5 Simple Principles To Enhance Digestion

As we get older, we realize that we cannot eat the same way we did when we were younger. This happens primarily because of the decrease in enzyme activity within our digestive system.

Even a raw food diet that is rich in enzymes might actually be too much for our system to handle. We notice this due to the discomfort we feel about 1 ½ to 2 hours after eating.
In yoga as well as in Ayurvedic schools of thought, it is widely held that cooking food destroys “Prana” and transforms “live” food into “dead” food. But since our digestive systems cannot tolerate all raw foods, this theory needs to be modified because we need to assist our digestive system by cooking food to a certain extent. I suggest that overly cooking food or using the microwave is a form of “killing” our food -making it nutrient and enzyme poor. Food should be cooked slowly, carefully, and mindfully to aid in the assimilation of what each food has to offer.

Use these 5 simple tips to aid digestion:
1. Avoid cold refrigerated food and ice cold drinks- because it can inhibit the contraction of the large intestine making it harder to digest- let food thaw to room temperature

2. Sip hot water between meals and with your meals, add ½ inch of organic ginger root to hot water - it helps secrete digestive enzymes more naturally.

3. Use a food processor or blender to blend certain foods and consume liquid foods more often as they are easier to digest -creating less stress in the intestinal tract.

4. Add fresh lime or lemon to foods to help with stimulating the natural stomach acid - helpful for digestion

5. Add organic, cold-pressed olive oil and coconut oil in salad dressings or with certain foods (pasta, breads, etc.) to help with the dry texture and to enhance your metabolism.

These tips will prove very soothing to your digestive system and help to rid you of that “uncomfortable feeling” after eating. As always a happy gut is a healthy gut!

High Vibration is the Key to Riches

Often when most people speak of vibration when applying the law of attraction they think of positive thinking. The understanding of Positive thinking to most people is that ‘if you think positive thoughts, then you will attract positive things.’ Although this is true, this understanding is still limited and does not explain an even more phenomenal effect of positive thoughts and vibration.

We are energy beings and everything in the universe is energy. How high or low the energy is within something determines it vibration. Each thought has a frequency. Negative, self denigrating thoughts and thoughts of fear have a low vibratory frequency; and you feel it because you become weakened by those lower thoughts. However positive thoughts have a higher vibratory frequency and you feel expanded when you think higher more self affirming thoughts.

Every time we engage in positive thoughts we raise our own vibration to higher more effective levels.

For the sake of explanation let’s imagine a clear plastic bag filled with water. That plastic bag will symbolise all of us as human beings. Every single time that bag encounters an attack or bump a small whole is created in the bag and water is released. Let’s imagine that bump is an emotional wound to a person or something tragic which has created doubt, frustration or fear. Every time something happens another whole is created in that plastic bag and more water leaks out.

That water which leaks out symbolises the energy leak which happens every time someone engages in negative self defeating thoughts. They empty themselves out of vital energy and become deflated like the plastic bag.

How does this apply to vibration you maybe asking?

Each thought has a frequency a low energy thought leaves you feeling defeated and weak. Whereas a positive thought has a higher frequency. Every time you engage in a positive self affirming thought it serves as a sutra and patches up those energy leaks that were previously escaping. As you patch up those energy leaks in your spiritual body you are then able to hold much more energy. The more energy you are able to hold the higher your own vibration.

Higher energy is equivalent to a car on a full tank of great quality gas. With a higher vibration of energy every thought and every action you take will be one of power. Very little effort would be needed. There is no need to struggle.

You may have heard many people complain that they have visualised and repeated affirmations yet they have not see any results and the reason for this is that they must first learn the importance of increasing their vibration. Before you can want to create wealth you must first focus on increasing your own internal wealth of high vibration energy, which once understood opens the gates to abundance on all levels.

Higher vibration always wins.

Hover Boards of the Future - Propulsion of Hoverboards Considered

Let us put skateboarding aside for a second and consider hover craft designs, hover boards prototypes and the reality of the forces of nature that they must deal with to perform. Let’s explore both on planet and off planet activity for a moment to fully grasp what is going on.

One of the biggest considerations of Hoverboards will be the need for a very efficient propulsion system which is low-weight and powerful enough to over come issues with air-resistance as speeds increase. Hoverboards which are used on Earth will most likely have speeds of up to 45 miles per hour or less due to hyperbolic coefficient of drag curves as speeds increase. Since these technologies will be used where the air is most thick near the ground this makes sense.

If these technologies are to be used on other planets they may be able to propel the rider or a robot at much greater speeds without dealing with the thickened atmosphere and yet still this provides yet another consideration, the hover craft or hover board must work harder to lift the weight provided the planet is similar in gravity. If less gravity, one could design a hover board planet surface rover type exploratory device that would be quite efficient indeed.

Now let’s get back to Earth and remember our goal is to propel a 90 to 160 pound kid around at a pace, speed and maneuverability that is desired by a human in their prime of life period of athletic ability and agility. That is what we are really talking about and we must remember that we have somewhat fixed challenges to over come here on Earth.

What sort of propulsion device do you think would work best for a Hoverboard? The Online Think Tank has floated many potential propulsion devices and some are not so far out of this world and are worthy of further exploration.

5 Easy Steps for Energy Space Clearing

There are times that a space clearing is necessary within your living space. It could be after a break-up or divorce; it could also be after the visit of unwelcome or disturbing company.
Whatever the reason, it is important to pay attention to the energy within your home. If it feels as though you can’t breathe or something about the room just doesn’t feel right, then it is time to cleanse the energy of the home.

It is also a very good idea to do a space clearing once a season. It is especially needed after winter, when the doors and windows have been closed for most if not all of the season. The energy in the rooms can become stagnant and you may find things in your life feel the same.

It is also important to do a space clearing when you purchase something for the home, before introducing it into the home, such as a permanent item of fixture. It is equally important to sage the item using wild sage - not the kind used for cooking - gently light the tip of the dried plant and let the smoke waft over and around the item to be placed in the home) before it enters the home.
We all know that everything has energy and as is its nature, energy needs to move about. Energy is constantly changing; it moves into and out of form. This is how it maintains its balance.

So we need to balance the energy of our space within our own home to ensure that we keep the good energy flowing and moving.

Here are the 5 easy steps for space clearing to ensure you keep the good energy flowing.
1. Light a white candle encased in a jar to allow it to stay lit until it burns out naturally.

2. During the late morning hours open all the windows in the home. Allow the breeze to penetrate the home space.

3. Use a brass bell or Pythagorean lyre a lyre or bells tuned in a precise way) and walk around ringing or chiming. Make sure to get all the corners closets.

4. Burn white sage or organic sandal wood incense in the middle of each room.

5. Mentally chant this Sanskrit mantra “Om gum Ganapatayei Namaha” this particular mantra is used to remove blockages, it means literally “I remove all blockages which I may be feeling, mental, physical or emotional”.

Conclude your space clearing ritual by saying a mental thank you and begin to close the windows in each room. Then sit in silence with your eyes closed and feel the vibration of good energy. Visualize a harmonious atmosphere within your home - and then you’re done!

Remember that your health is your wealth!! Keep your thoughts positive!

What to I Do if I Don’t Have a Perfect History?

Background checks can be a pain if you have anything in you past that may be a little grey. Now a days, most companies use them to make sure that they are not hiring anyone that can be a detriment to their corporation. Companies, such as TYSY, AFLAC and government jobs will all be sure to check to ensure that you are the right person for the job.

If there is anything in your past, do not wait for the company to find out on its own. Make sure that you are honest and sincere. If the company does discover information about you that you have not divulged, not only will it look bad on your part, there is almost a hundred percent chance that you will not land the job that you are looking for.

Depending on how old your offense was, you can contact a lawyer and possibly get your record expunged, this involves the court pardoning you for your offense and wiping your record clean. You offense will still be in the FBI database but will not be present in the local and state databases that background checks are pulled from. If you’re still trying to get a government position then they may pull from the FBI database, just make sure that you are honest and cooperative when asked to explain. The longer time has past since the initial offense the better. Companies, law school and medical schools, want to see reformed behavior. Having this can result in great opportunities.

The key is to try. Yes, it may be a little harder to get the perfect job, and you may have to sacrifice a little in the beginning, but a slow, steady approach towards work and life will reap great benefits in the working world. If you do not land the job that you want, take a small step down, create a great resume, and apply for the job while you are still employed at your current position. This tactic is something that most people do not follow. Trying to get a position of great value while unemployed while greatly reduce anyone’s chances of landing the perfect career, remember a slow and steady approach always win out and honest IS the best policy when dealing with a jaded past that you have broken away from.

Background checks are nothing to be afraid of as long as you explain and past offenses and remain honest with any employer about your intentions. And when you are hired, they may put you on a longer evaluation period, but this is ok. With a good work history things will pan out wonderful.

How to Write a 20-Second Resume Cover Letter

Why 20 seconds? As a headhunter, I seldom spend more than 20 seconds reading a resume cover letter. I deal with a lot of hiring managers and understand that they have a similar practice.

My clients are investment bankers, and these are the busiest people under the sun. Actually all hiring managers are busy and have to read numerous resume cover letters daily. Therefore the longer you write, the less effective your letter is. A 20-second resume cover letter is sure to capture the most attention from any hiring manager.

Summarizing the most outstanding resume cover letters that I’ve read, I have come up with a formula that works for any industry and anybody.

A 20-second resume cover letter must answer all these questions precisely:

1.-What are you doing?
2.-What do you want to do?
3.-What are you able to do?
4.-What do you want the reader to do?

Here is a classic example of a 20-second resume cover letter. It attracts three replies in five minutes even without attaching a resume.

Trader Positions

Hello, my name is Anna Maria D’Souza and am currently trading live Asian markets for a $1 billion hedge fund in London. I am willing to relocate given the right fit and opportunity. In a nutshell, I have my own book as well as do some facilitation whenever I am needed. I have experience in a variety of products ranging from cash, options/derivatives, CB’s, etc.

Please let me know who I should talk to in order to pursue opportunities.

Well if you have valuable experience like this candidate, you are sure that all hedge fund mangers want to see you. What if we are a beginner or have less experience? Can we do something similar? Yes. Just copy my formula and answer the four questions I have set.

Here is a draft, assuming I am a fresh graduate. As nowadays almost all cover letters and resumes come through email, I have therefore omitted the traditional letter format.

Entry Level Analyst Position

Hello, my name is Anna Maria D’Souza. I have just obtained my master’s degree from the Yale University. My focus was on financial engineering and economics. I am looking for an entry level analyst position. I have been a quantitative analyst intern at Goldman Sachs and have a good understanding of the US and Asian markets.

I have attached my resume and would welcome an opportunity to meet you. Please contact me on 12345678 or email amd@email.com

Remember, in a 20-second resume cover letter, every word counts. Every word should add value. Never write long sentences, such as ‘I take the liberty to submit my resume’ or ‘I would most appreciate it if you would call me for an interview’.

What if I am replying to an ad? Well, easy, use the same formula and modify the headline like this.

Entry Level Analyst Position - Reply to Your Advertised Vacancy

Consider the busy level of hiring managers, your 20-second resume cover letter will certainly attract the most attention and is a guarantee that the hiring manager read your letter in full and wants to see you.

Are the Ten Commandments Relevant today?

There are some pastors today within the Christian Church who are preaching that the Ten Commandments are no longer valid. Is this what the Word of God teaches?

Jesus summarized the Ten Commandments when He said, Mathew 22:37-40 “…Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets”.

Some people have misunderstood this to be saying that these two commandments replaced the Ten Commandments, but Jesus was not giving a ‘new’ law, He was in fact quoting an Old Testament scripture about the importance of keeping the Ten Commandments. Deuteronomy 6:5-8 “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: … And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes”.

Jesus was showing that the Ten Commandments were a law of love, the first four commandments showed us how to love God, and the last six how to love our fellow man. This is why He said, “On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets”.

Another misunderstanding on the relevance of the Ten Commandments has come from Colossians 2:16 “Let no man therefore judge you in meat (offering), or in drink (offering), or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:”. Many people who have read this verse out of context have concluded that this means that the fourth Commandment, which says “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy….” was abolished at the cross, but this is not what the verse is saying. It is speaking about the Ceremonial law, which was abolished at the cross, when Jesus’ one time perfect sacrifice, made forever null and void the need for further animal sacrifices. If the previous verses are read, it is clear that it was the handwritten ceremonial law, and not the ten commandment law, which was written by God’s own finger in stone, that was abolished. Colossians 2:14 states, “blotting out the handwriting (the only laws written by hand were the ceremonial laws, written by Moses -) of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross.”

Also the ceremonial law had always been symbolically placed in the side of the Ark of the Covenant, to show that it was temporary, and ‘against’ the people. The Ten Commandment law on the other hand, was written in stone by the finger of God, and placed inside the Ark of the Covenant, symbolizing its eternal nature.

Luke further clarifies that there is a definite distinction between the Ten Commandment and Ceremonial laws, and that they were not one and the same. Luke 1:6 “And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.”

Does Jesus Want Us to Keep All of the Ten Commandments?

Jesus showed us that the Ten Commandments would never change. Mathew 5:18 “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled”.

He also demonstrated that and that they were an eternal law of love John 15:10 “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love”.

So if the Ten Commandments are still valid and in place today, why is it that most Christian denominations only keep nine, and ignore the fourth commandment which tells us to keep the seventh day Sabbath?

Jesus and His disciples all faithfully kept the seventh day Sabbath their entire lives.

It has been established by many historians and theologians that the books of Luke and Mathew were written between 60 and 80 AD. Luke does not tell us of a day change, but instead he states in Luke 23:56, “…And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.”

Jesus also showed that the Sabbath would still be kept after the cross when He prophesied about the forthcoming destruction of the temple, which happened around 70 AD. Jesus said, Matthew 24:20, “And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.” This shows that Jesus was expecting His people to be faithfully keeping the Sabbath in the future. If the day was going to change in any way, this would have been the time for Jesus to prophecy about that.

Historians confirm that the seventh day Sabbath was kept by Jews and Gentiles alike, until about 120 AD when the persecution of the Jews for Sabbath keeping became so great that many Christians decided to go against the clear Commandment of God and started keeping Sunday, so as to distance themselves from the Jews. Some began using the excuse that it was in honour of the resurrection, to excuse that fact that there was no biblical basis for the change.

In 321 A.D. Constantine, who was a pagan, became Caesar in Rome and when he began to see the balance of power shift from paganism to the Church he passed the first law enforcing Sunday worship in 321 AD. Two years later he joined the Roman Catholic Church and began to intermingle paganism and Christianity. It was well after 400 AD before Sunday eventually took on the name of the Lord’s Day.

In many papers and documents written by the Roman Catholic Church, they openly take credit for moving the sanctity of the Seventh day Sabbath to Sunday, by their own authority, which they say is above that of the scriptures.

“The authority of the church could therefore not be bound to the authority of the Scriptures, because the Church had changed…the Sabbath into Sunday, not by command of Christ, but by its own authority.” Canon and Tradition, p. 263.

This means then that when we keep Sunday as our day of worship, instead of the Seventh day which was commanded by God, then we are putting man-made traditions above the Word of God. Can man really override or ignore the power and authority of God?
