Lose Weight and Burn Fat - Do You Know How Circuit Training Can Make You Sexy?

A lot of people are looking for a great way to lose weight and burn fat. A great way to lose weight and burn fat quickly is a type of workout called “circuit training”.

This article will explain what circuit training is, and how it can help you to shed those unwanted pounds.

What Circuit Training Is

Circuit training basically consists of mixing together strength training and cardio.

When most people workout to lose weight and burn fat, they try to do one or all of the following:

-Lots and crunches and core exercises

-Long periods of slow cardio

-Avoid strength training at all costs

-Just use the strength training machines and do 2-3 set sets of 15 reps, waiting for 1 minute in between each set

Circuit training does not involve any of the above!

When you are using circuit training as a way to lose weight and burn fat, what you are essentially doing is taking 8-10 exercises and doing one right after the other with short rest periods in between. This is a great way to lose fat because it keeps you moving the whole time!

With circuit training, there are no long rest periods between exercises and sets.

Here is an example of what a circuit training routine for fat loss might look like:

1. Pushups on knees

2. Seated row

3. Bodyweight squats

4. Hamstring leg curls on stability ball

5. Medicine ball rotations

6. Dumbbell squat, curl, and press

7. Abdominal crunches on a stability ball

8. Dumbbell overhead shoulder press

9. Hyperextensions

The goal of this “lose weight burn fat” circuit training workout is to use lots of multijoint movements, use core training, and work your body in different planes of motion.

For each exercise, you would go for about 10-12 reps. There is a standard belief that doing high reps is the key to losing fat. Doing high reps of 15-20 is good, but will do little to add muscle. Adding muscle mass is the key to making circuit training work. By using 10-12 reps of a weight that is heavy but not impossible, you should stimulate your muscles to get stronger.

The workout above may be used for 2-3 rotations, with rest periods of 30-45 seconds.

So why is circuit training so great for someone who is trying to burn fat? Here are the main answers:

Raise your metabolism

Muscle mass burns fat calories and helps you to lose weight. Fat is not “converted” to muscle. In fact, muscle mass uses calories like cars use gasoline. The trick is to do the right type of workout to make this happen. When performed correctly, circuit training will do this.

Burn calories while you workout

By keeping on the move from one exercise to another, you will burn lots of calories. This will help you to lose weight and burn fat because you are using your workouts to burn calories during and after the exercise session is over.

Can be done at home or at the gym

This is great for people who need to lose weight but have busy schedules. You can modify a lot of the exercises to be done at home with simple equipment like your own bodyweight, dumbbells, and a stability ball.

So when you are going to the gym next, don’t do same speed cardio followed by the strength machines. Try this type of workout to lose weight and burn fat effectively!

Remember that your safety comes first, so be sure to check with a doctor before beginning an exercise program.

Computer Too Slow?

Is your computer too slow? It may be a software issue. Most computer users have been trained that if you want more speed for your computer, then add more memory. Well, this is true, in certain circumstances. But for most of the times, it really is just a bad file in your registry files. Corrupted or missing registry files can make your computer too slow.

First off, the Windows registry is basically a database of settings and instructions for everything in your computer: hardware, software, operating system, and even the preferences of the user of the computer. If you have multiple users on a PC, and they each login differently, then these types of preferences, or settings, are stored in the registry.

Also, any time you make a change to any of your computers settings, through the control panel, they are stored and updated in the registry. So, how does the registry get messed up? Well, let’s say you install a new program, and it then changes one of the registry files to work with the new program. The new program works like a champ, but what about the other program. You don’t know yet, because you have not had to use it. But when the time comes to open the old program, and the required registry file is not there, or is different, the computer might just sit there. It has no idea what to do. These problems happen every day to people, even to me. And, this type of problem causes a slow computer.

If you have ever had a problem like this, where the computer is just flat out slow, you need to fix your registry files. And, I guarantee you have errors in the registry files. I run my registry repair software weekly, and find and fix errors. I ran it right before this article, and found 36 errors. When I do optimization for other people’s computers, it is not uncommon to find over 500 errors. Fixing these errors will dramatically increase the speed of your computer. And it is easier and cheaper than buying a bunch of memory you may not need.

With a computer too slow, there is a simple fix. All you need to do is run a registry repair software, and get your Windows registry cleaned up and optimized. You will no longer have a slow computer.

Michael Baker is a Computer Optimization Technician, and recommends getting a Free Computer Scan to fix any problems such as computers freezing, locking up, restarting for no reason, and getting the blue death screen.

Increase Your Sales through Incentive Marketing

Incentive marketing is a specific strategy to persuade people to do what you want them to do by giving them something, an incentive, in exchange of achieving an objective. Often, these people are your costumers and clients. Incentive marketing is your way to remain costumers and clients loyal to you, your brand, company or services. Incentive marketing is also used to dispose inventory or to push slow-moving products. Nonetheless, incentive marketing is an effective tool to increase your sales.

To set up an incentive marketing strategy, you need define your objective or goal first- answering “why you need to do it”. One very common incentive marketing goal is increasing the sale of your product. To make sure of this, however, you need to understand well the behavior of your target costumers and clients. We say “target” because you can never have an incentive marketing strategy that applies to all. “A glove made for everyone, fits to no one.” Further, your target market should be able to achieve your goal, otherwise, it is useless to have such a program and devote your time and money formulating it.

Now, define your budget. There are incentive marketing programs that do not require you to put out cash since you just have to reduce the price of your product or the cost of your service. But no matter what type of incentive marketing you will be using, it is equally important to make sure that you know how much you can afford. In the end, if you were able to define your budget, you know how much you have gained.

There are other important factors that you need to consider when executing your incentive marketing strategy. These include promotion, length of the program and timing, reward, and geographic boundaries.

In promotion, your clients must have the knowledge of what your incentive marketing is all about. You can send it through email, newsletter, monthly fliers, brochures, posters, and other marketing paraphernalia that will effectively inform your costumers about the incentive you offer. There is a budget involve in here. Make sure that you have calculated it well during your initial planning.

The length of the program must be well-planned. Timing is also crucial. These 2 must go hand in hand and will define if your incentive marketing will work or not. To know when is the right time to launch this program, study carefully the behavior of your sales during the year. Take note of the highest point and mark the lowest point. Usually, incentive marketing can be implemented during the months where costumers least buy your product or take your services. Simply put: give them a reason to buy your product or acquire your service when they least need it.

Reward is another important factor that determines the success of your incentive marketing. When choosing merchandise for reward, consider its usefulness, durability, attractiveness, convenience, and uniqueness. Choose also the kind of reward that would appeal to most of your costumers and clients. Since it involves investment, take note of the longevity of the product. Do not just buy too many and stack them to your warehouse. Buy within your budget. Consider the following factors, and give it away before the program expires.

The effectiveness of your incentive marketing will still depend on the response of your costumers and clients but if you take note of these issues, you will surely increase your chances of achieving your goals and pleasing your costumers.

Philidelphia Dinner Cruise

When I think of the great city of Philadelphia, I think of Ben Franklin, historical landmarks, the Liberty Bell and of course, cold weather. The last thing that pops into my mind is a cruise. You can imagine my surprise when my husband told me that was would be going on a Philadelphia dinner cruise for our anniversary.

While the notion of a Philadelphia dinner cruise was really romantic, I had to consider whether or not I actually wanted to go. After some consideration I decided to take my husband up on the offer. The Philadelphia dinner cruise was planned and I was amazed by the experience.

Each trip takes a few hours to complete and this was really appealing to us. We loved the notion of having a leisurely dinner without feeling rushed to finish so the waitress could end her shift or take another table in our place. The Philadelphia dinner cruise is ideal for people who want to relax and enjoy the evening.

We also loved that we didn’t have to shuffle from one place to another for entertainment, dining and relaxation. The Philadelphia dinner cruise provided everything for us. We only had to arrive at the docks and head back to the hotel after the cruise was finished. The convenient package was really appealing to us.

The price was right as well. For a little more than you would pay for dinner for two at a restaurant you could enjoy an evening of dining and entertainment aboard a Philadelphia dinner cruise. In fact, we would have spent more if we would have eaten and gone dancing later. The money we saved came in handy for an extra night at the hotel. Since the Philadelphia dinner cruise was so reasonable, we had enough money to extend our weekend an extra day.

I was thrilled to discover that the Philadelphia dinner cruise isn’t just for couples. This is a great option for anyone planning a special bridal shower, birthday party or nearly any other special occasion that you can think of. The experience is wonderful and your guests will be really pleased with the adventure.

There were so many magnificent sights to see from the water and I was intrigued by the lovely scenery. The food was beyond excellent and the Philadelphia dinner cruise was a real hit. In fact, we are thinking about making it a new tradition for our anniversary.

Things To Do With Your Criminal Justice Degree

A lot of students considering a civil service career think that a criminal justice degree is only good for being a law enforcement officer or, in combination with a legal degree, a criminal lawyer. Here are a whole range of criminal justice career choices that many degree-holders overlook, but are well worth consideration:

Social Work/ Personal Cases
These may include child support and child protective services, missing persons, domestic violence and spousal or elderly abuse. Domestic legal social work is often identified as having extreme pros and cons to it. On the one hand, you’re working to make everyone’s home life better. On the other, the work can be stressful when confronting a perpetrator or heart-wrenching when confronting a victim. Social workers will work with law enforcement officers to assess a domestic situation, monitor a case to ensure that the desires of the court are carried out, and make further recommendations to the court for the disposal of cases.

Criminal Investigators and Special Agents
Also known as “the Feds”. Working in federal investigations is a whole new ball game compared to municipal police work. As for special agents, these are not limited to the FBI; nearly every federal agency has some type of special agent. These include the Department of Homeland Security, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Internal Revenue Service’s Criminal Investigation Division, the United States Marshals Service, the U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the National Park Service. Special agent work is a way to combine a criminal justice career with many other fields of government work and specialty interests.

Immigration and Customs Inspectors
These are the public servants who control access of persons and property into and out of the United States. Quite a high-profile job lately, with today’s concerns over terrorism. A challenging job, with being able to speak multiple languages fluently a big plus (in some cases a requirement). Sometimes your biggest concern will not be stopping a terrorist, but preventing a confused, but innocent person from being mistaken for one! In addition, you maybe on the spot to check or clear visiting diplomats and dignitaries from other lands.

Police Detectives
This is usually an after-the-fact officer. The law enforcement officer does the arresting; you just solve the crimes. Be aware that it’s hardly the glamorous job Hollywood movies would have you believe; your reality will be day-to-day mundane tasks such as collecting forensic evidence, checking background records, interviewing witnesses, and testifying in court. Police detectives are of course categorized into many department specialties. Robbery and burglary alone accounts for a very large portion of police detective work.

Correctional Officers and Jailers
Well, that’s pretty self-explanatory, isn’t it? You’ll be responsible for the care, custody, and control of inmates, whether they have been arrested and are awaiting trial or have been convicted of a crime and sentenced to serve time in jail. A prison or jail is a controlled environment which in many ways is a microcosm of a society, with it’s own challenges to face. While the controlled environment of the jail or prison will seem a more secure niche, unexpected surprises can develop - particularly in the intake zone. And when things get out of hand in a prison, they tend to escalate quickly.

Homeland Security
Responsible to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism. Currently a high-profile job to say the least, and not for the faint of heart, but you can count on lots of federal support during this time of national crisis. You’ll be working with other federal agencies as well, such as the FBI and CIA, military counter-intelligence, and the NSA. The specialties with the Department of Homeland Security include collecting and sorting data on potential threats, surveillance, investigation, and assessing and alerting other agencies to potential threats.

Private Detective/ Investigator
The number-one most mythologized profession, misrepresented in movies and television about equally with spies. As opposed to the high drama and dangerous intrigue portrayed in fiction, your typical jobs as a private investigator might include tracking cheating spouses, gathering evidence for private attorneys in civil cases, or investigating spurious claims for an insurance company. Leave your Magnum, your Porche, and your nubile blond mistresses home - but always carry a notepad and pen.

Criminal Intelligence
Well away from any street work, the criminal intelligence agent works behind the scenes, gathering data on gang members, fugitives, and organized crime and logging it into databases where it will be accessible to officers and detectives in the field. This is often an under-recognized profession but obviously essential; when the officer types a gang member’s name into the computer in his patrol car and discovers the identities of the other five members of that gang, a criminal intelligence worker at the base made this possible.

Computer Crime
Not a specific specialty just yet, but dealing with the cyber-side of criminal justice is one of the most in-demand fields as the number of computers in society grows each year. You’ll of course need to combine your criminal justice degree with a computer science degree. Crimes committed through or with a computer may include fraud, offensive content, harassment and hate groups, drug trafficking, and cyberterrorism. If you imagined computer viruses or email scams were perpetrated by individual kids, think again: Computer fraud and data theft is actually an international organized crime operation and a multi-billion dollar per year industry! Police departments also need forensic data analysts on hand to find and recover evidence which may be on a suspect’s computer and may have been encrypted or deleted. In the future, a special department may be created within the criminal justice system to deal with this special category, as currently many police departments have to outsource their computer-related work.

This list hardly scratches the surface of every career opportunity available in the criminal justice field, but should provide a broad sample of what’s out there. Far from regular street police work, there are career opportunities to satisfy every interest and skill set.

Best Resorts and Spas

There is a place where you can retreat to get away from it all. A place where everybody knows your name. Uh, just kidding. Scratch that last part; I just had to say it. I’m thinking more along the lines of a resort and spa. We all need breaks such as this. That 9-5 job starts to wear on you; the routine chores around the house become so irksome; and the stress of everyday life begins to build. Well, it’s time for a nice relaxing release. What you need is a bit of pampering, while you just kick back and enjoy life.

My first question is; have you ever indulged in a resort and spa vacation? Let me tell you, these are ideal for couples. Whether you’re planning your honeymoon or just craving a break from the chaos of everyday life, a reputable resort and spa getaway will do the trick. Don’t believe me? Just ask my wife. She’s always on me about taking trips to those Sandals resorts. Though I will admit that they’re amazing and perfect for any couple, I prefer something a tad closer to home. If you reside in any large metropolitan area, you can count on a number of spas to be close by. All it takes is a quick trip through cyberspace, and you’ll pinpoint that local resort and spa to take advantage of.

Now days there are a variety to choose from on the pampering list. You can have your body rubbed-down and exfoliated with sea salt, or lounge in a tub of mud to cleanse those tired pores. You can take a steam to relax your aching muscles or get a facial to bring out the glow in your complexion. If you ask me, the best treatment to acquire at a fine spa is a full body massage. You can get them for an hour or more at a time. This will not only feel outstanding, but it will also relax your stressed body and mind, which is in turn great for your overall health. If you’ve never considered a resort and spa vacation, or even just a mere trip to the local spas in your area, it’s high time you did. While life is full of work, responsibility, stress and pain, it’s also full of perks such as the full body massage. Treat yourself to the finer aspects as well.

Looking for an Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Tutorial?

Do you own the program Adobe Photoshop 7.0? Have you been looking for new ways to use it? Have you been searching all over the internet for Adobe Photoshop 7.0 tutorials but can’t find any? Well, this is probably because many of the Photoshop tutorials today are for version 9, which is the latest release of the program from Adobe. Here are some tips you can use to look for Adobe Photoshop 7.0 tutorials.

1) Use your program help guide - every program has a help guide. This is because manufacturers want to make their programs easy to use. However, many people tend to ignore these guides, opting to look for easier-to-absorb Adobe Photoshop 7.0 tutorials.

What you need to know is that most Adobe Photoshop 7.0 tutorials in the internet today are actually based on the help guide found on your program. The guide contains the basic principles of operating Adobe Photoshop. This means that in the guide, you will find the basic knowledge you need to manipulate your images. After you have this basic knowledge, then you can progress to more complex manipulations.

2) Visit a bookstore - Because of the internet, most people today tend to underestimate the usefulness of books. However, you should realize that different types of tutorials are written as books. The advantage to looking for Adobe Photoshop 7.0 tutorials in a bookstore is that you would be likely to find one that’s cheap. This is because not many people are looking for such books anymore.

Although this type of Adobe Photoshop 7.0 tutorial cannot give you the information as fast as other media, books often have much broader content. In an Adobe Photoshop 7.0 tutorial book, you will be able top find everything you need to know about the program, from the most basic concepts to tips even experts would want to know about. You will have to turn pages and search the index for the topic you want but the knowledge you gain will be worth the effort.

3) Talk to an expert - although old Adobe Photoshop 7.0 tutorials may be deleted, you can be sure that there are people who still know how to work the program. Instead of looking for a tutorial, why don’t you just ask someone to teach you how to work the program? Sure, it can be a bit more time consuming and may seem to be pretty inconvenient compared to getting a tutorial, but this is probably the best way you can learn how to use Adobe Photoshop 7.0.

You will be able to ask questions and clarify certain points about the program that may seem unclear. The best thing about this is that the person who gives you the Adobe Photoshop 7.0 tutorial will actually be able to demonstrate the things that he or she teaches. You will be able to see and understand the lessons more quickly. You can also jump to more advanced lessons by asking the person about specific things that you want to do with the program.

As you can see, there are a lot of things that you can do to get Adobe Photoshop 7.0 tutorials. What you just need to do is to take what resources you have and make the most of them. Try to think outside the box and the answer will come to you.

Summer Holidays

For many people in this modern age, the summer holidays are the only time they get to get away from it all and relax. Finding the best cheap summer holidays is not just a matter of convenience or entertainment - it is a matter of survival. Without going on a summer vacation now and then, you won’t be able to unwind. Your health will suffer, your mental well-being will suffer, and even your relationships will suffer. This is why you should start thinking of your summer holiday plans well ahead of time. I know from experience - I have done summer vacation travel both with and without planning, and I have learned that is best to plan your summer holidays well in advance.

Of course, there are two basic ways to do summer holidays. My family has always preferred to do summer vacation rentals. Going to summer vacation homes, you can relax and unwind. Instead of having to travel from place to place, you can spend time on a pretty lake, in a new city that you haven’t explored before, or perhaps visiting some relatives. Although it is not the most adventurous plan for summer holidays, it is probably the most relaxing. Your summer holiday will give you a chance to really and truly unwind.

Some people, however, are more adventurous than this. They like a little bit of action in their summer holidays. When I was young, I loved to take summer trips all over the place. My summer travel plans were pretty wide ranging most of the time. I would take summer holidays to Europe and go all over the place, visiting Spain, France, London, and Portugal. Although the summer holidays were expensive and the accommodations were minimal, they were still worth it. I was young, and I had a fire that I had to feed.

Nowadays, I like a little bit more comfort. I usually take advantage of summer travel deals well ahead of time. You can, of course, find summer holidays for cheap at the last minute, but the best way is to start looking in the middle of winter. At that point, prices will be extremely low as there is very little demand for summer vacation plans. As an added bonus, you will have plenty of time to search for summer holiday packages and find the best deal for you and your family before the season is upon you.

A Case for Babying Your Baby

Recently, I have noticed a resurgence in parents afraid of “spoiling” their children, in particular their newborns and infants by holding them too often in a baby sling carrier. This certainly isn’t anything new. In the early half of the 20th century, the majority of child care experts discouraged parents from excessively holding their babies, warning that by doing so, they would not prepare their children for the harsh and cruel world that awaited them.

However, in 1946 Dr. Benjamin Spock published “The Common Sense Book of Baby and Child Care.” Dr. Spock was one of the early proponents of mothers caring for their babies by using their own judgment to determine what was best for their baby.

Today there are still many who warn new parents that excessively holding their baby will spoil the child. These people are known as “regulators.” Regulators believe that the child needs a disciplined routine to develop. The second group of people is referred to as “facilitators”. The facilitating parent acts reactively to the child’s physical or emotional cues of distress.

In 2001, A. Scher from the University of Haifa, Israel, conducted a study to determine which method of parenting created a stronger bond between the mother and child. Overwhelmingly, babies whose mothers used a facilitating approach to parenting displayed more “attachment” to their mothers than babies whose mothers used a more regulating approach.

So what does this mean for a new parent? It simply means that by holding your child and appropriately caring for your child when they begin to fuss, you build a relationship of trust and security with your baby. Building this sense of trust with your baby will actually foster your baby’s confidence to explore and interact with others. So relax, and worry more about what your baby wants and less about the way your peers and associates say.

The author is a proponent of “attached” parenting techniques and other benefits of href="http://www.tinyslings.com/">baby sling carriers.

Cover Letters – An Essential Aspect Of Your Application

A lot of people spend hours and hours checking and rechecking their resume. They include every aspect and details of their qualifications such as their skills, work experience and educational attainment to show their (hopefully) future employer that they are indeed the perfect and the best person for the job.

This is all good. Your resume can do a lot for you. But, some people have been so overly focused on their resume that they tend to neglect their cover letter. Your cover letter is an essential aspect of your application that is equal in importance to your resume. There are even times when the screeners would base their decisions on the cover letter alone.

This is because your cover letter is your very first chance to provide an impression. This is what most employers read first and judge your personality. A lot about you can be said through your cover letter. This will be your chance to convince the reader to move on to your resume.

To make sure that your cover letter gives a good synopsis about you, it should include a presentation of all your abilities and qualifications that would imply that you are the right person for the position. You must make sure that you present your cover letter in a very professional manner that depicts your seriousness and willingness to take the job.

Also, think about your cover letter as your marketing material, and what you are selling is yourself. It serves as an introductory material which will show off your good points. This should make the reader want more and capture his or her interest immediately. Like a good marketing strategy, your cover letter should grab attention and be very noticeable. This would then lead the hiring manager to read on more about you, and perhaps, know more about you by calling you for an interview.

To start off, your cover letter should be addressed to the appropriate person. This will show that you have done your research and took the effort to learn about such matters. This will also make your letter more personal and not just a template which could have been sent to other companies.

Explain why you want the job and why you think the job is right for you. You should paint a precise picture wherein the job was made especially for you and that no one else would be able to do it just right. Just avoid over exaggerating and telling lies. A lot of companies verify what you have written in your cover letter and if they find out that you are lying, you will definitely create a bad impression.

Detail out your strengths, but make sure to include only those that can be applied to the position that you are going after. You don’t want to mention you’re a crossword champion when you’re applying for a secretarial job, this may mean that you spend all your time just doing crosswords.

Never forget to include all your contact details and mention the times when you will be free for an interview. This will show that you are very positive and a take charge kind of guy. Also, make sure that you spend ample time to check and recheck your cover letter; an error-free cover letter connotes professionalism.
