Does God Cry?

Crying is a fact of life. Tears are a way to purge away the emotions that build up within our souls. Tears can be used to manipulate others into doing things our own way. We have heard of “crocodile tears” and “crying wolf”. These are not the kinds of tears and crying that I’m addressing. I’m talking about real tears that come forth because of true concern and caring for another’s welfare. With these kinds of tears comes a heaviness of heart. I’m sure we can all recall crying for someone else’s well being and safety at one time or another. I know I sure have. I will share one my experiences right now.

I have a son who enlisted in the Army National Guard when he was in high school. As a child he always loved to play with guns and wanted to be an army man. He fulfilled his childhood dream by training to be an M.P. Then he was called to go to Ramadi, Iraq on a year tour. Ramadi, I later found out is where most of the suicide bombers are from and so for them, life is worthless. It’s their religious beliefs that killing themselves along with others is honorable. My son was in the brigade that drove around looking for explosive devices. He would email me and assure me that he would be fine. For one reason, he was in the first truck and if anyone were to aim at them, they would time their shot after the first truck drove by. Well, this is not exactly comforting for a mother to hear. I prayed for a hedge of protection around this young man and his company daily. I knew he wasn’t saved and could not be endangered, he wasn’t ready. Then one day I got news that the first truck that he was normally in, was hit. His Lt. officer took his place that day and lost his life in front of my son. He immediately left his position in the second truck and ran amidst enemy fire to go to the aid of his fallen comrad.

While I was terribley thankful for God’s protection, I remember just crying for the terrible loss and the close call I had in losing my youngest son. As I already mentioned, he had not accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and I couldn’t bear the thought of losing him without being saved in the blood of Christ. Is he saved now? I’m not totally sure, but if he’s not yet, I keep praying he will be. I had prayed that God would put him in a circumstance to show him how fragile life is and show him the importance of salvation. He hasn’t discussed it and I would never push it, but I can see God working it out in His time. I can only pray that his Lt. was saved.

Our salvation is the most important thing to our Lord. Why wouldn’t He cry over those who refuse to accept Him? Don’t you think He already knows their destination could be changed if only…they were willing? God has given us His truth of His goodness and mercy in allowing ALL who accept Christ to be His adopted children. We are heirs with Christ and will inherit all that God promised. We have eternal life once this one is over. The truth of the matter is that everyone will have eternal life somewhere. For anyone who chooses not to walk the straight and narrow path, they will spend eternity in a dark abode, we call hell. Jesus refered to this place as a gnashing and gnawing of teeth. It’s a painful place and once we have made a decision, our soul will either enter into heaven or hell. After that…ETERNITY! Our decisions today will result in our final outcome for the rest of all time. This is not something I would ever want to risk because of my own stubborness and unwilling behavior. I do believe I love myself enough to be guaranteed an eternal existence in heaven with Christ. My decision for Him brings a smile to His face, but there are a couple examples in God’s Word that we need to look at very carefully. God is dead serious about our choices. Is God smiling or crying for you today?

During His ministry, Jesus became very close friends with Mary, Martha and their brother Lazarus. They had listened to Him teaching about repentance and receiving eternal life with Him. They knew He was the Son of God. But then something happened on His way beyond the Jordan. News of Lazarus came to Jesus. Even though he was sick, Jesus waited two more days before He went back to Judea. He assured His disciples that Lazarus was asleep, not dead. But this was not the scenerio when He arrived. Both Martha and then Mary blamed Him for not being there in time. He asked them again if they believed that even though someone dies they would yet live. They answered Him by telling Him they believed He was the Christ, the Son of God, but still showed doubt. When Jesus came to the tomb He saw all the people weeping. This was a Jewish tradition for people to wail at a funeral. This showed Jesus their doubt in the power of the resurrection.

“When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her also weeping, He was greatly moved in spirit and was troubled, and said, ‘Where have you laid him?’ They said to Him, ‘Lord, come and see.’ Jesus wept.” John 11:33-35

Jesus wasn’t merely moved in sorrow. He was outraged in anger by the emotional grief that revealed to Him their disbelief in the resurrection. Grief is understandable but these people were in great despair. Jesus may also have felt the deep pain of the consequences that sin has. Either way, being “deeply moved” in the Greek language is far greater than Him feeling just sympathy for them. Jesus wept over a fallen world of sin. It was this great sorrow that earned Him the title of “a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief” (Is.53:3) He wasn’t grieved for Lazarus because He would raise him for God’s glory. Does Jesus weep for your unredeemed soul today or does He smile because He knows you have resrurrection life in Him?

Jesus told the people of Jerusalem how sorry He was that they didn’t recognize Him. He wanted so much to protect them but they refused to run to Him. I can’t help but see this happening in our world today. The United States has the freedom to honor God by recognizing Christ, but so many people are running from Him. One day God will not be around to hear peoples’ cries for help. That is why His Word tells us to seek Him while He may be found. God wills us to come but we will not on our own accord. We do not know what is best for us, but our God does!

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalm, you who continue to kill the prophets and stone those who are sent to you! How often I have desired to gather your children together (around Me), as a hen (gathers) her young under her wings, but you would not!” Luke 11:34 (Amplifed)

Now listen to the end results of their stubborn ways. Jesus foretold what the end would be like for anyone who refuses to accept Him. He is saying this to us still.

“Behold, your house is forsaken (abandoned, left to you destitute of God’s help!) And I tell you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you shall say, ‘Blessed (to be celebrated with praises) is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”
Luke 13:35 (Amplifed)

One day, all people…believers and unbelievers alike will bow and confess in the name of the Lord. God is going to show His Supremecy to everyone before He delivers His final judgment. That judgment depends on your decision. God, is a loving Father Who wishes that not one of His children perish…but His Word is final.

“He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18 (New American Standard version)

If you don’t want God to cry over you, just confess and repent of your sins to Him, ask Him to cleanse you and invite Jesus to live in your heart. Believe that Christ died and rose again to pay for your sins. If you have made Him Lord and Savior over your life then know He is not crying anymore! Give Him thanks and praise.

Opening A Dollar Store - Put Dollar Cost Averaging to Work

One of the biggest challenges for every retailer who is opening a dollar store is to continuously lower the cost of goods sold. One way to accomplish this important task is by using dollar cost averaging. In fact, dollar cost averaging can be a powerful management tool for those who are opening a dollar store.

Dollar cost averaging is simply the process of averaging the cost of goods sold across a specific interval. It might be a single order or the orders for a week, month or a year. In fact to be most effective, retailers who are opening a dollar store will likely use dollar cost averaging across many of the above intervals.

If you are opening a dollar store consider using dollar cost averaging for every order that you complete. If you have established cost of goods sold goals, you can then see what impact each order will have on achieving that goal. Next roll the orders together on a weekly basis and average across the week. Are you still on track to hit your goal? If so, the orders across the week were inline. If not, adjustments in upcoming orders should be made to pull your average back in line against the goal. Finally, weekly orders can be rolled together to insure that your average across the entire month was inline.

For most retailers who are opening a dollar store the cost of goods sold is the biggest single cost of doing business. It is important that tight controls be kept on the cost of goods sold. Efforts should be made to continually roll that number downward. In fact, just a 1¢ decrease in the cost of goods sold across an entire year can have a huge impact on the bottom line. Put dollar cost averaging to work for you.

Marion Meadows “Next To You” Smooth Jazz Music CD Review

Marion Meadows, the richly talented Smooth Jazz artist has released his latest album titled Next To You and Wow! It’s really a good one.

I wish it weren’t the case but, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Next To You. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

The nice thing about a CD like this is when the talent is this rich even if Smooth Jazz isn’t your favorite style you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.

Overall Next To You is excellent from beginning to end. One of those CDs that after a few listens the songs are just etched into your memory. A must have for the Smooth Jazz fan. Really sensational from beginning to end.

My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 10, It’s Alright Now. Good stuff!

List Building - Now is the Time to Build Your List

List building is such a lucrative and exciting field online today, but you really have to get out there and make it happen. Once you decide to build a list online, and buy a manual on how to do it, you have to get started - you have to simply make it happen.

One of the most dangerous things that happen online is that people buy a few books on how to do things, and they decide they are going to create something online - a web site, a book, a list, whatever.

A few weeks pass. They have forgotten a lot of what they learned in the last book they read, and they aren’t sure what the next step is. So they buy another book. They read it, everything seems clear, but once again they take no action.

The internet is ruled by people who take action. Not the best people, not the most qualified people, unless you use ‘taking action’ as the main qualifier - but it is ruled by people who take action.

So the biggest question for you as you are reading this article, thinking about building a list - are you going to build a list? Are you going to take action? Or are you going to read this, think ‘wow, what wonderful concepts, this stuff might really work’, and then do nothing?

If you have already started building a list, congratulations! You are far ahead of most people online, and you actually have a chance at making money online. Now, what are you going to do with that chance? Are you going to run with it, and actually make money, or are you going let your web site and your squeeze pages just sit there and go stale - the equivalent to opening an offline business and then never opening the doors or never advertising.

List building is an awesome way to build relationships and make money online - but you have to build the list first!

Pain - Do You Really Know The Causes Of Severe Headache Pain?

For those of us who suffer from severe headache pain, we know that there is no such thing as a “little headache.” But, one good thing to know about severe headache pain is that 95% of headaches are not life-threatening, although I think I am going to die from the pain from time to time.

However, with that said, severe headache pain is nothing to ignore. There are many different causes of severe headache pain, and they are classified into two categories-primary headaches and secondary headaches. You need to know the difference to know what to do.

Primary Headaches

These are the primary headaches that make up the more common types of headaches, and they are not associated with disease.

- Tension Headache. The common tension headache is the most common severe headache pain adults suffer from. Life can be stressful and fast-paced. It’s no surprise that 90% of adults complain about these types of headaches.

- Migraine Headache. As the second most common cause of severe headache pain, an estimated 28 million Americans suffer from throbbing migraines. Typically located on only one side of the temple, forehead, eye, or back of the head, migraines are usually accompanied by vomiting, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound.

- Cluster Headache. Cluster headaches are headaches that come in groups. People who suffer from these excruciating headaches liken the pain to having a sharp, burning object shoved into their eye! Sorry for the unpleasant comparison, but we want to stress the fact that cluster headaches hurt. I mean really hurt. Only 0.1% of the population is affected by cluster headaches, making these severe headache pains very rare … and thankfully so.

In order to receive the best treatment for your severe headache pain, it is important to know what kind of headache is causing your discomfort even if you have to guess at it.

For the common tension headache, an over-the-counter painkiller, like an acetaminophen (Tylenol) or a Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (Advil, Aspirin) will work nicely.

For migraine headaches, painkillers are discouraged. Many doctors recommend caffeine to alleviate this kind of severe headache pain. Try coffee, coke, or tea to begin with to see which one is more effective. Some soft drinks for example have much higher caffeine level content than others so read the labels and test them out one at a time.

As for cluster headaches, your doctor may prescribe special medication, such as a calcium channel blocker.

Secondary Headaches

Secondary headaches are caused by disease. There are many different diseases that can cause this kind of severe headache pain. Some examples include:

- Brain tumors

- Meningitis

- Lyme disease

- Sinusitis

- Parkinson’s disease

- Hemorrhages

See a professional if you experience persistent severe headache pain that does not respond to an OTC pain killer.

As mentioned before, most headaches are not serious, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
You do not have to live with severe headache pain there are solutions and with persistence you can find the right thing that works for you.

Opening A Dollar Store - What Is Dollar Cost Averaging?

Are you considering opening a dollar store? If so, one of the areas of focus for you as you work to keep costs under control will be the cost of the goods sold. Merchandise costs are often the single largest expense for a dollar store. Knowing what dollar cost averaging is, and how to best use it can be a powerful tool for the entrepreneur whose goal is to reduce those costs.

So exactly what is dollar cost averaging? Dollar cost averaging is simply taking the average total cost of all items purchased in a specific interval. It might be for one order, for one week, one month or one year. The total cost is divided by the total number of items that the store received for that amount of money.

For example, let’s assume that you paid $100.00 for an order of toys. There were 200 items in the order and the freight was prepaid by the distributor. In this example divide $100.00 by the 200 items for an average cost of good sold of $0.50 for that order. While items within the order may have ranged from $0.35 to $0.80, the average was $0.50. If you are opening a dollar store this is important information to have as a part of the decision making process.

By knowing the average across your chosen metric, the entrepreneur who is opening a dollar store can then instantly see whether the average of all purchases is going up, down, or remaining the same. Buying decisions can then be made based on that average. In our example above, removing 12 each of the $0.80 items and replacing them with 24 each of $0.40 items can have a strong impact on the average for that one order. In this case, the impact would be to lower the overall average.

Give dollar cost averaging a try!

Students of Spa Schools - The Academics of Relaxation

Spa schools offer students an opportunity to make a living capitalizing on the growing consumer demand for beauty and wellness treatments. Whether your interest is in massage therapy, physical training, homeopathic remedies, or nail technology, spa schools offer a wide variety of curriculum to train you for the spa career of your choice. With clientele that range every age group, a growing number of spas across the country, and the rapidly expanding nature of the field itself, it’s no wonder student interest has escalated as well.

In fact, according to the 2004 Massage Therapy Consumer Survey, commissioned by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), more than one in five adults surveyed - 21 percent - received a massage in the past 12 months. On the academic side of the industry, the survey indicated there are 1,135 spa schools that offer programs of a minimum of 500 in-class hours - an 80 percent increase from the 628 programs that existed two years prior.

Skills Beyond Spa Schools
Graduates of spa schools who will succeed in their spa careers are generally those that have a love for helping people and for contributing to their clients’ well-being. If you possess a passion for health care and contributing to your community, spa schools can turn those interests into a paycheck. Flexibility is also a large part of why many people pursue a spa career. Beyond the obvious work environment at a spa, degrees from spa schools can be applied at hotels, physicians’ offices and clinics, beauty salons, group practices, and even home offices.

Some programs at spa schools even incorporate business coursework, to prepare students for the more managerial side of the spa industry. Spa directors, spa managers, marketing leaders, and operations managers are all positions found at most facilities. Students who enjoy working in the spa industry but want to pave the way to move behind working one on one with patients should explore these opportunities.

As for current trends in the industry, there are a few that are on the rise in the world of spas and massage. Massage therapy is becoming more acknowledged in medical settings, and considered by some to be preferable to chiropractic or physical therapy treatments in some cases of pain management. Also, larger numbers of health care providers are acknowledging spa therapy, and in general the Baby Boomers of the American population are growing older and demanding more spa related services and treatment.

Check out spa schools for a program that best suits your interest today!

Internet Marketing – Run With A Legitimate Internet Marketing Strategy

Internet marketing is such an incredible field to be in right now, and there is incredible growth in internet marketing right now. But one of the things that is important, is that you choose and run with a legitimate internet marketing strategy. You see, there are so many internet strategies online right now that are just scams, so you have to make sure you avoid the ones that are not legitimate.

Once you create a legitimate opportunity, you have to either learn to program for the web or have someone else do it for you. Sure, there are some web site builders out their, but the easier they are to use, the less flexibility and professionalism they tend to give you.

Then you have to learn and master the intricacies of creating email campaigns and creating web pages that are designed to let people opt in to your list (squeeze pages).

And of all this is before you learn anything about how to sell online, how to develop trust in buyers online so they will pay you for your products, how to write emails that people read instead of delete.

The list continues to go on. For some of you, this is old hat. But for many of you, this is daunting. And once you figure everything out I have already mentioned, there are always new things to learn, new ways to do things.

The only way you will succeed in this environment is develop the attitude that nothing is going to stop you. In fact, it is so difficult to succeed in internet marketing, if you do not have that attitude, you will probably fail before you even get started

Internet Marketing and Constant Change

Internet marketing is going through a very exciting phase in its existence, in my opinion. When the internet first opened up to marketing, exciting things were happening - people were writing ebooks for the first time ever - and then they had to learn to make web sties that sell - but now, the kinks are worked out and we can really work on delivering value - and getting paid for it.

However, much like the wild west, the internet has its problems and potholes. Most people who want to make money online never figure it out. Most people never make their first dollar online, let alone a living.

Everything that you go to do online is a new experience. You have to learn new skills to succeed online. For some people who are not internet savvy, even opening a web hosting account can seem like a formidable proposition. And then deciding what to sell can be frustrating. Some people find that they cannot resist the temptation to buy every sales offer that comes across their email, or at least it can seem that way. They may jump from one get-rich-quick scheme to another, failing, understandably and predictably, at all of them.

You have to be willing to take a few risks online. You have to recognize that every dollar you spend might not come back to you - although it might come back 100 fold.

But do not spend your last dollar. If all you have is your pension or your social security check, do not take stupid risks - no matter how good a sales pitch might sound, nothing is foolproof.

Beyonce “B’ Day” Pop Music CD Review

B’Day is the latest release from Pop Superstar Beyonce, and I can only think of one word to describe this CD… AWESOME!

It’s a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I’m more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all, with each song standing tall on it’s own.

B’Day has a nicely varied, mix of 10 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly superb artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are her own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They’re all here.

If you’re a Beyonce fan, or just a fan of Pop music this is a CD your collection simply should not be without.
