Page Ranking System Explained! - How To Get High Ranking Web Pages

Why Search Engines Rank Web Pages

Search engines strive to produce quality search results for their users. They want to be able to give you exactly what you are looking for at the best quality. One way that the search engines can tell if you have important information for its users is if your page has other pages linking to it. Various other factors come into play to ensure quality search results.

Number of Links

Although not the most important factor in determining a web page’s importance for a specific keyword, it is a popular way of getting up in the rankings. Every newly created page may give away a “page rank point” of about 0.10 or 0.15 in importance. This could be from external or internal links.

Percentage of Links

More importantly than number of links to a web page, is the number of other links on the page that link to a web page. To determine the amount of distributed “page rank points” to a web page from a link, multiply the total amount of “page rank points” distributed by the percentage of links.

The Dampening Factor

The dampening factor is the number that is multiplied by the distributed “page rank points” to a specific web page. This is then added to the given “page rank point” of an estimated 0.10 or 0.15. This dampening factor is usually around 0.80 to 0.85 .

Logarithmic Page Ranking Points

A web page with page ranking of 1 will have 1 page rank point to divide up and distribute. However, a web page with a page ranking of 2 will have 10 times that! And a web page with a ranking of 3 will divide and distribute 100 “page rank points”! This is why it is better to get a link from popular and respected web pages. This is the most important factor in getting higher ranking pages that I have found.

The Equation

Now, it’s time to put it all together. Below I will provide a sample equation to which you can plug in numbers to predict your web page’s future page ranking. Though the true equations that search engines use are trade secrets and the PageRanks are rounded to integers, this equation should give you a fairly good idea of your web page’s future page ranking.

PageRank(YourWebPage) =
(0.15) + (0.85)*{[(#ofYourLinks)*10^(TheirPageRank - 1)]/(Total#OfLinks) + (MorePageRankingPoints)}

Filters

There are several important filters that each link goes through before distributing “page ranking points”. These filters that can hurt or ban your web site include, but are not limited to…

  • Duplicate Content
  • Irrelevant Content
  • Fast Link Building (100+ a month)
  • Links From Inappropriate or Banned Web Pages
  • Inbound Links Having a “nofollow” Attribute

Boosters

There are several things that can boost your rankings in the search engines, too. Some of these are debated, but won’t hurt to encourage. Several boosters include…

  • KeyWord in the Title Tag and Meta Tags
  • KeyWord Towards Top of the Body of the Web Page and in Header Tags
  • High Traffic
  • Linking Keywords (anchor text)
  • Links From Government, Educational, and Well Known Web Sites

What The Heck is This SEO Stuff, Anyway?

There are so many people out there that claim to know about Search Engine Optimization and who claim to know what it means to have an SEO-friendly website, it makes one wonder if all of these people really know what the process is all about. Chances are you, the website owner, hired someone with the idea that you were getting great SEO result and found that your results were only mediocre at best.

Oddly enough, it is not just smaller companies that are confused by the entire SEO issue, but larger firms suffer from SEO confusion. Also, higher priced doesn’t always mean better service. Shop around and ask the hard questions before hiring an SEO firm.

The thing to remember is that SEO has changed since the beginning. Search engine algorithms have evolved and are far more sophisticated. This evolution means that the guidelines are continually changing.

A New Idea

SEO is a little more than ten years old. In the beginning, webmasters began optimizing sites by submitting a page or two to search engines that would then send out a searchbot or spider to crawl that page, extract links to the other pages in the site and gather the information found on the pages it finds.

The process involved a search engine spider downloading a page and storing it on the search engine’s own server when a second application, known as an indexer, extracts the information found on the pages. The information about the pages, such as the words found on the pages, links, where everything is located on the page, is then placed into a scheduler to be crawled again at a later date.

Early versions of search engine algorithms relied solely on the webmaster providing information through the metatags, or index files. Metatags provided a kind of road map to the page’s content. As soon as webmasters realized this was the procedure, it became an unreliable system because webmasters could manipulate keywords and descriptions so that they had nothing at all to do with the actual page content.

Google is Born in 1998

All of this changed when Google arrived on the scene in 1998. Not only was Google’s simple page design appealing to Internet users, users liked the off-page factors such as page ranking and the on-page analysis of a website. This eliminated the keyword manipulation that plagued other search engines.

SEO Today

SEO today is improving the volume of website traffic and the quality of visitors to the site via the use of targeted keywords. An SEO expert has to think like their consumer, and they also have to understand how the algorithms work. SEO should involve the site’s code, overall design, text-rich content, accurate navigation and eliminate anything that would prevent a spider from crawling the entire site.

In addition to organic searches to the site, a good SEO firm will establish a pay-per-click advertising campaign to boost site visibility. Google considers popularity a major factor when ranking a page.

A well-conceived plan will attack the web from several different angles at the same time. Social networking is an important factor as well as inbound links. The inbound links have to be chosen carefully and have a relationship to the website in some way. Otherwise, Google may consider the site simply a link farm.

Search Engine Optimization Quick Start

Have you ever heard of long tail keywords? They are keywords that are down at the end of a search result listing. Mistakingly, a lot of newcomers to SEO believe that focusing on using long-tail keywords is pointless and a complete waste of time. In reality, since there is less competition with these particular keywords, you will find them a lot easier to rank with, even if less people are using these keywords to preform searches.

For example, if you run a weight loss website, trying to rank with keywords such as “Weight Loss” will be absolutely difficult if not impossible to do. This is because there is so much competition in that niche doing the very same thing. So, to avoid wasting time (and money) try going another route, such as the long tail keyword tactic I just mentioned.

The first step is to find a variety of keywords that you can target. An easy way to do this is by using WordTracker (or similar programs). This will help you locate long tail keywords that don’t have as much competition.

http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com

If you search for a keyword such as “Weight Loss”, you will quickly discover that there are over 15,000 searches a month on this kyword alone. However, if you type these keywords into Google’s search engine (Google.com), you will see that the competition is stiff, in fact there are over 50 million websites in that niche.

This means that you will be competing against other webmasters who are targeting the very same keywords that you are. Of course they want to focus on the main, popular keywords because those are the words that people are manually typing into the search engines looking for relating websites. The problem is that the marketplace is so crowded that you will have little chance of actually moving ahead of these guys.. the quicker you figure that out and focus on finding a different route to take, the better your efforts will be.

So, to start find a keyword that still gets used but is not as popular. In our example, if you are in the weight loss industry, perhaps the keywords “weight loss frustration” would be an easy long-tail combination to go with. Use WordTracker to see if it’s worth your while. Once you have chosen your first long-tail keyword, go to Google and type it in. Check how many advertisers show up (on the right side of the Google results window) when you enter in this keyword combination. Look at the main results as well to determine what you are up against. If you notice that a lot of the main results are sub-pages of a website rather than the main page, you’re onto something as search engines are not ranked as high as main pages of sites. This will make it a lot easier for you to knock it out of place and show up in that spot instead.

Be sure to check out the PR (Page Rank) of the first few websites in the search engine results page as well. This can help you determine the popularity of that particular site/page (the higher the PR Rank, the more popular it is). Page Ranks are determined by a number of factors including incoming links from external websites.

If the first few pages that appear contain a low page rank, once again, you’re onto something. If you aren’t sure how to determine the Page Rank of a particular website, there is a real handy FireFox plugin that you might want to download. It will show you not only the Page Rank of individual websites but also incoming links (from Google, Yahoo, etc), the age of the domain and even the WHOIS information.

SEO 101 - Optimizing Your Website

The first step to SEO is to select a page title for your website. The title of your page should only include your PRIMARY keyword phrase (the main keyword that you want to optimize). For example, if you were building a website or blog that was focused on “101 Ways to Healthy Eating”, that should be the title of your page. Don’t change it up or add additional keywords to it. Use the title of your page to hone in on the exact keyword phrase that you want to optimize and nothing else. Remember, every keyword has to be optimized separately, meaning that if you have done your homework, checked WordTracker for a specific keyword (or keyword phrase), checked out the competition on Google, etc etc.. and you decided to that the specific keyword phrase you searched out will work for you, that is what you need to use. Even changing or adding a single keyword means going back to the drawing board and re-researching that phrase from scratch.

SEO sucks, I know - but it’s an important process if you want to rank higher in the engines and in turn, garner more traffic to your website.

The next step is to create a heading for your page, which is the first thing your visitors see when they land on your website. Some webmasters like to use header graphics and if you are one of them, be sure to include your keyword in the ‘alt’ tag, otherwise if you are using a textual header, be sure that you use the

tag.

Here’s an example:
Code:

This is your header

Another tip is to keep your

tag to the left of your page if possible. The logic behind this is that the Google bots (spiders) that visible your website read from left to right. It’s known that having your

tag too far on the right alignment can actually hurt your SEO ranking. The only exception to the way the bots will read your website is if you have links in a left aligned navigation menu. In this case, the Google bots will then read the links down the left hand side column before it further explores your page.

You will also want to add a sub-header to your page, but for sub headers, you should use the

tag instead (this makes your text a bit smaller than your header tag).

A sub header is the line underneath your header.

Example:

Code:

This is your header
This is your sub-header text

So, for a website focusing on 101 Ways To Healthy Eating might use a sub header (sub title), such as: “Healthy Eating Techniques That Work”. Regardless what you decide to use, be sure that you also use your primary keyword (the main term/phrase you are optimizing) included in your sub title as well.

Keyword Stuffing

Although you should always include your primary keyword (phrase) in your sub title as well as in your main title, one thing you want to avoid is what is referred to as Keyword Stuffing. This is simply listing your primary keywords repeatedly on your page. Search engines like Google will quickly detect this and your ranking may go down so be sure to sprinkle your keywords throughout your page but use common sense when doing so. An easy way to determine if you are over-using your keyword is to read it out loud.

Does it make sense to you?
Does it sound natural?
Is this how you would talk about it in public?

If it sounds similar to how you would talk about it in person, then you should do okay. If it is written in such a way that makes it difficult for an average person to read, it should be re-written. Pages created exclusively for the search engines do not do well, both in terms of your visitors clearly understanding what you are trying to say and in the way search engines determine how to rank you.

There are many aspects to cover when doing your best SEO possible. Other methods including having your page indexed quickly by getting posted (linked) on similar/related websites with a high PR rank is just one of those techniques to explore. The most important thing however, is the initial steps you take when setting up your page. Be sure to include your title tag, a brief meta description, research keywords and long-tail keywords, explore your competitors pages, check the Page Rank of other similar sites, and on and on it goes.

Once you start to remember that SEO begins from the time you create your very first page, you will find it easier to rank higher in the search engines.

Niche Dissection - The Anatomy

Okay, you’ve taken your list of interests, you’ve picked one item on that list and you’ve narrowed it down to a very specific keyword phrase. In this example, I decided to go with the more narrowed keyword phrase “Alternative Treatments For Acne.”

Let’s see what our demand and competition is.

How do we do this?

Well, the competition is easy. Just go to Google and type in, with the quotes YOUR keyword phrase. I’ll type in mine.

I get 37,000 sites coming up with that keyword phrase. Okay, not too bad. Now, let’s see how many monthly searches we get. To do this, go to a keyword suggestion tool and type in the same phrase.

I use many. Here’s one of them - www.wordtracker.com (you can use the trial version)

It’s not the easiest tool to use but with Overture now gone, outside of paid tools, there’s not a lot out there that even works anymore. Now, the tool will also give you alternative keyword phrases, because not everybody is going type in YOUR phrase. Wordtracker will give you a decent list.

Okay, type in your keyword phrase, again with the quotes, and see how many monthly searches you get.

In my case, not too good. My original phrase only got 2 monthly searches. And even the best word in my list, “Acne” only got 1688 monthly searches and it’s not very targeted. What I mean by targeted is this.

Does everybody who types in acne into a search engine want an alternative treatment? Some may simply be looking up what causes it. That’s why you want your target phrase to be as specific as possible.

So let’s see what we have 1688 searches for a non targeted phrase and over 37,000 sites to go up against. I don’t know about you but I don’t like those odds. Now, I’m not saying you shouldn’t pursue this, but if you do, I just want you to understand what you’re going to be up against. It will be an uphill battle.

Ideally, you want to find a keyword phrase where you have about 1000 - 2000 competing sites and about 5,000 to 10,000 searches a month. Believe it or not, these ratios exist. They’re not easy to find but they do exist. And when you latch onto a niche with very little competition and a good number of monthly searches, you’ve basically found yourself a goldmine. The key is cashing in on it.

Just keep repeating the above process until you find a niche that you are happy with. It may take some time, but it’s time well spent.

SEO Beginers Guide UK

What Is Search Engine Optimization?
Ask ten different people what Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is and you may receive ten different answers. For the purposes of this guide, SEO will be defined as the process of making changes to your site to make it more accessible to search engines and the people that arrive at your site from the search engines.

Search engine optimization is not about tricking the search engines. It is about understanding what elements search engines look for on a page to help determine the relevance of the page to a search term. By understanding what page elements the search engines take into consideration, and making adjustments to better present your page, you can improve your rank for a search term.

Search engines use programs called “spiders” or “crawlers” that visit the pages of your Web site and index the information on those pages. This includes the content that your visitors see when viewing your page and some of code used to build your page.

Taking search engine optimization into consideration before you build your site is the best approach. Fortunately, search engine optimization can also be performed after a site is built, but it will require making changes to your site.

It is important to understand that it will likely take more than a month before you see the results of your work. This is due to the fact that it takes time for the search engines to update their databases.

A basic overview of the content and basic code that the spiders or crawlers will look for on a page is covered here. The information provided is not specifically geared toward one search engine. Instead it takes a more general approach that will work well with most, if not all, search engines.
Each section starts with a brief description of the page element covered. You will then be provided with sources for further information including:

–Recommended Articles
These are articles that do a good job explaining the key concepts of the topic discussed. Each articles is linked with the option to open it in a new window.

–Check the Article Archives
Search Engine Guide provides a directory of thousands of search engine articles from experts across the Internet. This section will provide a link to the relevant category covering the page element being covered. The articles are arranged by date with the newest articles first. This will allow you to get the most up to date information and then do further research on older articles.

–Recommended Forum Threads
These are pointers to specific threads in search engine discussion forums that cover the page element being discussed.

–Books and Reports
In some case, there are books and reports that are available that cover the page element being discussed. For those that wish to have further research material, we provide links to sources that provide the books and reports.

- Domain Names
Having keywords in your domain is not a major consideration. For example, having a domain such as www.keyword-keyword-keyword.com isn’t going to do much, if anything.
If keywords in your domain naturally make sense and would make it more memorable to your visitors, then don’t be afraid to use keywords in your domain name. If you already have a domain name, don’t worry about switching just because it isn’t packed with keywords.

Don’t purchase multiple domains with the idea of having multiple copies of your Web site to get multiple listings in the search engines. This will likely result in a penalty from the search engines.

SEO and Local Search

It has been stated many times on the web that getting to grips with SEO is more achievable when you start to rank your site for local searches. I agree with this wholeheartedly. Trying to roll up your sleeves and compete for highly competitive keywords when you have little or no experience is soul destroying and nine times out of ten a persons SEO experience will end right there.

Thus local SEO is the way forward to gain those prized ranking positions and priceless experience. I will give a few examples in this post to help you achieve improved rankings for your site.

First let’s look at the Title Tag: For this example I am going to presume that your company does Web Design and your company is based in my local city of Glasgow. Now this is not rocket science but by having the phrase “Web Design Glasgow” in my title tag is as good a starting point as any. Some companies like to have their company name or brand in the Title tag along with the URL of the site. I always opt against this unless it is actually the company name or the brand that I’m more interested on optimizing for. Now as I have a little knowledge about keyword research I would also add the word ‘company’ so that our title tag now looks like the following: “Web Design Company Glasgow” - that’s it, anymore and you begin too dilute the strength of your keyword phrase.

Then in the keyword Meta Tag I would reiterate the title tag as is: “Web Design Company Glasgow”- nothing else as this is the phrase that I want to target. I know some SEO guys who completely forget about the Meta keyword tag as they know Google just skips this and goes straight into the content for the search terms. Personally, I like to use it because it’s just not Google I optimise for but all Search Engines.

The Description Tag is just that - it explains what the page is all about - so for this example I would put: “Professional and affordable web design company | YourCompanyName based in Glasgow” - nothing fancy just the right amount to help entice a user to click-through to your page. Notice the pipe bar in the middle of the description - this is a short-cut mode to relay different types of info quickly and effectively in a short sentence.

Our body content is the next stage we turn our attention too. Right at the beginning I would have a H1 tag with the words “Affordable Web Design Company in Glasgow” or something that not only once again holds our keyword phrase but also makes sense to a human reader. If you just code for Search Engine robots or spiders then you may get high rankings but all that effort will be in vain because it’ll just look and read awful to the human eye and they’ll exit as soon as they enter.

By also having your address in the site of your company you can again replicate the location you are trying to optimize for. One or two more mentions of “Web Design” in the content should be enough to suffice. Remember do things naturally - there is such a thing as over-optimizing a page and stuffing keywords every 5 or 6 words apart- this will do you more harm than good and may even get your site penalized.

Finally do some off-page optimizing by submitting your site to a few on-line directories. Some are paid, some are free, some require a link back from your site to theirs (this is called a reciprocal link).

When submitting your site to the directory make the “Title of your Website” in the submission form similar to your localized keyword phrase - “Web Design Company Glasgow” - this is known as having rich keyword anchor text and helps greatly in defining what your site should rank for in the Search Engines.

All in all this is a pretty basic level SEO task. We focus on one search keyword phrase and we localize it to gain a better ranking position. Give it a week or so then check Google, Yahoo or MSN to see if there has been improvement in your SERPs (Search Engine Ranking Positions).

Understand why these small changes have worked and once you see improvement move onto another page and run through the same process with another keyword phrase and so on and so on. At all times never make too many changes as then you’ll never know what is actually working for you or against you.

Earn Free Money Online With SEO

When I first started out with my internet home business, I spent lots of money on solo ezine ads, ppc ads, and so-called leads. Results were pretty average and not worth the money spent, so I began to look for ways to earn free money online. The idea is to utilize free methods of marketing your web site, such as blogging, article marketing and SEO (or search engine optimization). This means a greater profit yield and often better traffic rates in the long term. So, let’s look more closely at SEO.

SEO is simply optimizing your site with the effective placement of relevant keywords and undertaking a linking campaign to increase the number of back-links pointing back to your site. This increases your ranking in the search engines, with the aim being to get on page 1 for your keyword phrase. If you can get on page 1 for your keyword, you will have lots of people clicking on your listing and visiting your site. Provided that you maintain this position, you can earn free money online indefinitely.

The first step in your SEO campaign is keyword research. Grab a pen and paper and write down all the keyword phrases you can think of, that visitors might type into a search engine to get information on your niche. Once you have your list, go to your favorite keyword suggestion tool and start entering your phrases into the tool. Each time you enter a phrase, it will give you a heap of other related keyword phrases as possible options.

I always target low-competition phrases that have had about 1000 searches in the past month. I then enter this phrase into the main three search engines, within inverted commas, to see how many other competing sites there are for this term. I try to aim for less than 100,000 results per phrase.

My strategy is to build a web page around each low-competition keyword phrase (and have lots of phrases). That way, if I can get just 20 visitors from the search engines per day for each page, and have at least 50 pages, this is a total of 1000 visitors per day to my site. To me, this is more achievable than targeting a highly-competitive phrase and working my butt off constantly to maintain a high ranking for that phrase. Now, let’s look at on-page and off-page optimization.

On-page optimization is the work that you do on the actual web page itself. What you need to do is place your keyword phrase in your URL (if possible), in the title tag of the page, in the description tag and in the keywords tag, Then, sprinkle your keywords in the body of the text, in the first and last paragraphs, and make sure that you bold, underline or italicize the keyword phrase to give it more emphasis in the search engines. Don’t over-do it though. I aim for about 1 to 2% keyword density on my pages.

Off-page optimization is basically your linking strategy. The more back links you have pointing to your site, generally the higher your ranking with the search engines. Two great ways to increase your links are by submitting your URL to the link directories (preferably with a high PR), and to write and submit articles (with a link pointing back to your site) to quality article directories.

Once you have implemented all the steps of your SEO campaign, you need to keep the momentum going. Keep adding more and more pages to your web site, targeting good keyword phrases, and continue getting more links pointing back to your site. The results and the pay-off are definitely worth it. There’s nothing better than getting highly-targeted, free traffic from the search engines and earning free money online.

The Ultimate SEO Technique - 5 Ways of Acquiring Quality Inbound Links

It’s the dream of every online blogger to be the acknowledged king of the hill. When it comes to search engine optimization (SEO), to be king of the search engine hill is to have as many people link your site to theirs. One-way.

Search engine optimization is a method of preparing a site for high ranking in search engine queries. Methods on optimization vary between legitimate ways like continually improving content relevancy and ease of navigation to tricks like keyword stuffing, link farming, etc.

The term used for people to have your site linked to theirs one-way is to have an inbound link. With search engine giants like Google and its PageRank system, it places significant value on the number of links pointed to your site because it is considered a vote of confidence and relevance by that site.

In effect, one-way inbound links are now as good as gold. So far, there are five effective ways to acquire inbound links:

1) Wait for Offers.

The normal way of getting inbound links. This method is the most ethical of the strategies. It banks on the fact that if the site has great content that is constantly fresh and interesting, with a navigation system that does not require rocket science, people will eat it up. Offers will come of their own volition. Then you get your links.

2) Play Musical Chairs.

A devious way of getting inbound links using reciprocation with a twist. Reciprocation is the most common form of getting links which doesn’t hold much water with page ranking systems of search engines. Normally search engines can detect reciprocal links, but if reciprocation is layered, i.e. indirect, it takes the engine much more work to detect it, requiring more complex algorithms. The price for doing this trick is steep, though. You have to have more than one website. Some people make a pretty penny putting up links one-way.

3) Apply for Inbound Links.

Yes, it’s not a crime to promote your site. You can submit your site for review at people-run directories whose interests run into the subject matter of your site. If the world wide web is the analogy of the earth, a directory can be best described as a town, where almost everybody knows each other. Any new arrival gets a thorough once-over and the whole town votes to see if you can get to stay.

4) Links for Sale.

Some high-ranking sites are willing to sell their outbound links to the highest bidder. Sites that are popular with PageRank or other search engine ranking systems use this extra capacity for extra income sometimes.

However, the drawback to this is that the sites are only mercenary, selling their sites for rent. You have no link-equity other than the amount of cash you shell out to keep on existing on their site. Search engines such as Google are actively trying to dampen these efforts as it degrades the relevance of their search engine results.

5) Be Generous, Distribute Content.

Of all the strategies stated, this is a highly effective method of getting better quality, legitimate one-way links. You give other websites a reason to put a link on their sites to point in your direction.

All sites are always looking for fresh content for their sites. A site cannot expect to stay number one in relevancy if they just keep on refreshing the content of their sites once every month. Most of the time these sites will even pay for fresh online content to a slew of writers. For a discounted offer, you can have a “about the author” link posted on the site with your own content. Be creative. The key is to make it mutually beneficial.

Ultimately, with a little patience, elbow grease, and luck. It pays to just be honest and stick with the stuff you like to talk about. You don’t regret eating up the time and you enjoy the process.

Guidelines For Ethical SEO Techniques

Hundreds and thousands of people have made use of the Internet in a variety of ways, each in an attempt to subjugate its great power and potential to give profit and gain to users and businessmen. However, alongside the aims of these hardworking innovators and entrepreneurs are people who simply want to extort as much money from people in exchange for dubious products and services.

Web content is brought to a potential user by means of either direct recall of a particular service provider’s website, or by blind searches done on various Internet search engine platforms made available by Internet software giants. By entering words, known as ‘keywords’ relevant to the desired information, product, or service, into the search field, users can employ these blind searches to look for content closest to what they are looking for.

As is the practice, a search engine usually produces a list of websites matching the keywords provided by the user to a degree of relevance. These are ranked by relevance, quality of content, and sometimes, ‘visitor votes’ that come in the form of a measure of frequency of visits by people who usually find the content useful to them.

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is a method used by many businesses and entrepreneurs online in order to maximize the potential of the search engine by helping them rise in the ranks of the query response listings. SEO usually deals with organic searches, or those that need no payment to be listed among the list of likely matches to a client’s keywords, as well as crawler search engines, which are search engines that literally crawl through web pages in search of relevant links and relations between pages in order to find relevant content.

Dubious figures in the Internet, however, have made use of the Internet to forward their own selfish desires, leading to an unethical use of the brilliant SEO model. This has led to a divergent field of SEO, called “black hat SEO”. In this method, various deceptive schemes are used in order to manipulate search engines and dupe customers by providing them with websites that are completely useless. This method is also called “spamdexing”.

Ethical SEO techniques also exist in the Internet. Before even going into details, the most important ideal behind ethical SEO techniques is in providing better service to clients, and allowing this satisfaction to become key in promoting the website.

What does it take for a method to become an ethical SEO technique? There are various ways under the central guideline to achieve them.

1.) Quality Content

Creating quality content for the users in paramount. After all, no ethical SEO technique tries to get the better of any customer, or even harm them to the slightest extent. By providing quality content, users receive useful, timely, and secured information when they need it.

In order for that to be achieved, no amount of exaggeration or manipulation of the nature and content of the website is done to lead customers into believing that it contains the website relevant to their query. Ethical SEO does not employ any method that will mislead the customer into a site, and even offend the customer once he or she has found his or her way into the website.

2) Law Abiding

Ethical SEO techniques do not, in any way, violate any laws as regards intellectual property rights, international law, or spamming laws implemented at every level of every way. This would include not claiming for their own products and services that are not theirs to sell or produce just so they can fool users into providing sensitive information through which they can extort money.

3) True Impressions

A website employing ethical SEO techniques will never try to exaggerate and reflect a company’s image any more than how it should be portrayed; doing so, in effect, manipulates the customer into trusting a company based on falsity.

4) Level of Protection

Relevant to various security issues existent on the Internet, one last measure of how ethical a SEO technique is lies in the protection of its customers on the basis of privacy agreements. In providing the service sought by the client, ethical SEO techniques protect the confidentiality and sensitivity of the information made known to them in confidence by their clients.

Both goals aim to achieve the same end of profit. However, the road diverges and one must pick one over the other. In the end, ethical SEO techniques allow for users to maximize the profit they pay without impinging on the rights of other people an manipulating others; this by far is the best option to go.
