Your Sun Sign

Only if you were born near sunrise will your Ascendant sign (possibly!) be the same as your Sun sign … and it is completely independent of your Moon sign. Yet this third component in your horoscope gives the most valid information about how you appear to other people … and how you take on the world.

Your Ascendant describes your temperament, the lens through which you view the world, the personality you put “on public display.” It’s the side of your character you willingly show the outside world. Changes here explain why even people born on the same day can have very different personalities, different strengths and interests, and different life experiences.

Forecasts based on your Ascendant will be the most descriptive and accurate regarding your life circumstances and immediate future. You will relate to such information very readily … which makes your Ascendant sign information even more crucial than that based on just your Sun sign.

Each of us reacts to situations differently, depending on our temperament. Numerology can analyze your name and predict how well you will handle long term projects in Life. To do this we need to count three categories of letters: Starters, Improvers, and Finishers.

So in review, we can say the Johnny Depp has an exceptionally strong Improvers count (70% of his name) and a poor Finisher count (10% of his name).

Low Numbers

People with counts which are 20% or less of their total letters have low values in a category. Low starter counts indicate you need to work on improving you ability to start task and projects. Low Improver counts show a need to work on persistence. These people will constantly be fighting boredom on long term projects. Low Finisher counts predict that you will tend to be a sloppy finisher on long term task. There will always be something left undone on your projects in life.

High Numbers

People with counts for a category which are 50% or more of their total letters have high values in a category. The day of full-moon occurs when the moon is in opposition to the sun. This month the sun is in Aries and the full moon is in Libra.

This is a very special period of the year, the winter solstice is past and the spring equinox has just begun.

Winter seems to be the most spiritual period of the whole year, it is a reflective period. We are more self contained: our ideas, our projects, our way of thinking become more intimate, and we tend to grow, mostly, within ourselves. We are more on the yang-side of the yin-yang polarities. Our potentialities, like seeds, lie dormant during the winter.

When the springtime comes, these seeds come to the surface searching for the light. We are like the flowers, giving birth, to ideas, projects, and aspirations, as with the sunshine, prana reaches us with increasingly strength.

You may not have stepped into your own power and need a dominant force to cause rebellion within your being, to awaken you. It may even be that you chose a critical parent because you yourself were highly critical of others in a past lifetime and this time you need to experience the injustice of being unfairly criticised and bullied for yourself, as well as repay the karmic debt you have incurred.

Choosing your personality, your name and your date and time of birth is a precise action of your soul. Your soul is governed by astrology, or the governing forces of the planets. These planetary forces govern your personality, the way you act, and your internal desires and drives, so it is critical that your soul be born at the precise moment in time, so that you end up with the personality that your soul has chosen to learn its life lessons. You give yourself a period of time to awaken spiritually on your own, without any help from spirit. Some choose to awaken later in life, others quite early. The Saturn Return occurs between the ages of 28 and 30. It marks the official end of childhood and “past lives” - the two are similar psychically and even psychologically. Perhaps you could say that when we come into this lifetime, we re-create the conditions of our past lives, be they “good” or “bad” which carry us through to the age of 30. –ORENTHAL J. SIMPSON ended his career with the Buffalo Bills (1969-77), going briefly to the San Francisco 49ers for two years after that.

–BEETHOVEN was aware of his impending deafness when he released his first symphony in 1800, at the age of 30. (His deafness was the onset of syphilis, so it had impact on many layers.)

–At 30, LEO TOLSTOY ends a life of gambling, fornicating and murder (his own words) to start a peasants’ school on his estate. This is the man whose book The Kingdom of God Is Within You influenced Gandhi to begin his passive resistance movement. Tolstoy also tries at this time to give his serfs their freedom and to give away his land to them but they are suspicious and refuse. 30 years later at his second Saturn Return, Tolstoy tries to will his estate and property to his serfs but his wife and children revolt.

–Between the ages of 27-32 OSAMA BIN LADEN began spending more time in Afghanistan than Saudi Arabia. He would spend a total of eight months a year or more in Afghanistan. [Afghanistan is where he found the personal and material resources for Al Quaeda]

–World War I ended and ADOLF HITLER turned 30. Having no where else to go, he returned to Munich and joined the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP). Two years later he was elected party chairman or “Fuehrer”.

The most precious gift you can give yourself and the gift you give back to God in gratitude for the gift of life, is to find yourself and do everything you can to become yourself, your authentic self. This is a good time to review the hierarchy of needs based roughly on the Maslow Pyramid. The idea is that you can’t move to higher levels, unless you have met needs at lower levels. Anyone who has the time and resources to read this article is likely going to make it to the top; however, many are called and few are chosen.
