small internet business than the initial sales spike will ever compensate for. Even the affiliates will head for the hills when his/her name is mentioned, because they would fall into the same label if they endorsed your product.

How do you get it back? You reinvent yourself and your offering and prepare to beg for an audience with anyone. Not the newcomers but those that are in the market for a while. Admit you were wrong and offer a free VALUABLE and cohesive product and/or service. Then leave them alone.

Don’t hound them, go on to others and finish your quest for repair the loyalty you lost. When you finished you can go to market with the newcomers. Why do it this way? Because EVERY human being has a significant need to feel important. It hardwired into their psyche and its predictable in its pattern. You ask for forgiveness, sincerely, and you accept that you wronged them and they would stop calling you bad names in their websites that have Alexa rankings of 5000.

Online FOREX Brokers - View from a Broker on Trading Personalities and Success

In my last article I reflected on the thousands of traders who I have traded and what were the major errors that caused well over 95% to lose.

Here we will look at trading personalities and how your underlying nature affects your potential to make profits.

Let’s look at some different types of traders that lose.

    1. The Action Man

This is a huge group these traders want to trade all the time and love the excitement of trading and fall into two main groups:

    Day traders

They are convinced the logic will work, but of course it does not.

All short term volatility is random, so they get stopped out a huge amount of times and when they do win profits are small.

    The result?

A total wipe out of equity - After trading many thousands of clients I never ever saw a day trader win.

The other traders who trade too much are ones who tend to “revenge trade” they have lost money and try hard to get it back by trading more and wipe themselves out.

Another group tend to be news junkies.

They believe they can trade every scrap of news and make money and again the result is:

    A total wipe out.

    2. The universe is governed by law

These traders believe that they will never lose as they have found a system that can predict the future.

I traded a lot of the followers of Elliot and they all lost.

    3. The educated fool

The above title have taken from Jake Bernstein (a great writer on investor psychology, check out some of his books if you can) these traders believe they are smart (many of them are) and that the more complicated their trading systems the more chance they have of winning.

They build hugely clever systems that are complicated, look great in theory and then they see their system lose.

What they don’t of course realise is there is no correlation between how complicated a system is and how much money it makes.

    4. The chase your tail personality

This group can’t stick with one system. As soon as it has some losses they switch to another one.

That loses then their onto the next one and so on.

Many of this group have perfectly good systems but get impatient with losses and think another system is the answer.

    5. Lets get rich quick

These trader buy e-books for 100 or so and think someone else can give them success, or believe making 100% quickly is easy!

They over leverage and are quickly wiped out.

    So who won?

In my experience not many traders did, but the ones who made money long term had these traits:

They had simple systems they believed in.

They were humble and knew the market would hand them losses and make them look stupid.

They were patient and executed their systems with discipline.

They had a mindset that they would win longer term, no matter what losses they were handed in the sort term and were prepared to persevere.

Keep in mind not many traders win and if you want to then you need:

A simple system you have confidence in can trade with discipline and take short term losses cheerfully.

If you can do the above you have a chance of joining the winning minority - Good luck!

Using PLR Material For Your Blogs

Blogs offer one of the quickest and easiest ways for anyone to have an Internet presence. Many people have discovered that compared to building a web site a blog is so much easier and quicker to create. It can also be very profitable if you can come up with interesting and informative subject that others want to read about. You can use a blog to advertise your web site or make money directly with affiliate programs or Adsense.

Blogs are particularly popular with the search engines and provided you regularly update your blog you could rank well for any keywords that you target.
Blogs are also a good way to attract visitors to your main site and raise your own profile within your niche. If your goal is to draw visitors to your website, creating a blog is a great way to get visitors interested in your site and the products or services you have to offer.

Although blogs are extremely easy and inexpensive to set up they do require time and effort to run. A successful blog needs fresh content to be added ideally on a daily basis and at the very least once a week. If you only post say once a month you will not gain the real benefits of having a blog. The reason search engines love blogs so much is because fresh content is regularly being added.

One good way to ensure that you have enough content to keep your blogs updated regularly is to have a supply of relevant Private Label Rights (PLR) material that you can use. The big advantage of PLR is that whether you buy articles or e-books you can use it in any way you like and make any changes and use it as you want.

You can find as much PLR material as you would ever need simply by searching for “private label rights” on Google or one of the other search engine. For blogging
I tend to break up the material into blog sized chunks, between 300-400 words and I will use these to post on days that I do not have the time to write fresh content myself.
This way I can run a series of niche targeted blogs that can be updated on a regular basis .

I do not usually tend to copy the items word for word as some search engines can penalise you for having exactly the same content as another web site. It is very simple and quick just to rewrite the first and last sentence just to make each entry original.

Private Label Rights material is freely available on the Internet these days and is a very inexpensive way to get content for your blogs. And of course you can also use it on your web sites or to create an e-book in double quick time.

Are All Those Li-Po Batteries’ Acronyms Confusing You?

Lithium Polymer, also known as Li-Po represents a benchmark in battery technology that makes them lighter, smaller, but at the same time more powerful. Their power to weight ratio increased significantly from their predecessors. This battery technology took leading roles in propelling electric RC helicopters to its current fame. Nevertheless, you will run into Li-Po batteries in every aspects of RC.

As with all performance materials, proper handling of Li-Po batteries is required in order to make sure that they last as long as possible and remain powerful. Because of this, it is vital to understand the acronyms that are associated with it. Though they seem confusing, once you get a grip on understanding them, Li-Po batteries are not complicated at all. This article aims to provide you with meanings of those little letters and descriptions that come on the battery packages.

    Number of Cells (S):
This represents the number of individual battery packs. Often times, the number of cells are replaced with the letter (S). For example, a battery pack labeled with 4S means that the battery pack contains 4 cells. Generally, the more the number of cells, the more powerful and the longer lasting the battery pack will be. Also, knowing the number of cells is extremely vital when charging the battery as the correct number of cell must be correctly selected on all types of chargers.

    Battery Voltage (V):
This is the total electrical potential of the battery pack. There are two ways to figure out the voltage of a battery pack. The first method is to take the number of cells in the pack and multiply it by the voltage of each cell. The second and more convenient method is to look at the packaging which will specify the total voltage right off the bat.

    mAh:
This stands for Milliamp Hours, which is essentially a unit used in measuring electrical power over time. Perhaps the best way to understand mAh is to simply think that the higher the mAh, the longer the battery can power a device. Also, devices that require more power will require batteries with more mAh ratings. For example, a battery pack rated at 2200 mAh can power a device that draws 100 milliamps (mA) for 22 hours.

    Capacity Rate (C):
The C-Rate is the measurement of the charge and discharge current of a battery. The best way to understand this rating is to take in account that most batteries are rated at 1C. At this rate, a 1000 mAh battery would provide 1000 mA of power for one hour. However, if the very same battery is rated at .5C, then the battery would provide 500 mA of power for two hours. On the flipside, if the same battery is rated at 2C, it would prvide 2000 mA of power for 30 minutes.

The information above is basically all you need to properly understand the label on a Li-Po battery. Now, when you see something like - 3 S, 11.1 volt, 2200 mAh, 12 C - you’ll know exactly what they mean.

Advice On How To Sell Time Share Property

There comes a time in life when you need to reorganize your investments, refinance your debts or sell off some properties. At such times, you not only need adequate resources and tools, but also a careful attention to the matter. Selling timeshare properties is no different. For a quick and easy closing of timeshare properties, you may need professional help too. Here are some helpful pointers on how to sell time share property.

First and foremost, you need to become fully aware of what you are getting in return when you sell you your time share property. Make sure to understand the terms of sale and guarantees by asking until you do understand them. If your agent is good enough he will do the job but if you are not satisfied, find another one. Diverse professional advice can give you a better understanding.

Pretend to be a buyer and compare prices of time share similar to the one you are selling. Selling time share property with a competitive price is very essential for a quick closing. Make sure that you are not quoting your price too low or too high. Find out the usual price given by developers and compare it with your desired selling price. You may need to compromise a little bit but definitely you will not incur any major loss and you can sell your time share property easily.

Watch for hidden fees when you appoint agents to sell time share property. Do not pay unconditional fees. These fees are derived by agents and form a large percentage of their income from up-front fees.

Pricing the time share property appropriately is the key to a successful deal between an investor and a seller. Investors will always be looking for the right deal that is often priced lower than seller’s desired price. If the time share is already older than the other time shares in the market or is less popular during the selling period, it can affect the pricing badly.

It’s always a good idea to take advantage of external factors while selling your property. Check out any nearby social activities and take them into consideration. Local tourist business means more money in the pricing scale which in turn is beneficial to you. Also consider if your unit has or is near to a good view. It can either be a swimming pool, besides the seashore or fronting a beautiful mountainside. Any one of that will push the price of your time share higher.

What you should know when it comes to how to sell time share property, is the best option is to post your listing so that potential buyers can find the benefits of your time share offer. However you advertise your offer (online, print media, via direct mail, among others), be reasonable with your asking price. Units when overpriced move rather slowly in the market which is based on location and price.

    Getting professional help

If you wish to sell time share property through the help of a professional or a time share company but without the hassle, find the one that can give you the benefits without much cost. There are time share selling companies that do not charge any commission and handle all the negotiations themselves with a broker. But you need to make sure that they get complete and accurate descriptions, locations and information regarding your unit in allowing agents to sell your time share property.

When you look for a professional seller company, find the one that advertises your offer to potential consumers in print like magazines and newspapers, and also on the Internet. It’s definitely a plus to have a worldwide exposure since the time share industry has been a worldwide success.

The farthest reaching campaign will be the best venue for you to sell your time share property to qualified buyers in different countries. Professional internet marketing consultants are provided by time share companies to make your website advertising work for you.

You can find professional help that will also aid you through the selling process. There also are excellent resources for you to help you in the title work and helpful time share sale financing.

Just like in any other business, there are scams in time share property transactions also. You may be duped by these scammers when they offer claims, guarantees and timelines that are unrealistic yet deceiving. Do not agree to anything over the phone or online until you have had the chance to check out the reseller’s reputation and experience. If you can obtain references and verify with them, they can provide solid foundations to choosing the right reselling company for you.

At the final stage of knowing how to sell time share property, make sure the professional aid you get does not require any additional costs during the closing.

Last but the least, check and verify all the laws concerning sell of properties in your area and abide by them. Always sell time share property with legitimate means because the law will be on your side should any unpleasant things happen.

All of the above tips and guidelines should help you sell your time share property to your greatest advantage and make the selling process easy, legitimate and cost effective.

Windmill Palm Trees, Tropical Accent Plants, Cold Hardy for Northern United States and Canada

The Cold Hardy Windmill Fan Palm tree originated on the island of Chusan off the east coast of China, and the Windmill palm tree is often called the Chinese or Chusan Fan Palm. Robert Fortune smuggled Windmill palm plants from China into the Kew Horticultural Gardens and into the Royal garden of Prince Albert of England in 1849 after the Opium Wars of China ended. The Windmill Palm tree was named in Latin, Trachycarpus fortunei, after Robert Fortune, and after 158 years, in the year 2007, these Windmill Fan Palm trees are still growing gracefully as a distinguished, exotic, rare tree at Kew Gardens, a palm of noble bearing.

From Kew Gardens in England, the Windmill Palm tree was spread throughout Europe, from the Mediterranean hot climates of Italy and Greece to a cold hardy testing ground in the landscape gardens of Switzerland and Bulgaria, where the Windmill Palm trees have remarkably survived, leaves even remaining green when covered with ice or snow. During the past seven years, truckloads of Windmill Fan Palm trees have been transported and planted in Canada and have survived the extreme cold winters in New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, New Jersey, and Michigan.

Although most Windmill Palm nursery growers are conservative in recommending the Windmill Palm tree planting to be restricted to growing in zones 8-10; other Windmill Palm Nursery growers recommend and guarantee this rare palm tree to grow in zones 3-10. There has been a rush by Northern nursery retailers to plant Windmill Palm trees for the home gardener, who wants that tropical look and accent around his pool or patio. The Windmill Palm tree is planted at plant nurseries from seed, where they grow about one foot each year. The slow growth of the Windmill Palm is partially responsible for its cold hardiness. Another characteristic that is inherently cold hardy is that the fibers that cover the trunk insulate the growing center of the tree. The brown-gray color of the burlap-like fibers cover the trunk like a wool covering in winter, and the dark color attracts the warmth of the sunlight. A coarse green wax covers the leaves and stems to make the Windmill Palm tree even more cold hardy.

The Windmill Palm tree is most often grown as a solitary, single trunk plant, however, some Windmill Palm nursery growers offer double or triple trees growing in the same container as large as 100 gallons. These huge 10 foot tall Windmill Palm trees are choice, tropical looking specimens for malls and at entrances to governmental buildings. The Windmill Palm tree can be easily shipped by UPS on short orders, and large Windmill Palm trees can be shipped by semi-truck, motor freight lines. Shipping Windmill Palm trees can be easily done any season, and the survival rate is excellent for large specimens. Very large specimens of Windmill Palm trees have been recently installed at the entrance of the new Cloister Resort Hotel-a 5-star hotel-located at Sea Island, Georgia, where the Windmill Palm tree is not only tropical in appearance and cold hardy, but completely resistant to the Atlantic Ocean salt water air problems. The Cloister hotel has grown smaller Windmill Palm trees at various out buildings for past years successfully. The expense of installing large Windmill Palm trees can be offset by planting small specimens that can be expected to grow about one foot each year. Because of the recent success of planting large specimen trees of the tropical looking Windmill Palm tree in Canada and Northern U.S. States, many gardeners are now experimenting with planting small Windmill Palm trees in the North, before the plant has developed a sufficient dense fiber covering to make the tree cold hardy enough to survive the deep freezes in the Northern States.

Typically the Windmill Palm tree has a history of surviving over 150 years of age in the Western World at a height of 40 feet, but accurate reports of Windmill Palm trees, native to the Island of Chusan in Eastern China, do not exist in translated texts, but conceivably could reach 100 feet in height. The rapid growth of Western influence on the development of China will undoubtedly reveal many more interesting botanical, developmental facts concerning the Windmill Palm tree in the near future.

The Windmill Palm tree appears to have all the perfection of tropical landscape gardening requirements for growing throughout the United States and cold hardy areas of Canada and Europe. Most types of soils are acceptable for growing Windmill Palms. Very few insect and disease problems exist to endanger growing Windmill Fan Palm trees. Even through slow growing, the Windmill Palm captivates the tropically minded gardener for pool and courtyard plantings. The Windmill Palm tree grows as separate male and female plants, and the date that is produced is inedible, resulting from the yellow, pleasantly, perfumed flowers that grow into blue seed, round and one-half inch in diameter.

Other cold hardy palm trees that are especially adapted for growing in the United States are the Needle (Raptor) Palm, Rhapidophyllum histrix; the Dwarf Palmetto Palm tree, Sabal minor; and the Saw Fan Palmetto palm tree, Serenoa repens.
