Know Your Finances - The 1st Step Towards Financial Freedom

One of the greatest mistakes you can make in managing money is not knowing where your money is going. About 90% of people who come to see me do not know exactly how they spend their money. Some may have small notebooks where they scrawl their monthly accounts but when they start to put everything down on paper, they are always surprised, if not shocked, to see the real state of their finances.

As obvious as it seems, most people just do not know their finances. This is always the most difficult part of managing money because, invariably, this is often when they realise they are spending more than what they earn. Money matters simply scare people. They are terrified to know how out of control their finances are. Yet, this is precisely what needs to be done before you can start working on a solution.

Planning and goal setting are critical to your success if you want to become financially secure. The two key traits of people who do not achieve this are, firstly, they tend to spend all of the money they have and, secondly, they do not know what they spend their money on. The lack of planning and goal setting is the main culprit. This is often referred to as “spending unconsciously”.

Unconscious spending is more prevalent in our society than we realise. The reason why people spend without giving it much thought is they have no goals. Without goals, you live unconsciously from moment to moment, you never plan for the future, you spend all of your money, and as a result, you are unlikely to ever become wealthy.

All good businesses manage their operations by planning and budgeting. They have benchmarks that they budget to and compare their profit and loss results. Major expense items, such as salaries, rent or advertising, are calculated as a percentage of sales and operating performance is analysed according to these percentages. There is no reason why you should not manage your own finances in this way.

The glue that holds all successful business practices together is the master budget. It ties in all facets of the business - marketing, selling, financing, research and development, and personnel management. Without a good master budget that incorporates all activities of a business, an organisation will end up floundering. And a floundering business is rarely profitable.

The budget provides the cohesion between the differing objectives of diverse parts of the business and creates a unified goal for the total organisation to work towards. It enhances motivation, delegates responsibility and provides important feedback on the progress of individuals and the organisation as a whole. Not bad, for a simple system - budgeting - that we all thought someone installed to punish us for our mistakes.

Budgets are not punishment. They are important, useful tools that guide us to where we want to go. They allow us to plan for our future yet control our circumstances along the way. They are not meant to be exact, but rather flexible and accommodating. They should change when we change, yet still be resilient enough to prevent us from going off the rails. They point us in the right direction and correct us when we fail. Without a budget for our finances, we are trying to win the 100-yard dash blindfolded.

In fact, if you use the same principles and apply them to your own personal finances you are well on the way to achieving financial independence.

Whilst it is important to become relaxed and carefree with your financial matters, this does not mean careless. You become carefree with money when you know that it is not a scarce resource, you set your financial goals, you invest a little time on a regular basis to plan and review your finances, and you systemically set aside part of your earnings regularly to build your savings and investments for the future.

You are careless with money when you do not keep track of what you are spending and squander money on things that are wasteful, extravagant and not needed.

Money management is about building a strong financial foundation that cannot be shattered regardless of what you may be faced with in the future. Regrettably, strong foundations take a little time to build. For those who want the instant wins and instant cures, their impatience is often the cause of their turbulent finances. If you are tired of worrying about money, now is the time to change. Take a little time out and start to think about what you really want. Set up a plan, follow a budget and be prepared to give it time to allow your money to grow.

3 Simple Overlooked Steps To 6 Pack, Ripped Abs

Step. 1 Why all the 30,50, 75 reps of abs crunches per, reverse crunches, or oblique crunches per set? I bet your back hurts from performing that many reps doesn’t it?

Try training your abdominals using loaded reps of 12, 15, and even 20 reps. You see, the abdominal muscles are predominantly phasic(fast twitch) muscles. They respond better to loaded reps.

Try using 2-3 sets of the above reps, and feel what happens to your abdominals. You should literally feel them tighten up. Provided though, that you follow steps 2 and 3.

Step. 2 Don’t over train your abdominals. Again, what would your triceps feel and look like if you trained them everyday? Your abdominals then are no different.

One day you can train lower abs. Ex. Hanging Leg Raises.(Provided your lower abdominals are coordinated and firing right. This is a topic for another article) Another day you can train your obliques. Ex. Cable Wd Chops. Then on the 3rd day you can train your upper abdominals. Ex. Swiss Ball Db Crunch.

Training your abs this way will allow each section to recover and develop into a sheath of rock hard muscle! Provided though that you follow step 3.

Step.3 Perform interval training to burn more fat that surrounds your midsection. Since there is no such thing as spot reduction, interval training is a sure way to burn the fat that surrounds your midsection.

Your metabolic rate will be increased for several hours after interval training to. Why wouldn’t you want this? Talk about efficient training! Talk about those abs starting to appear again!

Think of interval training as the chisel the sculptor(us) uses to give the sculpture(our body) the defining look of excellence.

You are probably saying, what the heck are you talking about?! It’s true though. Look at interval training as that. The tool to give you the polished, ripped, set of 6 pack abs you seek.

Happy sculpting!:-)

The Secret is No Secret- It’s Just Kabbalah

When I watched the DVD of the bestselling book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, I had to smile. Not because I thought the principles taught were funny, but because I had known about them for years. Not only that, they come right out of the Jewish mystical tradition called Kabbalah - although people rarely talk about this fact. The people featured on the The Secret discuss how to manifest what we want and how to create what we desire, by combining thought and feeling. They don’t talk too much about the need for action as well, but it is somewhat implied. This technology for conscious manifestation can be found clearly Jewish mystical teachings.

First, the Kabbalistic creation story involves God manifesting the world with a series of 10 utterances. In other words, God spoke the world into existence. What precedes words? Thoughts. What precedes thoughts? Letters. The Kabbalists believed that the foundation of the world consists of the Aleph Bet, or Hebrew alphabet. Why? Because letters create thoughts that are expressed in words, and when words are spoken (ie. God said, “Let there be light, and there was light.”) they have an effect. In other words (excuse the pun), letters have a creative energy, and when combined into words , those words create worlds.

Second, if you look just beyond this creation story, you will find the Kabbalistic description of the Four Worlds of Creation. The Four Worlds, simply translated as Being, Thinking, Feeling, and Doing, provide a pathway for manifestation in the physical plane. We begin with the world of connection with Divine energy from which the will to create something - inspiration - comes. Moving that energy into thoughts of what we want, we then take that thought into a feeling place - we experience what it would be like to have what we want. Finally, in the fourth world we take action towards what we want. It’s also possible to use the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, with its 10 sefirot, or emanations, and follow a similar path to conscious creation.

And then, if you want the physical manifestations of your desires to seem really magical, try using an incantation when you visualize or speak what you want into existence. The Aramaic word “abracadabra” literally means “He has created as he has spoken” - manifestation according to the power of words. Abracadabra comes from the verb “daber,” which refers to organizing “speech.” Our speech orders things - as in creating order out of chaos - into being. In biblical Hebrew the expression would be “abrakaamra,” which comes from the verb “omer” and refers to the creative “word” itself. So, our words have a creative ability. Thus, the secret is revealed: Our thoughts and our words are creative. Any Kabbalist could have told you that.

Low Credit Score Home Mortgage Refinance

If you are beginning the process of searching for a lender to refinance your home with and you have less than perfect credit, it is important to know what options are available to you. Although the lender’s approval or disapproval is contingent upon many factors, if an applicant has damaged credit then this will play a significant part in not only obtaining the loan but in the terms and rates of the loan.

Get a Copy of Your Credit Report

When you do go to refinance your home, it is important that you have an accurate copy of your credit report prior. This will allow you to read your credit report and to discern whether or not any inaccuracies have been reported. Most lenders consider the credit history of an applicant on a case by case basis. In other words, if someone has a credit report that shows only recent negative marks, then that may be looked upon differently and probably less harshly than someone who has consistent negative marks. It is important for you to explain to the lender and better yet have some proof, the reasons for your current or past delinquencies. This will give you a higher chance of approval verses that of an applicant who can’t justify his or her continuous delinquencies.

Make Your Payments On Time

The other factor that a lender will analyze is how consistently are current payments being paid. If you are behind in only some payments, then that is looked upon differently than someone who is behind in all payments. It also makes a difference as to what types of loans that an individual is behind in. For example, if you are behind in some credit card payments, then that will be reviewed differently then if you are behind in your mortgage or auto loan payments. Likewise the age of the delinquent accounts, and the amount of their outstanding balances, will also play a role when you go to refinance your mortgage as to the risk factor that the lender asses.

Evaluate Different Options and Loan Terms

After speaking with a lender, and after you have carefully analyzed the numbers and decided that refinancing is the correct route, then evaluate the different refinance options in order to choose the best loan. If you have damaged credit, then you will pay a higher interest rate than someone with perfect credit. It is important to consider the actual cost of the entire loan. Lenders fees can vary widely. Insist upon receiving a Good Faith Estimate that lists the specific charges, not a range of charges for each item. This will help you to compare the different lender costs and ultimately help you to determine which loan is best for you.

Choosing Patio Flooring

The patio flooring you choose needs to be easy to maintain and clean, as well as durable. It is the most important feature of the patio because it is so visible. No matter what type of furniture you have on your patio, if you do not have appealing flooring, the patio will not look as elegant as you want. The flooring must be able to withstand the weight of the furniture you have and the constant pulling and pushing that you often do with patio chairs. Weather is another factor to look at when you choose flooring because even though you are not using the patio during the winter, the flooring is still exposed to the elements.

The flooring for a patio can be wood, vinyl or composite materials. The pattern you choose will affect the overall structure of the patio because in order to install the flooring you have to consider the size of the patio and where you want to place railings, grill or planters. If you choose wood, having the bark side exposed is more attractive because the rings and the grain are visible. The bark side is also better able to hold the water and this keeps the wood flooring from warping.

When you use wood flooring, you usually nail or screw the flooring to the frame of the patio. When you use these to mount the boards to the joists, it ensures that the patio is secure and stable. Most homeowners prefer to use screws because they are easier to remove than nails without damaging the wood.

You need to have space between the boards so that water from the rain or melting snow will drain off the patio. You also have to allow for the shrinkage of the wood when you place the boards because you may end up with them too far apart.

Who’s Managing Your Manager?

If you are a music artist that has a need for someone to: filter communications between you and third parties that have expressed a professional interest in your services as an artist, or the use of your music; negotiate contracts and offers of employment; schedule and coordinate your professional activities; direct and interface with the various members of your support team; and provide counsel pertaining to the most advantageous or strategic career moves to make, then you need a competent professional manager.

If you don’t have such business affairs pending, then you don’t really need a manager. Many music artists cling to the false notion that their manager will help them get gigs or a record deal. While those notions are not entirely true, they are not entirely untrue either. Some managers will (illegally and unknowingly) book gigs for their acts in an effort to become immediately and actively involved.

Some ambitious mangers may even take on music artists before they have any real business affairs to manage, and pursue a record deal for them with the intent of generating activities and income that warrant their involvement. This is not the norm, so consider yourself very lucky if it does happen to you. Managers get paid a commission on the income that you make, so if you are making nothing, then what do you think they will be paid? This is what managers refer to as a “non-commissionable” client - which is what you are until you generate revenue.

While every professional started out with no experience at one time or another, you must be aware of the exploitive and predatory nature of the music industry. Personal managers who do not fully understand the dynamics of the music business can not efficiently help navigate you through the illogical maze of industry operations that make success so elusive.

If you happen to find an inexperienced manager (or if one finds you) that you trust and feel will be dedicated to helping you achieve success, then work with them; but accept and understand the following: a) there is truly no substitute for experience, b) their experience may come at your expense and c) if they ever feel overwhelmed or unsure, they can - and should - consult with an entertainment attorney.

Before you get a record deal or have a myriad of activities to handle, your inexperienced manager will be very eager to execute whatever business related tasks you have for them. But if you do get a record deal and are suddenly thrust into the cryptic and methodical music business game where the players are savvy, seasoned veterans who know the finer points and strategies of deal making, you will find that your attorney will provide much needed guidance to your inexperienced manager, and a reason for you to relax.

With a lack of experience, your personal manager will rely heavily on his/her communication, follow-through, and people skills. They should also do whatever they can to learn more about the music industry. If by chance you find that you are telling them what to say to people, or what to do and how to do it, then you have a problem that begets the question: Who’s managing your manager?

If you harbor any doubts or suspicions about your manager’s competence (or in this case motivation and potential) you should end the relationship as quickly as possible. In the end, you would much rather be an artist whose inexperienced manager is gaining confidence and experience as a result of being managed by an attorney, than an artist who is managing their manager.

How To Avoid Car Accidents Due To A Flat Tire

There are many hazards out there on the roadways. Beyond bad weather and road construction there are other drivers to worry about. We are taught defensive driving so that we can protect ourselves from the mistakes made by other drivers. Who teaches us how to protect ourselves from our own mistakes? People make simple mistakes all the time that lead to accidents and I want to talk about one of the most common errors drivers make.

Having a tire go flat while driving leads to many accidents that can easily be avoided if drivers can learn to think more and react less. If you get a flat tire while driving you must resist the urge to slam on your brakes. When we find ourselves in automotive danger, our first instinct is usually to get the car stopped. This is not wholly a bad idea. What is important is how quickly you come to a stop.

If you are driving on a highway and get a flat tire and brake too drastically, you risk causing an unnecessary accident. Apply minimal pressure to your brakes and slow down slowly. A flat tire can make it very difficult to steer properly and if you brake too hard you may lose control of your vehicle. It is important to get your vehicle out of the flow of traffic but please do so slowly.

When your car gets a flat tire while driving, steer straight until you have slowed down. Try to alert other drivers by turning on your hazard lights if you can. Once you have slowed down, steer your vehicle gently off of the road. Be sure to park far enough away from the roadway so that you can address the flat tire without putting yourself at risk of being hit by oncoming traffic.

The best way to avoid the dangers of getting a flat tire is to keep an eye on your tire pressure. Check your tires every week or so and make sure that they are not over or under-filled. This is a quick and easy way to ensure your driving safety. Keep an appropriate spare tire in your trunk and the necessary tools in case of a flat tire. Make sure that your hazard lights are in working condition once a week and most importantly, stay calm when driving. Having a tire go flat does not have to be a dangerous occurrence. If you stay on top of your reactions, you can navigate through this and any driving danger.

Mastering The Secret Science of The Law Of Attraction

By now I am sure you’ve either seen the movie ‘The Secret’ or someone has recommended it to you. It has fast become the phenomenon that is sweeping the world selling thousands of copies of the book and DVD per day. It has been featured on OPRAH, Larry King Live and Ellen, as well as in Times Magazine, Newsweek and on CNN. There seems to be a global interest in the concept of deliberately creating the life you desire, a resurgence in spiritual principles as so many people are craving less struggle and wanting more joy, more health, and more money in their lives. The movies producer, Rhonda Byrne, has said that the idea of ‘The Secret’ came from a book she was given by her daughter, entitled, “The Science of Getting Rich”, by Wallace Wattles written in 1910.

So what exactly is this secret science? It is the Law Of Attraction. And it is the most powerful of all the Universal Laws that govern our planet. To many of you ,this may be a new concept, to others, you might have read or known about it but were unsure how to apply it in your daily lives. Let me explain what the Law of Attraction is.

The Law of Attraction states that what you focus on you attract into your physical reality. Like attracts like. It states that our Universe is one infinite mass of dynamic, vibrating, energy that responds to our thoughts, and that matter is formed by the thoughts you think. Basically, thoughts become things. Whatever you ‘think about’ you ‘bring about’. Wattles says in “The Science of Getting Rich”, ‘A person’s way of doing things is the direct result of the way he thinks about things.’ Every thing that’s coming into your life you are attracting in your life and it is attracted by the images you hold in your mind. One of the reasons that this truth is resonating so deeply with so many of us is that we all know, on some level, that the Law of Attraction does work. We see the evidence of it in our own lives every day. Have you ever wondered why you seem to create the same jobs, the same relationships, the same money problems, and the same tiredness or lack of robust health over and over again. Now, you may say ‘I’m certainly not doing that consciously’, but whether consciously, unconsciously or by default, the same problems keep showing up in your life.

I don’t think I fully understood the Law of Attraction until someone explained quantum physics to me in very simple terms. This is how it works. Quantum physics, the study of the building blocks of nature, takes molecules and breaks them down to atoms and then breaks them down again to sub atomic particles. At this sub atomic point physicists have learned that everything is made up of energy, the same energy. This means the chair you’re sitting in is energy, the bed you sleep on is energy, the car you drive is energy. YOU are energy operating in a larger field of energy. What is the difference between the chair, the bed, your car, YOU? It is the rate this energy is vibrating in.

Upon further investigation, science determined that our Universe and our reality are directed by something called the ‘observer’. The Observer Effect was discovered when two scientists, given the same experiment to conduct, and conducting it under the exact same conditions, repeatedly kept coming up with entirely different outcomes. What they found out was pretty amazing. The outcome became whatever the scientist conducting the experiment expected, or thought it would be. In other words, it became predictable.

Ok, so what does this mean for us? Well, if everything in our world is energy and we are all made of the same stuff; particles of energy, and predictable outcome is determined by the ‘observer’, and we have the ability to influence the ‘observer’, then we really are the directors, the creators, of our reality. We are in charge of directing this power to do anything, be anything we choose. What we think will happen happens!

“there is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which,
in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fill the interspaces of the
universe. A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imaged by the
thought. A person can form things in his thought, and by impressing his
thought upon formless substance can cause the thing he thinks about to be
created.”

~Wallace Wattles

It’s important to know that The Law of Attraction is impartial. If we have a thought, no matter what it may be, and we think it repeatedly and over time, it will manifest in our lives. The Law of Attraction is always working. For instance, you have the thought ‘I can’t deal with all this stress in my life’ and the Universe, like the genie in the bottle, sees to it that that which you focus on with emotion is yours. So what do you get, more stress. Or you think ‘I will never get out of this debt’, and because thoughts become things, you never really seem able to become financially free. It is as if you are stuck, in a holding pattern that you cannot get out of. Until you change your thoughts. This can be done with a just shift in your awareness. The following are 5 ways you can set the Law of Attraction into motion in your life today:

1) DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT.

Be specific about the details. Write it out. Find pictures that resonate with you. Use words and phrases, post them around your house or office. Send away for brochures or more information. Define goals as precisely as possible.

2) DECIDE YOU DESERVE IT.

Focus on why you deserve it, then make it a knowing. Purpose behind your intention will attract it quickly into you life.

3) BELIEVE IT IS ON ITS WAY.

The more realistic your desire becomes the faster you pull it toward you. Step into it as if it has already manifested. Speak as if it is in the process of happening.

4) BE GRATEFUL.

Gratitude shifts your attitude and your awareness. It clears your mind of useless worry and excessive clutter. Direct focus of gratitude keeps you from being impatient or negative. Focus on all the good that is already in your life and more will be added to you.

5) ALLOW YOUR DESIRE IN.

You must be a vibrational match to what you desire. Stay up, open, positive, excited happy. Trust the process of life. Keep a hopeful perspective. Know that the good you desire is yours. Take action when something presents itself and soon you will have created it.

The Law Of Attraction is not new, nor is it a secret. Avatars throughout the ages have taught this knowledge. It is being made available again and is now more mainstream than ever. Programs, classes, articles, seminars are surfacing daily. The information is now just a mouse click away. If anything that you have read resonates with you or causes you to have questions you’d like to have answered follow the link on the page, sign up for the 7 lessons, they are my free gift to you.

Isn’t it time you started living the life you’ve always dreamed of having. It’s possible you know. You can do, have or be anything. We live in a world where the possibilities are infinite. I believe we are just tipping the iceberg of understanding our capabilities and in the years to come more and more people will be deliberately and consciously choosing to create and attract their best life.

Menopause and Diet

Menopause is called by some people ” the change” because it is the time in a woman’s life when her period or “cycle” stops. During this time a woman’s body slowly produces less of the hormone Estrogen and Progesterone. When a woman has not had a period for 12 months in a row, she has reached menopause. This often happens around the ages of 45 to 55 years old. Every woman’s symptoms are different when reaching this stage in their lives. As we get older our digestive tract becomes less efficient and digestion takes longer. Calorie counting women sometimes find that long hours in a gym has minimal effect on their weight loss. The reason for this is the imbalance of estrogen in their body.

Growing up, Estrogen protects women from some effects of a high fat diet. Postmenopausal women have lower levels of Estrogen, and this leads to lower levels of HDL or (good cholesterol) and a rise in LDL (bad cholesterol) which is why rates of heart disease among menopausal and postmenopausal women are as high as those among men in similar age group. Estrogen is important and vital function for orchestrating menstruation. This imbalance of Estrogen is characterized by an abundance of symptoms. Some of these symptoms include: mood swings, feeling anxious, painful periods, hot flashes, and low libido. Should we try to use hormone therapy to balance out the imbalance in our bodies? As with all drug therapy’s you should consult a physician .

For some women hormone therapy may increase their chances of getting blood clots, heart attacks, strokes, and breast cancer. Before embarking on hormone replacement therapy, investigate a natural alternative. Diet is a primary factor in keeping blood sugar levels consistent, which is critical for keeping tissues healthy and preventing degenerative diseases. Stay away from junk foods. When cooking don’t use processed cooking oils switch to unprocessed oils, like virgin olive oil, canola, and flaxseed oil. Try to reduce intake of animal proteins, choose lean meats and low fat dairy. To get you through this stage in life women emotional help from people around her and understanding on the processes that are going on with her body.

A good diet and some natural supplements to balance out our hormonal imbalances at this stage in our life is highly recommended. Zalestrais an ALL-NATURAL product we recommend. No synthetic chemicals no artificial hormones, and you can try it Risk Free Simply go to: ZalestraSite.com

Try Buying You’re Live Lobster Online…It’s More Than Worth It

Live lobster has not always been considered a delicacy, but during the last 200 hundred years or so, it has really caught on as one…and for very good reason. Lobster is not exactly the most difficult food or delicacy to find, it’s finding the perfect lobster at the perfect price that is tricky. Most people are used to shopping for lobster just like anything else, at their local grocery store or supermarket, and by doing so are left with less then superb lobster and highly overprice lobster. Since the invention of the internet and rapid transportation however, this no longer has to be an existent problem.

There are many advantages to purchasing your lobster online as opposed to purchasing you’re lobster at you’re local grocery store:

- When purchasing lobster online, you are almost always purchasing directly from the docks that actually bring in fresh lobster everyday. You have no middle men or supermarkets to go through, and it only gets fresher if you’re actually there when they catch it.

- When you buy live lobster online directly from the people who catch it, the only lag time or delay you have is in the actual shipping process which is extremely quick. There is no shipping from 5 different points, it really is a matter of right from the source to you.

- When you purchase from the source, you are far more likely to receive superior service as opposed to your local super market, and much more attention to the detail of you’re order. It took me a while to find my perfect source, but once I found them and tried them, I use them for all my lobster and seafood needs!

- Here’s the biggy….because you are buying directly from the source and there are no middle men or other businesses involved, you are almost ALWAYS getting a much better price on you’re live lobster then you would at a local store or shop. When you buy direct from the source, they also have the ability to offer you many more discounts and add on packages to your order!

If these reasons alone are not enough to get you to at least try buying you’re lobster online as opposed to purchasing you’re lobster at your local shops and stores…you must not really enjoy you’re lobster! I too used to shop for my lobster at my local places before I was suggested to online for my lobster…now I’ll never go back! This is not something that you’ll be sorry about and I highly recommend that you give online lobster buying a shot!

If you’re a lobster lover like I am, you can’t afford to miss out on preparing the best lobster you’ve ever had. If you want to try buying live lobster via the internet, then I highly recommend that you give it a try. Just make sure that you know who the right source is and what to look for when buying you’re lobster online. http://www.squidoo.com/livelobster/
