Losing Money On PPC? Write Articles!

There is another way to promote your business other than pay per click. I made the serious mistake of using PPC to get more traffic to my sites and almost went bankrupt over it! PPC is great if you are already making a fortune on the web, but most of us are still struggling and only wasting our money on PPC. Until you learn how to truly position yourself with PPC to the point of profitable conversions, my suggestion is to write articles about your Internet business. Doing this will increase your traffic remarkably. Plus, the articles provide many other benefits for your site.

Some of the benefits of article writing are higher rankings in search engine results of keywords pertaining to your site. Articles also increase the confidence and trust of customers to your site. The best advantage of writing articles about your site is the linking to your site from the article site or newsletter you submit your article to. If readers enjoy your article they will tell their friends, co-workers, and family about it, providing an even larger volume of traffic.

Internet marketers know that articles are very important to a website. The larger volume of traffic, the greater the sales. Your traffic trusts and believes in you because your articles prove you know what you are doing or talking about and the better your sales will be.

The majority of people hate writing articles and I was one of them. But, after you get started, it’s really not so bad. Making an outline of what your website or business is about will help you to write precisely what you want your visitors to know about you and your site.

If you would rather spend your time on other things instead of writing, you can also get articles from the Public Domain. These articles are for public use and you can use them in newsletters, put them on your and submit them to article sites as if they were yours. You do not need to worry about penalties, fines, or copyright infringement by using public domain articles. The downside to this is these articles are free for everyone and a lot of your competitors have access to them too. You need unique and original articles with your own keywords to make a positive ranking, so this could be a dilemma.

The best way to promote you site is to actually sit down and write your own article about it. Then you will have no worries about another site using the same public domain article as you. Keep telling yourself how important it is for your business and your website and it won’t be so hard to come up with your own words. As your business builds from your own articles, you will find that you have more to write about. So sit down, start typing some sentences and you’ll find it gets easier and easier! Now, write your articles, start submitting them.

Article Writing and Editing - Tips To Improve Both

Editing an article should come after you have wrote it. Many people do not do a good job of editing. In this article we will take about writing and editing and how to do a better job of improving both.

Editing your article is not the same as writing it. If writing does not come natural to you editing can really slow you down. The more time you spend editing the less time you spend writing and that is just the opposite of what you want to do.

So what you do is you start typing and you edit when you are finished. If you use a handy little tool like Article Notepad you can type your whole article without ever being shown that you are misspelling a word. When you are done you can go back and proofread to make sure you have not left any words out.

Then go to Spellcheck.net and paste your article in and spell check it. Doing it this way will help you keep your emphasis on the quality of the words in your article and not on your ability to type and spell.

We like to say write like you speak. Do you start and stop in the middle of all of your sentences. Probably not, but writing and editing is just like doing that. Now if you are not very strong in English for example you will want to run a Grammar check when you are done as well.

Grammarcheck.com offers free newsletter to help you learn to write better using correct grammar. For less than $100 Whitesmoke.com offers a tremendous program for writing, editing and checking the grammar of your articles.

You can improve your medical writing, business writing, legal writing, creative writing, or get an executive package that includes it all. Whitesmoke.com offers an instant access download to help you start writing and editing right away.

Here is the most important point of this article. To be a better writer you need to practice. If you spend more time editing then you do writing you are short changing yourself and your ability to grow as a writer.

This is not to say that editing is not important. An article full of spelling and grammar errors loses it’s credibility. You need to make your article presentable. Only then will it be read with an open mind and provide the attention you intended it bring.

Writing and editing, as you can see from these tips, should not be combined. Your article writing will improve if you let your creative juices flow before you edit your next masterpiece.

Turning Your Articles Into Cash

You’d be surprised how many people in this world are decent writers. Okay, maybe they’re no Hemmingway, but they can certainly put together a coherent English sentence. Many of these people would love to take their skills to the next level and actually make some writing with their articles. Well, this article will give you a very simple blueprint for turning YOUR articles into cash.

The first thing you need to do, and I can’t stress this enough, is to make sure your writing skills are solid. Articles that sell have to be written with a certain quality. If you don’t have these skills, don’t worry. Later on I’ll show you how you can get them.

The next thing you need to do is a little bit of research. If you want to write articles for profit, you have to find out what it is that people want to read. This is actually very easy to do on the Internet. Simply go to any search engine and type in a word, phrase, activity, or whatever. You will find a number of websites for these search terms. The more sites you find, more likely than not, the more demand there is for this information. For example, if you typed in “baseball players” you’d probably find hundreds of thousands of sites, if not more. So writing articles on a topic as popular as baseball players will probably give you ample opportunity to capitalize on those articles. Find out where the money is and go after it.

After you have discovered your niche, so to speak, the next thing you need to do is search out places online that accept articles for the topic you chose. When you find one in your search, send them an email and ask them if they would be interested in any articles on this topic and if so, how much do you pay for them. Most of the places you will find will be article directories or sites that specialize in accepting articles for payment.

However, there is another road you can take that few people know about. In your search, you will find a number of sites that specialize in the niche you’ve chosen. Maybe they have a site that has statistics about baseball players both past and present. There’s no reason why you can’t write to these places and ask them if they’d be interested in articles on your niche. If they’re a savvy site owner, they’ll know the value of content and will probably make you a decent offer.

These are just a couple of the many avenues you can take to get your articles online and get paid for them. We’ll cover other ways in future articles. Now, if you’re not sure if you’re article writing is up to par, check out my signature. There is a resource in it that should help you a great deal.

Turning your articles into cash is easier than you realize. You just need a game plan.

Get More Readers for Your Articles! 4 Tips & Tricks You Can Use Today

If you’re anything like most people, when you take the time to write articles, you want them to be read… and the more readers the better! However, you might be surprised to learn that formatting has a huge effect on readership. Good formatting draws attention, increases comprehension, and aids memory retention. Here are some fast and easy ways to turn formatting to your advantage and draw more readers to your articles.

Start with a snappy, compelling title

Does your title grab the reader’s attention? Does it promise good information to come? Your title should be a tantalizing tidbit that hints at the meaty info just up ahead. Many article writers aim for titles with numbers, like “10 Ways to Write Better Titles” or “5 Reasons to Rewrite Your Titles Today”. A promise of immediacy is also appealing to readers, who like to know that the information at hand will be immediately relevant and helpful.

Break up your article into short paragraphs

Short paragraphs make it easier for your readers to enjoy your articles, particularly if they’re reading on the web. Because people tend to read more quickly when scanning on a screen, short paragraphs and self-contained bursts of information are easier to follow. Your readers have limited time – help them get to the point quickly!

Use bullet points or numbered lists

Give speed readers something to work with! A series of short, easily-scanned headlines will also make your articles easier to read, understand, and remember. Readers will come into your article knowing what to expect. And they’ll have a convenient memory aid to help them take away the major points.

Include appealing photos

Since about 40% of people are visual learners, your articles will be much more successful if you include pictures! Visual learners understand and retain information most easily when it’s presented with a visual aid, like a diagram, an illustration, or a photo. Just like a teacher prepares lessons to help the information appeal to all students, a publisher should seek to incorporate various types of media so the information will appeal to all readers.

Additionally, polished images help a page look more professional, enhancing credibility. And the additional spark and color they provide will draw attention in the first few crucial seconds when a visitor clicks on to your page.

Does Your Article Have Life?

There’s an art to writing articles. It takes a lot more than command of the English language. Words without feeling are just words; lifeless, laying like a dead skunk in the middle of a lonely highway at 2 AM. So tell me, does YOUR article have life? Does it talk to people? Or is it as dead as Elvis? It is my hopes that this article gives you a few tips that will ultimately give life to your article so that it doesn’t suffer from premature death.

The biggest mistake that people make when writing articles is that they simply report the facts like they were at a convention of the boring lecturers society. I don’t care if you’re writing an article about “how to build a sun porch” and you’re at the part where you hammer the nails into your two by four. There is a way to do this so that you don’t put your reader to sleep in the process.

Here’s an example of what I am talking about. This is a hypothetical paragraph from an article on the subject of “The Beatles and Their Music.” I think this will give you an idea of what NOT to write.

The Beatles first performance in public was on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. They sung a number of tunes including “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, “All My Lovin” and “I Saw Her Standing There”. It was a very good show and they went on to be one of the biggest bands of all time.

Can you say dullsville?

Okay, here’s a much better paragraph right off the top of my head without even putting any thought into it.

The Beatles burst onto the American music scene by taking the Ed Sullivan Show and thousands of screaming teenage girls musical hostage for what seemed like an eternity of screaming and fainting. The songs, which included “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, “All My Lovin” and “I Saw Her Standing There” almost didn’t matter as you could barely hear what they were singing. What did matter that evening was that four legends were born and the rock and roll world was never the same again.

Quite a difference, wouldn’t you say? And I wrote that after a day of fighting with motor vehicles, fighting with somebody who committed product theft and just plain fighting with my sanity after my PC technician almost sent my new Raidmax into the afterlife.

So again I ask. Does your article have life? If not, then give it some. Use your heart and soul when you write. Don’t regurgitate facts. I can get a well trained monkey to do that.

God gave you heart.

Use it when you write!

More tips on writing next time.

To YOUR Success,

Steven Wagenheim

How To Write An Article To Make Money Online

Writing articles for the online world is one of the easiest ways to make money writing online. There’s not much to the article writing process: find a topic, find a slant, and make your points (while sticking to the slant). That’s all there is to it. That’s the genesis of any article you’re writing to make money online.

Let’s go through the process step by step.

1. Find A Topic For Your Article

Topics for your articles are everywhere. What interests you? In what areas are you an expert? It’s easiest to write articles on areas in which you’re experienced, so try to stick to these areas. For example, if you’re a parent, you’ve got a wealth of information from your own experience.

Personal disasters are a goldmine for writing articles too. Gone bankrupt? Article gold. Got diabetes or another illness? Ditto. Article gold.

2. Find A Slant For Your Article

You’ve found your topic. Now it’s time to find a slant - a twist to your topic. For example, in parenting, whether to breastfeed or not is a popular discussion. So, write articles on both sides of the discussion. Essentially, you’re breaking down a huge topic onto one small area, and then giving the area a twist.

3. Make Your Points - Stick To The Slant

Find four or five points you want to make in the article. Each point will be either one paragraph or two, in the completed article, depending on the article’s length. Write down the points you want to make.

Now you outline your article, and then you write it.

4. Write Your Article - Outline It First

Your article outline is simple. Here it is: Introduction, Make Your Points, and Conclusion. In the introduction, you’re introducing the topic, your slant, and the points you’ll make. Then proceed to expand on the points. Finally, wrap up the article by referring back to your introduction.

If you follow the above steps, you’ll write an excellent article.

Writing articles is a lot of fun, and it’s also highly profitable. When you develop your article writing skill, you’re have an easy way to generate an online income at will. Article writing is the perfect work-from-home career.
