Braided Rugs - Amish Braided Rugs to Modern Stand the Test of Time

Braided rugs are extremely versatile in the ability to add color and warmth to any room in a home. They have been doing this a long time since pioneer women first brightened their homes with rugs made out of scraps of old fabrics. Traditional braided rugs added beauty while warming up stark cold floors and continue to be one of the most popular rugs for this purpose.

There is a wide range of styles, colors and sizes of braided area rugs available for the consumer. Braids are made from braiding strips of material together and can be made with virtually any yarns or fabrics then are sewn into braided rugs. The oval shape is most common but they can be found in a variety of shapes such as circular, rectangular, and heart shaped.

From traditional braided rugs to modern they offer the consumer many benefits.
One of these benefits is that they are extremely hard-wearing and durable. Flat braided rugs are more durable than tubular braided rugs as there is yarn throughout the braided rope whereas tubular have a synthetic core that is covered with yarn. The consumer has tremendous choice of color, style and durability.

Braided area rugs are easy to care for and very versatile. Many are reversible giving you twice the wear. They add warmth and texture to cold floors both visually and physically.
Protecting your floors is another benefit that they provide whether they are hardwood, wall to wall carpeting, linoleum or tile.

Amish braided rugs are handmade by the Amish people who learned this skill as they needed other sources of income as farmland became scarce. Being very family oriented this gave them the opportunity to work at home and also pass this skill on to their children. There are also many other artisans that have learned the skill of making braided rugs and have created small businesses. So there are many places you can get a top quality hand-made braided rug to enjoy for years.

The construction of braided area rugs continues to improve and many are machine-made by large companies. Capel braided rugs and thimbelberries rugs are two popular brands.
Whether you want a handmade amish braided area rug or a machine-made capel braided rug you’re sure to enjoy the warmth and beauty it brings to your home for generations.

The Benefits of Nutritional Supplements

Nutritional Supplements contain such nutrients as proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. It’s not really that surprising they’re called nutritional supplements because they are designed to improve your nutrition. Food or nutritional supplements help us compensate for a particular nutrient deficiency in our body. A complete balanced diet is required to keep the body healthy by maintaining a certain level of all these nutrients, if any of the nutrients level becomes too low then our health will start to deteriorate.

There are many different kinds of nutritional supplements available on the market today. Usually these products come in the form of caplets, tablets or powder; however there is often an option of having liquid medication. All supplements are different; you would take each one for a different reason because they all have their own benefits. Calcium for example is very important for healthy growth of bones and teeth. If you don’t eat or drink enough foods or consume a certain amount of calcium supplements, you would eventually end up being calcium deficient. This means that your body doesn’t have enough calcium, simply because you aren’t eating enough in the first place. As a result of this at some time in your life your bones and teeth will suffer and the older we become the more of a negative impact it will have on our bodies.

Calcium and certain other vitamin supplements also help to fight against osteoporosis in women. Folic acid is a type of B vitamin that prevents abnormal births and other birth defects. Doctors normally advise pregnant women to take folic acid tablets in their early pregnancy. Everyone else should also take a small amount of folic acid to ensure protection against heart disease and cancer.

Other than the above-mentioned nutritional supplements, antioxidants are also gaining popularity these days. They are more commonly known as anti-aging supplements. They slow down the oxidation process in the body and consequently reduce cholesterol levels. They protect against various heart problems. Some vegetables like tomato, onion and garlic are rich sources of antioxidants, but if you think your intake of these vegetables is low then you should consider taking antioxidant supplements.

There are many different reasons for taking nutritional supplements and there are numerous supplements that you can take if you’re into weightlifting or bodybuilding. If you want to bulk up and gain muscle then by taking one of the many bodybuilding supplements you may be able to do just this! Similarly if you want to increase your strength and muscle mass then there are several weightlifting supplements on the market that can do just that.

Always remember to consult your physician before you start taking any supplements because these nutritional supplements can do a lot of good but also can be very harmful to you as well. By taking the incorrect dosage of any supplement it can lead to health problems but by supplementing with the right ones it can lead to a longer, healthier, happy life.

NLP Makes Business Leaders

NLP or neuro-linguistic programming is a tool used in the mental health profession for decades. It is based on the theory that our language and behaviour develops from our world experiences and perceptions. NLP builds on those language and communication skills that leaders have at their fingertips. It involves modelling these behaviours. They can learned. By learning and training NLP great gains can be made in communication, image, and role in the world.

The business world is full of people trying to climb the corporate ladder. Everyone tries to stand out to make the boss notice them, to make the clients and customers return. There have been countless studies on why some people achieve and others fall behind. Effective communication is key in many of these studies.

NLP can be used in a variety of areas of the business world to help increase effectiveness in workers, communicators, and most importantly, leaders. One of the key areas of NLP is the building of rapport. Rapport is a skill that involves matching, to some degree, the behaviour of those one is in contact with. This tool of rapport and other NLP methods can assist salespersons and key account managers to apply their communication skills to bring in sales and improve customer relations. NLP is shown to be effective as an internal communication device. Managers can communicate clearly with staff thus improving productivity and work environment.

Despite being a tool used in the mental health profession since the seventies, NLP is relatively new in the business world. The NHS uses NLP programmes to improve communication between staff and even between patients. They also incorporated the programme into their management training system.

There are several other uses for NLP in the business world, including but not limited to, preparing companies for organisational changes, developing marketing techniques, customer service and recruiting.

Terry Doherty, a master practitioner of NLP, provides proven results for many large companies throughout Great Britain. He provides NLP training in combination with coaching programs tailor-made to fit business needs.

Terry Doherty works all over the UK working extensively with individual and business clients helping clients to stop smoking, manage weight, manage stress, become more cofident and helping change many other issues. Terry uses the latest techniques of hypnosis, NLP and life coaching skills for profound change. Pain - Do You Know the Different Methods for Chronic Headache Pain Treatment?

You are a chronic headache pain sufferer if you experience headache pain 25 or more days a month. This pain is far more debilitating than scientists previously thought, according to an Ohio University researcher who is leading a study of 245 chronic headache pain sufferers.

Results from the study found that 66 percent of participants have headaches nearly every day.
The research was presented at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Study of Headache in San Francisco.

More than 70 percent of the patients recorded their experiences as that of disrupted sleep, fatigue and headache-related anxiety or stress. Forty-four percent said their headaches affected their performance at work or school and 72 percent said the pain caused them to miss work or school an average of 3.5 days in the last six months. Do you experience the same type of pain?

You are not alone, chronic headache pain disrupts the lives of millions of people worldwide. Thankfully, there are ways to treat the debilitating discomfort of tension headaches, migraines, and cluster headaches. But, how do you know which kind of chronic headache pain treatment is right for you?

Chronic headache pain treatment includes medication or natural remedies. Your first step is to visit your doctor to find out what kind of headache you have, and if it is chronic, then, a chronic headache pain treatment will be suggested by your doctor. Also, consider getting a second opinion just to be on the correct side of the diagnosis.

To be medically considered for chronic headache pain treatment, a person must have acute pain on a regular basis that is not cured by over-the-counter drugs, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil).

Medication

Your doctor may prescribe medications, such as Imetrex or Maxalt, drugs typically used to treat chronic headache pain associated with migraines and cluster headaches. And, in very severe cases, strong narcotic painkillers, like Oxycodon and Vicodine, may be used as part of your chronic headache pain treatment plan. However, many doctors agree that a chronic headache pain treatment plan cannot consist of medication alone.

Seddon Savage, M.D., a pain specialist from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire says, “Treatment for chronic pain is about much more than medication. It can also involve stress relief and relaxation, physical therapy, improved sleep and nutrition habits, and exercise.”

Alternative Methods

Take note of the fact that medication is not for everybody and may not be for you. If you would rather find a more natural way to treat your pain, there are many alternative methods of chronic headache pain treatment that have proven to result in very effective pain relief.

- Acupuncture. Traditional Chinese acupuncture therapy uses small needles that are inserted into specific points of the body. Many people swear by this chronic headache pain treatment

- Acupressure. If acupuncture needles frighten you, you may want to try acupressure. Instead of needles, acupressure relies on fingertips to stimulate channels of energy in the body.

- Fragrant Oils. Some oils have been proven to be great chronic headache pain treatments. Try using peppermint oil, chamomile, rosemary, or lavender to alleviate your pain. Keep in mind, a little oil goes a long way.

Since pain varies from person to person, Chronic Headache pain treatment is individualized. While medication may work perfectly for some, acupuncture or acupressure may work better for others.
The point being you must find the magic treatment that works for you as an individual.

Make Me Lose About 25 lbs.

Make me lose about 25lbs……

I hear that a lot. People often confuse hypnosis with, well, magic I guess. People misconstrue hypnosis with a panacea. HYPNOSIS WILL NOT MAKE YOU LOSE WEIGHT, YOU MAKE YOU LOSE WEIGHT! That’s right, hypnosis cannot make the pounds just melt away, and nothing can. What hypnosis can do is pretty amazing; just not miraculous.

So how do people lose weight using hypnosis? Good question. They don’t. There is only one way to lose weight: burn more calories than you take in. It is a math problem. That simple equation becomes the biggest problem for most people losing weight. People using hypnosis to lose weight do so because they want to learn to use their brain and change the way they think about food and exercise. They learn quicker, and form new habits to replace the ones that were (no pun intended) feeding into their weight problem. If you replace the bad habit with a good one that satisfies the same need, there is no desire for the bad one anymore. Get it? Here is an example my husband uses:

“I could move in with you and walk around with you all day and all night, and every time you tried to eat something unhealthy, I would knock it out of your hands. I could hold a gun to your head and make you exercise and that you are not snacking at night. After several months, you will have all new habits, and wouldn’t need me there anymore. Or, I can hypnotize you to learn the habits you need and how to use them, and you will do it on your own in about 30 days. Remember, I have four kids that come with me. Which way would you prefer?”

Hypnosis is, by definition, a change in state. Happy to sad, relaxed to tense, angry to calm. When you change your state, you become more suggestible. Here is where people get confused: more suggestible DOES NOT mean that someone can make you do something you would not ordinarily do. Is it possible? Yes, but with several visits and lots of work: in other words, you would know what is going on. Hypnosis just allows you to accept beneficial suggestions without you getting in the way. You’re simply more open to new ideas and possibilities.

People often ask me, “Can bad things happen under hypnosis?” My answer, “Not with us.” Think of hypnosis like a gun. If a police officer has it, you aren’t worried about the outcome or how they will use it. If a felon has the same gun, it takes on a whole different view. Suddenly, you fear the worst and are terrified of what can happen. There are immoral and unethical people in every profession, so just be careful. Make sure you talk to your hypnotist before you allow them to hypnotize you. If you don’t feel comfortable, leave. Don’t be afraid to ask for referrals from people who have used the hypnotist before you.

Hypnosis for clinical use is growing in popularity. Weight loss is by far the largest clinical use of hypnosis. Its popularity is largely based on the fact that there are no pills to take, no invasive procedures, no patches to stick on, and you get to relax while you do it. It is an attractive alternative for people of every age, color, religion, and sex.

Hypnosis is a means to learn what you need to do, and change the habits you have in a condensed time. In comparison to other habits, weight loss is one of the most difficult habits to change… and it is a habit. To lose weight, you have to change your habit of the types of foods you eat, the habit of how much you eat, the habit of when you eat, and your exercise habits. Now, that’s a lot of habits! Let’s look at smoking as a counter-example. When you stop putting cigarettes in your mouth, you’re a non-smoker. The habit in smoking is putting the cigarette in your mouth. Try to stop putting food in your mouth to become a non-eater. You can’t do that too long. You have to develop new habits to continue doing what you do but in a new and responsible way.

Fire Alarm Batteries

Fire alarms are used by people to warn them of the possibility that they could be encountering a force which, left to blaze, would destroy they possessions in one sweep. Fire alarms are there to make sure that you are able to respond quickly and save your own life in case of an emergency. Fire alarms make sure that you will be able to stop the fire before it causes great damage. However, what makes sure that your fire alarm works? Well, the fire alarm battery makes sure that your alarm is ready to help you.

Fire alarm batteries are very important because they give the power that the device needs to alert you to the possibility of fire. In fact, they are so important that the law requires that you check your fire alarm batteries regularly. After all, fire alarms are only useful as long as they have enough power to actually detect fires and give alarms. You have to get great fire alarm batteries simply because of the fact that a fire alarm works 24 hours a day. This means that you cannot afford to let it run out of gas. Fire alarm batteries have to be checked regularly in order to make sure that your fire alarm is still running and is still able to save you.

Fire alarm batteries should also never be taken out of the device. Many people take out their fire alarm batteries in order to use them in other devices, thinking that they would put them back after use. However, they often end up with drained batteries. What makes it worse is the fact that people may forget to replace those drained batteries. Thus, they end up with dead fire alarms. Remember that people do tend to forget. Never take fire alarm batteries out because an emergency is never planned out. If something goes wrong, you do not want to be left hanging.

Some people take out fire alarm batteries in order to avoid false alarms. They often do this when they are cooking or doing any other activity which may trigger the fire alarm. Never do this. Instead, you should opt to buy a fire alarm which can be activated or deactivated automatically. This is because putting back batteries can seem like so much of a job for some people. By getting fire alarms that you can automatically turn off and on, you won’t be inconvenienced when you need silence. Be sure to turn it on after you are done, though.

When you are buying fire alarm batteries, make sure that you know the types recommended for your alarm. This would ensure the optimal performance of your fire alarm. Using other types may not only lower the performance of your fire alarms, but it could also damage your device. You should make sure that you know the specific needs of your fire alarm in terms of batteries. This will help you make sure that your fire alarm actually works.

You should also make sure that you know how to replace your fire alarm batteries properly. This would ensure that you will not damage the fire alarm during the process. If you do not think you can do it, try to get a technician to change the fire alarm battery for you. It is, after all, better to be safe than sorry.

Goal Setting and Goal Achieving - Do You Write Down Your Goals and Review Them Daily?

Fewer than 10% of all people set and review goals on a regular basis. Goal setting is like mapping out a blueprint for your future. If you do not know what you are working towards you may very well end up somewhere else.

Goal setting is best done when you are looking at your life for at least the next 12 months. You can look at where you want to be in a year and work backwards to make smaller, more workable goals. Next you set goals for a quarter and see what you want to have accomplished three months from now. Make sure your goals are written down on paper.

During this three month period you set goals for weekly efforts that must be made and review them each day to make sure you are on track. Modify any goals that need to be changed and make sure you are always thinking about what you need to do to achieve your goals for that week. When you take action of any kind ask yourself if that action will help move you closer to your goals.

Goal achieving is the second, often overlooked part of goal setting. Just setting goals is not enough to make sure that you follow through with what you planned to do and what you said you were going to do

If you find after a few weeks that you are not accomplishing the goals you are setting for yourself take a closer look at what may be happening. Are you trying to do too much during the week? Are you setting unrealistic goals for yourself that are impossible to complete? Break each task down into an easily definable set of actions that can be taken to finish that goal.

Take a good look at the areas in your life in which you are setting these goals. Make sure that you have goals in more than just one area, even though that one area will be your main focus during the week. Set goals for work, relationships, personal (such as health or weight loss), and spiritual. If you are focusing on only one area of your life on a regular basis you may find it more difficult to accomplish anything fully.

Goal setting and goal achieving is done regularly by the most highly accomplished and successful people throughout the world. By writing down exactly where you are now and where you want to be at a later point in time you are extremely more likely to achieve your goals.

Fast Way To Build Muscles

There are several fast ways to build muscle. If you mix them then you get maximum result in a short period of time. Before I share with you these tips, I want to let you know that there are no natural ways to build muscles extremely fast. Stay realistic and goal-oriented and you will undoubtedly build the muscles you desire. Do not get upset or disappointed, if you don’t see the results fast enough. Just know you are going to be there no matter what and don’t give up.

1. Regular work out. The first and most important thing to build muscles is to create the work-out program that would suit you. The second thing is to follow it. Remember that only persistent work can bring good results. Make a commitment to work out. Plan your week and include regular work-outs in your plan. During one work-out don’t try to build all of your muscles at once. Train some groups of muscles on one day and other groups on another. Make the intensity of your work-outs very high. Give 100% effort.

2. Healthy and nutrient-rich diet is the second way to increase the speed of your muscle growth. Muscles need a lot of energy and the growth material. Fat and carbohydrates are the energy sources and protein is the building material. There are “good” and “bad” carbs and fats. Good carbs are poly carbs. They are digested slowly and do not turn into fat like simple or mono carbs do. “Good” fats are non-saturated fats. They are non animal fats. These fats don’t cause heart diseases like animal fats do. So be selective in the energy sources. Eat more protein if you are expecting your muscles to grow fast.

3. Give your muscles the proper rest. Some people think that if they worked out every day and don’t rest, they would build their muscles fast. This is not true. Muscles need some time to recover and to restore their fibers from the damage done during the training. Muscle fibers brake during the work-out, that creates he stimuli for muscles to grow. The growth happens during rest. So do not spend your time in the gym ineffectively. Give your muscles at least 48 hour for relaxing. You can use visualization exercises at the rest time. Picture yourself working out. It absolutely helps too.

Combine these fast ways to build muscles and the time where you will enjoy your new perfect body will arrive quickly.
