In our vast and changing world as our understanding increases specialists are becoming more and more sought after. Massage Therapy is a growing industry where certified specialists obtain a niche in a high paced world meeting the increased demand for luxury, comfort, pleasure, and stress relief. One aspect that separates one masseuse from another masseuse may be as simple as the massage table they perform their specialty upon.
1. Light Weight Tables: are tables designed for the traveling masseuse who does not have a storefront or whose clients prefer the massage to be performed in the comfort of their own home. Typically the table does not weigh more than thirty pounds. They are collapsible and commonly made from lighter weight material such as aluminum or a metal composite.
2. Professional Tables: are more geared for storefront business operators, however these also come in collapsible forms and usually weigh more than 30 pounds because they are made from heavier products such as wood. They are usually covered in leather as opposed to synthetic and man-made materials.
As the massage industry becomes more specialized so have the tables on which the massages are performed. Three basic designs are an inexpensive table for students and amateurs, for certified professionals who have a storefront, and collapsible tables built for personal home use. Since we have already spoken about the professional table we will discuss the two other options available:
1. Student Tables: these are designed for the student who is studying the art of Massage Therapy and wanting to begin a career as a Masseuse. They typically fit in the area of light weight tables, because they can collapse and be stored in a smaller area and they are less expensive than a professional table.
2. Home Users: A table built merely for the couple in the security of their home to perform massages on each other or friends. These are typically of lower quality and durability as they are less frequently used. However, depending on the need for comfort one may look also to professional tables for home use also.
If you are just beginning or have been in the business for some time, there are massage tables which will fit the needs you have.
