Our Lives Are Changing Everyday…

Suffering is among us all, we are born into this world crying and yet too often die in pain. There are people who are suffering from sadness, aloneness, depression, and financial ruins. There are people in this world who are rich and have all the material things they could ever want, yet they experience these same feelings. These people are suffering from unhealthy self-esteem; either they think too low of themselves or think too highly of themselves (both are unhealthy). We try to escape and live outside ourselves turning to self-defeating behaviors. We overindulge or become obsessive in areas of our lives, such as, eating, working, shopping, sex, entertainment, alcohol, drugs, etc. We begin to cover it up so that others don’t know that we are hurting and suffering on the inside. We are not honest with ourselves and begin to live a lie, believing that everything is okay.

Does this sound familiar? Have you experienced these feelings yourself?

This lack of honesty is rooted back in our upbringing. We are brought through a family that wears masks and often grow into adulthood developing our own mask. Everything seems to be normal in our lives except the fact that we are not happy; we feel all alone, not knowing why or how to overcome it. People ask if we are okay and we reply by saying “yes“. Over time we begin to believe we are fine, holding on to the hope that it will change and get better. However, our problems continue to build, as do our feelings of inadequacy.

How do we break this cycle? Do you believe you have the power to change yourself and your situations?

Achieveing a certificate in self-awareness took alot of my time and effort. I came to the conclusion that many people in the world have jobs, families and just don’t have this kind of time to invest in self improvement and personal growth, the result, they go on living unhappily. I decided to put together learning courses that simplify the process of achieving complete happiness. You will learn very valuable tools to use in your daily lives to achieve this. These courses have been tested by me and I use them everyday of my life. Courses are short but effective, perfect for people who have very full lives and not alot of time. I am very proud of the improvements in my life and the many other lives that have improved. The greatest reward for me is being a part and watching so many people come alive again.

Panic Attacks - Is Panic Away The Right Way?

It seems that the e-book by Joe Barry called Panic Away is taking readers by surprise at the incredible results it is having on sufferers from around the globe. My question is, as many other Panic Attack sufferers questions are and will be, does Panic Away really work and how does Panic Away work so efficiently when it is just a readable document.

It was once believed by me and many others who would back up my claim that Panic Attacks were something that would stay with us for the rest of our lives. Panic Away and Joe Barry state otherwise. There was a point where I saw no way out and where there appeared to be no logical answers and solutions to this debilitating way of life so many others and I appeared to live. Joe Barry and his e-book Panic Away claim otherwise and I have now investigated this myself. Is Joe Barry’s Panic Away the real McCoy?

I started to have Panic Attacks at the age of 23 when I found myself in the bathroom of a Pub toilet in London getting shortness of breathe, a sinking feeling in my stomach, a tight throat and an overwhelming sense of uncontrollable fear. I wanted to cruel into a small hole and stay there until I felt better. Unfortunately for those around me this small hole became a place that I lived in for 3 to 4 years while I was having intense moments of depression, anxiety and Panic Attacks. I felt weak and vulnerable, a hindrance on those that loved me, a recluse to the friends around me and my career was going nowhere because I was suffering from Panic Attacks and never wanted to leave my home through fear of having a Panic Attack.

So my journey started into a search through desperation in an attempt to get my life back on track. I went to have counseling, read books, listened to audio, went to seminars, I was offered medication but refused as this seemed like no way to cure this problem. Eventually, I searched on the Internet for a way and I stumbled across Joe Barry’s e-book Panic Away. It claimed to cure Panic and Anxiety and take Panic Away through a method used in Cognitive Therapy and it was named the ‘One Move’ technique. At first I did not believe that Panic Away could do all it promised. Then looking at all the testimonials of people who had used Panic Away, I became more intrigued.

At this point I was skeptical but interested. Here’s what I did. I contacted the author of Panic Away, Joe Barry and said to him I wasn’t yet convinced and wanted to talk to some living proof. So I contacted a lady who had been suffering for a long time and badly and who had invested in Panic Away. Here is what I found from a lady who had suffered for 52 years from anxiety and 6 years of Panic Attacks everyday and just last year considered committing suicide and as a last resort had bought the Panic Away program. She was in awe of Joe Barry and his Panic Away e-book. She had been given her life back and is now living a normal life thanks to Panic Away. I actually have captured some audio of her talking about Panic Away and would gladly share with anyone who needs to overcome his or her skepticism before buying Panic Away. Anyway this sold me and I bought Panic Away immediately after that discussion.

Here is my experience with the Panic Away program
Panic Away is an incredibly informative read and the information is straight to the point in that it gives you the information that is needed and no fluff around the edges. Panic Away takes the reader on a journey through the symptoms of Panic Attacks and when I read the book for the first time I was in awe because I found someone who I felt understood everything I had been going through and immediately I developed the confidence through the knowledge provided in Panic Away that I could beat my Panic and Anxiety once and for all.

The background information about Panic and Anxiety that Joe Barry covers in Panic Away had a strange way of diffusing some of my anxiety already by the simple explanations that he gave about the condition just being a natural part of human behavior and it was an inbuilt human condition of ‘Fight or Flight’ response that is just been confused in our minds in modern day society. In the past it was designed to warn us of danger yet today it is still doing the same but humans are confused about what that danger is. Although I already knew a lot about Panic Attacks it seems that Panic Away really highlighted some key points and defined them in a way where it was like fitting the final bits of the puzzle in place.

The techniques that are described in Panic Away are extremely simple to use and the steps are easily understandable and even easier to follow. With persistence and dedication I am delighted to say that Panic Away worked like a treat for me and I have been free from this condition now for 1 year. Panic Away explains that the anxiety and panic we suffer are ways in which we have trained ourselves to react to the responses that our bodies have and by training yourself slightly differently the panic is diffused. It really is that simple and I was blown away when suddenly I just didn’t have an attack at all after fighting the condition for 3 years and it is just by thinking about it and reacting differently to the way I had been reacting in the past. There have been many people who have used these simple techniques who are now free from this disorder all it takes is the dedication and persistence and the rest is easy. So Panic Away really does take the Panic Away for good by using a simple technique.

Towards the end of Panic Away there is also a section about nutrition and this can be eye opening to those of you that are not selective about what you put past your lips. Ultimately, you are what you eat and there are some foods that can play a part in anxiety and Panic Attacks and a small shift can make a lot of difference.

The discussion on medication is an important one to bring up and it is very fair to say that a lot of people have gone down this route and it is an important one to go down, if you are feeling stuck and there was no way out. Well done for seeking help in the first place, most people don’t! I am delighted to share that if you are on medication and want to come off them then the techniques here will give you the opportunity to do that. Like I said it is so simple even for if you have suffered for most of your life, it’s just a case of installing the Panic Away technique into your mindset. I am all for having a med free life and life is generally better and you can gain a lot of strength from going back to a natural way of life and that is not to say that medication doesn’t have its place. The best part is that Panic Away has no side effects.

All in all Joe Barry’s Panic Away is straight to the point and every word is informative and if you are looking for the final peace of the puzzle or any bits of the puzzle then buy Panic Away right now without hesitation. There is a full money back guarantee so there is no risk to buyers. And Joe Barry’s intention is to find a solution that helps people with panic attacks and it is quite clear that he is not in it for the money. Ultimately, it is up to the sufferer and whether they are really ready to take their Panic Away. The information is there, it’s just whether the reader is ready to hear it and use it.

My name is ben butt and in the past I have suffered from panic attacks and thanks to panic away, I have found a resource that has discovered a way to cure my disorder. It allowed me to escape any fear of having a panic attack, eliminate panic attacks forever, gain massive confidence to get my life back on track. Here are some of the other benefits

planning holidays or travel without fear of anxiety. Never fearing to leave your home or to be alone. Going about your business daily without any lingering anxiety or anxious thoughts in your mind. Aviophobia - Aerophobia - Fear of Flying

Flying is considered one of the safest forms of transportation there is and yet this fact has very little to do with the absolute terror that some people experience at the thought of air travel. This fear is so intense, that whenever possible, many people will find alternative ways to travel to their destination - or just not go at all. Others will consult with their doctors and are prescribed medication to help them relax during the flight.

What causes such great fear?
The emotions that come with the fear of flying stem from many sources but the most common factor is the feeling of not being in control. The person may feel helpless and trapped because unlike car travel they cannot just pull over and get out or even open a window.

Other components of this phobia may include the fear of heights (acrophobia) and the fear of enclosed spaces (claustrophobia). For others, the thought of turbulence and the fear of crashing is enough to keep them on the ground.

Although Aviophobia has always been noted as one of the most common phobias, the fear of flying has increased dramatically since the events of 9/11. Now we have added fears of hijacking and terrorism to an already anxious and stressful situation.

The Physical Symptoms:
The physical and emotional reactions of someone with Aviophobia are just real as if something dangerous actually were happening. For some people the mere sight of an aircraft can trigger a panic attack.

Some common symptoms are as follows:
Muscle tension and or tremors.
Difficulty in breathing.
Dry mouth, flushed or pale face.
Chest pain and heart palpitations.
Abdominal discomfort and or vomiting.
Sweating, dizziness, and weakness.

Aviophobia is one of several kinds of anxiety disorders. The fear is more concerned with what might happen than the actual risk involved. Statistically speaking, flying is much safer than driving a car, however for individual who is afraid to fly, statistics are usually not relevant to the fear.

(Author: Dawn Gilbert) Did you know that phobia’s affect over 10% of the population? Is the fear of flying preventing you from travelling? You can conquer your phobia!

Use ADD Hyperfocus to Its Fullest Advantage

Determination and persistence are two qualities that all successful people have. But if you have ADD, these could be very difficult to maintain.

Let’s start with determination.

Answers.com shows many meanings for the term, but the one we want to focus on today is: “firmness of purpose or resolve.” This kind of determination leads to motivation, and when you add that to persistence, you have success. It’s a simple formula! And here is the point where ADD hyperfocus comes into play. If you are determined to achieve something, you visualize it and make it real. When that happens, you need to persist until you get what you want and ignore everything else.

That’s not to say that you ignore personal hygiene or food or any of the things that you need to do or have just to survive, but you really need to take your work day or whatever time you have to devote to achieving your dream and use that hyperfocus, until your dream is reality. See your target. See your reward. Try to maintain that ADD hyperfocus until you get what you want.

Some ADD people are quite good at doing just that. But let’s face it. When you have ADD, it’s very easy to be distracted, and these distractions come at you in insidious ways, if you allow them.

If your partner or maybe a parent is a negative type who thinks that everything you come up with is “pie in the sky”? Well, you either have to find a way to ignore them completely, or you have to keep your project to yourself. This can be difficult because your enthusiasm will have you bursting to tell everyone, but just keep the goal to yourself until you’ve hit it. How much sweeter will it be when you’ve achieved something they never thought you could do or maybe hope that you couldn’t do because they could never do it themselves?

Forget the word can’t. You can do anything you set your mind to, and if you have ADD, you undoubtedly have the intelligence and creativity to do what many other people can’t do. Just don’t listen to negativity.

Interruptions are also distracting, especially for people with ADD. So, you need to set some ground rules with friends and family. Tell them not to call you during the time you’ll be working on your project every day (and you should make a set time to work in). Tell them you’re working on something important and can’t be disturbed.

Or, maybe you have kids and worry that calls are about them. So, use caller I.D., if you’re the only one who can take calls. Then, decide whether or not it’s the school or the daycare center and don’t answer anything else. No, a call from an old friend does not take precedence over your project.

Forget all those other distractions, too, like reading email or playing mindless computer games. It’s really easy to distract ourselves without anyone else being involved. So, get an accountability partner, someone who understands that the dream is very important to you, and who will kick your butt back into gear when you are stalled or doing things you shouldn’t be doing. Ask them to check in with you every 15 minutes, if you have to.

Just don’t be down on yourself when you are distracted. If you have ADD, it’s just inevitable. From the time you get that first scintilla of an idea, when it grows and grows in your mind, until it becomes a “burning desire,” you have to learn to either keep it to yourself or don’t let anyone, no matter who they are, tell you that your dream is impossible. You can do anything you want to do. Use your ADD hyperfocus. Remove the distractions that you can. And when your accountability person comes to push you, just visualize that goal. Think about the reward you’ll feel from achieving it, and get it done!

Is She Bipolar?

QUESTION:

My daughter has been diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD) and potentially Bipolar Disorder, but that last diagnosis is not confirmed yet …right now she is unable to go to school - anxiety and panic attack when the morning comes. We are extremely hesitant to go the home-school route, because of the probability of the anxiety transferring to another area –especially if she has not developed the skills to tackle it when she experiences the anxiety/panic.

I saw on your website the concept of getting her to have ‘going back to school’ become her idea …any magical ways of getting that to happen??? Her father and I are at the end of our creative strategies rope (her father is a clinical psychologist and also has OCD) …words of wisdom?

ANSWER:

You’ve raised a lot of issues here. Let’s first identify each one:

1. OCD/OCPD

2. Possibly Bipolar Disorder

3. Anxiety/Panic

5. Unable [i.e., unwilling] to go to school

Re: OCD/OCPD — Is she on an antidepressant? If so, does it help? A complicating factor is that when anti-depressants are given without mood stabilizers to people with bipolar disorder, the antidepressants may induce mania or hypomania. So her psychiatrist will need about a year of experimentation (the art side of pharmacotherapy) in order to get the right combinations and dosages of medication. It will be important that everyone in the family be patient with this process.

Re: Bipolar Disorder — Bipolar disorder is difficult to recognize in young people because it does not fit precisely the symptom criteria established for adults, and symptoms can resemble or co-occur with those of other common childhood-onset mental disorders and may be mistaken for normal emotions and behaviors of children and adolescents.

As a result, Bipolar kids are often given any number of psychiatric labels (e.g., ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Separation Anxiety Disorder, etc.).

Too often they are treated with stimulants or antidepressants — medications which can actually worsen the bipolar condition.

Having said that, it has been my experience that when bipolar is suspected, it is eventually diagnosed (i.e., if her doctor believes she may be bipolar, she probably is). Is anyone else in the family bipolar (e.g., uncle, grandparent)? As you probably know, bipolar is highly genetic.

So my advice, based on my experience with others in similar situations, would be to begin focusing on the bipolar issue because (a) she probably is bipolar and (b) once the bipolar symptoms are stabilized, the other symptoms (anxiety, panic, OC behavior, etc.) will get addressed by default (at least from a medical standpoint).

Re: School — Going on the assumption that she is bipolar (and again, it is just an assumption at this point): Bipolar children will not function well in a regular school setting - so that’s out, period!

However, the bipolar kids I work with do very well in alternative school environments or GED programs where the classes are small and they get sufficient amounts of one-on-one attention.

They do miss a lot of class time (e.g., “I got a headache” …”I’m sick to my stomach” …bla bla bla), but most alternative schools are willing to deal with poor attendance within reasonable limits.

In any event, your task will be to have a relaxed attitude about all things — model “having a relaxed attitude” throughout the day, everyday!!! Your daughter will pick up on it at an unconscious level. Then you’ll be working your magic.

I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH: The more you and your husband develop the “art of letting go,” the less she will stress. The less she stresses, the fewer symptoms she will experience. The fewer symptoms she experiences, the more she can focus on the really important things in life (relationships, school, work, play, etc.).

It sounds like the whole family may be in “survival mode” (i.e., spending a lot of time and energy just trying to keep the boat from sinking). One can escape from this mode by practicing “having a relaxed attitude,” a “grateful heart” and a “sense of humor.” If you think you simply can’t do this right now, then fake it anyway (i.e., “act as if” you are relaxed, grateful, and finding things to laugh about). With practice, this becomes habit.

In summary, the real issue here as I see it is “stress.” Everybody is feeling pressure. And I can promise you that if everyone is uptight most of the waking hours — you will have a long, hard road ahead.

Combating Visual Perceptual Disorders In Autism

Visual perceptions can affect a number of kids that have autism and you should not assume that all autistic children are affected in a certain way since autism can cause unique type of symptoms in different child.

Do your best to match the most accurate remedies according to the signs that is shown in your child.

With the case of visual perception, there are methods available out there for your child to use which can effectively improve their condition. Those approaches let them view the world in a new light thus making learning and understanding of situations smoother than before.

At the same time, utilizing those tactics can possibly control behavioral issues that are associated with autism.

People who have their sensory easily overwhelmed and distorted are also common among the population that are not suffering from autism. This characteristic have brought about many studies on it and over the years there are multiple treatment options that is being made available.

For autistic individuals, they usually discover that the sensory overload that are generated by lights, colors, contrast, shapes and patterns is simply too unbearable and this is the reason why you see them acting out or totally isolating themselves in general.

Complication of the sensory could be due to a genetic condition and what autism did is to naturally enhance it.

What this mean is that if the parents have problem with reading or been treated previously for visual perceptive issues, then the child would almost certainly need help too.

One practical way of treating visual-perceptual disorders is by using the Irlen Method. In a nutshell, this process takes color and then use it to achieve a better harmonized surrounding.

Helen Irlen had pioneered the studies of visual perception and is credited with the discovery of Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome (SSS) or also known as Irlen Syndrome.

Have you ever heard of suggestions that improve the speed and technique of your reading by placing a color filter over the page? If you do, then you will comprehend better what the Irlen Method can achieve.

Studies have shown that this method does work. The result can be seen exceptionally well if your autistic child’s level of reading is at the intermediate stage.

The idea is to use the color filters and then evaluate whether there is any improvement in reading speed and comprehension. The wave length of lights that are causing discomfort must be eliminated.

Sensitivity to the wrong light or color can lead to fatigue, strain and an environment with higher distortion. Offending colors can be filtered by observing for any positive changes and then implementing the color that works with the individual at all time.

Please keep in mind that the technique require a bit of trial and error effort since you need to determine which color is the one that is is blocking the undesirable light.

Different child will respond differently to the various colors.

The usage of these color filters will usually take place throughout their life. Yearly evaluation is needed to determine the effectiveness of the colors because fading colors means fading benefit.

Other than reading, you may apply it to copying, handwriting or during usage of computer.

Another thing to take note is that your autistic child would probably appreciate the usage of the color filters during the entire day instead of only when reading. There are glasses designed especially for this purpose by having colored lenses.

Beside the filters and lenses, you can also consider using colored light bulbs within the surrounding of an autistic persons who have visual perception condition. A wonderful application to this is when your child is too young with limited language capability thus by observing for any difference in behavior could mean an indication of a problem.

An important aspect to remember here is that an individual with visual perception disorder will prefer and feel more comfortable with indirect natural lighting or incandescent lighting. Avoid fluorescent lightning and maintain a dimly lit room instead of bright.

There are 4 main criteria that the above approach will benefit your child namely depth perception, social integration, education and their physical wellness.

Depth perception is improved when the right colors assist the child to establish how near or far they are from a certain object. Their world will turn more three-dimensional.

In the area of social integration, the autistic child will feel more relaxed. This will give them a conducive environment to clearly interpret expressions on the faces of people around them.

Uncomfortable feeling like light-headedness and headaches can be greatly reduced while reading and the child will feel more motivated during learning session.

All this contribute to them being less stressed out so that their physical well being can develop properly.

There are clinics and professionals all around the world that have been certified in the Irlen Method. Help your child deal better with their autism by carefully testing this method or any other technique and minimize their visual processing problems.

Danial Dawood is involved with various companies and individuals in the area of information management and unique learning resources. If you are struggling to find out more about autism and all you get are those that seems to be written for doctors, outdated and contains only part of the information, then you need to take a look at this complete guide for autism.

Who Is At Risk Of Anxiety & Panic Attacks?

Nearly anyone can suffer from panic attacks and anxiety - regardless of age, medical history and background. These attacks often occur when someone exaggerates a perceived danger or problem in their mind. Often these dangers and stresses are unlikely to occur, no matter how real they may seem to the person.

Experts who have studied these conditions have found that spending longer periods of time in isolation can lead to increased risk of panic attacks. In many cases, something as simple as taking part in social activities or getting outdoors and doing something with other people can relieve some of the symptoms.

Panic attacks are generally not reactions to physical dangers. They are more likely reactions to thoughts and fears. While these fears may stem from past physical or emotional events, the fears themselves often don’t manifest themselves.

As a result, positive thinking is a helpful habit for many people who suffer from mild panic disorders. Being able to mentally overcome the fears and anxiety can help to relieve symptoms of panic attacks.

It should be noted that not all people who suffer from panic and anxiety attacks are classified as having a mental disorder. In some cases, panic attacks and anxiety originate from conditions and events that are beyond the person’s control.

Regardless, if you are suffering from panic or anxiety you should consult with your doctor, no matter how minor the problem may seem. The earlier the condition can be identified and treated, the more easily it can be overcome. If left too long it can develop into much more severe problems.

Are you or someone you know suffering from anxiety, stress or panic attacks? Learn more about these conditions as well as treatments such as behavioral therapy on the Anxiety Action website. Visit http://www.anxietyaction.com for more helpful information.
