Ten Essential Things to Do When You Visit Tunisia

Whether you are a history buff who loves visiting archaeological and historic places or a classic vacationer who is in for some adventure on a foreign place, Tunisia is the place for you. From the beautiful beaches to the momentous landmarks, you will surely find that Tunisia is yet another great place in Northern Africa to visit. Here are some places that you have to visit.

1.) Tunisia’ Coastal Farmlands

The known Atlas Mountains divide Tunisia into two - the crop-yielding and the barren region. You will find the coastal farmlands of Tunisia to be surprisingly heterogeneous, meaning you won’t see the same site twice. If you think farmlands are boring, wait until you visit Tunisia’s farmlands.

2.) Saharan Oases

Tunisia covers a part of the Sahara, the largest in the world. Because only the edge of Sahara is covered by Tunisia, Saharan Oases are abundant in the place. Get a glimpse of the Saharan life by going to Tunisia’s Saharan Oases.

3.) Beaches in Tunisia

The best beaches in Tunisia are found in Jarbah and Hammament. Because of Tunisia’s coastal position, many beaches can be found in the place. The kind of experience you will have in Tunisia’s beaches is bound to be one of a kind because of the hot weather condition.

4.) Ancient City of Carthage

Tunisia was founded by Carthagians - Phoenician traders who eventually settled into the land and built their own city there. Until now, the vestiges of the Ancient City of Carthage still stand strong. If you are into history, you will surely love the sight of it.

5.) Roman ruins at Northeastern Tunisia

Once upon a time, Tunisia was under the rule of the Roman Empire. A visit to Dongya and El Djem will have you enraptured as you see the splendor of Roman architecture. Make sure that you visit the Amphitheater, which was built as early as the 3rd A.D.

6.) Fortified Granaries in Tunisia

To protect their crops from invading nomads from nearby lands, the early people of Tunisia built granaries of impressive architectural design and structure. Until now, these granaries still stand strong and, in fact, have been visited by tourists all around the world. You will surely be impressed with the splendor of Tunisian architecture.

7.) Tunis Panorama

After having treated yourself to a multitude of history trips, you ought to visit the capital of Tunisia, Tunis. Tunis Panorama is very well unlike other capital cities as you will feel as if you are in two places at once. Tunis is divided into two areas - the Muslim quarter associated with narrow and meandering streets and the European quarter with the capacious streets built during the occupation of French in Tunis.

8.) Mosque of Sidi Sahib

If you are interested in matters of religion, you would love Tunisia’s mosque of Sidi Sahib. It is the resting place of Sidi Sahib, a known associate of the founder of Islam faith, Muhammad. Religion buffs as well as pilgrims all over the place flock to this special place of Islam.

9.) Rediscovery of Faith

Most people who have been to Tunisia claim that they have gained a renewed sense of faith. Because the majority of the Tunisian people are Muslims, you will certainly find your faith in the front line. Tunisia is the place to go if you want to have peace and quiet as well as answers to your questions of religion.

10.) Tunisian Market

Though the products of Tunisia are not as popular as other African products, you are bound to purchase a lot of cheap items in Tunisia, most especially in Tunis. Tunis is a commercial port. Its strategic location has allowed a variety of goods to be sold at a thrifty price.

How to Get a Solid Grip on Your Retirement Money Wise

This is something you don’t want to screw up. Is it possible to screw up retirement planning? Of course it is. If you speak to senior citizens who did not start planning in advance and got to their senior years with nothing to fall back on and no funds to use so they can step out of the working world and enjoy a more leisurely retirement lifestyle, that is an example of people who screwed up their retirement planning. So it’s good to know the common mistakes people make so you can avoid them.

Probably the biggest mistake that you can make in your retirement planning is to wait to start it until you are pretty close to retirement. If you want to retire at 60 and you don’t start getting ready until you are 55, you will not have nearly as well prepared a retirement package as if you had started when you was 25 or 35. By starting early, you can set back a small amount each month and put it into an IRA, your employer’s 401k or some other retirement vehicle. Then just let that money continue to accumulate and grow and before you know it you are sitting on top of a pretty substantial nest egg.

Speaking of sitting on top of a nest egg, the second big mistake people make is not leaving that nest egg alone. When that retirement investment fund starts to get big, it is really easy to look at it as a way to get you out of credit card debt trouble or to borrow against for some new plan or possession you want. Above all, resist this temptation. If you lose that retirement fund due to foolish use of the funds in your middle age years, you are back to square one with nothing to show for your years of hard work developing that retirement nest egg.

The plan of setting up withholding from your checkbook or a direct deposit to your retirement account of retirement savings allows you to go about your busy life knowing that your retirement planning is underway. This is step one but its not a good idea to never go back and review your retirement plan and see if how you are going about getting ready for retirement well in advance. Make it a regular ritual to sit down and review what is going on with your investment funds. Look at the way your investments have been performing and if you are not getting a good return on those money, make some changes. Remember, just because your retirement funds are being managed by the company you work for doesn’t mean the money belongs to them. It’s yours so be responsible and manage it.

Starting early and staying proactive about your retirement is your best approach to retirement planning and one that will result in a much bigger retirement fund for you to start your golden years with. And by taking good care of your retirement before you need it, you are guaranteeing that it will take good care of you when its time to depend on that fund for a happy and prosperous retirement lifestyle

Why Distance Learning is Getting Popular Day By Day?

So you’re busy working toward that next promotion, but you know the boss is seeking someone with a graduate degree in hand. But quitting your job so you can go back to college full time is out of the question; you’ve got bills to pay and a family to feed - you need the money.

If you have access to a computer, a phone line and a modem, you may be closer than you think to that master’s degree. Welcome to the world of virtual education, or as those not so technically savvy call it, distance learning. With more dotcom sites than ever popping up on the Internet, colleges and universities are jumping at the chance to get their share of the action.
According to a 1999 U.S. News and World Report, the number of accredited two- and four-year institutions with distance learning programs large enough to merit administrators has jumped 127 percent to 682 schools since 1994. A third of all colleges, including Harvard and Stanford, offer some form of distance learning.

Online instruction varies from one degree program to the next. Some classrooms are constructed through message boards, while other instructors prefer the use of videotaped lectures or teleconferencing. So without leaving the comfort of your living room, you could be on the path to earning a degree. But unfortunately, for many unsuspecting students there are plenty of shams in the world of virtual education.

According to Vicky Phillips, a distance education counselor who publishes the Virtual University Gazette, the key to finding a reputable online college is accreditation. Accreditation, explained Phillips, is important if you hope to have a public record of your learning that will be widely accepted.

If you find the college of your choice doesn’t offer online degrees, don’t give up pursuing an education from that school. Many colleges and universities offer virtual certification programs which let students earn certificates through distance learning. For example, students can receive a certificate in systems engineering and apply the credits toward a master of engineering degree.

Online Dating Mistakes In Email - 6 Reasons She Doesn’t Write You Back

Online dating mistakes are common, so don’t get discouraged. How many emails have you written to women, without responses? Probably lots. But that’s Ok, I have too! However, once you understand the main reasons WHY she doesn’t write you back, you’ll be able to ramp up your email game and start to get a lot more replies!

1. You didn’t get her attention.

She gets a TON of emails, every day. Hot women on busy sites can get easily over a hundred a day. That’s some serious competition! If you don’t get her attention fast, you’ll be forgotten instantly and she’ll move on without replying. And how do you do it? Be interesting, insightful, interested in her, and funny as hell!

For other tips on how to write an email, see my other article on How To Write A Seductive Email. See below for links.

2. She thinks you are shallow.

Hot women know that most guys are just contacting them because they are hot. As much as it’s an ego boost for them, knowing you think they are hot doesn’t them any real reason to write you back.

  • Don’t ask for sexier photos of her.

  • Don’t kiss her butt and tell her how hot she is over and over.

  • Don’t ask her how much she weighs… EVER.

  • Don’t ask for body shots of her (until several emails later)

3. Your photo sucks.

It doesn’t matter how great your email is, if your picture makes you look like a sack of crap, you aren’t getting a response. Before you start worrying about your looks, there are two things you need to know… First, a bad photo will make the hottest guy look ugly, second, the right photo can make you look great. One great photo will make or break your online dating results.

For rules of how to have a great online dating photo, see below for link.

4. You were crass, rude, or sexual.

A lot of things can turn a girl off, but few like being crass, rude, or sexual. She’s a woman, not one of your buddies, so don’t try to get her attention by shock value. Yes, it works from time to time, but for the most part, she’ll just delete your email.

  • Don’t use any four letter words… you know the ones I mean.

  • Don’t ask her what her favorite sex position is.

  • Don’t ask her about her erotic fantasies.

  • Don’t ask if she has any nude photos.

5. You throw up her red flags.

She doesn’t want your baggage and insecurities. She definitely doesn’t want to hear you crying about them in your email. So forget even mentioning your ex, your problems, your addictions, your failures or your insecurities… Never email her more than once before she replies, you aren’t going to change her mind by looking needy.

  • Don’t email her more than once in between her replies.

  • Don’t talk about your exes.

  • Don’t talk about the bad dates you have had.

  • Don’t talk about why you think online dating sucks.

6. She’s just not that into you.

No matter what you do, some girls just aren’t going to be that into you. Maybe she only dates short dorky poor guys, maybe you remind her of her brother, you’ll probably never know.

If you present yourself in your best light, have a great photo, display your personality and value as a man… and she still doesn’t email you back? It’s her, not you.

On the other hand, if your profile isn’t polished to perfection, you don’t have the best photo you could possibly have, and you aren’t writing emails that shine like diamonds against coal… you’ve got some work to do.

Happy dating!

Ten Things to Do and See in Seychelles

Seychelles is located in the Indian Ocean and is composed of 115 islands. It is near the East African coast as well as Madagascar. Although there is still some instability with regards to their politics, it is still a favorite tourist destination, and here are ten things that you can do when you are in Seychelles.

1.) Go shopping

The most popular place where you can go shopping is in Victoria, the capital of Seychelles. You can find here souvenirs that you can take home to your family as well as a lot of native products that are made from seashells. You can also purchase locally-made pearl jewelries here as well as paintings and other forms of artworks.

2.) Taste the native cuisine

It really is a must that you taste an authentic Seychelles meal. There are so many restaurants that offer Seychelles cuisine which is highly influenced by Creole cooking. You will definitely love their fresh seafood dishes, especially the red snapper.

3.) Mind that beer belly

Who could not resist tasting some of Seychelles’ very own brand of beer like the Seybrew beer? This is a must for any tourists as it is a perfect accompaniment as you enjoy the balmy nights on the beach. If you want rum, then there is also the Takamara Rum.

4.) Enjoy the nightlife

Since Seychelles is a famous tourist destination, you will always find bars and discos here. They are mostly located though where the hotels are most abundant since this is where most tourists stay. You can also watch in their theatres as well as in their cinemas, or you can always have fine dining in their trendy bistros.

5.) Visit Seychelles’ beaches

The reason why tourists flock to Seychelles is its splendid beaches. You will also enjoy them as most of them are still undeveloped, and this is perfect for those who want to have a little privacy. Nothing can compare with the beauty of clear skies and blue waters when you are relaxing in a Seychelles beach.

6.) Go to the Vallee De Mai

This is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is located in one of Seychelles’ islands named Praslin. It boasts of housing the biggest seed called the coco de mer.

7.) Go snorkeling and scuba diving

Seychelles offers the best snorkeling sites in the world. For those who enjoy snorkeling, then the Aldabra Atoll is a must-see as it is considered to be world’s biggest coral, which is said to be where the giant land tortoise used to live. Now, you will see tiger sharks as well as the great manta rays swim in its depths.

8.) Go sail boating or yachting

There are sailboats as well as yachts that can be rented. They will take you on tours around the islands as well as take you island hopping. What better way to explore Seychelles that see some of its islands, inhabited or otherwise?

9.) Enjoy land sports

Water sports are not the only thing that Seychelles offer as there are other land sports as well. Here, get to enjoy some good rounds of tennis or golf as well as badminton and squash. This is surely a fun way to spend a day with your family or loved one.

10.) Go nature tripping

In Seychelles, there are also great locations where you can go hiking or biking, and there are a lot of bike rentals for the tourists to rent. If you do not want to ride a bike, then you can go horse riding and still see the wonderful scenery that Seychelles has to offer. There are also bird watching tours in Seychelles especially in Cousin Island where you can find a variety of birds.

5 Ways to Use Cartooning to Make Your Company A Super Hero

Create WOW Factor and increase retention of your message and brand with Corporate Cartooning.
Please don’t tell me HRD/Training Managers that you’re still hanging those “Employee of the Month” plaques in your lobby that make even the most professional employee look like a felon– let alone valued and important! Alas, don’t admit that your training manuals would even put a die-hard reader of Popular Mechanics to Sleep! Do your Employee Retirement Parties bring tears to everyone in the room, particularly the retiree, because of a lack of imagination or real thought? Well, perhaps it’s time to get funny (literally) and create WOW! Training Materials and Recognition Programs that engage us and capture our attention. “Corporate Cartooning”

Cartooning and Animation represents a media that engages both a new generation of Gamers as well as the Traditional Comic Book Enthusiasts. Here are 5 ways to put Cartooning to Work to motivate, educate and reward both customers and employees in Training Programs, Annual Meetings and Corporate Recognition Events.

5 Ways to put Corporate Cartooning to Work in Your Company:
1. Bring the WOW Factor to Customer and Employee Appreciation Gifts. Yeah, sure you can have a thumb drive or specialty gift basket imprinted with your logo to give to valued customers and employees, or you can really show your VIPs how special they are by creating a Personal Cartoon Sketch of them in front of the backdrop of your business. Trust me, with the thought that obviously went into the gift selection and creation they won’t throw it away.

2. Create a Comic Book for Compliance, Safety and Customer Service Training. It’s non-threatening and pretty darn funny when you have a”Dudley Does it Wrong” Character who does everything to irritate customers or violate safety procedures. The visual imagery and demonstration of what not to do is a powerful training technique for getting employees to do what you want them to do.

3. Host a Memorable Employee Retirement Party with your Own Bart Simpson. Present a Storybook and a multi-media that creates a heart felt retirement celebration. As a Facilitator, I have used multi-media presentations incorporating photos and music as well as animated characters to recognize the Guest of Honor. The animated characters are designed in the honorees image as well as other key team players who humor the audience with their banter of favorite corporate memories and upcoming plans for retirement. Traditional Roasting can be tedious in the hands of people who hate to do it and aren’t good at it. Animation combined with a Professional Master of Ceremonies makes it professional, easy and fun and allows for lots of input from the employees in the planning of the Cartoon Sketches. At the end of the retirement party, the honoree is presented with a literal children’s story book as a memorable keepsake.

Positive Workplace Campaign. This is one of my favorite cartooning techniques used to develop and promote a positive and inspired workplace. Battle your Negaholics! Remember the rule of Negative Contagion: Negative Energy Spreads faster than Positive in the Workplace. Try using your own Cartoon Character who presents Positive Workplace Messages that are linked to your team’s mission and values and clearly outline Rules of Team Behavior.

5. Use Corporate Cartooning in Product Launches, Trade Shows, Customer Events and Training Seminars. Note: Not just for fun, but linked to a specific marketing/educational message that creates impact and retention. Cartoon Characters are powerful advertising messengers (Think the Geiko gecko)

At Now to WOW! Training Services and Business Events, we put Cartooning to Work for our clients to motivate, educate and reward both customers and employees. Note: Our contracted animation and instructional storyboard artists can turn your project around often within 48 hours all via Internet/email correspondence.

A Womans Retirement

Saving up for retirement is something that is at least as important if not more important for women as it is for men preparing for the same time of their lives. And since women typically earn somewhat less than men during their careers, sitting down and thinking through the formula of how much to set aside for retirement should be a carefully considered act and one that is repeated frequently over the years to make sure you are on track.

This is especially true if your work is not in the conventional world of big business. If you make a good living running your own antique shop or as an entrepreneur as many women do, you have to think about your retirement planning yourself because you will not have the advantages of a company sponsored 401k plan to cash in on. So as soon as you feel you know that the way you make your living is not gong to change, start your saving and investing immediately.

On the other side of that equation, it might be worth taking a look at getting into a corporate situation entirely for the insurance and the retirement benefits. While there is often a “glass ceiling” in the business world, if you know why you are there which is to build a strong retirement planning package, you can leverage your position in the business world shrewdly and not have the stresses that many men endure in that same setting.

Above all, make it your private passion to learn all you can about investments and ways you can build your retirement portfolio. With the advent of internet trading, often a woman can start with very little and with some careful investing and conservative stock purchases, build up an impressive portfolio that can serve as an excellent retirement vehicle down the road.

Just as you may have done if you spent your working years in a family situation, you should look at how your money is used not only for the immediate value but as an investment down the road. It is often convenient to live in an apartment or rental property because when you are a working woman, upkeep on a home is a nuisance. And if you don’t like mowing the lawn and all of the other overhead of a home, that purchase may not fit your lifestyle.

Nonetheless, home ownership is one of the smartest ways to go about building equity in advance of retirement. You might look at buying a house as a big step toward financial independence in your retirement years. The way the tax laws are structured, you will get a lot of financial value out of home ownership and it can serve as the basis for further financial planning once your ownership of the home is secured. So take a second look at home ownership in a house with a yard and all of the trappings. If the overhead is too much to take on, you can often bring in renters or roommates who may enjoy that aspect of living in a house and you can cut them some slack on the rent if they take care of upkeep of the place.

By beginning to plan early in life for retirement later, women can do just as well as men in preparing for this important part of life. But you have to face the responsibilities of retirement planning squarely and not procrastinate on starting your investment and retirement portfolios far enough ahead that they will pay off later. If you do, you too can enjoy a peaceful and prosperous retirement years.

Learn Digital Photography - Which Digital Camera Is For You?

Before deciding on purchasing a digital camera, it is important that you set yourself a budget. This should happen before going online or visiting an electronics shop. It is just like purchasing any other large item else such as a computer. There are a lot of options, and you don’t want to get stuck biting off more than you can chew, expense-wise. High-end cameras offer the great zoom, more extra features and more megapixels.

Having more megapixels doesn’t mean you will have the great picture quality. Unfortunately these cameras can also take a huge bite out of your wallet if you are not careful. When you are starting out in the wide world of digital photography, it is easier to not spend a huge amount of money on the high-end SLR cameras. Look for cheaper, yet effective, compact digital cameras that are a lot easier to hold. The best thing to do is learn the basics with this digital camera and make sure you enjoy the hobby before spending the cash for higher-end digital cameras.

Some people don’t really enjoy going on airplanes or helicopters, how do they take those spectacular aerial photos? Guess what you don’t have to use planes or helicopters! Sometimes aerial shots on planes can sometimes get expensive unless you have a friend with a plane. Flying in a little plane around a city a couple of times can be quite frightening for some people. The little secret that few photographers know is: some “in-flight” photos are not actually taken from a plane. Quite the contrary, they are taken from a countryside or city vantage point. Being in the observation deck of a skyscraper will actually get you just about as high as a low flying plane would. Your photographs will look like aerial shots that were taken as you were flying around, but in fact you didn’t even enter in any aircraft.

Fall is one of the most pleasurable times for photographers. It brings beautiful orange, brown, and red leaf colors. If you plan on traveling to take advantage of nature’s yearly fireworks display, you need to ensure you get to your destination at the peak period to enjoy the best fall leaves. If you live in the US, the US Department of Agriculture has a website that displays fall foliage information by geographical area. Finding out the best times to visit areas is crucial.

A good place is New England. A well planned trip could be the best way to get some really extraordanary pictures. Information is updated as soon as conditions permit. If traveling is out of the question for you, check with your government agriculture website to see the best times. Good research results in spectacular pictures. Here is a good source for US photographers: The Foliage Network - http://www.foliagenetwork.com/

When you are taking fireworks photos a good location is always essential with your digital camera. As in any other type of digital photography, when shooting fireworks, composition is necessary. Before the show begins, find a good angle that will provide you with a clear picture of the upcoming fireworks. Having people in front of your camera is completely unacceptable, avoid it at all costs. Streetlights will fade out the fire works phenomenally; therefore it is best to avoid streetlamps. Basically finding the best possible shot, with few lights, few people and not against the law is difficult but doable. Sometimes have a view on a boat is helpful if the water is calm.

Sometimes taking photos at night is more difficult than it seems. Shooting photos at dusk may provide your camera with just enough light to take fantastic cityscape photos. The sky is decently dark at dusk, but not so dark to prevent some degree of sunlight entering your digital camera, making it easier to take hand-held photos that do not result all blurry due to ‘camera-shake’. If you are looking for a superb nighttime photo, it would be better to consider taking your photos at dusk instead of in the pitch black of night. Dusk only lasts for an hour or so. Research your shot locations and time beforehand. Keep your eye on the weather in the location you selected and make sure its not raining the day you decide to go out.

When you are taking pictures of a parade it is best to not ruin time by trying to focus after every picture. It is best to shoot as many photos as possible during a parade, think about buying a focus lock. This keeps your shutter button held halfway down and don’t completely release it after taking a photo. Or you might want to set your camera up for manual focus. This way, you can take several photos in succession, or use your camera’s “drive” mode for multiple shots within a small range of time. This would enable you to take a bunch of photos without having to refocus for each shot and your digital camera should function much quicker. Though you may want to set up and refocus for certain special shots, other times you may have just as much fun continuously shooting as the action in a parade can happen very fast.

When you are taking digital pictures on sunny days, you must be careful. Sometimes the sun can completely damage your electronic camera. Taking pictures of sunsets and rises can be amusing and enjoyable, but pointing your lens directly at the sun may damage it. Try to keep your lens pointed a little bit away from the sun directly. There is a similarity between your eye and the camera lens, they both can see and both can be damaged by the sun. As a little kid your parents told you never to look at the sun or you will see spots. The same concept applies to your camera. When you are not capturing fantastic views, turn off your camera and store in someplace room temperature so you don’t damage it. It is best and easiest to take photos in increments, and then allow your camera to relax by enclosing it somewhere cool.

Wealth Affirmations - Part One

Wealth affirmations are really no different than any other affirmations someone might use. Instead of food, a new girlfriend, or boyfriend, the target is “wealth” and how you define wealth to yourself.

The law of attraction is a natural function each and everyone of us possesses within us. We use this law all of the time either consciously, or unconsciously. If the truth be known, most of us use the law of attraction unconsciously as if we didn’t know we had such a powerful force to use at our disposal.

We are always thinking about something all of the time. What we focus on seems to become us in very real ways. The law of attraction brings to us what we think about. This is a very real thing. When we think of us living in poverty, this is what we attract - more of the same. If we concentrate and send out thoughts of riches, this too will become us.

They have discovered through quantum physics that, at the sub atomic level, we influence the world we live in by thinking about it. Our very thoughts are wave actions that go out into the universe. These thought waves are made up of sub atomic particles that are answered in kind. This is the action of the law of attraction, to manifest what we ask for.

The process of declaring affirmations is to engage the law of attraction with intent. Wealth affirmations will work for anyone as long as you can program your mind for success. Programming your mind for wealth and prosperity is the key to making wealth affirmations work for you.

The author’s hobbies are self development, manifestation and law of attraction. If you want to learn more about Manifestation go to: http://www.manifestwealthmentor.com/manifestation.html where you’ll get two great books about Manifestation, the Law of Attraction and Self Improvement.
