Doing A Keyword Research

Doing a keyword research is a vital part, if you have a website and you want to see how much your keywords are worth, than you can do a research on the internet that would tell you very important information.

First off, decide which keyword or keywords you want to research. The best keyword [also called a niche] would be the main topic of your web site’s page [if you have a lot of text then every page has a different topic], it would be a keyword that your text repeats it all over again. The best niche/keyword would be 5% of your text. A niche/keyword can be a one, two, three and maybe four words together, all those words make a sentence, for example ‘weight loss’ is a two words niche, however ‘weight loss success story’ is a four words niche. After you picked up the keyword [pretty hard process if you have a lot of text] you can research it, there are tools on the internet that would do that.

I use keyword elite, although it is not free, it gives a lot of information that other tools do not give. In my opinion it costs too much. Keyword elite will show you for example, how many websites exist that contain your keyword within the title of those websites, in other words if the keyword is in the website title that would indicate that the main topic of that page is the keyword. It can also show you how many searches are done in a month for that keyword on Google or other search engines. Why do you need to know? well… let’s say a keyword is searched 900 times in a month, but it has only about 30 websites that contain that keyword in their titles, then that would be a great keyword to drive a lot of traffic to your website, if the ratio of ‘websites title’ to ’searches’ is lower than 1 [0.5 is great] then it is a great start. Keyword elite would also show you how much Google AdWords campaigns run that keyword [and how much they pay for it - it's good to see how much revenue you can get from AdSense] and much more information. However there is a free tool to do part of the things mentioned here, it is an Overture tool - check it out here.

Further more, read this information if you use keyword elite.

Increasing AdSense Pay Per Click Rate

Most of the known Pay Per Click programs have a fixed rate per a click, however that does not apply to Google ad sense. ad sense have a choice of higher and lower Pay Per Click rates. It has something to do with niches.

A niche is a word or couple of words that reflect something, it is used to drive relevant traffic to the ads, for example we don’t want people that want to see cars to be able to see an ad of boats. every niche has it’s price, an advertiser wants to advertise his website that talks about cars, so he choose niches that are related to cars [car, cars, selling cars and so on…] than when that specific niche is searched on Google, than his ad is shown on the paid ads search results. the advertiser pays his pay per click price every time someone clicks his ad. on a website ads, if the website contains that niche within the text, than the ad will show up on the website. if there are couple of niches than every time when the page is refreshed a different ad will show up.

Some advertisers pay more money for a specific niche than for other niches, keep in mind that the advertiser is paying Google per a click, and Google pays website owner by percentages. the reason why advertisers pay more for specific niches is because some niches are searched much more times on Google than other niches, that can bring more people to buy things on the website, eventually if a niche will bring more profit than other niches, than more advertisers will want to use that niche. If more advertisers will pay for that niche than that would be called a competition, if the advertiser will still want his ad to be on top of other ads, he would need to pay more for that ad or to make that ad to look much better than other competitive ads, eventually some ads can be low paying and still be on top search results because they were written properly.

When an advertiser is paying lots of money to Google for that niche, than we would definitely like that ad to be shown on our website, because if someone would click on it, we would receive a percentage of the high paying price that is paid to Google.

We said that the ad will show up if the website text will have that niche that is related to the ad. It would not be a problem to write a text with that niche but how would we know how much every niche is paying? that is why there are lists of high paying niches.

I was able to dig that list, it was updated November 2006. You can visit it at:

Looking Beyond Google AdSense

Google has build an advertisement system which consists of two mechanisms that work apart, but keeps it together.

Google ad words is one of the mechanisms, An advertiser is willing to pay Google an amount of cash, if Google will advertise his ad. Google has two types of ad placement, one is on the Google search results page, and the other one is on other person’s site that advertise with Google ad sense. the advertiser is paying per a keyword, every keyword has it’s own price per a click or 1,000 impressions, the price is usually calculated by competition on that keyword. [competition: how many other advertisers are willing to pay for that keyword]

The other mechanism is Google ad sense, people who own a website can implement ads from Google ad words.

The advertiser can choose if to pay Google per a click or to pay Google per impressions. click is made when someone clicks on the ad on the website, impression is made each time when a user refreshes the page or other person visits the site, impressions are per 1,000 impressions meaning 1,000 page views.

While the advertiser is paying Google a price that is calculated per a click on a keyword by competition on that keyword, Google is paying website owners by a percentages of what Google receives from the advertiser. That means if the advertiser is paying more per a click for a keyword, than if we will have his ad on our site than when someone will click on it, we will get a percentage of the high paying price from Google.

The ad takes his position on Google search results page if some one will search a keyword that the advertiser is paying for it, usually the more he pays, the more the ad position will go up on the Google search results, the position can also go up if the ad is written better than other competitive ads. Note: the search results page has two columns, one is for regular results, and other column[usually the right one] is for paid ads.

On website ads, the ad will appear if Google robot will find [he searches your site] that the content of the page is related to the keyword, in other words, if you have a text repeating that keyword at least one time in each paragraph, than probably that ad is gonna show up.[if that keyword is showed 5% of the total keywords you have in the text, than it’s fine].

PPC Advertising Is Alive And Clicking

“The report of my death was an exaggeration”
-Mark Twain

The internet is probably the most fertile ground for information and misinformation ever known. Look at how many hoaxes have spawned through the internet, or consider the fact that WIKIs are basically wide open for anyone to submit info, no matter how credible the source (if there even is a source). Don’t forget the millions of blogs which are usually wide open for anyone to comment on anything. Of course, here I am pointing a finger as I’m about to spread some more information out there. I can tell you that what I’m about to share is based on good old-fashioned trial and error.

I have come out before against PPC Advertising as little more than a way to spend your money quickly. Many people out there would have you believe that PPC is old news, that it isn’t effective anymore. Instead of using Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising in my initial efforts to promote a website of mine, I tried using article marketing and banner advertising. The results were there, but they were not huge. I was getting some visitors to my site but the onslaught I’m aiming for hasn’t happened.

I then decided to get back to PPC Advertising, and my results have improved considerably.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m sure that given the right design and the correct targeted audience, banner ads can work well. Article marketing is still something I believe in, I just think the results from article marketing come at a gradual pace.

I’ve been running a simple PPC campaign for a website of mine for over a month now. My results have been greater traffic on a consistent basis. This, coupled with a form I set up to capture email addresses of visitors, is proving to be a powerful asset. Now I am driving traffic and building a list.

Ask ANY internet marketer out there - the list is G-O-L-D.

I will be looking at some other traffic generating ideas and will share those in my next update. Until then -

Enjoy the journey…

Pay-Per-Click - Formula For Success

Is There Really A Pay-Per-Click Formula For Success?

Affiliate marketers are keen at finding ways to get merchants in front of potential customers. There’s article marketing, building niche websites, forum marketing, social network marketing, and pay-per-click, to name a few.

Which Formula Is Right For You?

Each of these marketing strategies varies widely in the amount of time and money invested to capture targeted traffic to merchant goods and services. For instance, forum marketing and social network marketing require very little time or money. Article marketing requires no investment of capital, but can take a great deal of time depending on how efficient you are as a writer. Building niche websites is even more time-consuming, plus you have to shell out funds to purchase a domain name and cover hosting fees. All of these methods are great ways to earn income by driving targeted traffic to merchants who pay a commission on each sale you generate for them.

But there is another highly lucrative business model that you might want to consider. Now be warned, perfecting this method is not easy. Simple mistakes in your execution could cost you hundreds of dollars. But if you can decipher the formula, pay-per-click advertising, or can pay off handsomely.

More specifically, we’re talking about the pay-per-click to cost-per-acquisition business model, also known as PPC to CPA or traffic brokering. If you have been in the internet marketing arena for any length of time, you have at least a general idea about the marketing methods discussed above, but very little is talked about or even known about using PPC to drive laser-targeted traffic to lead offers. Now generally, CPA offers pay less than a few dollars for each lead generated, but if you know the formula for capturing pay-per-click traffic that converts, there is the potential to make hundreds and even thousands of dollars a day.

The method behind using PPC to drive traffic to high-converting CPA offers is to get your pay-per-click ad in front of as many qualified visitors as possible. There are many different underground techniques to do this (they are “underground” because a very large majority of PPC marketers do not use or even know about these strategies). Now, you shouldn’t be buying ads targeting general keywords and phrases, that would be silly. Not only will you get tons of untargeted traffic, your ad costs would be astronomical. What you want to do is target some of the lesser-known search terms – terms that even the most savvy PPC marketer wouldn’t think of bidding on. You essentially want to cast a wide net which targets as much traffic as possible, while keeping your costs as low as possible. This is the key to creating the perfect pay-per-click formula.

Why Is Pay-Per-Click to CPA Info Hard-To-Find?

There is very little information on the Internet about PPC to CPA marketing. Maybe it’s because this method is so new and smart PPC marketers are still trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Or maybe it’s so obtuse that there is no one right way to do it. The most likely reason is this – the guys making the big bucks have secretly discovered the ideal pay-per-click formula and are keeping it all to themselves.

Pay Per Click Company - Pay Per Click Advertising Can Make You Rich Or Make You Broke

What is Pay Per Click advertising? Pay Per Click advertising is a marketing method in which you “bid” on specific keywords and keyword phrases that are related to the industry in which you are advertising. How does this work? Well, let me give you an example. Let’s say that you’re advertising a website that is in the “Dog Training” niche. You may want to bid on terms like dog training, dog agility, dog training equipment, ect.

You can do Pay Per Click advertising on several different search engines, but most people use the “big three”, which are Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture), and MSN.

You can see the Pay Per Click or “Sponsored” ads by typing in a keyword phrase into one of the above search engines and then looking on the right hand side of the page. Depending on how popular the phrase is, you may also see ads at the top of the free search listings also.

Pay Per Click advertising works like this. You sign up for the advertising network, create an ad, enter some keywords and phrases, determine how much you want to pay for each click on your ad and you’re off and running.

WARNING! Pay Per Click marketing can change your life by increasing sales and building an enormous list of qualified individuals to sell your products to. However, if you don’t know what you’re doing you can lose your shirt and I do mean fast! I’ve heard horror stories of individuals starting campaigns on Google Adwords and losing several hundred dollars or more in just a few hours! I also heard another horror story of a gentleman that created a campaign, bid enough to get the top position on a very popular keyword phrase and checked his campaign the following day to find himself over $3,500.00 in the hole….with no sales made.

Stories such as the one above are just terrible. I really feel for these people, but at the same time, doesn’t it make sense to do the proper research and educate yourself before jumping into something that is going to cost you money? My goodness, if these people had just curbed their excitement for a bit and looked closely at what they were doing, they would have seen that they could have put a limit on how much they spent per day. Some people just have to learn the hard way.

The good news is that once you learn the correct way to run a Pay Per Click advertising campaign, you can virtually build yourself a business that is cost effective, profitable and will run almost on auto pilot. In other words, if you can wait and learn the things that you MUST learn before jumping in, get your campaigns set up, find out what works and what doesn’t and check it regularly, you can potentially become financially independent over time.

Day Job Killer - 2007 Clickbank Super Affiliate Marketing Handbook?

So who should you trust? Well, if you manage to roll back the clock to 2003, direct linking was so called the basic and staple of how internet marketers made money online back then. However, by 2006, Google and other major search engines began to punish and discontinue direct linking by purposely firing up the bid prices for specific keyword terms, actively encouraging advertisers to create proper landing pages, and limiting each search to only display a URL one at a time. The one ultimate motive they did that was to improve and increase the search experience for users all over. But this new rule that was brought down had the negative effect of enormously reducing the profit margins of all internet marketers and advertisers.

What Day Job Killer proclaims is to actually bring direct linking back to life as an advertising strategy that affiliate marketers and so forth can use in 2007 and beyond. Also one of the methods revealed is that, instead of just solely relying on existing affiliate strong holds like Clickbank and Commission Junction, Day Job Killer advocates marketers to start leaning on less saturated affiliate groups like Wal-Mart, Target, and the likes of them.

What I can only say is, only time will be capable in telling whether this will be an effective strategy that can be practiced and kept. Truly, the appeal of Day Job Killer’s premise is that affiliates do not need to master HTML or whatsover, cloaking links will never have to be in their inventory anymore, they surely do not need to waste time creating proper landing pages, and they do not need to create squeeze pages to build their list in order to make money.

With all things said and considered, the promise of Day Job Killer is that the easier, good old days of affiliate marketing are back for good. Is it really true? Can this be the true one perfect gift for you? To time, the jury is still out though on whether just simpler is better and profitable or how these search engine workarounds will actually be here to stay for us in 2007.

Bottom line is, whatever you do, before you even think about purchasing Day Job Killer, you should read up more about the book, including what other affiliate marketers like you are saying about it, real people who have used the product are reviewing about it, and not just people who are trying to make a quick buck from you.

Traffic Creation - Traffic Creation Using PPC

Pay per click advertising is surely the quickest way to divert quality traffic to your site. There are a number of benefits to it. You don’t have to spend ages to see traffic to your site. You don’t have to spend astronomical sums on advertising and it can be set up instantly. And now you have one of the biggest and perhaps one of the most efficient PPC programs in the form of Google AdWords. These are the ads that you would find in the right hand column in a Google Search.

It is fairly simple to understand. You would have to prepare a 4-line ad for Google and then have a series of corresponding “keywords” for it. As per your directions, when the keywords are searched for in the search engine, your ads would be displayed. If someone clicks on your ads, you would have to pay some money. Other PPC programs also function in the same way.

There is one more thing. The frequency with which your ads would be displayed and the position of your ads on the page; both would be governed by your budget. It goes without saying that the higher your budget, the more frequent would be the display of your ad. You also get the option of “bid” for the cost of the ad. The more your bid would be the better placed your ad would be on the page. But you would have to be careful when you use this PPC. You would have to choose your keywords well.

Beating Adwords The Easy Way - Affiliate Marketing Using Google Adwords

If you are playing the game of trying to beat Google AdWords it can be a total uphill struggle. Some days you can spend hours getting your campaign up and running and get a sale or two …. GREAT!

But for the next seven days NOTHING! What do you do then? It can be destroying for the affiliate marketer. If only you could just get one or two great campaigns up and running you KNOW that you could start earning some great money.

So how do you get to that point? It’s easier than you thought. All you need to do is stop concentrating on lists of keywords. You don’t need hundreds of keywords. What you do need to do is start targeting desperate buyers. Who are these desperate buyers? They are people who are so desperate to find the answers to their problem that they are willing to pay.

This is how you become a great and successful affiliate marketer. Stop worrying about having these huge lists that are way too broad to help you get huge amounts of traffic. I’m going to let you into a little secret here that will go against everything that you have ever been told. Traffic is NOT the answer!

Hmmmm, I hear you say. It’s true, look at it this way. What good is traffic flooding through the door of your site off the back of keywords such as “Make money online.” There could be so many things that these people are looking for it’s scary. They might be looking for the answer to where to invest their money online, or how to make money using ebay etc. You might get lucky and get a few people become interested, but the chances are that it just cost you for that click that was a waste of time.

So the answer is this. Quality, highly targeted traffic. How do we get that highly targeted traffic, the ones that have their credit cards at the ready? We have to dig down deep with our keyword phrases, this is where it can become confusing.

Think of it in terms like this: Are people losing sleep at night thinking of how to bring up their child? Probably not. So keywords like:

bringing up a baby
baby help
baby bible
etc,

are not going to do anything for you.

So think about what would be worrying a parent, what would keep them awake all night worrying (enough to make them part with their cash.)

How about:

how to stop my baby crying
why does my baby cry all night
how can I stop my baby crying
etc, etc

I’m sure you’re seeing what I am talking about here. Knowing what is a big problem and using what people would search for is the key here. This is highly targeted traffic.
