Making Secret Homemade Catfish and Carp Baits

It’s exciting and fun to make your own bait. So why not and go fishing and catch fish on your very own bait! It adds a special great feeling of satisfaction to your catches! If you’ve never made your own bait before, it can be like a door of new possibilities and potential being opened wide for you. You’ll discover there’s no going back!

A dough, paste or boilie bait will catch many different species of fish and very big ones at that. They are very easy to make too, although more advanced baits designed to seriously select the biggest fish are very often able to catch you far more fish overall than just a ‘basic’ bait.

A bewildering variety of different ingredients, additives and flavours can make your baits more attractive to individual species more than others. Let’s look at the basics of making a bait that will catch you catfish or carp but many other species too!

Most dough, paste and boilie baits are made with eggs as a major binder substance to bind together usually dry flours, meals and powders to form the bait dough. ‘Boilies’ are simply dough baits boiled in water for a short period of time enough to make a protective surface on the bait to make it last longer and be thrown out at range to ‘free bait’ swims at range.

They do not necessarily deter small fish, but normally ensure you have your hook bait intact when you reel in your rig after it being in the water for a number of hours.

The main question I get is about how to make a bait bind and roll well. This is because your bait needs to last long enough in the water to survive attentions of ‘pest smaller fish’ while waiting for bigger ones to eat your bait.

‘Rolling’ is about the making of usually round shapes for dough baits to be boiled, but boiling is not always a necessary procedure by any means. In fact I recommend not boiling baits to wherever possible as this actually locks in perhaps 70% or more of the initial bait attraction which by definition really needs to be water soluble for fish to readily detect and respond quickly to.

It is funny to notice that having boiled baits and even destroyed much of the initial attraction nutrition and soluble effect of the bait, that many anglers now have to soak them in extra soluble liquids, additives and flavours etc, just to make them do what they would do far better when not boiled!

Making a basic bait:

To begin with the first principle to make a dough is always add dry ingredients (as a combined single powder, gradually mixing them into the combined mixed wet ingredients including eggs.

Always write down the amounts of ingredients in your first batch mixed to make things very easy and quicker to repeat successfully.

For example, crack 4 large hen eggs into a bowl. Whisk them up with your chosen flavour and sweetener, perhaps 5 milliliters of strawberry flavour, with a tablespoon full of honey. By adding the dry powder, a large spoon full at a time to the liquid mixture gradually, you can see exactly how much dry powder mixes with your liquid so you can make this stage very quick subsequently.

The level of dry powder mix to liquid mix can change between different ingredients used in different mixes because their absorbency or solubility will be different, so it may take more or less liquid to mix into a bread like dough for bait making.

So you see how keeping note of exactly what you use really helps, especially when your bait really catches lots of fish and you want to make another batch! (This even goes as far as which shop or supplier all your ingredients come from; it pays to be consistent with these details.)

The easiest way to make a dough bait or boilie mix is to purchase a proprietary one in pound or kilogram weight from a commercial fishing bait supplier. You know that the bait will bind together, roll into baits for boilie making and hopefully catch you some fish.

The big drawback of using proprietary baits is often you don not know precisely what ingredients are in the bait in what amounts and ratios. This might seem unimportant, but if you are targeting big fish, this is crucial. The best rule of thumb for good baits of any description perhaps, is to pack them with high levels of liquid protein amino acid supplements.

These can be purchased from chemists or drug stores and are used for body building in drinks. Fish have essential requirements for certain amino acids and many of their most essential are supplied in abundance in these supplements. There are many proprietary forms starting with ‘Minamino’ and bait suppliers have various different versions at many concentrations often with added oils, flavours etc.

This supplement is most effective when soaked into your bait after boiling. In the case of dough, I would add as much as possible, for example making your dough with a 50 - 50 percent mixture of eggs and ‘Minamino.’

Some of the simplest dough mixes are of ordinary white flour with an equal amount of ground up sausage meat, or trout pellets, or ground up dry dog biscuits or canned cat food or fish for example. These combinations can be used individually or added together to make them more complex baits.

To each of these combinations just add eggs and your sweetener at perhaps 5 milliliters per 4 large eggs and perhaps your flavour and away you go. If your bait is too wet, just add more dry flour. Added semolina, maize meal or ground rice is commonly used as an added binder material. If your mix is too dry, just add more eggs with sweetener and flavour if desired.

One thing about pet foods is they are very cost effective, are designed to make animals very much want to eat them and are often very highly nutritious and complex balances of essential nutrients and food groups of essential dietary ingredients, often with added enzyme or bacteria to make them more attractive and digestible. Ground up bird foods make excellent baits on their own with added eggs and sweetener. Often the cost of a flavour is not necessary at all for good results.

The key with baits very often is the ability to ground bait your swim regularly sometimes even with very large quantities of bait, either in advance or while fishing. This helps your fish recognise your bait as food and really gets the smells and attraction into the water to pull in the fish. This has a massive impact upon your results, especially for catching the bigger fish.

If the bigger fish are your thing, them far more involved bait components and more complex design considerations can really guarantee results more than basic baits like these.

“5 Aging Myths + 12 Age-Defying Secrets = Reversing the Downward Spiral” with Dr. Narinder Duggal

#1 Myth: We are living so much longer than we used to.

Hardly a day goes by when someone doesn’t remind us of how much longer we are living than we used to. Shockingly, according to Dan Georgakas, author of The Methuselah Factor, the life span of a human being hasn’t changed since recorded time.

With the event of good sanitation practices, septic systems, and, later, antibiotics, the collective average life span of a given population has increased. In the 1700s, the average person lived for 20 to 40 years in Europe. Today, we live, on the average, to our mid-seventies, longer for women. This increase did not occur because individuals are living longer, but because there are significantly fewer deaths caused by childbirth, infant deaths, and infectious diseases spread by the lack of sanitation.

Georgakas says that once someone reaches the age of 60, someone in today’s world lives no longer than the people did at the signing of the Declaration of Independence. No, we no longer die of infectious diseases as a rule. We die prematurely of often preventable, chronic diseases: heart disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes, and strokes.

#2 Myth: Americans Age Normally

In this country, we “ouuuuu” and “ahhhhh” when someone reaches 80 years old, even if that person can barely get himself up out of a chair or get around in a nursing home. The gerentologists, or old age specialists, tell us our national bar for aging is way too low.

Our bodies are supposed to last about one-hundred years. More importantly, we are designed to feel, look, and move well at that century mark. If you look around at the people in our modern world, seeing a fit and energetic hundred-year-old is almost as remote as spying a unicorn.

Because we typically decline early in the U.S., the logical perception is that Americns age normally. The fact is most Americans age at an accelerated rate and the shame of it is-we don’t even know it. Therefore, we do nothing for ourselves to consciously slow down the ticking clock.

The result: premature wrinkles, sagging and bagging, along with premature diseases, disabilities, and death.

#3 Myth: Longevity is Beyond Your Control

Most of us believe that genetics or “Lady Luck” determines how long we will live. Simple formula: good genes, lucky you, long life; bad genes, your fate is sealed, short life.

Not true, say the old age specialists as told by Dan Georgakas in The Methuselah Factor. With the exception of rare genetic conditions and being female, genetics may play a 5% to 10% role in longevity, but no more and perhaps far less. The number of your years is mostly determined by the choices you make every day-especially food, exercise, and lifestyle choices.

#4 Myth: Longevity Equals Pain, Disability, and Disease

How often do we hear: “I don’t want to live a long time.”? Agreed. Why would anyone want to grow old when, in this country, old age brings pain, suffering, and the loss of bodily functions, mobility, independence, and even dignity?

It doesn’t have to be like that. Look at the over ninety-year-old Jack LaLanne who has spent his entire life exercising, eating lots of fruits and vegetables, and not eating junk.

As Dan Georgakas tells us, the Abkasians, who lived in the Georgia Republic in the former USSR, boosted their large percentage of long-lived people reaching their over 100-year mark with well-working bodies and minds. Are their bodies made better than ours or do they own the secret to the “Fountain of Youth?”

Following their 12 youthful secrets would serve us all well:

–Lean body mass and the cultural disapproval of over eating and excess body fat

–Diet of mostly fresh fruits, vegetables, and plant foods with no coffee, sugar, and very little meat, butter, or salt

–No processed, refined foods, or fried foods

–Caloric intake of between 1500 and 2000 calories (Americans commonly intake 2500 to 4000 calories)

–Lifelong exercise, especially walking

–Lifelong work, steady but not stressful or to exhaustion

–Lifelong play: purely fun, pleasurable activities

–Plenty of rest and sleep

–No smoking

–Elders held in high esteem with purposeful positions in the family and community

–”Health is normal; sickness is abnormal” attitude - even in the elderly

–Lifelong connective relationships/friendships: sharing and caring for others and being cared for by others

By observing other cultures and a few unique individuals in our own country and applying these principles in our own lives, we could dramatically increase our chances of adding years to our lives and life to our years.

#5 Myth: “You Can’t Teach Old Dogs New Tricks”

Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Of course you can.

Let’s think about this for a moment. We are not talking about learning complicated mathematical equations or even the latest computer technology. We are talking about putting on a pair of sneakers and walking-every day. How hard is that? How hard is it to wash an apple, open mouth, and chew? Or cut up vegetables and throw them in a large salad for lunch and dinner?

As Henry Ford says, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.”

Learning new tricks, aging-friendly eating, exercise, and lifestyle habits, is simple. The tricky part is practicing the new tricks. Shifting daily choices and creating new habits may be a challenge, but certainly easier than facing early debilitation of mind and body. Just take a stroll around a nursing home if you want to know what challenging is.

Do you picture yourself old and decrepit, or aging with comfort, mobility, grace, and purpose? As John Leonard says, “Aging is not simply decay; it is an accumulation of choices and consequences.”

What are your choices now and what will be your consequences later?

Martina Mcbride “Waking Up Laughing” Pop Music CD Review

Richly talented Pop artist Martina Mcbride has released her latest CD titled Waking Up Laughing and Wow! It’s good.

I wish it weren’t the case but, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Waking Up Laughing. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you’ve got one of Martina Mcbride’s most impressive releases ever.

Listen to this CD and I believe you’ll find there’s not much to dis-like about it. The songs are inspired, the production is simply outstanding, and Martina Mcbride’s voice is in top form. If you’re even mildly into Pop music you’ll enjoy this CD.

How to Earn Money With Home Based Business Income Opportunities

When I saw my friend Steven earn over $4,000 in his first month of selling products online, I knew I was watching a goldmine in action. After repeatedly bugging him about how he managed to make so much money using home based business income opportunities, he finally cracked and told me that his secret was very simple - he was an affiliate marketer! This article will tell you what he did and how you can use his method to build an online empire of your own.

What is affiliate marketing? As an affiliate, you get paid whenever you refer a buying customer to the manufacturer’s website. You can typically expect to earn anywhere between $10 and $30 for every sale you generate. As you can see, a handful of such websites generating a sale or two every day can easily make you $300 every 24 hours - or more! How’s that for home based business income opportunities?

Here’s how you get started as an affiliate - firstly, you go to Clickbank (a great online directory of affiliate programs) and find the right product to promote. Look for products that have a high Gravity indicator - the higher it is, the more popular the product.

Next, set up a site where you will promote your affiliate program. If you don’t want to spend any money upfront, make a free blog with Google Blogger. Try to make your site look as respectable as possible - after all, the more authoritative it is, the more inclined people will be to trust you when you promote an affiliate product to them.

The next step is to do keyword research for your site. The exact technicalities of professional keyword research are explained in Part II of the article, but, for now, let’s just say that if you optimize your site around specific keywords, you will dominate Google search results for your keyphrase. Accurate keyword research is the key to pursuing successful home based business income opportunities as an affiliate marketer.

Once you have done your keyword research, create some content for your site (normally a few articles) optimized around the keywords. Try to keep your content neutral and objective - do not simply write pages of purely promotional articles, but instead try to offer an unbiased review of the product you are promoting.

If you have done everything right, your site will show up as the first one in Google’s search results for the specific keyword. People will visit your site, read your content, click on your affiliate links and hopefully buy the product. The beauty of this method is that once you have set up your site and created the content, you won’t need to work on it ever again, so you can do something else while money keeps coming in. This is what is known as residual income - income that you earn without investing any continuous efforts.

How to Boost Internet Marketing and Sales

Earning money is the whole point of an online business and every webmaster with an ebusiness is looking for ways to boost their sales. Internet sales can be a tricky thing, but if you know what you are doing, you can ensure that your sales rates increase steadily instead of jumping up and down randomly. This article will provide some tips for improving your internet sales.

- Avoid traffic exchanges and traffic boosting services. They might raise your hits level, but these are not customers, they are simply other webmasters trying to earn hits for their own websites or surfers who are receiving a tiny percentage of what you pay in order to get them to visit. This is not targeted traffic, which is what you need in order to sell.

- Offer high quality products and services. If you ignore your customers’ complaints or offer inferior quality products, you will not get repeat sales and your word of mouth advertising will be non-existent. By responding quickly to comments or complaints that your clients have, and giving them great products, you will boost your reputation in your niche and quickly gain not only repeat sales but new ones from the friends and associates of previous customers.

- Start an affiliate program. There is nothing like a host of salespeople out there promoting your product to get things moving. While you should always do some promotion yourself, it really does help to have other people involved. And since you only pay for results, you will never be money out of pocket! PayDotCom and Clickbank offer easy to use services for setting up your own affiliate program.

- Write some articles. Article marketing is one of the most overlooked forms of boosting sales online. You are basically selling your product in the article, although it should be informative to everyone. For example, you write about how to choose the right web host, listing features to look for, etc. Then at the end of the article, you add a link to your web hosting service, which just happens to have all the features mentioned in the article! It is a pre-sale and can be extremely useful when used with discretion.

- Hold a contest. You can offer a grand prize to the winner. People get an entry into your draw or contest for every $10 they spend or every purchase they make, which encourages them to buy now instead of waiting and thinking about it.

- Build a reputation. If you have a good reputation as being an expert in your niche area, people will want to buy from you. They will trust you. You can build your reputation through ebooks, articles and offering high quality goods and information on your own website.

- Start an opt in list. By offering a weekly or monthly newsletter, you are reminding your customers that you are around. You can also use this to let people know that you have new products and bring them back to the site. This is an excellent way to keep in touch with previous customers and encourage repeat sales.

By following the tips above, you should see results fairly quickly. You might not boost your sales through the roof immediately, but you will see a steady improvement and that is what counts in the long run. It just takes patience and some hard work.

Tips for Planning Your Wedding Without All the Stress

Unfortunately, many women end up ruining the excitement and fun of their wedding by constantly stressing out over details. While planning a wedding is a great deal of work, there is no need for you to be so stressed out that you cannot enjoy your wedding day. You do not have to be a harried and stressed bride, but you can actually get through the wedding planning with a limited amount of stress. If you want to enjoy your wedding without all the stress, then consider and follow the following tips to help you get through your big day.

Tip #1 - Plan Your Wedding Carefully - Organization is one of the most important things that you can do, and if you are organized and plan your wedding carefully, you can eliminate a great deal of the stress before it even happens. It is important that you never wait until the last minute for anything, because this is a big cause of wedding day stress. As soon as you know you will be getting married, you need to start planning so you will be able to have everything in order when the big day arrives.

Tip #2 - Decide on a Strict Budget - Money difficulties can be the cause of a great deal of stress when you are planning a wedding, so it is best if you decide on your budget right away, and make sure that you stick to it. No couple wants to get married, only to have a mountain of debt to pay off from their wedding, so decide on a realistic budget, and then make sure that you keep that budget from day one to the end. One way that can help you do this is to create a spreadsheet with the amount of contributions from various sources, and then the expenses that you will have to pay. This will help to keep you on track as you are planning your wedding.

Tip #3 - Delegate Your Tasks - Wedding planning is a huge undertaking, and no bride can realistically do it all on her own. When you are planning your wedding, if you want to reduce your stress, start delegating out tasks. Make sure that you get your groom involved, and ask for help from your mother, mother-in-law to be, and even your bridesmaids. No doubt everyone will love to help you plan your special day, and it will help to take some of the pressure off of you as well.

Tip #4 - Look for Bargains - If you are worried about sticking to your budget, one thing that you can do to take away some of the financial stress is to start looking around for bargains. Many times just asking for a lower price can help, and you may be able to find some of your wedding needs online for great prices. Saving money will be a great way to get rid of some of the wedding planning stress you are dealing with.

Brainwave Meditation - The New Way of Meditating

Meditation has been practiced since ancient times, but today, in the busy and dynamic, even agitated modern world, meditation or taking time for ourselves is almost a must. And since more and more people are interested to benefit from the positive effects of relaxation and meditation, scientists and specialists have become more interested in studying all the aspects of meditation, how it works and how it can have maximum efficiency. And one of the most recent results of these researches is the brainwave meditation.

How Can You Benefit from the Brainwave Meditation?

The results of the brainwave meditation are the same as in the case of other forms of meditation, but some might say that they are even more intense and specific. There is a great selection of products on today’s market, products that you can use in order to test this new meditation technology and discover its results. The most popular products are “psychoacoustic” CD’s with a wide range of relaxation and meditation messages that are mainly based on the concept of visualization.

The brainwave sessions can vary in length, but users mention the fact that longer sessions lead to faster results and a better general relaxation - these sessions can last up to 45 minutes. There are very specialized CD’s or audio formats that are focused on various ranges, such as alpha, beta or delta or there are some which are destined to stimulate all these at the same time.

Basically the role of these brainwave meditation sessions is to travel with your thought and mind, to improve your perception to various stimulants, to develop your awareness, and to be able to conduct an accurate introspection.

Besides the musical CD’s with relaxing audio signals, there are various audio formats that are focused on breathing patterns that are meant to relax the listener, based on the same frequency principle. Basically, these breathing sessions that are assisted by an audio format have the purpose to relax the body, the muscles and to slow down the heartbeats, together with releasing the tension.

How Does the Brainwave Meditation Actually Work?

What is the scientific concept that this type of meditating is based on? It all starts from the binaural beats. But what are these binaural beats? Basically, the brainwave meditation or, also called, brainwave entertainment, presupposes the fact that the brain receives various audio stimulants or signals with a certain frequency and reacts, responds to these signals. The binaural beats have more roles besides the role they play in brainwave meditation - they are used in the treatment of certain mental disorders and other medical conditions.

Brainwave meditation is gaining more and more supporters. Until its appearance and until the appearance of the wide range of products that promote this type of meditation, there were many skeptics that doubted the positive effects of meditation upon one’s mind, psychological life, spirituality and general health. But nowadays, these effects can me maximized and measured, they can be scientifically proven - and this explains the fact that meditation is gaining more and more supporters.

Insurance Quotes - Auto Insurance for New Auto Owners

Insurance is required in almost all 50 states, prior to licensing your vehicles. Insurance quotes online often mislead you as to the actual cost of insurance, and yet, online insurance offers the best quotes. There are ways of getting correct quotes, on your vehicles, online.

1) Know your vehicle

This may seem unnecessary, but know how to spell your vehicle model and make. Misspellings on vehicle insurance quotes attribute to many errors.

2) What year was that?

You can find the year your vehicle was built inside the driver’s door just below the latch. Be sure you check. Most titles are correct, but some are not, and it does make a difference.

3) Check that VIN

A VIN Number is a Vehicle Identification Number located just under the edge of the windshield, visible from outside the driver’s side, just in front of the door hinge. Write it down, check it two or three times, and verify it with the title.

4) Location is important

If you live on the outskirts of a major city, but rarely drive downtown, say so. Know if your vehicle will be garaged or not. Verify your zip code in the area where your vehicle is most often parked.

5) Mileage driven each year

How many miles do you drive every year? Where do you drive those miles? Those questions may be on the application, but if they aren’t you’ll want the information when you speak with the insurance agent.

Keeping a log of vehicle maintenance, helps during tax season as well as, when you sell your vehicle. Information about vehicle maintenance is necessary in the event mechanical failure causes an accident. You can obtain a maintenance log inside the Real Auto Maintenance for Real People Manual at http://www.lulu.com/content/245780

Plug-In Profits

Where does your perfect target customer make their buying decisions?

How do they make their buying decisions?

These are important questions. If 90% of your target market makes their buying decision based on referrals, quit wasting your time running Adwords advertising…or any type of other paid advertising. If 70% of their decisions are based on media reviews, you know it’s time to work harder on PR.

How are they currently buying from you?

How are they buying from your competitors?
What is the most influential key to their buying decision?

One of my absolute favorite questions is, “How can I cost effectively get my offer in front of a group of hungry customers?”

I call this “plug-in profits.” For example, my books are listed on Amazon…because that’s one of the places people like to buy books. They already have traffic built in. They already have people searching for books. Ebay is another site like this. They already have traffic, and you can tap into their traffic very low cost.

Who else already sells to my customers? Do they have a list? What can I uniquely offer the list owner and the list members? Which one is easier…to build a site that generates a ton of traffic or JV with someone who already has the traffic? Of course, you should working on your site, but that takes time. You can generate profits right now, today, by finding a way to tap into traffic that already exists.

It may be a product JV where you give them 75% of the profits from the first sale. It could also be something much more simple. You might write them an exclusive expert article they feature in their newsletter or on their site.

Even general “article submissions” are based on this principle…tapping into lists and traffic that already exist.

Perhaps you give them your product to include as a bonus with their offer. I’ve been on both sides of this type of transaction…where I freely allow another marketer to include my ebook with their offer and where I’ve included someone else’s product in my offer.

You don’t get any profits upfront, but you’re putting your value in the hands of a perfect target customer (make sure they qualify before you set-up the deal).

You can generate plug-in profits off the Internet as well. Have someone send out a mailing to their clients to recommend your product or service. Speak for an upcoming event (where someone else puts people in a room to hear you). Do a teleconference for someone’s list. Negotiate for free or discount coupons to be given out at the sales desk where your target customers visit.

For example, a new gym promoted themselves by allowing a local nutrition store to give away a free one month membership to their buying customers. Who else could model this? The massage therapist, chiropractor, etc. could follow suit to the same audience.

Who right now has your target customers buying from them? How can you make them an irresistible offer? I’ve dealt in industries where it’s not legal to pay a referral fee. That doesn’t matter. There is always another way to get something done. Do a cross mailing…where they mail their customers about you and you mail yours about them. Include something free you normally sell that they can use as an incentive to sell more to their customers.

There are so many variations on this theme…

It all comes down to three simple questions.

1. Who is already reaching my perfect target customer?
2. How can I be of service and make a unique irresistible offer to the vendor?
3. What would be irresistible to their clients to “try out” what I offer?
