The Real Truth About Prostate Problems

Once everything is set up and ready to go you need to drive traffic to your squeeze page and this is where most beginners come unstuck. This needn’t be the case as long as you realise that there is work involved.

One of the biggest questions from somebody who is new to making money online is ‘how long will it take?’

It’s a difficult question to answer as people start from different points and work different numbers of hours. Assuming that your site is researched and set up the answer is that is doesn’t have to take very long at all.

What you do is include links to your site in the resource or ‘bio’ box at the end of each article which invites a reader of the article to click through to your site or squeeze page.

If you think about this process logically you will be able to see why this type of marketing is a strong way to list build.

Firstly, a reader of your article will have an interest about what they are reading or they simply wouldn’t be reading it! If they read the whole article and click a link in your bio box you can assume that they liked the style of your writing and wanted to find out more information from you on the topic.

Providing that you’ve written something related to your niche and your squeeze page is congruent with this niche then the chances are that they will enter their name and email address in exchange for your incentive.

I know that sounds simple - and it is - but only if you have done your initial research and kept the whole of your list building design based around a tight niche.

Secrets of a Successful Marketing Partnership

I recently received an interesting e-mail from a gentleman in the UK asking if marketing partnerships really work. He had approached a number of potential partners and many expressed interest in forming partnership, yet nothing got done.

There seems to be quite a bit of interest right now in marketing partnerships. It is about time. Businesses can set up and implement very successful partnerships, but the process is long-term. Partnerships do not generally produce significant results quickly.

What A Marketing Partnership Is

A marketing partnership involves two or more professionals, companies or salespeople who have common prospects, similar marketing needs, and possibly complementary services. These entities join forces for mutual marketing and sales, usually within a specific market sector or for specific prospects. This does not mean they lose their individual identity. More than likely, each will continue to market and sell outside the partnership.

Marketing activities may involve:
–Creating joint marketing materials
–Joint direct mail, e-mail or advertising campaigns
–Joint sales calls
–Referring of prospects
–Possibly even combining services, talents and assets to create new services

An example of a potential marketing partnership would be an accountant, estate attorney, financial planner, and insurance agent. By combining forces, these professionals can, at least in theory, coordinate and help guide an individual’s affairs without the potential of conflict, jealousy, or competition. And, again, each individual professional benefits from wider exposure, more referrals, and marketing that is more efficient.

Virtually every professional and company has opportunities to create marketing partnerships. Although the most visible partnerships involve large, publicly traded companies, partnerships offer tremendous potential for even the smallest of companies or single practitioners.

What A Marketing Partnership Is Not

A marketing partnership is neither a quick fix for sales problems, nor a way to eliminate the burden of marketing and sales.

Although some marketing partnerships may be elaborate formal legal entities, most, especially with smaller companies and individual practitioners, are informal devices that enhance each partner’s marketing reach–their combined efforts allow both partners to meet prospects’ needs they may not have otherwise been able to meet individually.

In a partnership both parties must assume responsibility for marketing the joint venture. A partner who expects to ride the back of the other partner will quickly find himself alone.

When considering a partnership, there are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Your Partners Help Define Your Reputation And Position

When you enter a marketing partnership, whom you choose to join forces with directly impacts your sphere of influence, marketing potential and reputation. Each partner’s reputation “rubs off” on the other. In addition, your marketing reach is enhanced-or limited-by the other side’s.

Consequently, you should take care when approaching someone as a partner. As the initiator, you have the advantage of choosing providers you want to join forces with. Since the ball is in your court, pair with businesses that have the reputation you want for yourself and the market reach you desire.

Careful selection of partners can rapidly establish a relatively new company or professional as an expert or serious player within their local industry. Likewise, poorly selected partners can just as quickly damage a reputation.

2. Partners Want Real Value From The Partnership

When you initiate a marketing partnership, the professionals and companies you approach will want to see results before they become enthused. You will have to sell them on the idea that the partnership will produce real benefit for them, not just for you. In addition, they will not want a new free “soft” service to provide their customers. They will want a real profit benefit.

So approaching them with the idea that they can refer a client with a need to you and thus provide a “service” to their client will not cut it. The partnership must offer them bottom-line dollars. Even then, they will not fully participate until they have experienced some benefit and see that it works. That means you must be prepared to give before you receive.

3. Your Commitment is Key

As the initiator of the partnership, you not only have the luxury of approaching those potential partners you believe will enhance your status, reputation and business potential, but you also must assume responsibility for its success. You will have to do the vast majority of work, at least at first. You will be dealing with people who may like the concept and want it to work, but they will be skeptical. You will have to carry the ball and show them that you are committed to the partnership-and, again, that it will produce results.

The quickest way to achieve full buy-in of partners is to have a client or two ready to go as soon as your partner prospect agree to the partnership. Nothing gets the attention of a new partner like immediate business–and it demonstrates that you are serious in your commitment to them and not simply looking to mooch off their business.

Many, if not most, marketing partnerships fail to live up to their promise because the initiating partner forms the partnership with unrealistic expectations. If you are looking for a quick fix to sales problems, an “easy” way to get business, or are looking for a one-way referral connection, a marketing partnership is not the answer.

Nevertheless, if you are committed to building a long-term partnership that can vastly increase the prospecting and marketing capabilities for all concerned–and eventually the sales pipeline–a well constructed marketing partnership can work wonders.

List Building – The Beginner’s Guide To List Building Part 4 of 5

You have a choice when deciding on what type of auto responder to use. You can use a hosted service, host software on your own hosting account or use software on your own computer. I would recommend that you opt for a paid service for a number of reasons:

1. You need the least amount of technical knowledge to set up your account.

2. The more well known companies back up regularly.

3. You should get higher rates of delivery.

4. You can probably achieve a higher percentage of up time.

With a paid service you will also normally be able to create an unlimited amount of responders or lists and follow up messages. This will mean that you can build multiple related lists and track where you get the best responses and money.

Once you have set up your responder you will then need to create your web pages. The absolute minimum that you can set up is a single web page. This will be the page that your visitors will use to opt-in to your list. This page is called a ’squeeze’ page.

There is a lot of debate over exactly what should be included in your squeeze pages and you will want to test different elements to determine what works best for you and your niche. Most people agree that you should include all of the following 4 elements:

1. A Headline

This would normally be eye catching and immediately obvious as to what you’re offering. Using quantifiable text will also help. So for example instead of writing “Get a free course on tying flies” you would use something like “Learn to tie expert flies that catch tons of fish in just 5 days”.

2. A Strap Line

This is normally a single sentence that qualifies your headline and leads your visitor into your page.

3. A Bulleted List Of Benefits Of Your Course.

It is important that you provide the benefits and not the features of your course here. You need to answer the WIIFM (what’s in it for me) question here.

4. A Simple Opt-In Form

I have found that by sticking to just the name and email of a subscriber increases the opt-in rates.

Optional elements of the squeeze page include adding audio and video, images and information about privacy and CAN-Spam compliance. I would recommend that you create a number of different pages where people can opt-in and then measuring which provides the best rate of sign ups. Once you have this best page you can then change one element of it across multiple pages and keep doing this, thereby always improving your sign up rates.

I would also recommend that you build a second page which will be the page that your subscriber is forwarded to after they subscribe to your list. This way you can tell them to check their email and click the verification link to confirm their subscription. This way you can also have an immediate chance of selling something - and although the buy rate may not be as good as when your list knows you, this may pay for your advertising costs.

List Building – The Beginner’s Guide To List Building Part 3 of 5

Once you have chosen the sector that you want to operate in you want to narrow down to a niche area. Let’s say for example you wanted to build a list around people who are interested in fishing. There are a number of different things related to fishing, saltwater fishing, freshwater fishing, care of rods, fly fishing and so on.

Do more keyword research and decide on a specific area. For example you may focus on tying flies for fly fishing. Everyone who fly fishes is a potential member of your list but you are focusing on just one aspect.

Once you have narrowed down to this type of niche you need to work out the process in which you will capture the names and email addresses and lead the subscriber to becoming a customer. The whole process should be easy for someone to understand and complete. This is normally achieved by keeping the content congruent and using a quality auto responder.

The process I have found that works best for me is to post content related to my niche in article directories, blogs or other traffic sources with a link to my website. I use an opt-in form on my site which provides an incentive for people input their name and email address. Any products I then recommend to the list will be related to this niche.

I normally start this process by creating the incentive that I will use to persuade people to provide me with their names and emails. You’ll find that common incentives are always in the form of information and are normally a short email course or downloadable ebook or a combination of the two.

It is easier to create an email course and this is what I would recommend if this is your first attempt at list building. It is important that you create the course for the exact type of person that you’re targeting and that you create useful and valuable content for the reader. This is your opportunity to start what will hopefully be a long and fruitful relationship with your subscribers and you should aim to build high levels of trust and credibility as quickly as possible.

Pick a course title and create around 5 to 7 sub-headings that will form the essence of your course. You should aim to write around 400-500 words for each part of your course. Once your course is created you then need to load the course into your auto responder.

Ideally you would make a note of all the potential ideas that you can think of. This list of ideas should be based around topics that you are passionate about, can talk about or are really interested in. The reasons for this are that you will need to ’speak’ to your list in the emails that you send them, educating your list and giving them a reason to stay on your list.

Once you have all of your potential ideas down on paper (or in a word processing document) you will then need to do some research into the potential profitability of your ideas. You shouldn’t guess this part as your whole future list building activities will revolve around this niche. If it isn’t potentially profitable then there will not be any money in it for you and you will end up doing a lot of work for nothing.

You should research the potential profitability by utilising a keyword research tool and have a choice between software and an online service. Whichever you decide you will need to find actual search terms that people are searching for in the search engines and ensure that there are a sufficient number of people looking for information related to your niche. Providing that there are sufficient quantities of people looking for this information then there is the potential to build a list and make money from it.

Exactly how hard it will be to do this will depend on how much competition there is in your chosen niche and a good keyword tool will provide you with this type of information. I wouldn’t let competition make the decision as to whether or not I operated in a niche as it is far more important that you create fresh content that your visitors will like. In fact I would be more worried if there wasn’t any competition in a niche as most things have already been done to some degree.
