Beautiful Bridal Handkerchiefs For Your Wedding Day

It has long been a tradition for brides to carry a lace or embroidered handkerchief on their wedding day. Many of our grandmothers & great grandmothers brought them over from the “Old Country” or handmade their own. They are making a big comeback today. It’s nice to add a touch of yesteryear to your special day.

In Belgium, a country famous for their lace work, it is a tradition for the family of the bride to purchase or make a hankie. The bride’s name is then embroidered on it, and after the ceremony it is displayed in the bride’s family home. As subsequent daughters in the family marry, their names are added and then displayed.

Maybe you are fortunate enough to have a family heirloom to use on your wedding day. If not you can find gorgeous handkerchiefs both new & vintage in local antique stores and on the internet. You can visit my website for one of the largest selections of handkerchiefs you will find.

What to Look For In A Home Improvement Loan

Home improvement loans are a particular type of loan where the borrowed funds are used to make additions, improvements or repairs to your home or to the property on which the home is built. Using a home improvement loan in order to make modifications and enhancements to you house will result in an increase in the property value and will allow for a higher selling price in the event that you decide to sell your home. A home improvement loan can be either secured or unsecured, but is generally secured by the equity you already have in your home. In other words, the home itself is used as collateral to secure the loan.

Where to Get One

Home improvement loans are available through various sources including banks, credit unions, finance companies and other financial lending institutions. Usually, the first place to make your loan inquiries will be with your current lender. You will often obtain the best interest rate from a lender where you have already established a relationship. If what they have to offer is not appealing, there are many reputable financial lending companies who can provide a home improvement loan via the Internet. A quick search will provide many loan options.

Government Assistance

There are many state and federal government agencies that will provide a home improvement loan. These agencies usually have very strict criteria that must be met but they are definitely worth investigating. The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) website provides a wealth of information on the subject.

The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) is part of HUD and administers various single family mortgage insurance programs that are operated through FHA-approved lenders. The FHA approved lender will submit an application to have the property appraised and have the buyer’s credit approved. These lenders will then provide the loans which are insured by HUD. HUD does not make the loan itself.

The Section 203(k) program is the HUD program for the repair and rehabilitation of single family properties. Many lenders will partner with state and local housing authorities to provided Section 203(k) home improvement loans to assist borrowers. The place to start looking at this option is with a FHA approved lender or with the Homeownership Center in your local area. HUD also publish a helpful brochure called “Own a Home and Home Improvements”

What Can You Use the Funds For

While funds from a home improvement loan are frequently used to conduct major repairs such as installing a new roof or replacing outdated plumbing, many people utilize the funds for remodeling a kitchen or bathroom, landscaping a yard, adding a room or a garage or even adding an entire second floor to a single story home.

Getting the Most From Your Loan

Before committing to the loan and signing the documents ensure that you are receiving the best possible terms and interest rate. In addition, if you take out a $10,000 loan and the renovations or repairs you make to your home increases its value by, say, $15,000, then your home improvement loan can be considered an extremely worthwhile investment.

Facts About Business Credit - Can It Benefit You?

Created for supporting any business, the business credit card is in deed a solution that gives you the guarantee of separating your business expenses from your personal ones. The use of business credit cards spares you of any tax complications that could arise by mixing credits or accounts. You can also use business credit cards to keep a detailed balance of your financials and company balances.

Accessories created to simplify credit circulation and to provide benefits that resume from that, the business credit cards permit their owner to evolve in their business minimizing the number of actions done to obtain cash-flow in many situations.

They have an extraordinary characteristic which makes them number one in the field, the simplicity of their use. Every entrepreneur benefits from credit cards everywhere, anytime and with no costs and minimum time spent. With a large demand for business oriented credit cards, the offer is equally complex and ample. Sort out offers from as many issuers as possible to find the best interest rates and benefits that come with your business credit card.

Visa and Master Card are composed of a few credit players that apply with great success this financial strategy on the market and it turned out to be a real deal making their clients satisfied and most importantly, proud to own a business credit card.

One issue should be mentioned. Although there are a lot of advantages to using these cards, allowing the benefit of unlimited credit and low introductory rates, these are also things that could lead to trouble.

Checking your limit and then taking a business credit card should be the thinking engine in this case, doing this allows you to properly benefit from the deal that those cards are offering. Also, when you sign up with a credit card company or financial institution to get a business credit card for your company, make sure you carefully read the fine print of the contract to be aware of the full implications of the usage of that specific credit card.

Introductory rates might throw you off and when the introductory period is over, you find out that interest rates are not in the best interest of your company. Also, companies that make you pay for your business credit card different fees like an annual fee just for the privilege of owning a business card may not be the best alternative for you. Try to find out as much as possible about the consumer services that can affect your business on a long-term detailed account report for your expenses or consumer support. This might help you much more than discounts for car rentals or other offers that might dazzle you in the moment. So, picking a credit card and an issuer is not to be take lightly because it will have a strong influence on the way that your business will handle in the future so take the time to make the smart selection.

Thought Are Powerful - What Are You Creating With Your Thoughts?

What are you creating with your thoughts? What are you saying about your circumstances?

Your thoughts and words have the power to transform your life. Learn to harness them and make sure they work for you and not against you.

When you receive bad news, don’t say that the problem is impossible or too big. If you do that you prevent God from working to overcome the circumstances.

If you say

  • “my finances are impossible, how can I sort them out?”
  • “there’s no hope for my marriage.”
  • “the doctor’s say there’s nothing they can do, I’ll just have to live with it.”

If you say that any situation is too difficult, how can God overturn it?

“Man is made or unmade by himself; in the armoury of thought he
forges the weapons by which he destroys himself; he also fashions
the tools with which he builds for himself heavenly mansions of joy
and strength and peace.” James Allen

Life and death are in the power of your tongue! Be careful what you say.

“As your faith is, so shall it be!”

“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

If you really do have faith that God will do what you ask Him to do, your words and actions will show it.
Speak and act as though you already have what you asked God for.

All it takes is faith as small as a mustard seed and the courage to take your eyes off the circumstances and plant them firmly on God’s promises.

The physical world shapes itself to the inner world of your persistent thoughts.

Take your eyes off the circumstances. Harness your thoughts, put your faith in action, trust in God and hope and believe for the best.

Faith really does move mountains.

Be wise, make sure that your thoughts and your words work for you and not against you.

World of Warcraft Gold Farming Guide - Discover the Gold Making Serets of the Rich

I still remember the first time I saw the sun shine over Westfall’s mountains, the first level I gained, and getting ganked by 12 mobs for the first time… Good times!

But as I advanced in WoW, I found myself having to farm a large portion of my playing time so I can afford to buy consumables for raiding, get my epic mount, some new gear or enchants and the list goes on.

At some point, I realized that playing WoW isn’t a job, but a hobby; it should be fun! That was why I started developing ways to get an income in WoW, without spending too much time or breaking the rules. Since I’m no longer playing, I’m revealing my secrets in this Gold Farming Guide.

So here they are:

  1. Predict the Market. You can keep your crystal ball in the closet: All you need for this is a bit of creative thinking and an affinity for patch notes. For instance, if the notesclaim that a new instance is about to open, and you suspect it’s going to require Arcane Resistance, stocking on Arcane Resistance Potions, Trinkets, Materials and Items would be a very wise thing to do. Chances are their prices will rocket at some point, even if not immediately.
  2. Be Patient Buying. Often, greedy players place items for anywhere between 200%-1000% of what they normally go for. Buying these is a bad choice. Set the maximum price you’re willing to pay and wait patiently for the price to return to normal.
  3. Be Patient Selling. So you found an epic you’re dying to sell for some shiny gold. That’s great! Just don’t jump on the first offer you get. The fact is, the more time you advertise, the more offers you get and the higher the sell price will be. If you get reasonable offers, ask them nicely to wait while you check other options.
  4. Bargain. Much has been said and written about this skill; fortunately, most players aren’t shrewd businessmen. The best way to lower prices would be to act like you don’t care. Many times I’ve said no to offers, and got desperate whispers 2 minutes later with a half price offer. Impatient sellers will sell at a low price.
  5. Use Auctioneer. This is probably the most important tip. Auctioneer scans all the items in the auction house, allowing you to know the market price of items, find bargains and sell them for twice the price and what not. I could write a book on this one, but we need to keep it short and to the point. Get Auctioneer here.
  6. Stock. Anything that you suspect might have any value in the future should be kept. Don’t skimp out on storage, you can have many storage alts with tons of bags and bank space on each.
  7. Know Prices. When selling an item, players will sometimes offer you only a portion of what it’s worth, hoping you don’t know the actual price. This goes for buying as well. If auctioneer can’t tell you, use online databases.
  8. Get Skills. Exclusive skills are goldmines. Patterns that no one else has will make you rich, but not only those. Check the auction house regularly for differences between raw materials and usable items. For instance, the materials for a Mooncloth bag can cost 5g, while the bags go for 8g. That’s 3g for the click of a button. Be sure not to put up too many, or you will lower the prices.
  9. Don’t spend it till you’re “wealthy”. This might be hard for some, but the big money comes from “investing” money. Say you find a great pattern in AH for 3000g. It might be worth 5 times that in future earnings, but you won’t have the money to buy it. The point is that with more money you have more options to capitalize.

And a few words before we finish. Be sure to further develop these methods and learn from your personal experience. They may take minutes to implement but a long time to hone and perfect, so be patient. Good luck, and remember: WoW should be fun!

Change Management - 4 Steps to Effectively Manage Change

The most important ingredients to successfully manage change in an organization are: executive sponsorship, effective communication, and accountability. All of these are direct responsibilities of management. Thus, unsuccessful change initiatives are most frequently caused by poor management performance.

It’s relatively easy to blame the stubborn grunt workers on the front lines for digging in their heels and resisting change. Much attention is placed on effectively dealing with their emotional response to change. While that is certainly important, it’s really the managers that require much more of the focus. If they are not on board, there is no chance that the individual performers will be.

Managers have their reasons for resisting change. After all, they are people too. They are uncomfortable with change. Most are strong willed as well and are very confident that proposed changes will be either ineffective or simply won’t work at all. Furthermore, there is frequently not a high degree of trust among management. Change initiatives have been unsuccessful so many times in the past, and no one has been held accountable. As a result, managers just play along, wait until the winds of change blow over, and see where the dust settles.

It’s not so much the overt expression of dissatisfaction, rather, a subtle remark or reaction, an inability to articulate the reasons for the change, or simply ignoring a proposed change that can have a huge negative impact on team members and quickly torpedo an initiative. If managers throughout the organization are not engaged, they will not do what is necessary to get their direct reports engaged.

So, what is the solution?

1) Upper management needs to solicit input on the proposed change from managers and they in turn must do so from the other employees. Those that disagree with aspects of the approach should not be beaten down for expressing valid concerns. Rather, input should be considered and adjustments should be made as appropriate. Managers and individual performers must be part of the solution.

2) Upper management must make the change a priority and reflect it with their actions. We’ve all heard about the importance of executive sponsorship. Executives need to consistently put their money, words, and actions where their mouths are. When change is on the horizon there must be adequate resources (dollars and people) to effect the change. Too often attempts to cut corners sabotage the change from the start. For instance, tapping a manager with a full time job to project manage a large initiative in his/her spare time is a recipe for disaster. Buying everyone a copy of Who Moved My Cheese and then slinking away into the executive suite won’t do the trick either.

3) Communicate, Communicate, Communicate. It is so critical. Open and honest two-way communication must occur early and often. Expectations must be clearly set. Everyone involved must be aware of the change, why it’s being done, who is impacted and how, what the roles and responsibilities are, etc. The message must continually be reinforced throughout the organization by the multiple levels of management. Feedback must consistently be sought and acted upon. Measurable desired results must be spelled out at each level of the organization to include repercussions for not achieving the results.

4) Plans must be put in place (with contribution from team members) to achieve the desired results. Progress must be reported, and those involved must be held accountable for the results.

With the above in place, the majority of managers will be won over, and they in turn will do their part to gain the support of the rest of the employees. The result will be the successful implementation of change initiative number one. With each subsequent win, trust will grow, change will come easier, and the many benefits of innovation will follow.

Planning Your Time With Purpose

If you’re like most people, there’s a gap between how you spend your time and what’s deeply important to you. Often, people are surprised at how little time they spend doing the things that mean the most to them.

If you the time the to examine your life, your motives, and your “first things,” you can come up with a plan that is inclusive of all your desires, giving you more time for the things that you have to do, while at the same time fitting in time for the important things that you want to do.

Time is the most valuable asset that you have. So, in order to maximize your time you must discipline yourself to plan and prioritize every week. This means taking the steps necessary to put together a plan with purpose.

The first step in planning and prioritizing is for you to connect with your mission or your passion. What’s your overall purpose in life? What’s most important to you? What are the principles that you’d like to use as criteria to evaluate your goals?

The second step is to review your roles. What are your roles? Everyone has several. For example, some of yours might be as a spouse, friend, parent, child, boss, salesperson, manager, club or team member, and the list goes on. These are the areas of your life in which you need to focus your activities and your energy.

What are some of your roles? List some of them, I recommend no more than seven. Now, think of one of your roles. What’s the most important thing you want to accomplish in that role in the coming week? Think of the next role, and come up with the most important thing in the next week for that role. Repeat the process with all of them.

The third step in planning and prioritizing is to create a schedule. Look at the coming week and see where you can best allocate and maximize your time to fill all of the roles you listed in step two.

Obviously, it’s impossible to follow a schedule to the letter. As you follow your weekly list, you should be aware of other people and their needs. You must always remember that people are more important than schedules. So with that being said; what about the unplanned priorities that inevitably arise?

So, the next step is having a self-dialogue with yourself where you plan moment-by-moment, hour-by-hour and ask yourself some important core questions such as, “Is what I’m doing on target? What’s most important here? Is this next? What really counts?

At the end of each week you need to ask yourself important questions to summarize how well the week has gone. Some of the questions you should be asking are, “What did I learn from this past week? Did I focus on the most important items? Look at the unexpected problems and difficulties you faced and ask yourself, “What do I think life is trying to teach me?

If you continue to plan and prioritize your life every week, you’ll be amazed at not only how much time you’ve been able to save at the end of the year but also how much you will have accomplished. There will be a significant difference in the quality of both your personal and professional lives.

Another way to save time, plan and get in touch with the important things in your life is to start your own personal mission journal. This can be a little notebook or a file on your computer, something you carry with you. Keep it with you regularly, and you’ll have someplace to record little moments of insight and interesting experiences.

Keeping this journal will change the way you think about life and how you spend your time. It will help you perfect your vision. Having a vision is being able to see your future it’s the act of beginning a project with the end in mind. You have a mental picture of it. This mental picture is what guides every decision that you make every day.

When you combine vision with principles, you have the foundation for a mission statement. This is where your journal comes in. Set a date with yourself, block it out in your weekly planning session, to look over some of those recorded insights and thoughts, digest them, and start coming up with your first draft of a personal mission statement.

Here are three things that a good mission statement must have:

–It must represent the deepest and best within you.

–It must fulfill your own unique gifts.

–It must transcend, in other words, it is larger than life, larger than you.

A good mission statement should be based on the principles that produce quality-of-life results. It should have the kind of vision in it that you can actually see in your mind’s eye. It should deal with all of the significant roles in your life. It should be written to inspire you, to lift you, to bring the very best out from inside you.

When you begin to set up your personal mission statement and just keep following it, it will become ingrained more deeply within you. As you understand it more fully, it will become part of everything you do. When unexpected setbacks and problems take you off course your mission statement will pull you back on track and you’ll end up right where you want to be.

You may be off course most of your life, but so what? Continue planning your time so that you can get the important things done; keep your vision and principles in sight, and keep going back to them. When you discipline yourself do this on a weekly basis you’ll achieve more in a few years than most people achieve in a lifetime.

5 Tips To Burn Stomach Fat

To burn stomach fat, you must treat your stomach fat like fat on any other part of the body. You must lose fat everywhere in order to burn stomach fat. Unfortunately there is no wacky ab contraption anywhere that will burn your stomach fat - they will only strengthen the muscles underneath the fat.

1. Don’t be afraid of resistance training

Besides improving your strength and overall health, resistance training elevates your metabolism for hours after you finish working out. Not only that, but by packing on lean muscle mass, your basal metabolic rate raises, which means you will be burning more calories when you’re at rest. If you’re a woman, don’t be afraid of ‘bulking up’ - it requires a lot of testosterone to build the amount of muscle that male bodybuilders have!

2. Do cardio before your first meal

If you run before your first meal, you have to rely on burning stomach fat for energy because your body has used up all its left-over carbohydrates during the night. This trick has been proven to increase fat metabolism by up to 300%! You’ll raise your metabolism for the rest of the day, which will help you burn more calories.

3. Eat every 2-3 hours

Eating every few hours allows you to get a constant, controlled stream of blood sugar. This will prevent you from having those ‘highs’ and ‘lows’ we all are too familiar with! Also it will limit insulin release, which will lower overall fat storage.

4. Drink enough water

Water is essential for just about every function in the body. It removes toxins from the body, improves elasticity of the skin, and increases fat metabolism. Make sure you get enough of it!

5. Get plenty of sleep

Your muscles grow when you are out of the gym, not in it. Exercise breaks down the muscles, and while you’re sleeping, your body rebuilds the muscles a little bit stronger to adapt to the stress they were put under. Getting enough sleep will ensure you have plenty of time to rebuild muscles.

So there you have it, five quick tips to help you burn stomach fat.

Copywriting - How To Write A Headline - Part 3

In my last article, “How To Write A Headline - Part 2″, I explained the “Who, What, Why” formula of writing a headline. In this article, I show you how I used this formula to come up with a headline for a weight loss newsletter.

As I explained in my previous article, the first thing I do when writing a headline is identify the customer. This is the “who” part of the “What, What, Why” formula. In the case of a weight-loss newsletter, the “who” part could be: People who want to lose weight.

Now I’d advise breaking “people who want to lose weight” down even further into specific groups, like “stay-at-home moms who want to lose weight”, “busy executives who want to lose weight”, etc., and craft your headline accordingly. The more precisely your headline is targeted to your audience, the more likely it is to grab their attention.

The next step in the formula is the “what” - meaning the product. What exactly are you selling? Are you selling a weight-loss book? A membership to a pilates class? A nutritional supplement? Once you identify the product, you have to decide which product features you want to highlight and how these features will benefit your customer.

Identifying features and benefits is a pretty lengthy topic, and I’ll probably devote an entire article to it, but to keep things simple, just remember that people generally buy things for two reasons: Either to gain PLEASURE or to avoid PAIN.

When it comes to weight loss, the “pain” can be anything from low energy, to risk of disease, to feeling unattractive. The “pleasure” part can be anything from being able to fit into your favorite outfit, to getting more attention from the opposite sex, to feeling healthier and more confident. These are your motivators. It’s your job to identify your product features and show the customer how those features will bring them pleasure or help them avoid pain.

The last part of the formula is the “why”, meaning your objective. What do you want the customer to do? Do you want them to visit the website for your weight loss e-book? Do you want them to order a bottle of your African herb dietary supplement? Me being a copywriter, most of my clients’ objectives will either be making the sale on the spot, or getting the customer primed for the sale and compelling them to take further action (visit a website, request more information, etc.)

So let’s put it all together. If I’m building a headline for a weight-loss newsletter, my “Who, What, Why” formula might look something like this:

Who: “Stay-at-home moms, age 25-40, who want to lose weight”
What: “A set of weight-loss hypnosis cd’s”
Why: “Drive prospects to the sales page at www.weightlosscdformom.com”

So my headline might look something like this:

“In Less Time Than It Takes To Make Dinner For The Kids, This Little-Known Technology Can Give You The Fat-Burning Powers Of A 19-Year-Old”

This headline incorporates all three elements of the “Who, What, Why” formula. It targets stay-at-home moms aged 25-40 with the benefit contained in the phrase, “In less time than it takes to make dinner for the kids”, and by promising to give them the “fat-burning powers of a 19-year-old”. It also sparks curiosity with the phrase “little-known technology”, which makes them want to know more and draws them into the body copy, thus driving them towards the “close” - visiting the sales page on
the website. This accomplishes the “Why” objective.

So that, in a nutshell, is how I build headlines using the “Who, What, Why” formula. Play around with it and you’ll be crafting your own killer headlines…in less time than it takes to make dinner for the kids!
