Relora, The Facts About Relora

Relora is a new patent pending plant extract of Phellodendron amurense and Magnolia officinalis that may help relieve stress and anxiety and minimize stress-induced eating. The plant extracts in Relora bind to important target receptors in the central nervous system that are associated with anxiety. Relora does not bind with the receptors that cause sedation, yet has the relaxing qualities that some of the benzodiazepine drugs have, without the drowsiness.

Chronic stress has been shown to be a contributing factor in compulsive food cravings which can lead to obesity. Relora is a safe non-sedating formula that can help to alleviate symptoms associated with stress. Preliminary research has shown that Relora may help to regulate cortisol production in the body. High levels of cortisol have been shown to be associated with emotional over-eating in people who suffer with stressful lives.

Next Pharmaceuticals developed Relora over a three-year period of screening fractions of various plants from around the world, running human trials, and conducting pharmacology and toxicology studies. These studies showed that eight out of ten stressed individuals felt more relaxed, and seven out of ten enjoyed a more restful sleep after taking Relora. Nine out of ten said that it was gentle on the stomach.

More than 20 percent of North American adults have Metabolic Syndrome, a type of obesity characterized by increased facial and abdominal fat. This is also associated with increased risk for; heart disease, stroke, hypertension, cancer and diabetes. All these conditions are associated with stress related elevated cortisol levels. The new findings with Relora are very exciting because Relora is the first natural product for lowering cortisol and decreasing stress, which has been shown to cause the excess fat deposits seen in Metabolic Syndrome.

Relora has been shown to: help to relieve stress, reduce anxiety, help control irritability, depression, improve blood flow, and hormonal balance. Some precautions when taking Relora: keep out of the reach of children, do not take with alcoholic beverages, excessive consumption may impair driving ability. If you are pregnant or are breast feeding, or if you are taking any other medication, you should consult your physician before taking Relora.

Relora has been shown to promote normal healthy levels of Cortisol and DHEA in the body. For more information on Relora and the effects of stress and cravings on the body, please visit: http://www.relora-review.com

Hummingbirds and HummZingers

One of the most fascinating sights in nature is that of a Hummingbird feeding
at a station you’ve provided for them. If you don’t have the space for
natural plants, or no time to create and maintain a special area, you can
still attract and enjoy Hummingbird visits with nectar feeders.

While Hummingbirds are attracted by the colors of red and orange, a
constant source of quick-energy nectar will keep them coming back
regardless of the color of the container. Keeping any color dye out of the
liquid eliminates any potentially adverse effects of unnecessary
chemicals. Feeders should be placed near shrubs or small trees so the
Hummingbirds can seek quick refuge from potential predators. As with any
birds you would like to attract to your yard, providing clean water on a
regular basis is a must.

With respect to commercial Hummingbird feeders, my favorite selection is
the HummZinger line from Aspects, Inc. The HummZingers have a bright red
cover to attract Hummingbirds without the use of dyes. The polycarbonate
construction affords durability. There is a wrap-around perch that allows
the Hummingbirds to rest in-between sips of nectar. The HummZingers have
ant moats and some have built-in tips at the ports to keep flying insects
away from the food. All models are easy to clean and hang without spilling
the nectar. The HummZingers all come apart quickly for easy cleaning.

The HummZingers even have the recipe for nectar on the underside of the cover.
For reference, it consists of 1 part white sugar to 4 parts water.

Keeping any Hummingbird feeder clean and the nectar fresh, as well as
providing a safe environment with readily available water, are minor tasks
that can be rewarded with marvelous visits from these tiny wonders of nature.

Recognizing Attention Deficit Disorder

Everyone has heard of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). It may even seem like everyone else’s children have it. Studies show that between 3 and 5% of all children have ADD. Putting that into perspective, in any given classroom there is probably at least one child that has ADD. Children with ADD appear to be out of control. They show signs of being unusually active. They tend to function by impulse and without thinking. They seem to not be able to pay attention for very long at all. Usually their lack of attention comes last in the sequence. It may take months for the child to demonstrate such abnormalities. It is common for children with ADD to go undiagnosed because their behavior is written off as a discipline issue. It is easy to believe it is related to discipline because the development of the symptoms is generally gradual. A child that has historically been well behaved slowly becomes less in control, thus adults take the reasons in stride. As difficult as it is to notice potential ADD, the issues may very well be a disciplinary problem. One clue is if the child demonstrates all three traits; hyperactivity, inattentiveness and impulsiveness. It is essential a professional make the diagnosis, because it is very possible the symptoms are not ADD.

Although ADD typically involves young and very young children, it does have a lesser history with teenagers and even adults. In addition to the typical symptoms discussed above, teens and adults feel a need to always be busy doing something. They tend to multi-task. They feel guilty if they aren’t highly active. Teens and adults tend to retain impulsiveness. The resulting gratification they achieve from impulsive behavior is immediate, but short lived.

There are lots of possible causes of ADD. Perhaps a previous brain injury is the source. Maybe it is genetics, allergies, or even diet.

Many other medical concerns may accompany ADD, or they may be present in patients without ADD. Some of these disorders are Tourette’s Syndrome, learning disability, bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression.

The treatment for ADD is determined on a case-by-case basis. Each patient will respond effectively to a treatment program designed specifically for them, their specific degree of disorder and body chemistry. Although each patient receives a treatment customized just for him or her, it is almost always a treatment of medication. Other elements that might be a part of the treatment process are behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, skills training and support groups. When the ADD patient becomes a teenager, even more special knowledge and perhaps addition training will most likely be needed. The typical challenges facing teenagers are doubly difficult for the teen with ADD. Teenage drivers are far too often involved in traffic crashes for a variety of reasons, mostly related to inexperience behind the wheel. ADD teens are almost four times as likely to have a crash as a non-ADD teen. The family may want to elongate the amount of time required of the new drivers before turning them out on their own. The added experience as a driver (with supervision) may have significance in the long run for the ADD teen. It may make a major difference with their self-confidence.

Parents and other family members may find it helpful to take part in specialized parenting training. They may need to work with the child’s school to insure staff has appropriate knowledge of how to properly handle ADD children.

The first and best thing parents, family and friends can do to get ADD help is to get an education. The Internet is full of informational sources. The Internet has many forums and blogs that might be just the ticket. Support groups are also abundant; and are an excellent form of face-to-face help. Your family doctor should be able to provide you with any local sources. An ADD specialist will provide you with information and training as a part of the treatment process.

How to Help Avoid Identity Theft with These 12 Tips

Identity theft is a very lengthy and ugly ordeal. It is next to impossible to reverse and it can take several years before Credit Company’s stop bothering you constantly with collection calls. In addition, it may cost you thousands of dollars to fight.

How does identity theft occur? It occurs when an identity thief obtains your social security number, bank account numbers, birthdate and other pertinent information. After they steal your information, they can easily order your birth certificate online. All numbers lead to you.

The following 12 tips are taken from my latest book, Shop for a Day with Jaci Rae - How to Get Almost Anything for Free and can help save your identity and your sanity.

1.-Order your credit report from each of the three credit reporting companies. You are allowed one free credit report from each of these agencies every year. Check your credit report carefully and close any accounts that you no longer use.

2.-Avoid carrying your checkbook with you unless it’s absolutely necessary. Many identity thefts occur by stealing checkbooks and forging checks. A thief can take scrapings from the check below the prior check to obtain your signature. (The same rule applies to credit cards.)

3.-Guard your social security number, birthdate, and your mother’s maiden name with extra care. Without this information, an identity thief will be unable to steal your identity.

4.-Avoid putting paid bills and anything that contains personal information and your signature in your home mailbox. Instead, take them to the Post Office or hand them to your mail carrier. If you work outside of your home, bring them to work and drop them in the mail slot at your work. Many thieves pickpocket out of mailboxes. Once a thief has your mail at his / her home, they open it and use special chemical washes over the checks to wipe out all the information with the exception of your signature. Now they have a blank check with your signature on it and can drain your bank account.

5.-Purchase a good paper shredder. The cost of a paper shredder is a lot less money than credit card offers stolen and taken out in your name. Shred all old documents that have any information about you, as well as bank records, tax records that are no longer needed and any offers, especially credit card offers that come in the mail. A safe bet is to shred any paper with your information on it that you no longer need.

6.-Never trust an email that asks you to click on a link from a company that may have any information about you. Instead, open your browser and hand type in the website URL you are familiar with, not the one in the email, if you believe you need to respond. Better yet, call the institution with the phone number you already have on file. This rule applies to more than just banking information. Never click on links inside an email from eBay, Paypal, your ISP provider, the I.R.S., etc. All of these accounts have your bank or credit card information in them.

7.-Forget taking surveys via telephone. If someone calls to ask you to participate in a survey, the person calling is getting a lot of personal information about you that is none of their business. Politely state you aren’t interested, to please take you of their list and then hang up.

8.-The Social Security Administration sends out a statement every year (about four months prior to your birthdate), with your information. Check it carefully to make sure it’s accurate.

9.-Do not add your social security number, phone number or driver’s license number to your checks. If the information is required by a store, you can always write that information on the check manually. This will help insure that information is safe should your checkbook be stolen.

10.-Always take great care in checking not only your bank statements, but also your credit card statements to ensure that everything is correct and all transactions are ones that are familiar to you. If you find something you do not recognize, file a dispute immediately. You can file disputes up to 60 days after something is not correct in most states, but after that, the money is gone forever, even if it was a fraudulent transaction. Many crooks are learning how to make E.F.T. withdrawals from bank accounts by using the swiping machines you have used to purchase items at legitimate companies / stores to make duplicate or larger charges later on.

11.-When looking for a job online, it’s always best to visit your desired place of employment in person when it’s necessary to give out your personal information and identification. There are job postings from seemingly well-known companies seeking someone with your job skills. After you contact them via email, a phone call will ensue later on. During the subsequent phone calls, you will be asked to give out more and more personal and financial information, including your social security number. Don’t go there. Always go to the brick and mortar building and into the human resources office to fill out an application. If it’s out-state, then go online to find out the corporate headquarters office and call them directly, without using the phone number the person in the email or on the job site provided. (There are more detailed scams than this one, but you get the picture.)

12.-Never pay to recover money you have lost in a scam. There are companies that offer to help you recover money that you’ve been scammed out of for only a small fee. These companies are often headed by the very company that scammed you out of the money in the first place. The facts are that sadly, you will most likely never recover money lost in a scam, but it’s best to leave that up to the authorities. That doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t be proactive, but certainly don’t pay anyone to help you recover the money.

The last tip is to say thank you to the store clerk who asks for your I.D. when you use your credit card. It always amazes me when clerks don’t check for I.D. or signature validation when they accept a credit card or a check.

I have often asked about this and the answer is always the same, ‘If you have the credit card, you must be the owner.’ The thoughtful store clerks who do ask for I.D. are acting as a safety net for you and are watchdogs for your finances. Be thankful and happy they are willing to do their job correctly and take the time to insure your safety.

If you feel you have fallen victim to identity theft, fraud or have been ripped off by a company always file a dispute with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and if its fraud related, contact your local police department as well as the F.B.I.

Then be sure to add fraud alerts to all of your bank and credit card accounts. You can also add a fraud alert with the credit monitoring services such as TransUnion and Experian. You only need to add this information to one of the services, as they will forward your information to the others.

The best way to help avoid identity theft, rip-offs and scams is to be alert and on the look out. Punishment for identity thieves seems to be next to impossible to achieve. The only way you can really protect yourself is by taking the steps needed to help prevent identity theft from occurring.

The Costs Of Pre-Employment Background Checks

In years past, it used to be true that doing background checks was relatively difficult and they weren’t often done. Often, in this case, pre-employment screening service software was used. However, this was expensive to obtain and often not up-to-date. In short, if you wanted to, you could probably keep skeletons in the closet for years or perhaps even forever. In some cases, companies still use pre-employment screening service software.

However, now, these days, the Internet makes background checks easy and these are generally more useful than using pre-employment screening software. Many sites offer background checks, usually done for a small fee. In these cases, you have the applicant disclose personal information to you, so that you can do a search for them using their Social Security Number or other sensitive information. These types of things will typically reveal everything from financial status to criminal record, bad debts, and the like. In most cases, legitimate candidates will have no trouble revealing their personal information to you. In fact, if a candidate should not wish to disclose his or her personal information to you, that may, in fact, be a red flag that he or she has something to hide.

In addition, should you so choose, even a simple search engines search will reveal interesting information about your prospective candidate. For instance, simply typing in a candidate’s name and perhaps university affiliation from student days may bring up personal information, such as personal profile pages on several popular web sites. In this case, sometimes, these profile pages can reveal information that, while something the candidate obviously doesn’t care “casual” acquaintances know about, since he or she posted it, it’s obviously something the candidate wouldn’t want a prospective employer to know about. For instance, you might type in your candidate’s name and college affiliation, hit “enter” and find that they have a personal profile page where they list their favorite activity as “drinking and passing out,” for example. Of course, this may very make you rethink wanting to hire this candidate, since they’ve shown they can be irresponsible in their personal lives.

Again, although pre-employment screening service software is also an option, a background check is usually both quicker and more efficient. It may cost you some money, but the process itself is quick and easy and again, it will disclose information about your candidates that you may wish to know that may make them less than desirable as employees. In addition, if a candidate has a clean background check, this, of course, makes him or her a more desirable candidate.

In sum, background checks are wonderful ways to screen prospective employees for any past behaviors that may warrant them unemployable in your business. Any criminal behavior would likely set off warnings about risks you may be taking to hire him or her for employment.

Be Easily Recognized With a Postcard Advertising Campaign

Grow your business and increase sales by making sure your customers remember your business when they want what you have.

Postcards offer you many unique benefits when compared to other types of advertising. As a reminder, here are some of the advantages postcard advertising offers:

1. low cost for design, printing, and postage delivery
2. small enough for customers to easily carry in their pocket.
3. efficient because they do not require envelopes so they catch the customer’s attention easier.
4. easy to organize for test marketing on small groups before sending to a larger group.
5. versatile in use to solicit repeat business and new business in the same mailing.
6. easy to track results by having recipients bring their cards in for a prize or discount.
7. able to keep your advertising away from your competitor’s view by not sending them a card.

A business can increase the power in these marketing advantages with postcards by creating an advertising campaign with their postcards. An advertising campaign is a series of advertisements sharing a common element or theme. Each postcard advertisement has all the advantages listed above, and the series of advertisements in a campaign creates a greater impact than any one of the postcard advertisements. The repetition of a common advertising theme starts to drive its own level of recognition. For example, a customer receives a postcard from a local restaurant advertising “all you can eat fish on every Friday night”. The first time he received the postcard he views the ad just long enough to know which restaurant it was, but he is not hungry for fish and tosses the ad. He receives the ad again the following month, and this time with a glance he already recognizes the restaurant from the common theme of the ad and this time he studies the details of what is being offered, but he is still not hungry for fish. Later he receives another postcard ad from the restaurant and fish sounds good so he decides to go.

With all advertising it is the goal of the business to catch the customer’s attention at the time he wants what is being offered by the business. By repeating the ad the business has a higher probability of catching the customer at the right time. That is not all though, because the repeated ads create a recognition by the customer. After a while the customer can immediately recognize the business sending the ad. Therefore, he does not need to study who is sending the ad and just needs to view what the ad is about. Through repetition the business has already made it easier for the customer to view what the ad is about. After some period of repeating the ad the customer is more likely to just start thinking about the business when he wants what is being advertised even without the ad being in front of him. This recognition created through the advertising campaign’s common element or theme has now delivered a far greater value to the business than just sending a bunch of unrelated ads.

To summarize, postcard advertising has many benefits to consider for marketing a business. These benefits can be increased dramatically by developing an advertising campaign.

Public Schools or Private Schools - Which Education is Best for Your School Age Child?

Many parents are conflicted when trying to decide where they should send their children to school. With so many choices of public, private, and parochial schools to choose from it is often difficult which course of action is best for your child. Quality of teaching, class size, teacher -student ratio, and teaching style are all important. There are so many things to think about when choosing a school but these are the most important areas to consider:

  • Your child’s age - many times a private kindergarten is best for your child because of class size and a higher teacher-student ratio. Young children excel when given more attention and this may be more desirable. Public schools tend to have 20 children with only one teacher and no full-time teaching assistant. Private schools will have 10-16 students and two credentialed teachers. Middle school or junior high is a challenge for many students. Going from one class and teacher all day to a larger school is a huge change for your child. They will now be with older children and have six or seven different teachers throughout the day. The public schools may have as many as forty students in each class and over seventy in a physical education class. High school comes with its own set of challenges. A larger, public school many times may offer a wider selection of classes and extracurricular activities. If your child is involved in an advanced academic program or in a specialized sports program you may need to choose a school for them based on these criteria. You must look at the individual needs of your child during these years.
  • Your child’s temperament, learning style, specific needs, and interests - What works for one child may not work well for another. You know your child better than anyone else ever will. Visit several schools and see how their program and routines will fit the personality of your child. Find out as much as you can about the school’s curriculum and other aspects of the teaching program. Your child may be more creative than academic at certain times during their school age years. Private schools have more flexibility with the programs they offer. Public schools must adhere to federal and local district mandates regarding the curriculum that is taught and even the textbooks and trade books that may be used in the classroom.
  • Your family’s beliefs in regards to religion and teaching style - Have a family discussion early in your child’s educational experience to determine what information and curriculum you would like them to be exposed to during their time at school. Children of school age spend the majority of their waking hours in the classroom, where they will be exposed to ideas and information that you may not agree with. You may choose to have religious training for your child during their school day. Think about what type of material that you would like taught to your child, and at what age, and see which type of school fits that most consistently.

Sending your child to school should be a joyous time. You want them to have the best education possible with the least distraction, interruption, and unpleasantness. Take the time to research the available opportunities in your community and then choose which school experience will be right for your child and your family.

Your Aging Siamese - Tips for Better Living

Siamese cats are recognized for living longer than the average cat. This means that owners must be prepared to deal with an elderly cat. Elderly Siamese have their own needs and desires. Here are some tips for meeting them.

Your elderly Siamese likes routine. Cats, particularly as they reach their geriatric years, dislike change. Changes that are mildly stressful in a young cat can be overwhelming to an older cat. It’s best to try and maintain a routine for your elderly Siamese. Don’t move the food dishes. Try and avoid rearranging the furniture. Keep to a routine schedule as much as possible.

Older cats often suffer from kidney failure. Siamese cats are no exception. Having plenty of fresh water available is important for all cats, but is particularly important for your older cat. The kidneys need to be flushed regularly and as they stop working as efficiently there is an increased need for water.

Water fountains are now made especially for cats and will often encourage your elderly Siamese to drink water. A good water filter can also be important. Whatever you use, make sure the water is fresh.

Many manufacturers make special diets for elderly cats. Your Siamese may appreciate this and the lower protein and phosphorous in these diets may slow the decline in kidney function. As cats age, their sense of smell decreases,so a diet for an older cat needs to smell strongly. Many older cats have lost teeth. They may find it easier to eat a wet food. In addition to being easier on an old kitty’s mouth, wet food will increase the consumption of water as there is far more fluid in canned food than in dry.

As cats age, they may not see as well or hear as well. In some cases they may have some arthritis. This can make the elderly Siamese feel more vulnerable. It’s helpful to be extra reassuring when something frightens your Siamese. Be aware that arthritic cats can’t jump as easily and may need a little set of steps to reach a favored napping place. Watch out for their balance as well and avoid falls. A cat who doesn’t see well may need a baby gate set up to avoid falling down a stairwell.

Elderly Siamese continue to love attention. An older cat provides a calm and contented joy that isn’t available to a younger cat. It’s a wonderful thing to be able to cuddle with an old friend where each understands the expectations of the other. A little bit of extra thought can make those years even better for your aging Siamese.

Car Accident Claim - What To Do

Car accidents may all look the same, but the truth is they all have their subtle differences. Therefore, no car accident claim can be exactly like another. Accidents will always happen, there’s nothing to do about it; but if you are unfortunate enough to be a victim of such an accident you should know that a successful compensation claim must be carefully planned if you want to make it.

All Car Accidents Are Unique

But know this: there are so many companies that try to “help” in this kind of situation that you can’t always tell which are competent and which are not. Watch it for those men who intercept you seeing the accident or at the hospital. They get their paycheck out of commissions so you can’t say they are as empathetic as they seem. So seeing the difference between a good company and a bad one will be a crucial thing before you act.

In most of cases, these people will want your injury claim. Even if it means by-passing the small print! Also important, you shouldn’t let them go on and on about their “successes”, cases won, claims delivered etc, because your situation is unique, and so anything can happen. They are paid to practically fool you, so don’t let them.

Then How Do You Make A Successful Car Accident Claim?

Car accident injury claims are one of the most important issues in their field. There is not much room for interpretation and the most important information can only be gathered at the scene. It is crucial for the victim to gather as much as he/she can, making notes about the driver and insurance, the place where it happened, how did it happen and most importantly how. If the police is present then things are simpler, because they know better what to look at and what questions to ask.

Tips and Tricks

The accident solicitor will tell you “all” about the things you need to do. After that, he will always ask: “Any questions about what I just told you?” Never say “No, I’m fine with it”, for this is a heavy mistake.
Please do interrogate him thoroughly:
- Will I get the ‘whole’ of my compensation? If yes… continue
- Will I need to pay a fee? If no… continue
- Do you recover costs from the other side (i.e. people at fault)? If yes… continue
- Would I need to pay anyone any money once my claim is settled? If no… proceed.

Passengers In A Car Accident

In most cases, passengers will not have any blame in an accident; they can be from either, the fault or non-fault side. But it wasn’t them who drove the automobile, so they have the greatest chances of success when asking for a correct compensation. Of course, they need to be checked by medical specialists for their injuries, otherwise there will be no claim. Passengers (no matter if husbands, wives, children or relatives) can make their car accident claim without any hesitation. Why should they suffer because of another persons’ negligence?

If you were the passenger and your driver messed up, you can still make your claim, it was his fault, you didn’t have anything to do with it. So no matter in which car you were when the accident occurred, you make a successful claim! But if you were the one who drove and it was indeed your fault, then there’s no chance at all you could make a claim. Only your passengers will be able to do that, against you.

Payment Factors

Do you know that there are some factors that will cut down the compensation payments you can receive? For example, if you weren’t wearing a seat belt, you will get less money, 25% less. What’s more, if the driver was drunk when it happened, you knew that he wasn’t in the right condition to drive and still you didn’t do anything about it then this will lower your payment by a certain amount.

There are cases where the driver admits part liability on a proportion basis. Generally it’s 50/50, but it needs to be assessed by an investigator who will examine who’s at fault before concluding. There are even some cases that result to 80/20.

Decision Dilemmas

You DO NOT need to hold back thinking it was your friend’s or family’s car. They pay insurance premiums every year to ensure if anything happens, they’re covered and so are their passengers. You also need NOT WORRY if you were in a taxi, bus, train or any other form of public transport. You can still proceed with an accident compensation claim, as the drivers are insured, as is the taxi, train and bus driver. Companies pay thousands every year in insurance premiums to cover passengers for these unfortunate accidents and injuries.

On speaking to a quality car accident solicitor will you be able to eliminate doubts in your head about payments, fees and procedures!
