Start A Life List and Work Toward a Better Tomorrow

Writing a list of things you want to do is easy. Easy because you don’t have to look elsewhere for answers. You just have to ask yourself the question - what do i want to do? Some of you may have goals like learn how to play the piano or climb the Mt Everest, or maybe get married.

Everyone should have a list. List of things they want to do… before they turn 30, 40 or 55. This list should serve as a reminder from time to time. If you haven’t got one then head over to www.refriends.com and create one yourself.

Life list may not be something serious as if they are things you want to do before dying. That’s just for serious folks out there. But it could simply be the list of thing you want to do this month. Like being more polite, quit smoking, drink less coffee, go watch a movie, exercise more. It could be anything, healthy and beneficial. Maybe you can put it down, to give praises to your friends, or help a needy person this year.

Having a list for yourself is a great motivation. Reminds you from time to time things yet to be done. You take this list with you and look at it from time to time, make adjustment to life and fulfil the things in the list. Now, having to share this list with friends is even better. Get inspired and inspire others to life a fuller life. You’ll even get to know your friends better. Encourage one another, and help your friends achieve their goals and dreams if you have the opportunity. That’s what friends are for, for supporting each other and walking life together.

So what is the first thing you may want on your list? Don’t think of something too serious, maybe just to spend more time with your wife, children or say, take them out to dinner this month. Go on a holiday next month. Its a good start. Start with something simple that you can do and slowly build your list. You’ll find yourself with more purpose and do check the list from time to time. Write down notes. Keep track of your thoughts.

Organizing - A Very Important But Generally Neglected Key To Success

Organizing saves your very imortant resource of Time. Experts agree that you can never
regain your spent time. Once it is gone, it is gone forever. You can never increase
your time - it is fixed - 24 hours a day. Hence proper use of time is very essential.
That makes Time Management one of the very important key to success. Constructive use
of Time increases your efficiency.

Similarly, organizing saves your essential resource of Energy. Right use of your
physical and mental energy increases your efficiency. Consistent productive use of
your energy can bring your desired results faster.

If you are not organized, your valuable resources of time and energy are wasted in
finding and locating the important things. Some times it increases your frustration
when you are unable to perform the way you need to.

If you are properly organized, you can use your time and energy for productive work.
That in turn increases your efficiency and make you perform at peak levels. Time and
effort spent in organizing is definitely worth it.

I have learned these lessons about staying organized during the course of my
internet business. It has helped me a lot to increase my efficiency. I am sure you also
can benefit immensely from staying organized.

Organizing for Success - 5 Ways to Get There

Having a home office can be a wonderful work environment, especially if you have escaped from the confines of a corporate cube. There are a splattering of benefits from having your independence, working in your jammies, and being buried alive under a mountain of papers. Oh wait, that wasn’t part of your ultimate work-from-home dream. Unfortunately it can oftentimes become more of a reality than you would care to admit; your office is a nightmare, you have so much to do for work and not enough time to get it done in, your family misses you even though you are just down the hall, and you can’t even remember if you brushed your teeth this morning. This isn’t what you envisioned when you first started working from home.

Although working from home is the perfect situation in an ideal work environment, it is also one of the biggest reasons why people fail at their home-based business and why some corporations refuse to allow their employees to telecommute. It all boils down to discipline, organization and having the correct tools. Knowing what you need and knowing how you are going to get there are two totally different aspects of the same spectrum. You know you need to get organized and get on a routine, but you don’t know how to do it or where to even start.

5 Ways to Get Organized and Stay Organized

1. Know Your Organizing Style
2. Identify the Areas of Organization
3. Have Your Tools for Success
4. Plan of Attack
5. Manage Your Daily Routine

The key to the success of staying organized is to know your style and include it into your daily routine. Habits can be broken, but a routine lasts a life time.

Start Organizing With A Baby Step

Steps to organize your purse or diaper bag

Whether it is Spring cleaning or a New Year’s resolution to finally clean up the clutter, organizing your whole house can be overwhelming. This can be especially true if you are a new mom and are just trying to make a path through the dirty laundry to the bathroom. Here’s a great place to start. Start with a baby step. Start with cleaning out your purse or diaper bag. At least you can take this organizational accomplishment with you where ever you go.

- You will need several small purses or bags to fit into your daily purse. I like the clear flexible plastic bags that zipper or snap. I found 3 of these at the dollar store. Use as many as you need.

- Group like things together and keep these in your purse.

- Make a rule to never have loose items floating around in your main purse. That’s how you get the penny-gum-receipt-ball that comes out stuck to your baby bottle when you hand over the bottle to your mother-in-law.

- Keep your money, checks, and a few cards in your wallet. Take out photos and put into a flat clear zipper bag. Then you can find them when you want them and they don’t get “junked up” as my 4 year old used to say. Also, take out your more seldom used credit cards or membership cards, like the library card, the video store card, frequent shopper cards and put them into a separate bag. This might free up your wallet so that you might actually be able to snap it closed!

- In a separate clear zippered container, put all your make-up. This way, if you can’t remember if your Spring-time frosty lip-gloss is in your purse, you can just take out the make-up bag and see right through the plastic.

- Use the last clear bag to put miscellaneous items like, Band-Aids, a small calculator, gum, hand cream, nail file.

- Find a non-see through bag to put more personal items in like feminine protection and prescription medicines. I also carry a small pill bottle with one pill for every ailment I can think of striking me at an inopportune time. I use an old child proof capped medicine bottle for this just in case your purse is in an area where children might have access.

- Organizing your purse this way will also make it easier to trade purses. Just take out the little bags you need and put them into the next purse. Trading purses goes from being a 30 minute ordeal to being fun and really fast.

Once you’ve organized your purse, then start to attack your filing system. Once you get some of these everyday areas under control, you can start to breath a little easier and move on to other areas of your home. It won’t happen all at once. Every year that goes by I think I am a little more organized. Maybe by the time my kids are grown I will be done? But then I will have to organize all those dinner parties that my husband and I will be having. Yipee!

Popular Organizing Tools for Self Improvement

Being disorganized seems to be a way of life for many of us. There are clothes we might wear but never do, boxes of memorabilia that just sit in storage, piles of papers, and other things we might need sometime. However, when we really think about it we never really have needed those things before, and the unremittingly disorganized will be saying now, but I have used those things! All right – maybe you have on some occasion used those things you keep laying around. Even so, you can keep some of those things but keep them in a better organizational manner.

Popular organizing tools can help you in your work and at home. Having things disorganized can make you feel overwhelmed, stressed and anxious. Something as simple as cleaning out your closet and giving away all of your unused clothing and clothes that do not fit to charity can feel really good. Then you can take it a step further and organize the clothing you will keep! You can use storage bins, dresser drawer separators, and more to help you keep your clothing under control.

Your living space can also be better organized with bookcases, shadow boxes, ottomans with storage space, a coffee table with storage, a magazine holder, and more. If you have magazines, mail, newspapers, and other items just sitting around you need to make a space for them. When your things have a specific space and are put there when you clean, you will be better organized. Everything has its own place to be stored and should only be taken out when used.

A lot of storage tools can also double as great designer items. For example, shadow boxes can help give your knick-knacks a place and add a little style to your walls. Wall space should always be taken advantage of by using various shelves to store items. Another great popular organizing tool to have is a television organizer that will hold your remotes, paper, pens, and a small book. That keeps everything in one place that serves the same purpose, and you won’t be searching frantically for a remote or a pen and paper when you need it!

Organize your kitchen with a microwave cart, a hanging vegetable and fruit holder, and some vases for your large utensils. These tools can help keep everything in its place and off of your counter tops and kitchen table.

Your workspace can also be better organized by utilizing popular organizational tools such as a file cabinet for storing important paperwork, decorative boxes and inboxes to help keep your desktop neater, and a specific place for smaller items such as pens, pencils, paper clips, and staples.

Using organizational tools in your everyday life can make everything much simpler, more convenient and easier on you. Your things will have their places and your time will be better used by creating plans and goals. Improve yourself by using popular organizational tools!

The Herbal Remedy - Alternative Healing

Concept of Multi Tasking

One of the virtues of success is about accomplishing a lot within a short time. That’s what is called efficiency- having a greater output than input. Is this magic or rocket science? No! Not at all. It is about how well you can manage your activities with your time. The art of balance is very important to achieve this. You need to be able to strike a balance to different activities, or else, you’ll find yourself in a fix.

Everything in this life is built on diversity. Just take a look at most species of living things. They come in two forms- male and female. Even identical twins have some form of variation. Almost everything has similar but different kinds. This also applies to our daily life. We all want the good things of life and want to achieve as much as we can. We aim at attaining financial success, marital success, professional success, career/academic success, spiritual success, physical/mental success and an unending list of goals. All these things are complementary in terms of our wants and needs. No one wants money without happiness; no one wants a good career without money. We all want one thing simultaneously with another.

Satisfying a particular want without the expense of your other wants can be done through understanding the concept of multi-tasking and mastering the art of balance. This quality is possessed by people who have what I call mental maturity. It requires self-discipline, perseverance and determination in all aspects of one’s life.

People who easily get carried away will find it difficult to develop this quality. I used to be a victim of getting carried away. But with the help of God, strong positive affirmation and belief. I have been able to overcome this problem. If you have a similar problem, believe you too can overcome it. All you need is the required tools and in no time, you’ll get there.

Storage Solutions for the Bedroom

Bedrooms are where we escape to for sleeping and relaxing, but sometimes, they can become storage rooms when we don’t know where to put things. Clothes pile up on furniture and it becomes difficult to find what we are looking for.

Here are some creative ideas to make the most of the space you have.

Closets:

Maximize closet space by installing a closet organizing system. A custom designed closet can add so much storage space, but can be expensive. Less costly options are available at many department stores, such as Target. Mix and Match closet storage units are sold separately and reasonably priced. Take stock of what you need to store and decide which pieces you will need to purchase.

Use clear storage boxes to store children’s clothing according to size and age. Store it in the closet for future use or to prepare to donate or sell. They can easily be stacked and keep the clothing dust free and protected. In these boxes, they can even be stored in the basement if closet space is limited and they won’t be ruined by dampness.

Use a hamper in the closet to collect clothing as children grow out of it, when it’s full, pack it up into a storage box.

Under the Bed:

Another option, flat plastic storage boxes made especially for under the bed are perfect for seasonal clothing when not in use or other things you don’t need often, but can’t bring yourself to toss. Vacuum-packed storage bags are also easily stored under a bed.

Hanging:

Hang hooks in the closet for robes and pj’s for quick and easy access. A wall mounted tie rack makes grabbing a tie in the morning a breeze. Hang your purses as well. Use a hanging show rack on the back of the closet door for shoes, or slippers or other items, belts, socks, anything small you don’t have to have to search for.

Shelves:

Keep clutter to a minimum by hanging whatever you can, including shelves. Wall mounted shelves for accessories keep clutter off your dressers.

Take a day to organize your bedroom storage and you’ll create a more serene space. Everything will be easily accessible and more apt to stay organized.

Conquering Clutter

For many people, organization means de-cluttering visible living space, such as a bedroom or living room. Often, items that do not have a designated place are stashed out of sight in closets or under beds. While this temporary fix removes clutter from immediate view, it does not solve the clutter problem. Those “hidden” items will certainly resurface in time, and still without a place to go.

To really organize, you must create a system that designates a specific place for everything you own. Items that are used together or that fall into the same category should be kept together. To begin, forget simply trying to work with your current organization approach. Staying in the comfort zone may prevent you from creating a system that maximizes space and makes your daily life more convenient.

It always helps to get rid of some useless and outdated possessions to begin the organization process. We often hold on to worthless possessions, thinking that surely we will someday need them. A good rule of thumb is to toss or donate items that have not been used for a year or more. Ask yourself if you will really miss the item if you never see it again. If the answer is no, toss it or give it away. Anything with no sentimental value that you do not use but is still taking up your living space is clutter.

Once you have gotten rid of the excess and categorized, make sure you designate a specific place for everything. A common mistake is not finding a permanent place for items that are used often, such as remote controls, mail, and keys. Consequently, these items collect on tables and counters, and create disorder. If you have this habit, choose a place for each item, and then use it. Storage solutions such as coat racks and baskets can be easily integrated into the décor of any room, and can prevent the collection of unsightly clutter.

To get your mind into organization mode, take notice of the things that you use throughout your daily routine. These items should be stored in the most accessible places, such as eye-level shelves or the front of cabinets. For instance, if you make coffee first thing every morning, all of the supplies for making coffee should be grouped together in one accessible, logical location. Items that are used only once a week or once a month should also be organized into categories, but do not have to be as prominently placed as your everyday use items. Getting into the organization mindset is the first step to creating an organized living space where you can relax.

Win the War Against Clutter, One Box at a Time

You do not need to feel overwhelmed by the clutter surrounding you in your home. You can win the war against clutter and all it takes is a box a day.

When you feel overwhelmed by a project, the easiest thing to do is walk away from it. While this makes you feel better in the short-term, it actually makes the long-term outlook even worse because, by doing nothing, you are allowing the problem to get worse. If the problem is worse the next time you think about trying to tackle it, you will feel even more overwhelmed than you did before. Start putting an end to this pattern today.

The best way to approach situations that tend to overwhelm or frustrate you is with baby steps. Doing just a little bit at a time allows you to make progress yet avoid that pit in your stomach that makes you want to throw in the towel. Here is a great way to approach your household clutter with baby steps.

Get yourself a medium-sized box. The boxes that reams of paper come in work great. Every day fill the box with one type of clutter. For example:

Day 1: Recycling

  • Old newspapers

  • Old magazines

  • Telephone directories

  • Junk mail

Day 2: Trash

  • Since you want to save your box, you may actually want to use a trash bag for this so you can take straight to the curb. Just make sure the bag you use is not too big. One tall kitchen bag at a time would make excellent progress.

Day 3: Book Donations

  • Donate your unwanted or your children’s outgrown books to your local library. You can ask them for a receipt to claim your donation on your tax returns.

Day 4: Clothing Donations

  • Your children’s outgrown clothing

  • Any clothing that you have not worn in the past year

  • Donate your clothing items to your favorite charity. Be sure to get a receipt for your tax returns.

Day 5: Toy Donations

  • Donate any toys that your children no longer play with to charity or to the pediatric ward of your local hospital. If possible, get a receipt for tax purposes.

Once the box is full, stop. It is very important that you stop when the box is full or you will risk overdoing it and winding up right back at the frustration you started with.

The next step is crucial to your decluttering success. The same day you fill a box get it out of your house. Do not set the box aside to take care of later. It will just wind up becoming another pile of clutter for you to become overwhelmed by. In order for you to see the progress that you are making you must remove your filled boxes from your home immediately.

If you have filled a box of recycling, put the contents into your recycling bin and be sure to put it at the curb on the next pick up day. If you do not have curbside recycling in your neighborhood, take the box to your local recycling center.

If you have filled a bag of trash, put it in your outside garbage receptacle to be placed at the curb on your next pick up day.

If you have filled a box full of anything that you intend to donate it, put it in the back of your car and take it to the drop off center for your chosen charity.

Be sure to save your box so you can fill it again the next day. When you run out of types of clutter to fill your box with, start over again from the beginning. Continue to repeat the list until you have cleared your home from clutter completely.

If you remove one box of clutter from your home every day for one month, you will have removed 30 boxes of clutter from your life! So while it may not seem as though you are making much progress in the short-term, the long-term results are amazing!

The Time-Clutter Continuum

Do ever find yourself making wishful statements like—

Someday I’m going to get this place organized.

or the ever hopeful

One of these days I’m going to straighten up that garage.

or even the pessimistic—

No point in cleaning that out till the kids leave home.

If you’ve ever uttered one of these phrases, chances are pretty good you’re living in a time-clutter continuum. You see, people who live in a time-clutter continuum are slightly out of phase with the rest of the world. A small variance in their personal time line makes them perceive clutter as a time-related problem. In their minds, the amount of clutter they live in is always greater than the amount of time they have to organize it.

Now, to those of us who are not affected by the phase variance, it appears to be a straightforward case of procrastination. In order to compensate for the difference in time lines, a slipstream of constant reminders to the affected individual is the most effective solution. No, it’s not nagging. A clutterer needs to have someone pushing, tracking, and energizing them. This is what keeps the clutterer on course for an eventual epiphany. Your constant barrage of nagging reminders will eventually register as an anomaly that must be investigated.

It’s impossible to predict when it will happen, but just as sonic boom precedes an object breaking the sound barrier, a crisis will surely precede the epiphany. It may be a missed deadline at work due to lost paperwork. It may be a child left stranded somewhere because of an unread note. Whatever the cause, be prepared for the fallout. The clutterer’s lack of organizational skills combined with your barrage of reminders has to pay off. Someday when you’re least expecting it, the time-clutter continuum will close.
