List Building Ideas - 3 Under Used Ideas To Explode Your List Building

It’s a good idea to use as many tips and techniques as
you possibly can to help in your list building efforts. These list building ideas should help you add hundreds
of extra subscribers and boost your profits if you will
put them into action.

#1 - Use ebay to build your list. Yes Ebay can be a
great way to add not only subscribers but actual paying
customers to your list.

What you want to do is offer a seven to ten page report
or ebook as a ‘buy it now’ offer for ninety-nine cents. The people who purchase are hot new customers and are
waiting to be sold more of your higher priced products.

Remember, eBay gets millions if visitors each and if
you can harness even a very small part of the traffic,
you can build a sizeable responsive list very quickly.

#2 - Use Yahoo groups to add subscribers to your list
by simply joining in on conversations and offering your
expertise to others.

You do this by joining a group on your niche and then
answer and ask questions for others. Each time you make
a post you can use a little five line signature that
basically sends your readers to your opt in list page.

You will find hundreds of groups on just about any topic
you can think of. Join a few of them and start posting. This list building idea alone could be adding hundreds
or thousands of free subscribers to your list within a
few short weeks.

#3 - Use testimonials from current subscribers of your
list. If you don’t have any testimonials, the easiest
way to get them is to ask your current list members what
they like about your messages.

If they offer up a good testimonial, let them know you
will be using it on your sign up page. Tell them they
can also add their website link to the blurb as your
way of saying thanks for the kind words. You get a testimonial, they can get some free publicity.

All of the above list building ideas are excellent ways
for you to start adding subscribers to your opt in list
right away. So get on with it.

Reading On Screen

Reading from a screen is much different from reading a paperback book.

With your paperback book you can settle back in your favourite armchair and get right into you book.

If you’re reading on screen, you’ll probably be reading at a desk with your screen in front of you. Despite all the ergonomic advice that people in work are supposed to follow, it isn’t always adhered to, and at home, it’s highly unlikely to be followed. It is possible that you’ll be in you favourite armchair with laptop, but holding a laptop is not the same as holding a paperback: heavier, no flexibility, probably resting on your lap - you won’t be holding it up like a paperback.

That’s not to say that reading from the screen is uncomfortable. People are getting more used to doing it. A few years back it was the norm for people to print off documents and read them on paper - it is what they were used to. Now there is more awareness of environmental issues, and fewer documents are printed in that way in order to avoid the waste of paper. So people are trying to get comfortable reading from the screen.

And people that produce things to be read from the screen are getting more knowledgeable about how people like to read. For example, an e-book looks quite different from a paperback. A paperback has single spaced lines, and there are usually around 330 words per page. An e-book usually has at least one-and-a-half spacing, and there are often about 200 words per page. The watchword of e-books is ‘white space’. This gives the read a cleaner, clearer feel to reading on the screen. If it were like a paperback book, then the reader would feel the page to be cluttered and reading it would be too much hard work. E-books also have less width to the page than a paperback book, which again reduces the words per page.

In an e-book it is very easy - with PC multimedia capabilities - to put in a picture, and of coursed one of the great benefits of an e-book is to be able to embed a link to another website. This is something that a paperback could never achieve, of course, and allows an e-book to open up its window to the world.

Search Engine Optimization, Google, and The Reptilian Code

Search engine optimization dominates the thinking and to a large degree the marketing efforts of many small and medium-sized companies, but have you ever noticed that many of the largest and most profitable companies in the world ignore many SEO techniques.

Of course these companies have large advertising and marketing budgets that drive traffic to their websites and generate leads, sales, and most importantly customers; and they achieve these results without having to twist their Web-marketing message out of shape in order to satisfy search engine criteria.

Their prime interest is in delivering their finely crafted, focused marketing message to their audience, not to search robots. Last I heard search engines are in the business of selling you their stuff not buying yours. But these companies also know something that you don’t; they have a secret that makes their marketing work without the need for search engine appeasement. This secret is not much of a secret, in fact it is out there for all see; unfortunately most search engine crazed entrepreneurs choose to ignore it and instead look for an easy fix, a magic bullet, search engine nirvana.

Google’s Mission

Google’s success is based on two very simple facts: one, it is the best way to find what people are looking for on the Web; and two, it has parlayed this ability into a series of paid-for services. Pretty obvious stuff until you delve deeper into why and how this works. Google understands the same thing most extraordinarily successful companies understand and that is they know what you really want. The keyword here is ‘really:’ they understand the unconscious primal need to survive, to be the alpha-ape, to be first on page one of a search for whatever it is you do, because in the SEO game, if you ain’t on the leader board you ain’t in the money.

The Google Paradox

Here’s the problem: Google can only be successful as long as they deliver relevant search results to a vast Internet audience. If they fail to deliver appropriate search results people will stop using them and their paid-for services will decline. On the other hand, you as a business executive want access to Google’s vast audience, and the only way you think you can effectively gain this access is to appear on that first search page as close to the top as possible; and you really don’t give a damn how you get there. Enter the search engine optimization gurus, boffins, and Svengalis who provide the promise of survival of the most index-able.

So now we have Google who’s success is based on delivering relevant searches and SEO companies intend on manipulating this ability to place their clients on page one near the top. Google of course being a smart bunch of guys foils the SEOs by constantly changing their methods and algorithms and trumps them by placing paid-for results in the most prominent places. And the game continues, bringing in huge profits to Google and wonderfully large fees to the search engine optimization experts, leaving you paying the shot with little to show for it.

Just as an aside, I can tell you that most of our website traffic and subsequent inquiries and worldwide clients come from Google searches, and our website is mostly Flash, concentrates on Web-video and audio, and basically ignores most search optimization tricks. We rely on providing our audience and Google with relevant material.

Back to Basics

The lesson here is clear: sound marketing practices based on the way people think and act should be your number one priority, not blind faith in the manipulation of some constantly changing mathematical formula that is increasingly playing second fiddle to paid-for placement.

Persuasion Techniques

The ability to make money on the Web is not based on traffic but rather on your ability to communicate. High volume expensive traffic that leaves your site within seconds serves no financial purpose. You should be spending your marketing dollars on methods that grab visitors’ attention and deliver a focused, informative, entertaining and memorable marketing message that resonates with your audience’s unconscious desires formed in the primitive reptilian portion of the brain.

The Lustication-Justification Process

Sales are generated by creating what Clotaire Rapaille, the reigning superstar of market research, refers to as the process of lustication and justification. Lustication is the psychological trigger of desire that makes your audience want to buy your product or service, while justification is merely the rational excuse used to expend resources.

Decoding the Motivating Triggers

Rapaille’s work is all about decoding the motivating triggers that prompt a purchase. Once found, the job of the marketing effort is to stay on code. The major research effort is to get past the excuses, the justifications, the rational left brain thinking that appeases the accountants, engineers and programmers, and to get down to the nitty-gritty, the elements and primal coding that make us tick.

Rapaille believes words carry more than their literal meaning and are ripe with unconscious associations, not a surprising revelation since all communication whether verbal or nonverbal is based on the associations we make over a lifetime of experience. These shared associations form the basis of the code we are looking to play upon in our marketing.

Where most corporations and advertising agencies use focus groups as an exercise designed to cover their collective asses, Rapaille takes a different approach. As a trained psychiatrist, he organizes his version of focus groups in stages. During the first stage he allows his subjects to gain a sense of accomplishment by justifying their reasoning through logical and rational thinking that he completing ignores. In the second stage, he pursues the more relevant hidden aspects of desire, and that’s the ultimate sales trigger he’s looking for.

An Affordable Solution

Most businesses certainly can’t afford the fees of someone like Clotaire Rapaille, but if you free yourself from conventional thinking and the need to justify and rationalize everything you do then maybe you to can find the hidden triggers of desire that form the code you need to base your marketing on.

Humans have two fundamental needs, survival and improvement; these essential requirements are subdivided into our need for food, shelter, reproduction, acceptance, community, status, and knowledge; these are motivational triggers for everything your audience does and for every cent they spend. While you’re knocking your brains out competing for top spot on a Google search, the big boys are delivering what people really want, and laughing all the way to the bank.

If you want your share of the Internet pie, you best discover what really satisfies your audience’s hunger, because that’s the basis for a marketing message and website presentation that works.

How To Find Customers Who Are Looking For You

AdWords just has to be one of the greatest Online Marketing and Advertising tools to date. Thankfully I don’t know much about how difficult it was advertising before, but I can imagine how costly and frustrating it must have been to buy advertising space in newspapers and magazines and find that your advert was illegible or wrong and there was not a thing you could do about it by then. But now it doesn’t have to be that way.

Those new to Internet opportunities and the emerging force to be reckoned with - silver entrepreneurs, are realising that, your beautiful website won’t do a thing for you unless it gets seen. And the best way to get found by customers is to advertise using the very search terms they would use to find you. By targeting your customers search keywords you optimise your advertising resources, by appearing to those who are already looking for what you provide. This eliminates any cold calling and wasted energy and cash, by driving already dedicated customers to your website. With a snappy relevant advert your classified emerges in prime position when someone searches those keyword requisites you’ve bid on. You choose those keywords and what you want to pay for those leads and you are only charged when a customer clicks through your advert to your site. Choose as many keywords as you want. You are advertising even if they then choose another search criteria and your advert pops up again. You must be exactly what they are looking for and you still only pay pennies, once they do click through to your site, on Google’s recommendation. I’m convinced there is no better cost effective means of getting committed customers already interested and looking for what you’ve got.

Whatever your finances, you choose to spend as little or as much money, time and effort as you want, to optimise the results you deserve. You can edit your ads and adjust your advertising budget, add and remove as many keywords as you require, until you obtain the sales you desire. You can also display a variety of ad formats and even target your ads to specific languages and geographic locations. Once set up your AdWords campaign runs on autopilot and all you need to do is check your detailed results to ensure it’s continuing to work well for you. Seeing is believing because your increased sales and/or signups will speak for themselves AdWords are proving indispensable in your particular niche market with the services you provide and increasingly its also being discovered as crucial to affiliate marketers earning commissions promoting the Internet industry’s trailblazers.

Page Ranking System Explained! - How To Get High Ranking Web Pages

Why Search Engines Rank Web Pages

Search engines strive to produce quality search results for their users. They want to be able to give you exactly what you are looking for at the best quality. One way that the search engines can tell if you have important information for its users is if your page has other pages linking to it. Various other factors come into play to ensure quality search results.

Number of Links

Although not the most important factor in determining a web page’s importance for a specific keyword, it is a popular way of getting up in the rankings. Every newly created page may give away a “page rank point” of about 0.10 or 0.15 in importance. This could be from external or internal links.

Percentage of Links

More importantly than number of links to a web page, is the number of other links on the page that link to a web page. To determine the amount of distributed “page rank points” to a web page from a link, multiply the total amount of “page rank points” distributed by the percentage of links.

The Dampening Factor

The dampening factor is the number that is multiplied by the distributed “page rank points” to a specific web page. This is then added to the given “page rank point” of an estimated 0.10 or 0.15. This dampening factor is usually around 0.80 to 0.85 .

Logarithmic Page Ranking Points

A web page with page ranking of 1 will have 1 page rank point to divide up and distribute. However, a web page with a page ranking of 2 will have 10 times that! And a web page with a ranking of 3 will divide and distribute 100 “page rank points”! This is why it is better to get a link from popular and respected web pages. This is the most important factor in getting higher ranking pages that I have found.

The Equation

Now, it’s time to put it all together. Below I will provide a sample equation to which you can plug in numbers to predict your web page’s future page ranking. Though the true equations that search engines use are trade secrets and the PageRanks are rounded to integers, this equation should give you a fairly good idea of your web page’s future page ranking.

PageRank(YourWebPage) =
(0.15) + (0.85)*{[(#ofYourLinks)*10^(TheirPageRank - 1)]/(Total#OfLinks) + (MorePageRankingPoints)}

Filters

There are several important filters that each link goes through before distributing “page ranking points”. These filters that can hurt or ban your web site include, but are not limited to…

  • Duplicate Content
  • Irrelevant Content
  • Fast Link Building (100+ a month)
  • Links From Inappropriate or Banned Web Pages
  • Inbound Links Having a “nofollow” Attribute

Boosters

There are several things that can boost your rankings in the search engines, too. Some of these are debated, but won’t hurt to encourage. Several boosters include…

  • KeyWord in the Title Tag and Meta Tags
  • KeyWord Towards Top of the Body of the Web Page and in Header Tags
  • High Traffic
  • Linking Keywords (anchor text)
  • Links From Government, Educational, and Well Known Web Sites

Viral List Building - The Simple Viral List Building Technique Explained

Build a responsive opt in list is a must have in order
to get the maximum profits from your internet marketing
business. There are many great ways to build your list and build
it quickly. Viral list building is one of those ways.

Here is the way it works in a nutshell.

First you want to write up a five to ten report or a
fifteen page ebook. It doesn’t matter. What is important
is that the ebook or report be stuffed with actual useful
content.

You should create the report as if you were putting
together a full product for sale. Make sure it is worth
at least seventeen dollars.

Once you have the product together, you have the choice
of being able to brand it with your own affiliate links
and also have others be able to do the same. Doing so will give the report even more credibility due
to the fact that others can brand your report with their
affiliate links and possible earn commissions.

Okay, now that the report is finished, you want to get
the word out to as many people as possible. The more
people who know about it, the more people you have giving
it away.

This creates the viral list building effect.

You need to make sure that everyone who wants a copy of
your report, must give their name and email address in
order to receive it. In return, they will be able to give it away to others
and create you even more subscribers, profits, traffic,
and partners.

You can announce your new report to current list members,
you can go to forums and post to others. You can even
use ezine advertising to really boost the results. Once you get a few people on board, you will notice that
viral list building is a great way to go.

What The Heck is This SEO Stuff, Anyway?

There are so many people out there that claim to know about Search Engine Optimization and who claim to know what it means to have an SEO-friendly website, it makes one wonder if all of these people really know what the process is all about. Chances are you, the website owner, hired someone with the idea that you were getting great SEO result and found that your results were only mediocre at best.

Oddly enough, it is not just smaller companies that are confused by the entire SEO issue, but larger firms suffer from SEO confusion. Also, higher priced doesn’t always mean better service. Shop around and ask the hard questions before hiring an SEO firm.

The thing to remember is that SEO has changed since the beginning. Search engine algorithms have evolved and are far more sophisticated. This evolution means that the guidelines are continually changing.

A New Idea

SEO is a little more than ten years old. In the beginning, webmasters began optimizing sites by submitting a page or two to search engines that would then send out a searchbot or spider to crawl that page, extract links to the other pages in the site and gather the information found on the pages it finds.

The process involved a search engine spider downloading a page and storing it on the search engine’s own server when a second application, known as an indexer, extracts the information found on the pages. The information about the pages, such as the words found on the pages, links, where everything is located on the page, is then placed into a scheduler to be crawled again at a later date.

Early versions of search engine algorithms relied solely on the webmaster providing information through the metatags, or index files. Metatags provided a kind of road map to the page’s content. As soon as webmasters realized this was the procedure, it became an unreliable system because webmasters could manipulate keywords and descriptions so that they had nothing at all to do with the actual page content.

Google is Born in 1998

All of this changed when Google arrived on the scene in 1998. Not only was Google’s simple page design appealing to Internet users, users liked the off-page factors such as page ranking and the on-page analysis of a website. This eliminated the keyword manipulation that plagued other search engines.

SEO Today

SEO today is improving the volume of website traffic and the quality of visitors to the site via the use of targeted keywords. An SEO expert has to think like their consumer, and they also have to understand how the algorithms work. SEO should involve the site’s code, overall design, text-rich content, accurate navigation and eliminate anything that would prevent a spider from crawling the entire site.

In addition to organic searches to the site, a good SEO firm will establish a pay-per-click advertising campaign to boost site visibility. Google considers popularity a major factor when ranking a page.

A well-conceived plan will attack the web from several different angles at the same time. Social networking is an important factor as well as inbound links. The inbound links have to be chosen carefully and have a relationship to the website in some way. Otherwise, Google may consider the site simply a link farm.

Affiliate Marketing - Residual Income Is A Must

Affiliate marketing is a very successful method of promoting and selling items in the marketplace. This commercial strategy is employed both online and offline. Companies, organizations, and individuals all use this marketing technique to promote products, services, and programs.

What is affiliate marketing? Let’s examine a very basic model. A company has a product that it has developed and realizes that the new product will require special marketing methods to make it successful in the marketplace. The company engages affiliate marketers to promote and sell the new product. The affiliates are paid a commission when they make a sale.

This example outlines the role of the affiliate marketer. However, the experienced affiliate will only promote products that are part of an affiliate program that also involves “residual income”. This method of compensation is of benefit to all parties involved.

Affiliate Marketing utilizing 2 different compensation plans:-

Plan #1 - This plan calls for the affiliate to promote the product in the marketplace. When the sale is made, the affiliate is paid a commission. This means that after each sale, the affiliate has to find a new prospect that then can be turned into a satisfied client. To earn more money, he must start the process all over again.

Plan #2 - Residual income is what creates the difference between these 2 plans. Let me explain. The same new product that is in plan #1 can be marketed using Plan#2 as a compensation plan. The affiliate is paid a commission at the time a sale is made. And he also receives an on-going commission.
As an example, the company sells their new product outright. This product requires future servicing and maintenance. The affiliate sells the service contract to the new client when the new product is sold. The service contract is payable on a monthly basis. Each and every month the affiliate marketer is paid a commission, for as long as the contract remains in effect.

In each of these plans, the affiliate marketer is paid for his efforts. Plan#1 is simply one sale, one commission, and start all over again. Plan#2 is much more interesting, and not just for the affiliate. The
affiliate will receive more and more commissions as every month more clients are sold the new product.
The company also gains by using a commission plan with residual income as a means of compensation.
As the monthly residual commissions increase, the affiliate has more reason to continue promoting the product. This in turn helps the company as they then retain the services of successful and experienced
marketers, to further promote their product.

Affiliate marketing is a tried and proven method for the successful promotion of Internet products and services. When this marketing technique is teamed up with a proven home based business, it is a formula for success. Residual income has a definite role in making the success even better for all partners in the plan.

There’s Profit In Them Freebie Websites

Have you seen those annoying pop-ups trying to give you a special prize “FREE”. You probably dismissed them as a scam just like I used to do. Well I am here to tell you that they will give it to you free…..well sort of. There is a program out there that will show you how and give you all the tools you need to actually make money with these freebie sites! Say hello to Project Payday.

Project Payday is a concept that I am sure not too many people actually thought of as a way to
make money, but some people are doing just that. You need to know ,however, that it is very
tedious work that takes a lot organization and time. So if what you are looking for is a method
that utilizes your “spare time” this probably isn’t for you.

Project Payday focuses around using IFW’s, incentive freebie websites, to make money. There
are many websites out there that “give away” items like a free ipod, xbox, computer, cash prizes,
or whatever. These sites are known as or IFW’s. I’m sure you have seen these sites all over the
web. I’m also sure that you probably just ignored them like I did thinking they were a scam.
Well they are not! They actually do let you earn these things, however there are certain
requirements. In order to get your prize or cash (you should pick cash if your in this to make
money) you have to complete trial offers. Then you have to refer a certain amount of people to
also complete the offers.

The Project Payday program is based around using these IFW websites to earn money. They
supply you with a members forum where you meet the contacts that help you on your way, as
well as several links and other resources to make it as easy as possible. there are several other
forums available to do the same thing. The Free Lunch Forum(Project Payday) is specifically
designed for the newbies so it makes your initial foray as smooth as possible. Project Payday has put everything together in one membership site so it can be learned quicker.

HOW IT WORKS

First you sign up through someone’s referral link and they pay you to complete the required
amount of “trial offers” at an IFW. It’s called “going green for someone”. The individual pays
anywhere from 20-40 dollars to “go green” for them. You don’t have to refer anyone to make
money with this method. All you do is complete the trial offers at the IFW and they pay you via
paypal. Project Payday operates a forum where all these deals are set up. they also supply you
with links to several other forums where you can do the same thing. There is an average of 200
people online on each of these forums at all times. About half of them are offering to pay for
greens and the other half are looking to get paid for greens.

Now you could sign up for these sites on your own but why would you when someone is willing
to pay you to sign up as a referral.

In order to “go green” on most of these freebie sites you will have to complete several offers to
get one credit because the offers are worth 1/4,1/3,1/2 credit each. So as you can see you could
have as many as 4 different trial offers going to get your payment of say $20. Now you are free to
cancel the offers at the end of the trial period so they won’t cost you anything, but you can see
how time consuming this can be. However, even though you are getting paid for this, the object
is to get registered with these web sites so you can do the referring. That is where the money is
hiding!

Method Two involves getting paid for referrals. Like I said, here is where you are going to make
some serious money. In addition to earning products such as an Xbox, all these sites offer cash
gifts for sending them referrals. If you pick a $300 reward for 5 referrals and you pay each of them
$20, it cost you $100 to get $300, a clear profit of $200. The Project Payday and other forums
supply you with all the referrals you will ever need. The down side is , as I mentioned before, it
takes a lot of time and documentation to do the business and sometimes the offer confirmations
take a while so it isn’t always instant money.

RECOMMENDATION

Project Payday is extremely tedious and takes a lot of time. If you are looking for a part-time
way to make some extra bucks, it is a legitimate method of making some money. If you are
looking for an income that you can consider your “making a living”, this isn’t it.There are other
ways to make money online that require less time and have the potential to make alot more
money. With Project Payday I see the potential to make $500-$2500 a month, but that’s working
20-40 hours a week. Nice if you are looking for something extra, but I wouldn’t count on it for
the long haul.

Don’t be afraid to give it a try at Project Payday because you can try it for free by signing up for a
trial offer they have available. Give it a serious try, but if it gets to be too much just cancel the
offer and move on. I found it just too time consuming for me, but then I am an impatient man.

5 Tips to Find a Reliable Web Hosting

It’s not unusual in web hosting world that a web site is down without any reason. How to find a reliable web hosting with affordable price out of the thousands of web hosting is not an easy task for a beginner. Below are 5 very useful tips to find an appropriate web hosting solution:

1) Only seek for web hosting service from those have been in the industry for more than 2 years. It’s very hard to verify the reliability of a web hosting service provider for very short period. 2 years will give them enough time to prove their customer service and web hosting technology.

2) Say NO to unlimited domain name and unlimited bandwidth. There is an open secret in this industry, especially for cheap web hosting, that if you use too many bandwidth then your connection speed will be restricted and slow down, so even you are given unlimited bandwidth, you won’t be able to use a lot of bandwidth actually. The same thing happened on unlimited domain name hosted in one account, if you use too many bandwidth, the connection speed to your web site will be significantly down.

3) Test their customer service by sending email. You should not forget this step. The response time of the host provider will tell you everything about their service. What you can do is to send an email to them for the clarification to see how soon you will be replied. And also, you can try their live support system by have a quick chat with them.

4) Purchase web hosting service from those provide trial days or monthly payments. If they can give you the service you want, you won’t save a dime from them. But trial days or monthly payment are really put your money in safe.

5) Refer to some web hosting review if possible, but don’t weight them too much. The only reason to say it is that not all the web hosting reviewers are really know or use the web hosting service before. They might just write the review for marketing purpose, which really don’t bring any value to you. Web Hosting Review from Reliable Affordable Web Hosting are given by some experts in the web hosting industry, you can refer to it if you want to see the review for your preferred service provider.
