Basics of Weight Balance

Some are looking to lose weight and others are looking to gain weight but maintaining weight is usually not talked about a lot. Staying at your target weight is always the end goal. Whether you’re trying to gain weight or lose weight, eventually you’ll need to stop.

Keeping your weight stable is a simple equation similar to losing or gaining. To maintain your weight, you need to eat the same amount of calories that you burn each day. If you start exercising more then you have to eat more calories or else you’ll start to lose weight. If you decrease your exercise level then you also have to lower the amount of food you eat or the weight will start to come on.

Your first step is to figure out how many calories you burn each day. Use the Daily Calorie Needs Calculator for an estimate. Based on your age, sex, weight, height and activity level, the calculator will give you an approximation of the amount of calories you burn each day.

Next, find out how many calories you are eating everyday. Count your calories for three days and take the average. The three days have to be typical of your regular diet.

You now have the amount of calories you burn and the number you eat each day. The only step left is to match these two numbers. You have three options to make the equalize the numbers. You can change your activity level (increase of decrease), you can change the amount you eat (increase or decrease) or you can do a combination of the two.

Practicing weight balance is about averaging your daily intake and daily expenditure of calories so that they’ll match over long periods of time (weeks, months). Don’t get caught up in trying to make them equal every single day. Concentrate on doing this over a weekly and monthly basis. One day of over eating won’t mess you up but a week or month will.

Is There More Than One Type Of Kissing?

Kissing has to be one of the best ways in the world to show good emotions. At this very moment I can’t think about a negative impact of kissing. Oh sure we have heard about bad kissers but even bad kissers don’t hurt any one.

There are a number of different ways to kiss. There are passionate, friendly, playful and many different variations of kisses. They all depend on moods and relationship of people. A quick kiss in the morning to say bye to your wife is very different then the kiss that is associated with a long night of passion. Kissing is probably the most intimate act in today’s society.

1.-French Kiss

Of course we have all heard of the French Kiss. It’s probably the most passionate and romantic kiss that can be exchanged by two lovers. Simply put a French Kiss is when two partners kiss with open mouths and their tongues touch. The partners use their tongues to explore each others mouths. They can play with each others tongues in many different kinds of ways.

2.-Surprise Kiss

This kiss is another passionate one but it’s designed to surprise your partner and to convey intensity. The time this kiss is used is when your lover is busy doing something. They can be working, studying or just be absorbed by something else when you walk up to them with no words exchanged you just start kissing them. The kiss is always a nice reminder of your love for your partner. Through out the kiss you can decide whether this kiss should go further or if you should just end it and let your partner get back to what they were doing.

3.-Lips Kiss

The lips kiss is another very romantic kiss but this one focuses on the lips instead of the inside of the mouth. This kiss can bring up huge passions in your partner. What is involved here is lightly biting and sucking on the lips. It could eventually lead to a French kiss if you want it to.

4.-Fast Kiss

This kiss is just meant as a quick reminder to your partner that you care about them. This kiss is usually used when each partner is in a hurry or they are headed some where. Personally this kiss is very important to me because it reassures me through the day that my lover will be there at the end of the day.

There, of course are no hard fast rules in the art of kissing. You and your partner will have your own ways of expressing your love to one another. It is however the most common form of showing love in the world so you can never go wrong by kissing your partner.

The Law of Attraction and the Armchair Golf Coach

The US Masters Golf Championship featured heavy TV coverage of Tiger Woods’s failed attempt to reclaim the title. (For non-golfers: the number one all-time champion failed to win in one of the Really Big tournaments). Sitting in my living room watching Tiger’s face crumple and lower lip tremble after his shots fell short, I urged him on with my Law of Attraction-inspired tips:

“Stay focussed Tiger. Don’t worry about the shots of the past, they’re already gone. Concentrate on what you DO want, not what you DO NOT want. Don’t beat yourself up with negative self-talk, it will only attract more rotten shots.”

Yes sirree, I sure felt smug and knowledgeable as I watched one of the most incredible athletes of the game succumb to his own mental diatribe. His face was a clear message of pain and misery, and it sure wasn’t helping his game. I swear he might have cried a little at the end when he conceded the tournament to the lesser-known contender.

When my husband invited me to a game of golf the next day, I accepted. How hard could it be? Being a successful golf player was all about focussing on what you do not want, releasing negativity, and being in the flow. I looked forward to doing on the golf course what Tiger clearly could not - controlling my thoughts and emotions to produce shot after perfect shot.

With my first swing at the ball, and then the next half a dozen that also failed to connect, I threw out all of my own advice. I was swearing and cursing like a hot-blooded sailor. How hard can it be to hit a ball with a stick?! One crappy shot after another and my eyes welled up with embarrassment, self-criticism, and all manner of deprecating mental imagery. This was not going as planned.

Golf is in essence an exercise in ego bruising. The more I swung and missed, the more I felt like a low-life scum-sucking bottom pond feeder. This was not going well. I suddenly felt some understanding and compassion for Tiger. Getting control of your emotions in front of millions of people is a pretty tall order. I was struggling just in front of my husband and in-laws.

Something had to change or I was in danger of having a full-blown tantrum. I listened to the advice of my very helpful companions. I decided to stop trying to hit the ball as far and as hard as I could. I decided to stop trying to be perfect.

And then it happened. I lined up the shot, set my hands as advised, stood where instructed, thought about the swing and using my hips. Just before I lifted the club to take the shot I felt the tickle of the breeze on my legs. It felt nice. I felt good. I remembered that who I was not about whether or not I could master playing golf, or whether I could hit a ball straight, or what my companions thought of me and my (lack of) skill; that breeze reminded me that life is about moments. You can feel good and go with the flow in spite of the circumstances, or you can fight it and try and force things to play out the way you think they should.

I let go of trying to impress. I swung the club and followed through with my hips and knees leading the way. The ball soared in to the air straight down the fairway. It was the first time I had ever hit the ball in this way. It was a great shot! More importantly however, I didn’t really care that I hit it so well. I simply enjoyed relaxing in to the feeling of being there, on the green, in the gentle afternoon sun, with the breeze on my legs. It felt good. I felt good. And that was what mattered.

The rest of the afternoon brought many other good shots, and plenty of duds as well. But the difference was that I wasn’t trying to prove anything anymore. I was simply enjoying the moment.

There are plenty of other times in my life when I have tried to be Numero Uno, be the best, run a perfect race, win the award, get the promotion. What I remember about those times, and what I felt resurface on the golf course, is that it felt hard. There was effort, and pain, and self-criticism. Sometimes the results came out the way I planned, and sometimes they did not. Either way, it was tough going.

Things are different these days. I play games a little differently. I focus on the moment, on what feels good, and let go of trying to be in control of everything, and in particular in control of the results. I still do my best, I put a lot of effort in to my coaching, my writing, and my sport, but the effort is about enjoying the process, loving who I am, in the moment, regardless of what happens around me. This is what is called being in the flow. It is a peaceful way to live. This is what living in to the Law of Attraction feels like: an absence of resistance. This is how I create a life of fun and freedom. And it feels good.

So if it takes a good thumping in a game of golf to remind me of what is really important, then bring it on.

3 Ways to Start Building Your Opt-In List

The light bulb has finally started flashing in your head and you realize that you need an opt-in list to make money on the Internet. You’ve read hundreds of articles on the subject and sought expert advice. You’ve head all the stories of people creating a profitable business with opt-in lists.

With that light bulb still flashing away you finally decide to do something about it - start a list of your own. But how do you get started? And better yet, how do you build a list big enough to generate an income from?

It can be pretty scary when you’re first starting out. Do you need a web site? An opt-in form? Should you use an autoresponder service or a script on your own site? How should you format the messages? How many should you send a week? The list goes on and on.

The answers to a lot of these questions will greatly depend on how experienced you are on the Internet. If you have no knowledge of CGI or PHP, then hosting your own script may not be an option. If you don’t know HTML or don’t have direct access to your on-line files, then editing your pages to insert the code for an opt-in form will not be possible.

These, unfortunately, are just some of the obstacles that you will need to overcome if you want to give this ‘Internet Thing’ a go. Having your own web site is almost a necessity. Without one, you would only be able to promote other people’s products (as they would have their own web sites for you to send traffic to through your affiliate links).

Below are three easy ways that you can use to start building your opt-in list:

- Offer a free report that contains links back to your web site or even includes an opt-in form on one of the main pages. You can also make it necessary for your visitors to fill out your opt-in form before they can access the report.

- Join some of the Fire Sales and Giveaways that other marketers are running (sometimes called Joint Ventures). Add your gift to the site and when visitors want to download your gift make them fill out your opt-in form first.

- Exchange ads with other opt-in list owners. You run an ad for them and they run an ad for you. Granted you probably won’t be able to join up with someone who has a huge list (as they won’t be getting much exposure in return) but if you can find other lists that are of a similar size to yours, you should be in with a chance.

Building a profitable opt-in list won’t happen overnight, but it will happen. Keep at it and be creative. Try things outside of the box; put a twist on an old idea. And most of all - be persistent.

How is Your Money Mojo?

Money is just like anything else - it is made of energy, it behaves as all energy does. All energy vibrates and is attracted to other energy of similar vibration.

The magic, or ‘mojo’, of attracting money is all about making sure your energy matches the energy of abundant money.

If you feel bad about money, then chances are you are repelling money and attracting more circumstances that perpetuate feeling bad about money, or feeling bad in general.

How can you start changing your money mojo?

First of all, you need to get in tune with what kind of thoughts, feelings, and vibrations you are currently experiencing around money. Take an inventory of your current thoughts and beliefs and emotions around money. Think about what you learned from your family about money. What kinds of behaviours, attitudes, and beliefs were reflected there for you to learn and absorb as a young person?

As you write your inventory, notice how these thoughts and beliefs make you feel. Do they feel good (exhilirated, excited, joyful, abundant) or do they make you feel bad (worried, troubled, resentful, frustrated)?

This is your gauge - if you feel bad more often than good about money, then you are attracting people, things, and circumstances that reflect that vibration.

Once you have an awareness about what is happening with your Money Mojo, you can then deliberately choose new beliefs, new feelings, and new thoughts around money that reflect more of what you truly desire (wealth, abundance, freedom).

Here is one simple way to boost your money mojo immediately:

Identify as many examples every day where money absolutely serves you well each day. Maybe it is that you have enough coins to put in the parking meter, or you have enough to buy a cup of coffee, or that you have enough to have clothes on your back (there is money in clothes, even if you did not buy them yourself), or maybe you find a spare coin in the couch (real evidence of the magic of money!)

When you tune in to how money is already working well and magically for you in your life, and you feel genuine appreciation for that, then you are changing your money calibration to ‘abundance’. You are generating positive vibrations, you are feeling good, and therefore it follows you will attract people, things, and circumstances that also make you feel good. This is how you start a positive tailspin into feeling good all the time (instead of a negative tailspin of doubt, stress, and worry).

Public Speaking As A Powerful Tool To Get Business

Believe it or not, I know dozens of people who have put off completing a college degree because they were afraid to take the dreaded public speaking class. I have met business owners who have avoided opportunities to present their products or services to potential prospects because they were terrified of getting up there in front of an audience. When I hear that, I want to both hug them and shake them at the same time. It’s ok to be nervous, but one of the fastest ways to grow your business is by public speaking and avoiding it is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. It’s so simple to develop a great presentation. Once you get out there and present it a few times, you’ll see how great speaking can be to help you get more people wanting to do business with you.

If you are the person in the front of the room sharing important information that your audience wants to hear, they will be excited to learn what you have to teach them. You have instant credibility just by being the person asked to speak as an expert on a particular issue. Further, when you’re finished, many in your audience will want to hear more. People will line up to talk to you because they want to know what you think about their personal story. Or they have an example they didn’t want to share in front of the group. What a perfect opportunity for you to begin developing a business relationship!

Not sure where to begin? Here are some tips to consider as you develop a presentation that will wow any audience and get them interested in doing business with you.

1. First, start off with something powerful that makes your audience sit up and think, “This is going to be good. I can’t wait to hear what’s next!” Known as an attention-getter, the first words out of your mouth are crucial to getting your audience interested and engaged with you right away.

2. Next, know and address your audience. Who is there? Be sure you’re speaking their language and addressing the topics your audience wants to hear. For example, if you’re a parenting coach be sure you share stories of your kids or kids you have known or parents you have helped. If you’re a computer or technical expert speaking to a room full of non-tech people, make sure you avoid any language that will confuse your audience and speak “plain English.”

3. Have no more than three to five main points, regardless of how much time you have to speak. This will help your audience follow along with you. If your topic has a lot of areas to cover, think about how you can combine several areas, or sub-points, under one main heading so that you still end up with three to five main points. Be sure to guide your audience through your speech using transitions, clearly moving from one area to the next as you present your information.

4. Make it interactive. Come up with a way that you can involve your audience in your presentation. One simple way to get the audience’s involvement is to asking for questions in between main points, which will also serve as a nice transition. Here are three questions to try: (1) “Before I move on to my next point, what questions do you have about my first main point?” (2) “Is there anything you were wondering while I was presenting that information?” (3) “What else would you like to know about my first main point?” You could also ask a question and look for a show of hands and then ask someone with her hand up about her experience with whatever it is you’re sharing.

5. Finish strong. After you’ve completed your final main point, review what you’ve presented and remind your audience of a couple of important details you shared. Now is the time to tell your audience about your product or service. Have a sign-up sheet (I always have multiple sign-up sheets) and offer to send anyone who signs up a free article, report, or e-course about your topic. People love free stuff and this is a way for them to continue to learn what you have to offer. After you make your offer, tie your final remarks back to your attention-getter. This will give your audience the feeling that you have taken them full-circle, you’ve shared all the important facts about your topic with them, and you’ve brought closure that makes sense.

While knowing how to put together a great speech won’t necessarily make you less nervous, that’s ok. Feel the fear and do it anyway. Once you take your show on the road a few times and you see for yourself the great results that come with giving a well-prepared, powerful presentation, you may even begin to like public speaking– and start to look forward to your next opportunity to excite an audience. By following these tips as you prepare your presentation, you’ll be well on your way to seeing more business from your next public speaking presentation.

Tenant Loans - Loans Without Collateral, Relief for Tenant

Tenant is no alien. He is as normal as any homeowner is and the only difference he bears with a homeowner is that he lives in other’s home as tenant. So, when in need he should be given equal facility but the problem with him is that he normally can not pledge any property as collateral for the loans. However, this is not a problem at all these days since tenant loans are totally pro tenant and do not require any collateral for the loans.

Tenant loans are quite popular among a large section of people who have got problems in placing collateral for their loans. Yet, there are misconceptions regarding tenant loans that they charge too high rates of interest. But, this is completely a wrong statement since the tight competition prevailing among the lenders in the market makes tenant loans cheap enough for the benefit of the tenant. You can have tenant loans of amounts ranging from £ 5000 to £ 25000 depending on your repayment capacity. And, tenant loans are open for all. People having bad credit records are also welcome to pocket tenant loans, yet, with slightly higher rates of interest. But, with tenant loans, bad credit holders can also improve his credit record because the regular repayment installments of tenant loans get counted in the credit record which ultimately results in a far better credit record.

However, tenant loans are available online which counts the most in the availability of these loans since they are cheap as well as fast online where most of the lenders remain flocking and thus make the competition tough which results in cheap rates. Tenant loans, with cheap rates and their facility without collateral are one of the best loans available to the tenant. They remove one of the biggest headaches of tenant, the headache of collateral.

Surveillance Camera Systems - Preserving the Integrity of Gaming Tables

The better the gambler, the worse the man, wrote Publius Syrus, and all casino owners, from Nevada to Monte Carlo believe him. In fact, they believe him so well that they do not just put watchers and security officers near tables, they put up surveillance camera systems, too.

It is unheard of for casinos not to have surveillance camera systems. After all, fortunes, big or small, are lost and won in the space of seconds inside casinos. With so much money at stake, casino owners and managers therefore anticipate the worst sides of human nature to surface. There will always be people who will try to beat the odds by cheating the house; and what better way to catch these people than through surveillance camera systems? These watchers never sleep, never blink, and never get distracted by a scantily clad woman, for example, or a brawl that erupted in one of the tables.

Cheating the House
Winning is addictive, and money even more so. Not surprisingly, hordes of players try to cheat at the gaming tables. The trick range from palming of chips and switching of cards to rigging games with the use of electronic devices. In 1998, Dennis McAndrew and his associates pled guilty to slot machine fraud. He and his companions had used hand-held devices to program slot machines and ensure a win each time they play. They won almost $17 million before the operation’s ringleader, McAndrew, was apprehended.

Stricter Security after the McAndrew Scam
After the discovery of the McAndrew scam, the gaming industry redoubled its efforts to restore their credibility. Most beefed up their security measures and had state-of-the-art surveillance camera systems installed. Cameras now monitor not just gaming tables but also escalators, elevators, retail stores, and hallways. With the exception of restrooms, just about every area in a casino, or a hotel with a casino, is put under strict surveillance. Additionally, cameras guard both front and back entrances of casinos.

Other casinos also integrate to their surveillance camera systems a means for asset tracking. Wireless motion sensors are attached to gaming machines and any attempt to move these will trigger an alarm.

Regulations on Use of Surveillance Camera Systems
Gaming commissions now recognize the value of integrating surveillance camera systems with risk management. The federal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) specify 20 frames per second as the minimum recording speed of surveillance camera systems. Moreover, it specifies that all captured images be of sufficient clarity.

Gaming commissions, however, are not at all certain images captured in surveillance systems will be admissible in court. Most industry experts and gaming boards believe DVR evidence will be acceptable, but a case is yet to prove or disprove this.

Still, gaming commissions continue to prescribe the use of surveillance camera systems. After all, no matter how sophisticated gaming joints’ surveillance camera systems may be, or how painstakingly each camera monitors every inch of the gaming floors, or how many personnel scrutinize the goings-on of each table, there will always be someone who tries to beat the system. Frequently, they fail and get caught. Every now and then, one succeeds and actually makes money out of a scam. With surveillance camera systems, however, apprehending con artists becomes a question of when, not if.
