Find The Best Way To Make Stress Go Away

Feeling too many pressures on you? Do you suffer from sleep deprivation because you are constantly thinking about tests or pending reports? If so, it means you are stressed. There are sometimes when stress can be of some help, from a certain point of view, because it can encourage you to meet a deadline or get things done. But, if you are stressed too often or for a long period of time there is a higher risk of suffering from diseases like depression, heart disease and problems like that.

Stress is a feeling that manifests when we react to some events, as we get ready to face a challenge with focus, energy and increased alertness. Our body responds to events that cause stress by activating the nervous system and making us experience some inner changes that allow us to react quickly and effectively to handle the pressure of the moment.

This stress response can manifest in a mild form when you feel pressure but there’s no danger like when you have a big dance or a final exam, helping keep you on your toes and then your nervous system returns to normal. There are also long-term events such as going through a divorce or moving to a new neighbourhood that can cause a lasting low-level stress that’s hard on people. The nervous system keeps sensing pressure and that person feels overwhelmed because he or she can not get stress relief.

What can we do then?

We have to learn how to manage the stress that comes with each challenge and use these new stress management techniques regularly so we can keep stress symptoms under control. Some good examples are: avoiding overscheduling, being realistic and not trying to be perfect. But the most important recommendation is to get a good night’s sleep. This helps you to have good physical and mental performance, so you can deal better with events that cause you stress. That’s why you must get all the hours of sleep you need. And here’s where a product like Sleepatil shows how useful it can be.

Sleepatil is an all-natural herbal supplement created to calm and ease your body so you can have quality sleep. It has been designed to boost your melatonin level so you can relax and get a full night’s sleep reducing your stress level. Forex Daily Market Report 04-16-2007

Weekend Action
Traders were eagerly anticipating the weekend’s G7 meeting, specifically any comments made regarding the Japanese Yen and its continued weakness. The G7’s failure to comment specifically on the Yen’s situation was seen as an indication that there is no planned intervention from any of the world’s major central banks to increase the strength of the Yen against their respective domestic currencies. To add further fuel to this fire (and the strength of EURJPY) Dutch Central Bank Governor Wellink was quoted as saying “a strong euro is in the interest of Europe” which seems to suggest the Eurozone is comfortable with Euro strength against the US Dollar and the Japanese Yen.

Today’s Action
EURJPY continued its recent upward momentum by making new all-time highs. This price action was heavily fuelled by the market commentary as mentioned above. In recent weeks we have seen a return to the popularity of carry trades as speculation increases that the Euro and GBP may benefit from further rate hikes throughout the year while the Yen is unlikely to see any such boost.
Today was also a big day for GBPUSD as it made new 15 year highs. Longer term this move is due to potential BoE rate hikes and the likelihood that the US rate will remain at its current level for some while.

Market Focus
Today’s market focus was centred on UK PPI Input (1.2% mom, 0.9% expected, yoy 0.7%) and PPI Output (0.6% mom, 0.3% expected, yoy 2.9% - highest since June 2006) data. The market saw this as evidence of a likely rate hike during Q2 and spurred GBPUSD up to a high of 1.9940. Later in the day we saw stronger than expected US retail figures (Retail Sales 0.7% vs 0.4% expected, Core Retail Sales 0.8% vs 0.8% expected) however Empire State Manufacturing data was seen as disappointing (3.8 vs 7.5 expected). There was a further set of unexpected data from the US as TICs Capital flow made an unexpected fall to $58.1B vs a forecast number of $80.5B.

In Europe we had EUR CPI slightly up on expectations (0.7% vs 0.6% mom expected, 1.9% yoy) and German CPI in as expected at 0.3% mom.

Tomorrow’s Focus
Tomorrow we will see UK yoy CPI data in the front seat with the core figure attracting special attention during the morning session. Later in the day the US releases its monthly CPI figures.
There will also be Swiss retail sales (yoy), ZEW Economic Sentiment, US Housing Starts US Industrial Production & US Capacity Utilization to keep traders busy. Over the following night New Zealand CPI data will be closely watched.

Good trading to all tomorrow.

Where Have All The Corner Mail Boxes Gone? Identity Theft

Have you ever had a credit card stolen? Have you ever had your wallet stolen? Have you ever had your identity stolen? Do you feel if you mailbox is safe if unlocked? If you have answered yes or no to any of the questions, read on.

I lived in an apartment complex where the mail boxes were locked. I felt relieved and stress free. I did not have to worry about some strange person stealing my mail in the dead of night.

Now I live in a complex where the mail boxes are not locked. If I want a locked mailbox I have to pay for the privilege at my local Post Office.

With identity theft on the rampage what happened to the corner mail box? We have so few choices in our mail system. Either use a mail slot that opens directly into your home or garage or use your unlocked mailbox.

I want to know this, WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE CORNER MAIL BOXES? Those were the safest. I walked across the street to use by corner mail box. Guess what it wasn’t there! I know that the post office has to save money but identity theft is obtained from somebody stealing mail from your mailbox.

Instead of the post office removing the corner mail boxes we need more. We have to have someway we can feel that our mail is safe arriving and leaving. The Federal Post Office is not on every corner, therefore, not convenient for everyone.

If we can put a lock on our own private mail boxes do it! If you can have a mail slit directly into your home or garage do it! But there are many of us with which this is not an option. Then get a P.O. Box at your local post office. We must protect ourselves and our families.

Thank for reading my article. Please feel free to read any of my other numerous articles on various subjects.

Add Luxury to Your Backyard with a Hot Tub Gazebo

Would you like to have a private area in your backyard for relaxation? Consider adding a hot tub gazebo. A hot tub gazebo can provide you with a place for day or night luxury as well as a beautiful decoration for your yard.

A hot tub gazebo is becoming a popular backyard addition to many homes. A hot tub gazebo is exactly what the name implies: it is a gazebo that encompasses a hot tub. A hot tub gazebo can be constructed in any shape that a traditional gazebo comes in. It can have a round appearance by being six or eight sided, or a square or rectangular appearance by being four sided. The shape you choose for your hot tub gazebo is a matter of preference.

If you have an existing hot tub and would like to enclose it with a gazebo, it is possible. There are kits available for doing just this. The best shape for your hot tub gazebo in this case would be to match it to the shape of your hot tub. For example, if your hot tub is round, you should choose the hexagon or octagon shaped hot tub gazebo rather than a square design.

So what are the advantages of a hot tub gazebo over a plain hot tub? A hot tub gazebo makes it possible to use your hot tub regardless of the weather since it is enclosed in a structure. Another advantage is the privacy that you are able to enjoy in your hot tub with a hot tub gazebo.

Be sure to learn more about the advantages that a hot tub gazebo can offer you.

Short Sleeves Insights - My Mind Can Climb Mountains!

“O the mind, mind has mountains; cliffs of fall frightful, sheer, no-man-fathomed. Hold them cheap may who ne’er hung there.” That is the Jesuit priest, Gerard Manley Hopkins poem from; “No worst, there is none,” written in 1885. He was a professor of Greek literature at the University College Of Dublin. He was plagued with anguish most of his life and was thought to suffer from manic depression. As you can see from his work, he did struggle with his own demons. He died in 1889 of typhoid fever.

The struggle to understand how we think is an everyday event for many people. I, at times, make perfect sense of my thoughts, and then there is a frightful cliff in front of me, that beckons me to jump. In the course of choosing the probabilities that my thoughts present to me, I experience life. I can believe in all kinds of things and experience them, the list is long, varied, and never ending. Within my mind is a world waiting to be lived. I do play the lead role in that drama, and set the stage for the expression of physical desires. I do have help in becoming this expression, there are many aspects of my consciousness, that assist me in achieving my goal.

The goal is the mystery, we all want to solve. Gerard chose his road, by living in fear, anguish and depression. His choices wrote his epitaph and his poetry defined his existence. He still got to the goal line and scored in death. The lesson to learn from his path is, it’s only one path and it can be as hard or as easy as we make it, depending on the thoughts we create. Free will is one of the tools we all use.

All of the stories and tales written in history, do act as a beacon, to guide me on my own journey. I can learn and grow from the stories of others, as well as the story I’m creating. It is all connected thought, innate knowledge that appears as outward unrelated events, but it is very much a part of who I am. It is my decision to pull from this pool of knowledge and become a grander version of myself in this lifetime. I can use any or all the information that is placed before me to achieve my goal, long before death. I can reconnect to my inner vault of knowing to experience myself not only physically, but spiritually as well. I can unite my thoughts, so they include all life and live as part of it, not separated by it. I can feel the love of my creator in every breath I take. I can do all that, by believing there is more to me than just a mind. My mind is one tool in the toolbox of consciousness. By expanding it, I open myself and feel more probabilities for me to express and become. I move into a new dimension, that is not confined to time and space. I begin to understand a part of the mystery, and live it.

As William Blake said; “He who desires but acts not, breeds pestilence.” My desire is to act, to reunite my mind with my spirit, and experience the joy that is freedom, now.

When Digital Print Enlargements are Considered

Digital photos can be viewed on computer screens or printed on paper. Most of the time you are most likely to print on standard paper sizes like 4X6 or 5X7. Every now and then however you might want to make enlargements of some photos that you specially care about. Print enlargements quality depends on your digital camera mega pixels figure, here is how.

Every digital photo that you take with your camera has a certain resolution normally expressed as the number of pixels in the photo or sometimes as two numbers depicting the number of pixels over the X axis and the number of the Y axis (multiplying these two numbers provides the total number of pixels in the digital photo).

When you print digital photos you are really printing those digital pixels on paper. If the paper size is very big relative to the digital photo resolution the result will be a poor quality print. One of the most noticeable results of such poor quality is your ability to actually see the individual pixels on the print also known as pixelization.

So how can you determine what is the maximum print enlargement that you can make from a certain digital photo? There is no one precise answer. In addition to the actual number of pixels in the photo there are other things that can influence the answer like how many details are in the photo, what were the lighting conditions and more. Even when considering the number of pixels the answer is not precise since different people would have different views about the quality of a photo print.

A rough estimation of what comprises a good print quality is based on the pixels density or in other words the number of pixels per inch on the printed photo. This is also known as PPI (pixels per inch) and it represents the number of pixels over an axis line.

Experiments show that the following qualities are usually associated with a specific PPI number:

PPI 100 - fair to bad

PPI 200 - good

PPI 300 and up - very good

The next logical step would be to figure out how many mega pixels are needed for good quality printing on a specific paper size. Fortunately calculating this number is very easy. To do that all you need to do is to simply multiply the page length by its width in inches. The result is the number of square inches on the page. Next multiply this number by the square of the PPI number and the result is the number of pixels on the page which is the number of pixels we want our source photo to have. Here are the numbers calculated for some common sizes (for 100,200 and 300 PPI respectively):

page 4X6 0.24MP 1MP 2MP

page 5X7 0.35MP 1.5MP 3MP

page 8X10 0.8MP 3MP 7MP

page 11X14 1.5MP 6MP 14MP

page 16X20 3MP 12MP 28MP

page 20X30 6MP 24MP 54MP

This table is just an estimation of what is considered suitable number of mega pixels for different paper sizes. There are many other factors to consider when making enlargements. Experimenting with different paper sizes is the best way to go but it can be expensive. In addition sometimes what is considered poor quality pixelization can actually be a nice artistic effect which strengthen the unfortunate fact that in addition to the above calculation some common sense and experience are needed in order to match a specific digital photo to a specific paper size enlargement.

The Three Worst Marketing Mistakes You Can Make

Marketing is what we do that puts us in a position to make a sale. Good marketing makes selling easier. Bad marketing may make selling impossible.

We market to strangers so some of them will raise their hand with at least potential interest in what we have on offer.

We market to our clients and customers in order to move them up to the next level of products or services.

Most of us put a lot of time, money, and effort into marketing. For must of us it is the key activity we use to differentiate ourselves from our competitors.

But when we don’t deliver on the promises we make in our marketing we unleash the deadly 3/33 viruses on ourselves.

The 3/33 virus will destroy the marketing we have done in the past and it will make it very difficult to successfully market - at least to some prospects - in the future. And for the most part the 3/33 virus is a do-it-to-yourself process.

The 3/33 virus is word of mouth marketing on steroids - in reverse. Here’s how it works.

When you fulfill a promise, deliver excellent service, come in under budget, and save your customer more money than you said you would - they might tell 3 people. And that usually is because you asked them for referrals.

But if you screw up, don’t do what you said you would do, or fail to deliver in any way - in your customer’s mind - they will tell at least 33 people. This can be disaster.

You know I am speaking the truth. Remember the last time you got poor service in a restaurant and how many people you went out of your way to tell about it?

Here are three ways to guarantee that all the marketing you’ve done will backfire on you.

1. Don’t Do What You Said You’d Do
In 2006 I met the author of a marketing book at the Search Engine Strategies event in New York City. I had been receiving his email newsletter and had heard a few things about the book. A table where he could autograph books had been set up for him at the Search Engine Strategies meeting. When there was no one around I approached him and found him to be a very insightful person, someone whose book would probably be of value to our readers.

He offered to send me a review copy and I thanked him. After the event I emailed him a note with my mailing address. I never received the book. I received several emails to the address I had given him, but they were solicitations sent to everyone he’d come across at the search engine event.

I don’t know if he never intended to follow up with his promise, or if he turner it over to someone else, or what. The bottom line is that I will never have anything positive to say about him, his organization, or his book. That can’t be what this marketer had in mind when he went to the time, trouble, and energy to come to New York.

2. Disappear With Your Customer’s Money
The Internet makes it possible to hire people you will never see to do something you can not do and really have no way of knowing it will work until it’s too late, and pay them via your PayPal account before they’d even begun to do the work.

I have done this several times without incident. Recently however I hired someone, on the strength of another person’s recommendation, who kept my money and disappeared. He had promised to do the work within 48 hours of receiving my payment. But instead I heard nothing from him for six weeks, at which point he contacted me to see if there was some way to make up for his failure to follow through.

I was astounded, but since I’d already paid him I asked him to do something that was worth less than half of what he’d already been paid. Hey, we all deserve a second chance. What happened? Nothing, I never heard from him again.

It’s hard to say if I would have ever needed his services in the future anyway - so it was just a tedious time consuming event for me, getting someone else to do the job and so forth. But what did it do to the relationship I had had with the person who recommended him?

This was someone I trusted. Now I have to think twice about anything he has to sell me. And I am not going to tell my friends to do business with him in the future. Why would I take the chance he will recommend something or someone whose lack of performance comes back to bite me?

3. Embarrass Your Boss
Everybody’s got to serve somebody was a line in one of Bob Dylan’s songs. So no matter who you are or the position you have in your outfit - you do have a boss, maybe many of them.

Prior to events where I am registered as part of the media horde, I receive a stream of emails from companies that are making presentations or have exhibits there. A week before the 2007 Search Engine Strategies meeting in New York I received an interview request from the PR firm representing an organization I wanted to learn more about.

Actually I received three emails from them, each with open time slots, so I could chose one of the remaining times for the interview.

This is the way it’s always done. By the time I get to the site I have several one on one interviews set up with people whose message, I think, will be of value to our readers. So I emailed my choice of day and time, from one of the remaining time slots.

In this case however, the PR person never go back to me. How was that possible, that was his job?

I was curious about the lack of follow up, from a PR person no less, so I printed out the email I’d sent and took it along with me to the meeting.

On the second day of the search engine conference I scoured the exhibit halls and eventually found the person I had wanted to interview. I still wanted to talk with him if we could work out the time.

You can imagine his response to my story and the copy of my email when I presented it to him.

You can also guess the fate of the PR firm who had mishandled their account. It seems I was not the only person affected by this - one of whom was an industry leader the boss really wanted to meet.

So, who’s your boss? Whose opinions are important to you? Who do you serve? Are you doing everything you can and more to make sure you aren’t disappointing or embarrassing them?

How can you be sure to avoid the three worst marketing mistakes? Only make promises you can keep, and keep the ones you make. It’s as simple as that.

RV Spring Check Up

It’s that time of year again; time to get ready for another great camping season. We need to wake the RV up from its deep winter sleep and give it a good spring check up. If we take a little time and check everything out now, the RV will be ready to go when you’re ready to hit the road. In the military this is referred to as preventive maintenance. Maintenance you can perform on your RV before a problem exists. Maintenance designed to prevent or identify potential problems that could lead to mechanical breakdown, malfunction or failure of a component or system on your RV. Basically it consists of cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, adjusting and servicing your RV. Let’s get started.

*Depending on how your unit was winterized it will need to be de-winterized. If you used non-toxic RV antifreeze you need to run fresh water through the entire system until the antifreeze is gone. To remove it from the 12-volt water pump add water to the fresh water-holding tank, turn the pump on and open all of the water faucets. When the antifreeze is out of the system turn the pump off and take the water heater out of the by-pass mode (if applicable). Replace any water filter cartridges you removed for storage.

*At this point I like to sanitize the water system. Make sure all of the drains are closed and drain plugs are installed. Take a quarter cup of household bleach for every fifteen gallons of water your fresh water tank holds. Mix the bleach with water into a one-gallon container and pour it in to the fresh water holding tank. Fill the fresh water holding tank completely full of water. Turn the pump on and run water through each hot and cold faucet, until you smell the bleach. Close the faucets and let it sit for twelve minutes. Drain all of the water and re-fill the tank with fresh water. Turn the pump on and open all faucets until you no longer smell any bleach. It may be necessary to repeat this process to eliminate all signs of bleach.

*With water in the fresh water holding tank turn the 12-volt water pump on and pressurize the water system until the pump shuts off. If the water pump cycles back on, even for a short period of time, there is a leak somewhere. Locate the leak and repair it or take it to an authorized RV service center to be repaired.

*Check the operation of the toilet. Add several gallons of water to the black water holding tank and treat the tank with holding tank chemicals.

*Wash the unit thoroughly. This is a good time to inspect the roof, body seams, and window sealant for cracking that would allow water to get in. Inspect sealants everywhere the manufacturer cut a hole in the RV. Consult a dealer for sealants compatible with these materials.

*Inspect the operation of the awning, clean and check the awning fabric for any damage.
Inspect the tires for signs of dry rot. Inflate all tires to the recommended cold tire pressure.
Lubricate all hinges and locks with spray lubricant.

*Remove any tape or protective covering you may have put over LP gas vents to keep insects and rodents out. Check any mousetraps you may have put out. Open all doors and compartments and check for rodent intrusion and water damage.

*Inspect and clean the interior of the RV.

*Plug in any appliances that you unplugged for storage and replace any dry cell batteries you may have removed. This is a good time to put new batteries in items like smoke alarms.

*Test the operation of the carbon monoxide detector, LP gas leak detector and smoke alarm.

*Check the fire extinguisher. Be sure it is fully charged.

*Reset any breakers you may have turned off. If you removed any fuses for storage re-install them.

*Clean or replace air conditioner filters if it wasn’t done prior to storage and remove any covers that were put over air conditioners.

*Open vents and windows and air the unit out.

*If you removed the coach and chassis batteries for storage install them. Whether they were removed or not check the electrolyte levels, clean the terminals and clamps, and check the state of charge in all batteries. Recharge batteries as necessary.

*Check the operation of the electric steps if applicable. Lubricate step mechanism.

*Test the operation of the hydraulic jacks if applicable. Check hydraulic fluid level.

*Test the operation of the back up camera and monitor if applicable.

*If you didn’t change the oil and filters in the generator prior to storage this is a good time to do it.

*Inspect the generator exhaust system for any damage prior to starting it. Start and run the generator for one hour with at least a half rated load on it. Consult the generators owner manual for proper load ratings.

*Turn the generator off and plug the unit in to shore power. Turn the refrigerator on in the electric mode. Allow sufficient time for it to cool and check for proper operation.

*Check all 12-volt interior lights and accessories.

*Test the monitor panel for proper operation.

*Check the operation of slide outs if applicable.

*Check the remaining 120-volt appliances for proper operation.

*Test the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) for proper operation.

*Turn the refrigerator off, leave the doors open and allow sufficient time for it to get to room temperature so it can be checked in the gas mode.

*Before I use the LP gas system I have a leak test and gas operating pressure test preformed. A qualified technician with the proper equipment should do these tests.

*Turn the LP gas valve on and check the operation of all LP gas appliances. Be sure the water heater is full of water before testing the water heater. If a gas appliance is not operating properly have it inspected by a qualified technician. Insects are attracted to the odorant added to LP gas and build nests that can affect the appliance from operating properly.

*If your unit was in long-term storage and you didn’t change the engine oil and filter prior to storage this would be a good time to do it.

*Check all fluid levels in the transmission, power steering, engine coolant, engine oil, windshield washer and brakes. Consult vehicle owner’s manual.

*Start the engine and check for proper readings on all gauges. Check for proper operation of the dash air conditioner.

*Chassis lubrication should be preformed if it wasn’t done prior to storage.

*Check the condition of windshield wiper blades and replace if necessary.

*Check the operation of all chassis lights.

*Make sure the vehicle emissions / inspection sticker is up to date.

In addition to this if you have a pop up or travel trailer the wheel bearings and brakes (if equipped) should be inspected at least once annually. Inspect any canvas for dry rot and tears; inspect all hitch work and the coupler for any damage. Inspect the breakaway switch and pigtail for proper operation.
It really doesn’t take a lot of time to get your RV ready for another camping season, and you can rest assured that when it’s time to go camping your RV is ready too. Now for the fun part, load your clothes, food, and personal belongings, hit the road and have fun exploring this wonderful country we live in.

Happy Camping!

The Greatness Of Being Great

Great Joyous day to you all. Recently someone asked me if I write these Insights myself and gratefully I do. I write these Insights as they flow through my Universal Consciousness every day. I was also reminded that they are getting longer. The reason for this is that there is No reason. The Universe knows best as far as I am concerned for the highest good of all. I love you.

Now these Insights only take five minutes of our time. However being present with each Insight for five minutes can make a huge difference in one’s being when one chooses so.

With love I write the following words so that you may all experience a sense of renewal.

Tools for life

The Greatness Of Being Great

The Greatness to be great in all things with all is truly our choice in the Now.
How we perceive who and what we are is truly our choice in the Now.
Why we are the way we are, is truly our choice in the Now.

Yes, our environment can influence us. Yes, our parents can Influence us. Yes, our birth signs can influence us. However the truth of the power within us is in the palms of our hands.

I don’t mean go to a palm reader in this case! With our hands being Gods hands, hands that give and receive, Hands that shape and mold us and our surroundings, and with our whole being we are able to shift our circumstances into Greatness.

What is Greatness anyways?
Can we say that it is what we say it is?
Can we say that it is what we claim it to be?
Can we say that Greatness is different for each individual?
Can we say that some people are happier with less and a simpler life style than others? And some are more fulfilled with more as complete?

So what is Greatness? Is it the Pride, Arrogance and the Ego within us?
Is Greatness all the certificates and diplomas that we have collected throughout our lives?
Is Greatness what we offer to ourselves and others?
Is Greatness being a supportive and an available parent and friend?
Is Greatness being a leader of growth or destruction?

How distorted can our perceptions and interpretations of Greatness be?

Can we look into the eyes of a small child and see Greatness in them? Can we see our Greatness in our daily activities? Or do we choose to be blind in the darkness of our perceptions?

Can we see Greatness in the little things in life? Can we? Do we want to? Yes, we surely can. We can in fact see the truth in our lives as the Greatness of all possibilities.

As individuals born from the Source of light we are Great. We may have forgotten this truth. However, we are Great. We are able to transmute all of our wrong thoughts to a new and inspiring way of being, by thinking of ourselves and our abilities as Greatness.

We all have something wonderful and valuable to offer to ourselves and others from this place and space of acceptance. The truth being we are Great in our own Truth.

I invite all of you to just sit for a few moments to allow your Greatness to reveal itself to you, for you to really cherish this moment and therefore move into your daily chores with joy and delight with your own being.

Thank you for hanging on until now. And you are so worth having a Great life in every way.

With Gratitude, I love you. I love you. I love you.

Please feel free to forward these Insights to your friends, family, associates and enemies to empower all to their Greatness and to create Oneness.

May the love, light and Blessings of God and the whole Universe surround you, your loved ones and the planet earth.

With love, Gratitude and Respect,
Michelle Morovaty

Web Coach Tip - “Weekend Warrior” Website Construction… NOT!

Last Sunday at church a prominent building contractor approached me and asked quite innocently, “What do you charge to build a web site?”

I cocked my left eyebrow, looked him square in the eye and asked, “what would you charge to build a house?” He half-heartedly laughed and said, “Well my dear, that depends on what type of house you want!”

My point EXACTLY!

He paused for just a second… (do you see the “ah-ha!” light bulb appearing?) It was at that moment he realized that there is a lot more to creating a website than one might assume.

I went on to explain that just like building a new home, to build a website you need:

  • - a well thought out blueprint
  • - appropriate codes and permits
  • - equipment and materials
  • - an experienced labor force
  • - and a solid footer and foundation to build the home on

Then you can begin:

  • - framing in the house
  • - installing electrical and plumbing lines
  • - hanging drywall
  • - installing windows, staining trim, installing cabinets, cupboards, bathroom fixtures
  • - painting, plastering, carpeting and a bunch of other “-ings” plus millions of other annoying little details

So what does building a house have to do with a website?

EVERYTHING!

Let me break down your home, and your homepage.

  • Blueprint = Web site map, big dreams, and a copy of “The Secret” DVD
  • Codes & Permits = domain, hosting, and a blessing from the all mighty FTC & WWW police.
  • Equipment & materials = software, hardware, project collaboration tools, a large bottle of Tylenol, and a hard-working industrial coffee maker!
  • Experienced labor force = seasoned project managers, staff developers, programmers, and the patience, wisdom and vision of Mother Theresa!
  • Footer & foundation = Site architecture, database development, and lots of perks (beer & pizza) to keep your programmers happy
  • Framing = back-end programming, directories, assets, and whatcha’majiggers
  • Utilities = highly technical thingies that make the website more enjoyable
  • Drywall = individual web pages with groovy gizmos
  • Cabinets, cupboards & toilets = shopping carts, copywriting, and a common user interface
  • Painting, plastering, and those other “-ing’s” = Graphic and/or flash development & design - cosmetic surgery for websites!

And of course, those million other annoying little details don’t go away either!

But seriously…

Building a house, a car, a rocket, or a website takes proper planning.

Nail down your plans, or else you may end up with a motor home that goes 300mph instead of a 3 bedroom condo! That’s a visual!
