Interested In A Japanese Garden?

If you have ever been lucky enough to behold a Japanese Garden then you’ll surely know what it is to truly want something. Everyone who has ever seen one of these gardens wanted one in their home simply because they are that beautiful. Well good news, it’s not that hard so don’t wait any longer, now you can actually have it!

A Japanese garden can be quite versatile although the overall landscape is fundamentally Oriental. But it can include anything from a fish pond with Koi fish to a rock waterfall and even a stream depending on how much space you have and how much of a true Japanese garden you want.

The first task is to dig a ditch for the pond for the Japanese garden since no garden is complete without this. After weeding the desired area and making a sizable ditch, it is wise to go down to your local home and garden store to see what kind of materials, pond molds and other things that you’ll need for the garden to keep it well maintained and healthy even after you complete the project. Pond molds are black containers that are used to protect fish and other livestock from being contaminated but cement and soil that are used in the garden project.

A nice addition to a Japanese garden is not just a fish pond but also to furnish the pond with oriental style plants. Plants like reeds and short filler plants work extraordinarily well with the Japanese garden since these are very easy to maintain and don’t grow very fast.

These plants can be tied into the garden using small pots or flat stones. Pond stones can be purchased or if you live close to a stream you can find a great selection there also. Placing these flat rocks around the rim of the pond will took care of not just the oriental plants but also it will help keep the pond mold in the ditch more firmly in place.

Next up is the task of decorating the Japanese garden. With an actual Japanese garden, less is more. Because plans and rocks are very eye catching, too many of them will overcrowd the balance and take away from the garden as a whole so it’s best to limit the amount of plants and other ornaments like statues and statuettes. Another nice addition is a small Dojo house and an oriental statue, something that perhaps symbolizes peace or tranquility.

Absolutely everything you need for your Japanese garden can be found online but because of the popularity of these gardens in recent times many local home and garden stores carry a wide range of plants, ornaments, statues and other Oriental things that will complete your garden. Just remember that less truly is more and do leave a lot of space in between your decorative ornaments so that you don’t hide the beauty of your garden.

A Japanese garden is simple to make and it is relatively inexpensive. In fact with the right amount of looking around and creative thinking you can put together your very own low cost Japanese garden that looks like you imported it directly from Japan!

One Final Piece Of Advice: Get as many ideas as you can before starting any project so do visit home improvement ideas a site offering resources on issues like landscaping with rocks, laying ceramic tiles and even about low voltage landscape lighting fixtures.

Time Management Tools You Can Use Right Away

Time management tools can help you to better manage whatever amount of time you have available to you, to be more productive, create more time for work or even play.

Though we all may have the same amount of time in each day or work week, we can all benefit from using our time better and the right tools to do it.

Are these tools difficult to use? Expensive? Hard to get?

Not always. In fact, some of the best tools for time management you may already have, though they may be under-utilized, not in use, or in a place you might not think about.

Here are some time management tools you can start to use right this minute, or awfully close.

First off, a simple pencil and small notepad to jot down your schedule for the day is a great start. Write down for a few days what you are doing, when, and the amount of time it takes to complete those tasks. Then, make your goal to either stick to that time, or hopefully, get faster at completing them.

You can do this with your computer if you want, but frankly, I like having the small notebook, physically writing in it, carrying it with me.

The next simple tool on our list is the “Off Button”.

Yep.

Look around at the machines that can disturb or distract you. Look for that magic button, the one that says “On/Off” and set it to the off position. This can be phones, email, other computers and applications, your door ringer, television, or whatever. Turn it off, and keep it off during the time you have set aside for being productive.

Take a peek in the kitchen and you will likely find our next key tool, a simple countdown timer. Often these are called egg timers, and they have a little “ding” that goes off when the set time is finished. Set it for however many minutes you need to complete your next task, then get busy. Try to beat the “ding”! It can make you amazingly more productive, and can even be fun, like a game.

You also should have a clock easily visible from your work station. This clock needs to have a second hand. A clock that chimes on the hour is also a good choice. This constantly reminds you that time is moving and you need to keep moving along with it.

Remember though that like all tools, having them is just not enough. You do have to use them.

How Not To Kill Your Houseplants

Most of us, at one time or another, have tried our hand at owning a house plant or two. Some thumbs are naturally a little greener than others, however, you can easily learn how to better care for your potted companions if you haven’t been successful in the past. There are several common mistakes people make when it come to caring for houseplants — the following should help you along nicely.

The first important requirement is adequate light. Without it, you’ll have very little luck keeping your plants alive. Think ahead of time and determine where you’ll put your plants so they can enjoy as much sunlight as possible. You may even have to move some around throughout the day as the sun moves around your home but the effort will pay off in the long run.

Next comes water. This in itself sounds simple enough, but the key is to strike a balance. Next is fertilizer, and then good soil. Fertilizer for nutrients, and good soil for a healthy root system and a decrease in disease.

Many plants have died many horrible deaths at our hands, preventable ones at that. We usually end up killing them with kindness, or neglect. We’ll now dig a little deeper into how to stop killing your houseplants.

Over-watering is the most common problem for houseplants. It’s often just a case of not knowing the specific plants water requirements. It pays to find out which species need and how often. Most plants only need to be watered once every five days or so. Always feel the soil to make sure it actually needs water.

Under-watering is another offender. The fact that we live busy lives is usually the reason. If you can write yourself a note, or even delegate the task, even if it’s just checked every few days or so. You can even keep a vessel of water near the plants for convenience.

Poor soil quality, or the wrong type of soil is the next problem usually encountered. Some plants need different soil types then others. For instance, consider a cactus vs. a fern. A commercial potting soil is best to use for indoor planting. Stay away from soil from your garden, recycled soil and top soil. The main reason is a lack of proper nutrients, and potential disease lingering in the soil, especially garden soil. If you suspect a fungus problem, seek treatment immediately or it could spread.

Having your plants exposed to extreme temperatures can be a problem too. Never keep your plants on or close to heat sources, including vents and stoves. The same applies to cold extremes, so plants in window sills where frost lurks or in front of a fan are no-no’s. Some plants do well in the moisture of a bathroom though, such as a fern — so there are rare exceptions.

Lastly, over fertilizing your plants will surely kill them. In fact they’re better off not being fertilized at all. Always use a houseplant appropriate fertilizer too.

It’s relatively easy to take note of these plant saving tips. Adopt them into your routine, and you’ll have a house full of healthy, happy plants!

Positioning Yourself For Success

I’m going to tell you something in this article that few people will have the nerve to tell you. Ready? Sometimes, to make a huge amount of money online, you have to be lucky. Now, I’m not saying that you just sit around and wait for things to happen. This article will explain to you just what it is I am talking about. It’s called positioning yourself for success, and it may just be the most important thing you can, with all the work you actually put into your business.

What I am about to tell you is a true story. I am not going to mention any names or any products by name. But what I want you to get out of this article is how positioning yourself for success is sometimes the difference between a 4 and 5 figure income monthly, or more.

Seems this guy was running a home business. He was doing okay. He was making about 5 or 6 thousand a month. It took him quite a while to get to that point, but with a lot of hard work, he finally was making a comfortable living from inside his home, not that he was getting rich or anything like that.

Then, one day, something odd happened. This guy, who was starting to get to be fairly well known and respected among his peers, got an email from somebody who knew him from a forum. The email was short and to the point. The person doing the emailing wanted to know if the person receiving the email would be interested in a joint venture. Naturally, the person receiving the email said sure and asked the details.

Well, needless to say, the details were quite something. But the person who received the email couldn’t help but ask why he was approached with this offer, as it seemed to come out of nowhere. Well, it turned out that he was approached because of a review he had written on this other person’s product. The review went over so well because of its honesty, that the people who owned the product were interested if this guy had a product of his own. Well, when the person sending the email told his partners that this other guy did have his own product, they said they’d be interested in seeing it and doing something with it.

I’m going to end this story here. I don’t know if the joint venture went through or didn’t. What I do know is this. Because this guy worked hard, made friends, helped people by writing reviews for their products and basically thought of others before himself, he put himself in a position where he’d be respected by others and with that respect, came the offer for a joint venture.

Had this person not done everything he had done to put himself in this position, this JV offer may have never come through. Certainly if he had not done that review the JV offer would have at least been delayed.

Positioning yourself for success means making sure that you live each day to the fullest, doing everything you can to better yourself and your business.

Because sometimes you just have to be lucky to catch that one big break.

To YOUR Success,

Steven Wagenheim

I have certainly had my share of success. Tired of not getting anywhere online? Want to learn how to get to the point where you can be positioned for you own JV? For the New Mom - Diaper Bag Essentials

When it becomes time that you can take your little bundle of joy out and around the town, or even to visit with friends and relatives; it’s good to know some essential basics. Do you know the essentials of what should go in the diaper bag?

I have devised a small checklist of the most important items that should be carried with you and baby at all times. Some of these items may sound weird or unnecessary at the time, but believe me when I tell you, the oddest things can come in very handy when the need arises.

The first thing you need to do is make sure you have a good-sized diaper bag, not some small as a purse or even a large purse. Inside the diaper bag, you should have:

Diapers- (including a few extra than you think you will or may need).

Baby wipes- (make sure they are baby wipes and not just wet wipes. Baby wipes are larger, softer, and gentler on the baby).

Rash ointment- (rashes can pop up at any time out of the clear blue. It is always better to have the necessary remedy on hand, instead of waiting until a later time).

A medicine bag- (These can be purchased with some of the essentials already within them, or you can make your own. Just use a quart sized zipper bag and fill with these items: Baby Tylenol, Nail clippers, a thermometer, Nose syringe, medicine dropper, and travel size lotion and Vaseline).

Extra clothing- (It is always best to take along at least two more sets than you think you will need. Remember, it is always better to be over prepared than under prepared).

One or two extra bottles- If you are bottle-feeding make sure you have enough with you, with an extra one to spare. After all, you never know when you might just be out a little longer than planned).

Also pack within the diaper bag, cloths for burping. I found cloth diapers to be wonderful, because they can be used for more than one purpose. Cloth diapers are also great as a makeshift changing pad, placing them under the baby so as not to soil any surrounding areas. The cloth diapers make excellent burping cloths to put over your shoulder, because they absorb more liquid than a receiving blanket, and can also come in handy for strange spills or yucky happenings that can arise.

An added hint- (Keeping a couple of extra quart sized zipper bags in the bag can also come in quite handy in many ways. These bags can hold soiled diapers, if you have nowhere to dispose of one. They can also hold soiled clothing and burping cloths, so as not to return them directly to the clean items in the diaper bag).

Bring Back That Lovin’ Feeling

I’ve heard it so many times: “we just don’t have any time for each other,” or “we had so much fun together when we first started dating, and now it’s a big night if we go to bed at the same time.” So many couples get bogged down in daily life, and forget that relationships should be fun! We should enjoy our time with our significant other. There will always be daily hassles to deal with - you can’t avoid it. So it’s important to create that special time for your relationship, where you can re-connect and bring back that lovin’ feeling. And even though your relationship probably won’t include that overall feeling of excitement that it did in the beginning, there are a few things you can do to re- create those feelings from the early days when you couldn’t stop smiling:

1. Think about how you felt when you first started dating your significant other. Did you get butterflies in your stomach? Did you lie awake at night thinking about their cute little smile? Take yourself back to the days when they didn’t have any faults, when everything was brand new and the possibilities for your relationship were limitless. Just remembering this stage of your relationship will help bring you back to that “puppy love” frame of mind.

2. Schedule at least one “date night” during the week when you and your honey can have some alone time. Set aside an hour or two every week where certain topics are off limits: chores, work stress, ongoing relationship issues, etc. Use this time to talk about your plans for the future or to re-connect after a busy week. Don’t worry about where the date is - have a glass of wine together in the living room after the kids fall asleep, or schedule breakfast early on the weekends. The point is to make some time in your weekly routine for the positive things in your relationship.

3. Do something together that neither of you have done before. Go skydiving, explore a nearby town, go for a bike ride in a new area. Just doing something fresh and different wakes up your spirit in a way that your normal routine can’t. And experiencing this new event with your partner will help you associate excitement and fun with them.

The bottom line: don’t take your relationship for granted, and get creative. Every relationship goes through stages, and after the initial rush wears off, we just have to get a little resourceful when it comes to putting the magic back into our relationship. But it is possible to get those initial feelings of love and tenderness back - and it’s usually pretty fun! And it’s something that every happy couple needs to keep going. Good luck and have fun!

The Business Of Gift Baskets

Recent studies show that some 10 million plus home based businesses exist in the U.S alone. Within the top three are wholesale and retail trading, so creating and selling gift baskets would certainly be included in this group. This type of business would be especially attractive to an entrepreneur who would enjoy the freedom to express their creativity by assembling beautiful and unique gift baskets, in fact, this may be just the type of business that could work for you! There are already thousands of people providing this service, however, there are literally millions of busy people who rely on this kind of service, so there’s plenty of room for you in the gift basket business. Here are a few tips to help you get started!

The first step is to create your Business Objective by clearly outlining the ideal situation for your gift basket business. What is your vision? Brainstorming is helpful at this point, and once this is accomplished, break it all down and define it from there. Use all or your ideas to inspire you to really do it! To get started with your own home based business, it’s always wise to start small and create a short term plan for success, and develop this further with a long term plan? This helps to give you direction to take the required steps to actualize your dream of being a home based entrepreneur.

Next you’ll want to try to understand your client base. Who are your target clients? Will it be working moms between the ages of 30-45, or maybe single executive types with lots of money and little time, or maybe a combination of the two. If you keep your offerings stylish and classic, you’ll attract a wide array of clients who are drawn to the quality your products offer.

You’ll want to also know your competition. There’s a lot of them out there, but narrow it down to researching gift basket assembler websites with a similar vision as yours. Try to figure out how they’re successful, how they present themselves and learn from your research. Take what you admire, and bring it up to the next level of uniqueness and quality. It will help your business grow if you can add something that set’s you apart from the rest!

Think about the importance of marketing your product. Just because it’s a home based business it doesn’t mean you don’t need creative advertising ideas. This is an area that pays to invest time and money into since a large portion of your capital needs to be used for advertising and promotion! Direct mailing in your area is an excellent place to start, as is donating a couple of finished baskets, with business card attached, to local charities for raffles. For a wider client base, you might consider developing a website to show off your samples to a potential world wide audience. This will also help your business grow if you want to expand your client base and have the facilities to ship your product throughout the U.S. and Canada or even further if you’re really ambitious.

Always plan for ongoing client support. Your clients should still feel like you care, even after they’ve paid you. Be available for feedback which will help you figure out ways to ensure repeat business! People love a personal touch in a world that is increasingly impersonal.

These ideas should help to get you started being your own boss as a Gift Basket entrepreneur. Have confidence in yourself, have fun, and you’ll soon begin to earn your own income from home!

An Unsettled Life - Adjusting to Change

It’s been nearly 3 months since I left my long-term boyfriend, my puppy, my job and my home in Boston to move to Park City, UT. After years of trying to make a life that wasn’t mine fit like a square peg in a round hole, I finally decided to seek out a more fulfilling and authentic existence. I took a chance, left everything I knew, and have been trying to create a whole new life ever since. Has my experience (so far) changed me? Definitely. Has it been difficult? Absolutely. Would I do it all over again? In a heartbeat. And here’s why….

What I’ve Learned From Living an Unsettled Life:

1) It’s okay to receive help from others. Being an incredibly independent and self-sufficient person has its benefits. You feel like you have control over your life. You can do what you want. You feel confident that if need be, you can survive on your own…. But here’s the downside: that “I can do it myself” attitude doesn’t allow you to experience the connection that comes from simply receiving goodwill from someone else. Actually allowing someone to help you requires a little humility, which I’ve never really been all that comfortable with. To me, it’s always seemed easier to appear strong and capable, and to just do everything myself. But what I’ve learned is that humans are generally very generous people. It makes us feel good to lend a helping hand. And something I’ve missed over the years, as an Independent Wo-Man, was feeling that appreciation and gratitude when someone else helped me, just make my life a little easier. Receiving that sort of kindness from someone else has softened me in a good way.

2) You can’t always plan everything. You may remember an article I wrote a few months ago, entitled “Planners vs. Doers”. In that article, I described my need to make plans and organize my life down to every last detail. Making so many big changes all at once has actually taught me to “go with the flow” a little more. My natural inclination is to plan everything out, so I know what to expect. But lately the more I’ve tried to plan, the more my plans have failed miserably. So instead, I’ve been practicing just letting things unfold naturally, and responding to each moment as it comes up. I listen to my instincts a little more these days. As a result, my life is evolving in ways I never would have imagined.

3) It’s okay to be scared. There’s an excitement to re-creating your life. All of a sudden, anything is possible and the world is full of new opportunities. However, I’ve certainly had my share of days where I’ve wondered, “what was I thinking?!” Not knowing what’s going to happen next can be exciting at times, but it can also bring up a lot of fears. At first, I resisted feeling scared. I told myself to snap out of it and go do something productive to feel better. But one day I just decided to embrace the fear. I stopped trying to fix it, or talk myself out of it, or ignore it. I just allowed myself to be really scared. I accepted what I was feeling, and within a day or two, the excitement returned and I felt okay. I’m sure I’ll have more “off” days, but I’ve come to really appreciate the “off” days just as much as the “good” days. Those raw feelings indicate that I’m on a life-changing journey; one that is unpredictable, real and pure.

Would I like to be settled again one day? Sure… that sounds pretty nice, especially these days. But I’m also trying to appreciate this experience for what it is: a chance to explore who I really am and what I really want; a chance to test my limits a little; a chance to carve out a life for myself that makes me truly happy. We all have the ability to make great changes in our lives. The question is: how will you feel when you actually do it?

Finally - How to Get Google AdWords Pay-Per-Click Ads FREE

Hello,

Would you like the same secret one New York man has been using for nearly 8 years to get all his Google pay-per-click advertising but for FREE?

The man has already gotten for himself over $87 million in highly-targeted Google ads and other search engine advertising, but without having to pay for any of it.

He’s even made a fortune over $300 million as a result!

In the last 2 years alone he’s done more than $166 million in net earnings pushing his secret to the limit.

And he’s now willing to share this same exact secret with YOU!

This same secret has already allowed a handful of people to do as he’s done and make their fortunes online.

His secret is nothing illegal, has nothing to do with hacking, nor does it require you have a “friend” or family member working at Google or any other search engine.

Additionally this same secret can be readily and easily applied to any search engine that ordinarily accepts paid advertising for sponsored ads (such as Overture, MSN, Yahoo, MIVA, etc).

You will still have to set up an account with Google or use your existing one in order to do this. But using this secret you won’t have to pay for any of the advertising costs, and which means you earn far larger profits than otherwise had you been forced to pay for your advertising.

Also, it means you aren’t at nearly as much risk since you won’t be spending your money on Google ads (which have only become more and more expensive since Google went public a few years ago).

It also gives you these clear “cut-above” advantages:

-You’ll be able to deliberately outbid even your toughest competitor, but you won’t have to worry about paying for the clicks you get!

-You’ll be able to increase your daily budget higher than everyone else for the same keywords sets, and so your ads never get pulled because you reached any particular day’s limit.

-You’ll be able to use an unlimited number of keywords, and set up as many different or separate ad campaigns as you like, and bid however you wish, and with no restrictions on your daily budgets.

-You’ll therefore be able to *DOMINATE & MONOPOLIZE* any niche for whatever you’re selling, and get the TOP PREMIUM SPOTS for every single keyword or keyword phrase you use!

-You’ll be able to repeat this with an unlimited number of products you want to offer, so you can expand your online business to as many other Internet selling businesses as you like and without any fears or reservations!

-You’ll be able to apply all this whether you own your own site and product, or even if you’re an affiliate or reseller of someone else’s products!

As you can see this one secret alone makes everything possible!

Someone would have to hate “money” to refuse this secret.

And this brings up an important point: The man who now holds this secret and who’s spent the better part of the last 8 years perfecting and developing it is not going to keep it available to others forever.

Before releasing it he consulted Internet marketing experts, macroeconomists, market analysts, a business psychologist and even an “economics-sociologist” to be sure that such a release wouldn’t prove to make “lopsided” the online landscape.

He found out (ironically) that releasing his secret was actually *more* beneficial to Google and other search engines in that by allowing many advertisers to use his secret too it actually stimulates more business.

Strangely, and despite your best logic to the contrary, his secret does not diminish revenues from the search engines at all, but rather INCREASES them! (You’ll have to get his secret to know exactly why it works in this “opposite-from-what-one-might-expect” way!)

But, the New Englander is deliberately not going to keep his secret available for long - and note that whether he continues or discontinues its availability won’t affect his own personal fortune in the least as he’s already so rich ($300 million worth!) what’s another few million either way?

But whether or not he keeps it available or not WILL affect you as by not having it you must continue to pay like everybody else, but by having it at your fingertips you are licensed to monopolize and hugely profit from any marketplace online you choose!

So I hope you recognize both the value of this man’s secret as well as the immediacy and urgency for taking action now and forever securing it for yourself before it’s truly forever gone - and you therefore miss out on it for good!

Don’t let this happen … don’t make this mistake.

Instead, just go to the web address just below and make his secret (that made him over $300 million!) YOUR OWN! …

http://www.48hrlistings.com

You can thank yourself when you do,

D. Pearson

PS - Don’t let everybody else beat you to this! And absolutely do not let this pass you by. In a press release Monday the man said he was “shocked” by how much demand has already resulted and so he may be forced to withdraw his secret much, much sooner than he previously wanted to (wait at your own risk!) …

The Meaning of Dreams

The activity of the unconscious mind goes on all of the time whether we are aware of it or not. This activity includes many layers of perception that have to do with connecting the past and the present, the present and the future, and with integrating the meaning of events, emotions, and circumstances into our psychic structure and energy body.

Historically, what has been referred to as the ‘unconscious mind’ related primarily to repressed or suppressed emotions or attitudes that the watchful ego could not allow into everyday awareness. However, this is a limited perception of this sphere of activity, for in addition to suppression, the function of the unconscious mind is one of integration, understanding, and healing, each of which can result in new experiences for the psyche as well as old. Many of these new experiences occur during the dream state.

The unconscious mind includes thoughts and emotions that have not crossed over into daytime awareness, but it also includes perceptions and intuitions that have been barely noticed that are not yet held as valid by waking consciousness. Such perceptions run the gamut from subtle observations of things having to do with others that the waking self may not register - things such as the meaning of the body language that others display, the energetic and emotional effect of things people say, the interpretation of hidden motivations that one may witness - to intuitions that partake of a different reality altogether whose questioned validity has placed them in the realm of the unconscious rather than in the realm of everyday awareness. In this category are:

- perceptions of energies of different kinds

- messages from another aspect of the self

- guidance from beings from other realms,

- altered perceptions of reality that pierce through the outer layer of separation between objects and people, and

- a sense of the holy or sacred that may not yet be available to waking experience.

Also included in this category are ‘bleed-throughs’ or remembrances from other lifetimes and premonitions of things yet to come.

While many of these aspects of the unconscious mind remain hidden from daytime knowing, during sleep they are given greater permission to emerge since at this time the ego is less vigilant. Then, such things as guarded emotions or emotions that seem much stronger than what we are actually aware of feeling, appear, as do ideas and perceptions that may not have been given attention during the day. Furthermore, because of the greater relaxation of mental control during sleep, new experiences can occur that further the growth of the self and that create linkages with the soul and higher self. These experiences are not precisely dreams. Rather, they are events of a spiritual nature which open the doors to a multidimensional reality in which both self and outer reality can be perceived in a different way.

For example, there may be an experience that seems quite real of being in a foreign or unfamiliar environment and of meeting someone and receiving a message of instruction. Though the landscape of such an environment may be ordinary, the message that is received may not be. This can be an example of a translation of an other-dimensional experience of receiving guidance into the physical realm in a way that permits the embodied self to receive it. The meaning of the message remains, placed in a context that waking consciousness can hold and relate to. Such experiences of other-dimensional realities are more common today than previously, produced by the enhancement of light and the increased closeness of dimensions of a higher vibration to the one of physical reality.

In the end, the unconscious mind may be viewed as a river whose flow is connected to both the emotions that are felt during daily experience, and to the movement of learning that is part of the orchestration of the soul-level of our being. From this level, the soul continually seeks to bring its wisdom, knowledge, and love into the embodied state of our life. The movement toward growth initiated from the soul-level can result in dreams that are teaching tools as well as new experiences. When treated with respect and with an openness to learn from them that befits their sacred origin, we accelerate the emotional and spiritual growth that is central to our reason for being. We also move past more limited concepts of personal identity that may have been acquired in the past, into an open-ended, ever-expanding view of who we are and a greater awareness of the flow of life.
