Autoresponders – Make Sure You Respond

Autoresponders can be a great way to interact with customers in a hands-free way. It is ideally suited to providing visitors with a specialized ecourse or newsletter. In fact, online businesses are finding autoresponders a wonderful marketing tool.

Many businesses use an autoresponder on email inquiries. However, there is a problem that can develop when using standard email autoresponders. The premise is that the customer can receive an immediate response letting them know the email has been received.

Often that email looks something like this…

“Thank you for contacting the XYZ Company. This is an automated response, but be assured we will respond to your email.

“We appreciate your contact and will be contacting you shortly.”

This sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? However, the problem comes when follow through on email inquiries are lax or a response is delayed.

If a customer (or potential customer) took the time to contact you they are looking for answers – now. If you don’t respond in a timely manner they will look elsewhere.

We’ve all received those autoresponder-generated emails. In some cases that original generic email is the only one the company ever sends. This gives a strongly negative impression of the company.

If you have use autoresponders for email please consider evaluating how effective you are at making sure those emails are responded to once the automated email is sent.

Customers often become customers based on their belief that you view them as something more than simply a means to derive an income. Does your email response allow those customers to envision you as the caring business owner you are or as someone unresponsive to their questions and concerns?

Follow through is a difficult proposition for any company, but it is vital when it affects the ongoing partnership you have with your customers.

Real estate businesses thrive on providing meaningful follow up with their customers. These customers can work with numerous real estate firms, so if they choose one to work with they want to be sure that their best interests are being fairly and completely represented.

This is the same idea for any business. Customers who have a positive experience with your company are more likely to come back again. So, if you use an email autoresponder make sure responses to those emails remains a high priority.

If you feel you are receiving too many emails spend some time improving your FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section and providing an email link to the answer in your FAQ section. You should also encourage visitors to visit your FAQ section first and then contact you if their question is still not answered.

Autoresponders Review - What You Don’t Know About Autoresponders Might Cost You Money And Headaches!

“Money’s in the list!”
“Money’s in the list!”
“Money’s in the list!”
Of course money’s in the list. There is an absolutely perfect explanation for this. First of all there is no way on earth somebody will voluntarily give you their name and e-mail address if they were not interested in your offer. The incentive could be a newsletter jam-packed with terrific hints and tips for your niche market, a contest, a free eBook etc. Secondly, they will not stay on your list if what you send them does not keep their interest. It’s as simple as this.

If you do manage to come up with a great “bate” and develop decent skills in writing compelling e-mails it means you have gained your subscribers’ TRUST in your knowledge and they are ready to buy your product or click through your affiliate links. So, yes, money is in the list!

Today I am not going to give you a lecture about how important it is to have an autoresponder to handle your newsletters/autoresponder series. In fact, I am not even sure you absolutely need one. If your list is not too big (about 20-30 subscribers) and you are sending out a monthly newsletter, that’s not a huge deal. You can handle this task manually.

What I want to do is WARN YOU about few potential dangers you might encounter down the road if you do not choose the right autoresponders service or autoresponder software.

This is exactly why it is best to do a good research on everything that is involved in handling your subscription list and not get hooked up with all that marketing hype on autoresponders sales pages. Of course they will tell you they are the best.

But would they tell you ALL there is to know about what a good autoresponder should do for you? The answer is: NO, they won’t. They won’t because their technical capacity is restricting them. Or because they are trying to cut down their service price to stay ahead of the competition, their service development is severely crippled. But of course they won’t tell you any of that. It’s not in THEIR interest. If they will reveal you the truth, they will never get you to buy their product. And if you don’t know the right questions to ask before you sign up, you will find out what these painful pitfalls are the hard way.

In my search for a reputable autoresponders services and software I’ve bumped info some really bad ones. I am not quite sure if you can a web site a “scam” if they deliberately hide some facts from their potential customers just to make another sale. All that resulted in time lost trying to work things out and quite a bit of potential sales I could of made if I chose the right autoresponder to handle my mailing lists. I am not even mentioning the legal trouble some people experience because they did not know few simple but very serious rules they have to follow.

If you would like to save yourself lots of time looking for a reliable service to handle your mailing lists you can take a look at my personal reviews of the ones that I would recommend myself: http://www.provenincomemagnet.com/pages/autoresponders.htm

List Building - Copy and Paste in Your Autoresponder Opt In Code

After the point in your squeeze page where you have a call to action, you are going to want a web form that will collect your subscribers’ email addresses and names. In most cases, you can collect more information from them, for example, their telephone number or home address so you can promote to them offline. However, it is generally the case that the less information you ask for, the higher your opt in rate. So think very carefully before you add more lines of information to your web form.

A word on autoresponders:

There are basically a few different ways you can collect your subscribers’ names and emails. One is to buy some autoresponder software and host it on your web server. I do not recommend doing that because in today’s email environment, it is very easy to get your web servers’ IP address blacklisted in the email providers’ systems. Each time this occurs you will have to prove that you are following CAN-SPAM regulations. This can become very time consuming, especially if you have thousands of subscribers.

The second way to do it is to use the autoresponder service your web host provides. I also highly un-recommend this method, for the same reason.

The third way you can collect subscribers’ names and emails is to use a professional autoresponder company. They will generally host all of the software on their own servers, and they maintain strong relationships with the email providers, so they keep your emails delivered.

There are a number of different companies you can use, however, I use Aweber for all of my lists. At the time that I began to use them, they were ranked very highly for their deliverability rates (which is just about the most important thing to me). I have had a good relationship with them, my emails go out on time, etc., so I continue to use them.

Once you have opened an account with Aweber (or whichever autoresponder service you choose), and you have set up the autoresponder, you need to create the web form you will use to collect names and emails on your squeeze page.

Once you have done that, have the service give you the javascript or html code for the web form, and upload that to your web page where you want the opt in box to appear.

If you use the squeeze page builder I supplied earlier, there is a specific box in which to put the web form code, and the squeeze page builder does everything else for you.

Profitable Autoresponders - Get Started With Autoresponders

How important is an autoresponder to your online business? Can you really run an online business and build a list without an autoresponder?

Let me ask you this, what is central to every profitable web business? The answer is traffic and conversions. You see, the conversions are the only thing that really makes you money online. That’s it – if you don’t believe it, think about it some more. If no one converts from a visitor to a buyer – there is no money at all.

You have to have conversions. And to have conversions, you have to have traffic. You cannot get conversions without traffic.

So how do you leverage your traffic? What if I told you that the average visitor is worth 5 visits if you get them onto your list? So to do this, you need a squeeze page. You have to sacrifice getting the sale right up front and instead get the lead – and then you have the opportunity to get them to your sales page up to 5 more times on average. That is 5 times the traffic than if you don’t build a list.

But to build a list – you have to have a squeeze page – a web page that has as its only purpose the opting in of visitors to your opt in email list – and you have to have an autoresponder to do that.

And by the way, do not use a server-hosted autoresponder – you really need to have a professional autoresponder company do it for you. Sure, 5 years ago you could have done it yourself – but now you really need to have a professional company do it for you.

Autoresponder News - Auto-responders - Gotta Have Em!

An autoresponder makes it possible to respond quickly to a visitor’s interest in something on your web site. It also makes it possible to gather their email address in the process. In addition, autoresponders can be deployed in a variety of ways – in both pre-sale and post-sale activities. Typical uses of autoresponders include applications such as those shown below:

(a) Promptly answer requests for whitepapers, sales materials, or articles.
(b) Immediately respond to queries with sales literature.

(c) Immediately acknowledge or confirm orders and other requests

Autoresponders remove a significant amount of work in responding properly to your customers or prospects. In the absence of an autoresponder, you would have to do the work yourself or hire someone to do it. With an autoresponder, it all happens automatically and immediately and they can even be used to set up complete order processing. If, for example, you were to offer an electronic product such as an ebook or software download, an autoresponder can be set up to handle all the fulfillment tasks for you – respond to inquiries, fill an orders, charge credit cards and then send your customer a receipt!

There are many third-party autoresponder services available to choose from and the costs range from free to a small monthly service charge. Be aware that with some free services, they may append their own advertising or promotions to the response email you send to your customers, or they may siphon off the email address for their own use later.

Top of the line autoresponder software will run between $95 - $495 dollars for the license. These packages ensure that you have complete control over the type, content, and addresses of responses being sent. Some of the services or software will not only provide fulfillment operations, but will also do complete automatic order processing including Paypal® charging.

If you’re going to be doing business over the internet, don’t go without an autoresponser. The investment will pay off in no time at all!

Autoresponder - Making Money With Autoresponders

Autoresponders are like digital secretaries that can handle all your messaging needs by keep in touch with your customers and everyone else in your opt-in list. Autoresponders also help in building the list by gather details like email address, name, telephone number, address and so on and adding them to your opt-in list database. This information is then used in a specified or needed basis to shoot out communications to everyone on the list. You can thus send out seasonal or special events based emails or newsletters without having to remember everything. The autoresponder will do all that for your once it is set up and running.

The real advantage of an autoresponder over a human assistant is that the autoresponder can handle millions of customers at the click of a mouse without any mistakes. This is of great importance to a business and especially one that operates online.

By using an autoresponder you are making sure that your business will automatically respond to every customer request. Right from thanking someone for visiting your website to following up with them after they have joined your opt-in list, the autoresponder will do everything. In case someone requests more information then it can be configured to email them pertinent info within a reasonable timeframe. The autoresponder will help improve your image and build confidence in your customers that you are reliable because you are always quick to respond to all their queries and needs. It shows that you are someone with good communication skills and quite concerned about customer satisfaction.

Unlimited Automatic Responders – Why Do You Need An Unlimited Service?

One of the features of a paid automatic responder service is usually an unlimited number of automatic responders (read unlimited lists) and normally an unlimited number of follow up messages and broadcasts. Why do you need this unlimited service?

Most Internet Marketers agree that ‘the money is in the list.’ If you think about this logically it’s easy to understand why. Traffic visits your site and converts into a list subscriber for your free e-course or e-book.

There are a number of reasons that an unlimited service will be of use to you:

1. You can track the percentage sign ups from different traffic sources and know what source a lead came from.

By creating a list for each traffic source that you use it’s easy to test the response from that traffic source. You will also over time be able to know the exact value of that traffic source.

2. You can market more effectively.

By creating a list for each niche within your niche you will be able to identify which products are more suited for your list. For example, if your site is about internet marketing you can have lists interested in adsense, list building, affiliate marketing and so on. Each list can then be further broken down by it’s traffic source.

3. You can set up more than 1 business.

This sounds obvious but you may not have planned this. Reacting quickly to changes on the internet allows you to maximize an opportunity. With the flexibility of an unlimited automatic responder you’ll be able to quickly take advantage of any opportunities.

Free Automatic Responder – Is It Worth Paying For Your Auto Responder Service?

Many people making money online recognize the value of list building as a great way to earn. An automatic responder service is a must for any type of list building activity, otherwise emailing your list and tracking responses would become onerous once you reached around 10 subscribers.

There are many options available when selecting your autoresponder but the choices can be categorized into 4 types. An online paid service, an online free automatic responder, a paid software program and a free software program.

Lots of us are used to getting things for ‘free’ – it seems to have been the advertising slogan of the last 20 years. But all these free things usually come with a way of supporting the provider financially. When considering your autoresponder options is it worth paying for your service?

Although there are free and paid versions of both the first question you should answer when choosing your autoresponder is whether you need an online service or wish to use software.

The main question you need to ask yourself here is the one of reliability and ‘uptime.’ To provide a 24/7 sign-up service with a software based responder will require that your computer is permanently connected to the internet. If you have any doubts over this software isn’t the way for you.

The second is accessibility. If you need to access your list from more than one location then an online based service may prove your better option.

There are free and paid choices for the software option and if you do follow this route you should make sure that the software has the features that you need.

It is much ‘safer’ to choose an online service as these are dedicated to the auto responder service. They normally come with good uptime and deliverability rates and are backed up regularly.

Normally the main difference between a free and paid for service is that free services are supported by advertising. If you are absolutely unable to opt for a paid for service then a free service is better than no autoresponder but why would you choose to send other peoples adverts when you could send your own?

It used to be that online services didn’t have as many features as software programs, such as filtering of leads and extra information categories. Whilst software is still more flexible, with improved technology, many of the paid for online auto responder services now offer a much increased service in these respects.

The bottom line: Your list is a valuable resource and ensuring reliability and deliverability with a 24/7 sign up process should be the main priority. My recommendation would be to opt for a paid for online service and never to take any chances with my list.

If you absolutely need some features only available in a software program I would combine the 2 types of service and export leads from my paid for auto responder service.

Automatic Responder Course – How To Write Your Email Sequence For Maximum Effect

An auto responder course of emails is a recognized way to build a list of subscribers interested in your niche. You drive targeted traffic to your squeeze page and then offer a free e-course in exchange for your visitors name and email address.

You can then recommend products and services in your email course and generate sales for your own products or as an affiliate. The major benefit in marketing this way is that you can market to your list more than once, having built up your trust and credibility.

The more people that read and like your e-course and recommended products the more sales you will make and this translates to more money for you. There are two ways to get more people reading your e-course. Either get more traffic or increase the percentages of people who open and act upon your course once they have subscribed.

There are a number of things that you can do to increase your percentages:

- It sounds obvious but the theme and content of your course should obviously be what you originally promised.

- You shouldn’t skimp on your content. Write informative and useful content that your readers will be interested in. This is what will build your trust and credibility.

- Use your readers name in the subject line and write it in lowercase. This has been shown to increase email open rates.

- Use the words ‘you’, ‘your’ and ‘you’ll’ in your emails, especially at the beginning of paragraphs.

- Only recommend products and services that you have used and would recommend to friend. Nothing will destroy the trust and credibility you build quicker than a rubbish product.

- Format your emails into easily digestible chunks.

- Use a quality automatic responder service that will get your email course delivered in the first place.
